I'm a thankful fox in Tokyo

Chapter 72 Practice

Chapter 72 Practice
Dong Yeyu lay on the bed on the floor, flipping through the scriptures in his mind, understanding and memorizing the method word by word.

I also combined it in my mind with some Taoist scriptures that I had read before, eliminating the dross and retaining the essence, and I gained some understanding in my mind.

I have a basic understanding of this state and know what to do next. My anxious heart, which had been filled with anxiety due to not being able to find a way forward, has now calmed down a lot.

There is a feeling of light at the end of the tunnel.

Dong Ye Yu slowly opened his eyes, raised his hand to look at his watch, and found that it was already two o'clock in the morning.

It felt like only a dozen minutes had passed, but I didn't expect that I had been watching for several hours?
There is still some time before sunrise tonight. After thinking about it, Dong Ye Yu decided to make a final effort.

It stands to reason that when breaking through this great realm, one should bathe, fast, burn incense and pray.

But the conditions were limited at the moment, so Dong Yeyu simply got up and went to the bathroom, filled the bathtub with cold water, and prepared to follow the local customs and take a bath, just as a ritual.

He didn't notice it before, but after he raised his foot in, Dongye Yu realized that he seemed to be able to only squat in the bathtub.

When I stepped out of the bathtub, I felt reluctant to leave as the water bill in Tokyo is not cheap.

It’s all put in, just soak it briefly.

With this thought in mind, Dong Ye Yu hugged his knees and sat in a tub of cold water.

Looking around this narrow and somewhat inhumane toilet, my heart, which had just finished reading the cultivation method and felt a little ecstatic, suddenly fell back into the mundane world.

The moon is important to me, but the sixpence under my feet is equally important.

Dong Yeyu silently calculated his savings in his mind.

I spent some money on buying pots, kitchen knives, seasonings and other things over the weekend. The tutoring fee from Mr. Iori was paid at the weekend, which was about 12,000 yen. Mrs. Sakurada gave me a little more than 270,000 yen, plus my previous savings.

I should have around 540,000 yen now. If I don't spend it lavishly, I can probably exchange it for a four-month trial card for Tokyo Celestial Dragons.

Higashino Yu sighed slightly in his heart. If he was in an economically underdeveloped area like Hokkaido or Aomori, he could live a very comfortable life with more than 500,000 yen.

But facing the money-eating monster Tokyo, this amount of money seems not enough.

Fortunately, I have a lot of income. If I save up for a few more months, I should have no problem moving to a bigger single-family house.

If you keep pigeons in this cage for a long time, you will feel like you are jade, and it is not convenient for practicing.

After drying his body and returning to the room wearing shorts, Dongye Yu stared at the night view outside the window and sat quietly for a few minutes to calm his mind.

In the past, it was just an ordinary night scene, but now it is so wonderful that a smile appears on my face unconsciously.

The first realm that he was about to break through was Yin Shen.

Patriarch Zhengyang once gave a detailed explanation of the Yin Spirit in the Collection of Zhonglu's Teachings.

Those who are pure yin without yang are called ghosts, which are the souls of ordinary people who leave their mortal bodies after death and are called ghosts.

When one refines essence into qi to the point where essence, qi and spirit are perfect and all spiritual orifices are open, and one has the skills to practice diligently, one can sit and observe oneself, concentrate the mind into a state of meditation and produce the yin spirit.

When it comes out, you may see a white light like a river in your eyes, which means the spirit is leaving your eyes; or you may hear the sounds of bells, chimes, flutes and pipes in your ears, which means the spirit is leaving your ears.

As their Yang Qi is not yet strong, they cannot break through the Heavenly Gate on their own, so they take a different path and follow what is more convenient.

After going out, I was free and happy, walking through the streets and alleys, and climbing the mountains by the water.

But it can take shape, not fractal.

But he can wander around the world, but cannot fly or change.

If the sun is high in the sky in midsummer, the yin spirits will be afraid and avoid it.

Therefore, although he has the aura of an immortal, he is still not away from the nature of a ghost.

Although he said so, in fact, the Zhengyang Patriarch's words implicitly praised the Qi cultivators who could refine essence into Qi and achieve Yin God. Most people do not have the fate of the Eight Immortals in the Upper Cave. The mortals basically endured the hardships of daily meditation and practicing the spiritual energy of heaven and earth. It is precious to be able to obtain the fruit of human immortality without going astray.

But unfortunately, although there are quite a few cultivators who have achieved the fruit of human immortality from ancient times to the present, those who can break through to the realm of Qi Refining and Spirit Transformation are rare.

Most immortals will eventually become ghost immortals because they cannot escape the limitations of their lifespan.

Dong Ye Yu thought of this and sighed slightly.

If I am like this in the future and my life span has not yet reached a breakthrough, and I really reach the level of a ghost immortal, and I don’t have the great opportunity to be conferred the status of a god, then my path in this life will basically be over.

Although ghost immortals are called immortals, it is more like a compliment.

Although they are called immortals, they are actually ghosts.

The lifespan is generally three hundred years.

The scattered Taoist scriptures given by the system before also contained a brief introduction to the ghosts and immortals and some records of their deeds. Although it was called Taoist scriptures, it did not look like an obscure scripture, but more like a travelogue.

The book mentions that most ghost immortals will make arrangements to reincarnate before their lifespan ends, in the hope that they can return to the path of Taoism in the next life, solve the mystery in the womb, and then embark on the path to becoming immortals.

But even if you make good arrangements, the chances of being able to regain the immortal path are quite small.

After all, there are more than tens of millions of living beings in the world, and finding a reincarnated ghost immortal among so many reincarnated beings is as difficult as looking for a needle in a haystack.

I can only say that it's pure luck and it's just a thought.

Some ghost immortals believe that they are not the eternal gods' chosen ones and are afraid of sinking into the mortal world. They dare not touch this low-probability event and instead try to take the path of possessing another's body.

This is a typical evil practice.

The body that was seized is not your own after all. Even if you have extraordinary talent and understanding, you will be stuck in the realm of Qi Refining and Spirit Transformation and unable to break through because of the incompatibility between the soul and the body.

Unless one is blessed with great fortune, has help from a master, or happens to encounter divine materials that can cleanse the soul and body, immortality can basically be said to be a delusion.

When the life span is over, he will become a ghost immortal.

Also, because possessing another's body is a serious sin, the Underworld's Punishment Department has long kept records of it.

There are twelve volumes of punishments for evildoers, and his name appears in every volume.

At the moment of death, the Black and White Impermanence from the underworld will come to lock up the soul, take it to the underworld to be punished, and then send it to the animal realm, completely ending its path to immortality.

From this we can see how difficult the path to immortality is.

Dong Ye Yu sighed in his heart, but he did not feel pessimistic or fearful.

I have lived this life again, and started as a wild fox. I now know exactly what to do and how to do it, and my heart is as clear as glass.

There are two "whatevers" in practicing Taoism.

Any behavior, thought, or consciousness that hinders one's spiritual practice is a sin or an obstacle.

Anyone from outside who misleads, hinders, or interferes with one's practice of cultivation is a heretic.

Dong Yeyu dragged the bed to the window, leaned against the wall near the window, found a comfortable position to sit down, silently recited the Sutra of Purity and Tranquility to clear his mind of distracting thoughts.

After all distracting thoughts were gone, he began to silently recite the mantra of refining qi and transforming it into a spirit. He used his spiritual consciousness to mobilize the true qi and essence in his body to circulate along the route given by the Shangqing Lingbao Dongxuan Sutra, and gathered them in his dantian.

Although it was the first time that I circulated my essence and energy in this way, I did not feel any obscurity at all. With the mobilization of my spiritual consciousness, my essence and energy circulated smoothly.

It's really magical. Dong Yeyu thought to himself, but his emotions were calm and he continued to move the things.
