Chapter 147: Mira is biased

After Rhodes finished paying his respects, Mira squatted in front of the tombstone and spoke to Lisanna in a low voice.

Rhodes signaled to Elfman and quietly retreated outside the cemetery to wait.

After a long while, he saw Mira stand up, reluctantly put her hand on the tombstone and rubbed it for a while before leaving.

The three of them walked together on the way back to the guild, and the atmosphere was somewhat silent.

"I'm fine." Mira said.

"Yeah." Rhodes nodded slightly.

Mira said: "I thought you would say that it's over and advise us not to be sad or something like that."

Rhodes shook his head: "That's what I originally planned, but even if I stand in the cemetery, I will feel sad."

Lisanna's tombstone reads X768~X782, which means she was only fourteen years old when she passed away.

Even according to the laws of this country, she would not be considered an adult until this year.

This situation should be called premature death, which is extremely sad for the family members and regretful for others, not to mention the inside story.

Looking at the sad faces of Mira and Elfman in the cemetery, Rod couldn't even utter a word of condolence.

As for now, Rhode took a deep breath and exhaled: "The president said that sadness comes from life and love. I can't stop you from expressing your love for Lisanna."

"'But we remember the dead not to let ourselves be immersed in sorrow for a long time, but to remind us to cherish life and inspire us to continue to move forward firmly. That is probably what Lisanna wants to see.' If there is a sequel, the president will probably say this." Mira looked at the sky, "What do you think, Elfman?"

"If you are a man, you must try your best to live and keep going no matter what happens."

Rhodes said, "That couldn't be better."

If it was really as easy as the siblings said, they wouldn't have been unable to use reception magic until now.

When they were about to return to the guild, Mira regained her usual smile and said, "Thank you, Rod."

Rhodes shook his head: "Don't blame me for being reckless."

"How could that be?" Mira smiled. It was rare for her to see him being so reckless.

And didn’t you act recklessly in the cemetery just now and pay your respects properly?
She thought for a moment and asked, "It might be very busy next time. Can you help me a little longer?"

"Okay, Rhodes, the bartender, will be promoted to assistant to the president's assistant." Rhodes said, "Will there be a salary increase?"

Mira said, "Because there is no such position in the guild, there will be no salary increase!"

The three of them entered the guild gate together, and Rhodes continued:

"I want to complain if I get a promotion but no pay raise."

Mira regained some liveliness: "The complaint has been received and rejected!"

Rhodes raised a hand: "Keep appealing, complain to the top management, the inspection team, and the head of the finance department!"

"That's all my fault. Keep rejecting them!" Mira knocked his arm down and said with a smile, "But as compensation, I can buy you coffee."

Rhode said bitterly: "It's even more inhumane. Forcing overtime to drink coffee means we have to work overtime until late at night, right?"

"So what if I'm inhumane? I'm a demon!" Mira made a vicious expression, but she couldn't be fierce at all. "So you want to go?"

"Yes." You'd be a fool not to go.

Elfman suddenly stopped and said, "Rod, let's have a fight?"

"Ah? Why?"

"I don't know why, but I suddenly want to fight."

The tavern suddenly became angry, and a bunch of people waved their fists:

"Beat him, Elfman!"

"Come on, Elfman!"

"It's up to you, Elfman!"

"What's your business!" Rod yelled, and then said, "Let's train and fight tonight." Everyone felt disappointed. They had finally confirmed that Mira and Elfman were fine and they could have some fun, but it was delayed.

Everyone was unhappy, so a wine glass flew out. If you don't want to fight, you can find something to fight. You're just sitting there anyway.

Rhodes casually raised his hand to knock the wine glass away, and with his other hand pushed Mira's back, telling her to go to the president for shelter first.

Perhaps this made some people even angrier and made them lose their scruples, so what followed were plates, wine bottles, and all kinds of debris flying over.

Rhode picked up a stool and spun it a few times to block the sound. Then he put the stool down and stepped on it with one foot, saying proudly, "I have some experience in dealing with flying objects."

"Rod! You bastard!" Gray got up from the ground and the stool was pulled out from under his butt.

Rhodes didn't even look at him, but looked up at the sky, not because he was arrogant, but because: "I don't fight with naked men."

Gray lowered his head: "When?"

"He still cares about these trivial matters at this time. Beat him up!"

Gray didn't know who pinned him down, and a group of people rushed forward and attacked Rhodes.

We have experience in dealing with flying objects, but how about dealing with flying people?
"Hey! You guys don't have martial ethics!"

I don't know who punched him, but he kicked back. I don't know who kicked him, but he elbowed him back.

The real man battle between one man and more than twenty people officially began, and the scene was in chaos.

Gray was pinned down at the beginning and then stepped on several times. When he got up, he had forgotten about Rhodes and just grabbed someone nearby and started fighting.

Elfman, who wanted to fight with Rod, was hit by others for no apparent reason and forgot his original goal.

The fight that was originally started to beat up Rhodes quickly turned into a big melee. No one knew who was being beaten or who was being beaten. Anyway, they just fought first and talked about it later.

Until someone couldn't control himself anymore and was the first to use magic, many people were ready to have a real fight.

"That's enough little brats, do you want to tear down the guild?"

"Enough is enough! Spear of the Thunder Emperor!"

Makarov and Erza's voices rang out at the same time, followed by a big hand and a blue lightning.

Most of them were slammed into the floor by the Guild Master's big hand, while a small number were convulsed by Erza's lightning.

Rhodes was one of those who was knocked to the floor.

"Ahhh..." Mira was watching the fun from the sidelines as usual, and seeing everyone getting unlucky, with her special focus on someone who was lying in the pit with a look of regret on his face.

Because someone pushed her close to the president, she was not knocked down by flying bottles or Elfman today.

A few minutes later, Rod sat at the counter, looking depressed as Mira applied the lotion on his face.

"I was careless. I should have sneaked out before the president got angry." Rhodes reviewed his mistakes. He was mainly thinking about throwing a few more punches to make up for his loss. He was too greedy for output.

"Don't go over this kind of thing." Mira patted his shoulder gently and went to the kitchen to get two peeled boiled eggs.

"Turn around and look up."

Rhodes did as he was told, leaned against the counter and looked up, and found that Mira looked good from this angle.

The egg was gently placed on his eye socket, rolling slightly, and it was warm.

These guys were too cruel and gave me a black eye.

It was a little painful, but Rhodes laughed instead. This fight... he didn't lose anyway, in every sense.

The group of people who remembered why they were fighting became even angrier when they saw this scene.

Not to mention black eyes, there are also many people who get bumps on their heads, swollen faces, and knocked out teeth.

This kind of injury is not even a minor one. When have you ever seen Mira so concerned about it?
Damn Rod!
Go fight again!
"Hmm?" Erza, wearing the armor of the Thunder Emperor, glanced over and everyone stopped talking.

Never mind, I’ll do that next time.
