Chapter 110 Fighting
……

The Desia Colosseum, on the red sand.

Angron walked out of the dark corridor and onto the red sand, carrying the two-handed chainsaw axe called the Widowmaker.

The Primarch's gaze fell on the Custodes.

The imperial guards stood in silence around the battle area, clinging to the energy barrier that separated the audience seats from the battle area.

They had called a halt to the gladiatorial fight that was going on and drove out the gladiators and spectators.

But the auditorium was not empty.

Qin Xia sat closest to the barrier and looked at Angron.

The Primarch raised his chainsaw axe and shouted towards Qin Xia.

Qin Xia smiled and nodded.

Soon, the Emperor was also ready.

In the dark corridor opposite the Primarch, the light first illuminated everything there, and then a tall figure shining with golden light slowly walked out with a rusty axe in his hand.

The Emperor did not shout, but calmly and expressionlessly held the rusty axe, with a firm yet relaxed step, and slowly came to a place fifty meters in front of the Primarch.

"This old Deng." Qin Xia thought to himself.

The struggle between the Primarch and the Emperor.

They came into the arena like gladiators and faced each other.

This scene is probably not only the unprecedented battle of the century that the Nucerians want to see, but it is also definitely the battle that the Emperor's Primarch descendants want to watch.

But as the only person qualified to watch the fight between the Emperor of the Human Empire and His Highness the Primarch in the audience, Qin Xia's attention was not on the Emperor and the Primarch at all. Instead, he was thinking about the problem that he had been thinking about when he saw the Emperor coming in person.

That is why the Emperor came down in person, even as he did with Vulkan, Leman Russ... and most of the other Primarchs, coming in person to guide and teach, defeating the Primarch at something he was good at and then showing his gentle, fatherly side.

Angron would not have been treated this way.

Could it be that he saw that Angron had become one of the gods of Nuceria and unified the home planet, so he came down to win over Angron in person, like a snob...

Qin Xia thought this was unlikely.

The Emperor is not such a person.

"This is where my descendants spent their childhood." The emperor looked around, suddenly squatted down, and gently picked up some red sand. "Your hot blood was splashed on this."

Hearing this, Angron gazed at the Emperor from his chainsaw axe and said aloud: "I hate where we stand, and the place I love and miss is not far from here."

"I miss part of this arena, not because of the bloodthirsty spectators who only want to watch us kill each other, not because of the fights I don't want to have, but because there are people who care about me the most and who I care about the most. I struggled here with them and went through a painful but joyful and warm time."

"You've chosen the wrong place and way to have this conversation now."

The Primarch suddenly raised his Chain Axe and pointed it at the Emperor, continuing to speak as the Chain Axe roared and hummed.

"If you bring the people who care about me and I care about, go to that little cave, and set up a table of delicious food..."

"If you had chosen the place I mentioned, the way I mentioned, and talked to me, I might have a better impression of you."

When Angron pressed the button on his chainsaw axe, the roar of the saw teeth turning was so fierce that even the bravest of men would feel terrified.

But the Emperor ignored Angron's aura and simply raised the red sand in his hand.

"You were once only a slave, a gladiator, but now you are the god who saved the people of Nuceria, one of the two men who brought salvation according to legend."

A sincere and steady voice came out from the emperor's closed mouth.

"Well done, kid, you've managed to gain my approval."

Hearing this, Angron remained silent for several seconds.

After some unknown thought, Angron spoke up: "You make me feel so confused. I don't need to seek your approval at all."

"When the billions of oppressed people in Nuceria are freed and thank me from the bottom of their hearts, that is recognition." "When I establish effective rule and bring them things that the free people could not see in the first half of their lives, such as food, clothing, and utensils, they praise my name, that is recognition."

“When my brothers and sisters, my father, they see my growth and encourage and praise me, that’s recognition.”

"And you."

"A person who uses mind control to force free people to kneel before you. If you are really a slave owner, then there is too much recognition from a slave owner like you. I felt it countless times in the arena when I was a child."

Angron said as he looked around the audience, remembering when he was a child the slave owners were in the audience just to see the cries of killing.

Then he said, “Recognition and praise from slave owners is itself a form of oppression, and it is worthless.”

The Emperor said no more, his gaze piercing Angron like a sword.

The Primarch suddenly sensed a hint of emotion in the Emperor, one of doubt.

"You seem to be a little ungrateful. I came down to welcome you back in person. You have never been with me, fought alongside me, or talked to me, but you are hostile to me and call me a big slave owner. Why?"

The Emperor didn't say so himself, of course not.

But the emotions Angron felt from the Emperor spoke the most straightforward words for him.

And so Angron answered the questions posed by the Emperor's emotions.

"I didn't know what kind of person you were before you came here, of course I didn't."

"And then you suddenly came and washed the world with a torrential rain."

Angron faced the Emperor, his legs pacing sideways.

“Those people in the square, they were the first ones we rescued.”

"When they were living in fear and anxiety, fearing the return of the slave owners, I promised them that they would never have to kneel to anyone again in their lives! But when you came, you forced them to kneel before you."

"I once killed a high knight who had similar mind control abilities to yours. He could bring others to their knees, just like you."

After hearing these words, the Emperor realized that the scene when he arrived was the scene that Angron least wanted to see, which led to Angron leaving a bad impression when the two had their first conversation.

Angron had personally promised that the slave owners would eventually die without a burial place and would never be able to return. He had also personally promised that he would never let the enslaved people kneel before anyone again. But this morning, all those who had received his promises knelt before the Emperor.

"It's because of the charm aura." Qin Xia said to himself.

"The fact that they kneel before me does not prove that I am a slave owner." The Emperor raised his axe, "They also kneeled before you. Are you a new slave owner?"

The Primarch roared and rushed towards the Emperor, hacking with his chainsaw axe.

Somehow, the rusty axe seemed like some kind of magical weapon in the Emperor's hands, easily blocking the blade of the chainsaw axe.

"On the contrary, I am a liberator."

The Emperor swung his axe at the Primarch, only for the latter to block the attack and strike back, quickly dodging it.

“While your world is still playing ridiculous games, the human races in the galaxy are struggling in darkness and ignorance.”

Angron's next slash was easily blocked by the Emperor, and he was knocked back several steps by the Emperor's backhand punch.

"On the home planet of the human race, the once beautiful and sacred planet became barren, and countless people were struggling to survive under the rule of warlords until I stood up and liberated them from hell."

"Then I led my other descendants, your brothers, into a war called the Great Crusade."

"After the human race fell into the abyss, evil aliens, slave owners, tyrants...all the weird things you can think of ravaged the people who were forced to be ruled by them."

The Emperor caught Angron's fist and easily pushed the Primarch several steps away, then swung his axe, forcing the Primarch to defend himself continuously.

"My army and I eliminated tyrants one after another, exterminated alien races one after another, saved countless humans from suffering, and brought them reason and order."

"Hundreds and thousands of times more people were saved after every battle in the Great Crusade than Nuceria. Many Nucerias are being liberated as we speak!"
