Warhammer: Angron Training Manual

Chapter 126 Heart-killing

Chapter 126 Heart-killing
"Help me sense Tark."

Qin Xia used psychic power to transmit his voice to Angron.

Angron closed his eyes and took in the feeling.

Tark's soul was right in front of him, and it also extended perceptible emotions, and those emotions seemed to be pulled by something and bound somewhere beside him.

Angron looked at the void shield and realized that it was the strange void shield that bound Tark, and then whispered his discovery to Qin Xia.

Qin Xia thought about it for a while and came up with a solution.

"Tark, don't play tricks." Qin Xia leaned against the fence and stared at the Mad King who had come back from the dead. "I know that you used some means to let this device anchor your soul and make it your host in the world. Don't talk about immortality. You are just not dead yet."

"Why should I die?" Turk asked, "I tried everything. I selected the strong ones among the slaves and the untouchables, and then I led them. But I ended up like this. Why should I die?"

Tark slowly raised his hand and pointed at the void shield.

"This is what my heroic ancestor left me. It allows me to be immortal and to come to Nu from Nu, so that I can continue to take revenge on those nobles."

"That is what the first Tark, that noble king, left for me, his descendant!"

"I shouldn't die, you guys should die."

Turk then looked at Angron.

This person who has become a soul is still crazy, with a grin on his face, but also reveals pain: "You stole the fruits of victory that should have belonged to me, you deserve to die!"

Qin Xia had a calm expression and was completely unmoved by these accusations.

Angron originally wanted to suggest that Qin Xia use psychic power to destroy Tark in front of him, but then he thought that he might not do so because Tark was already strongly bound to the Void Shield, and Tark's soul could only be killed by destroying the Void Shield.

With this in mind, Angron walked towards the fence, ready to bomb the void shield if something went wrong.

Kahn and others had also dealt with similar situations. They all realized the Father of Genes' thoughts and also approached the fence.

Qin Xia signaled Angron with his eyes to leave the matter entirely to him, and then used words to attack the non-entity in front of him.

"Do you really think your ancestors were good people? The first Tark who formed the Untouchable Knights, the rebel who risked his life to find the ancient relics under the guidance of God and overthrew the cruel rule of the wizard tyrant? They are all fake."

"I know everything about your family. I am a powerful wizard. I can see what happened ten thousand years ago and ten thousand years later. So I have never been interested in what you said or advocated from the beginning."

Qin Xia smiled as if he was telling a joke.

"Your ancestor was not a rebel, but a damned ambitious man. He served the cruel wizard tyrant in Nuceria's history and was a general."

"He was a wizard's lackey, which is not a big deal, but he was the most vicious lackey. When the wizard tyrant in history fell into madness, your ancestor controlled him and then did evil in his name."

"Until one day, the wizard tyrant died while making a deal with the gods in another dimension. Your ancestor claimed that he killed the tyrant and then took his place."

Turk did not remain silent until now. He cursed, shouted, and refuted.

When Qin Xia slowly closed his mouth and waited for Turk to say something useful, Turk howled, "You are wrong! He is a rebel! A punisher! Just like me! He is my role model!"

"Hiss..." Qin Xia shook his head gently, "You don't believe me, but you believe Brown's words. Brown has never seen your ancestors. He told you that he had seen them, but in fact he hadn't. He confessed to me that those things about your ancestors were used to inspire and drive you."

"Bullshit!" Tucker roared, "If I don't believe Brown, how can I believe you?"

Qin Xia raised his hand and tapped his head: "Do you have a brain? Do you have analytical ability? Can you think for yourself instead of believing whatever others say like a two-year-old child?"

"Recall Nuceria, that damned place."

"For nearly ten thousand years, the system of this damn place, Nuceria, has not changed, not even the slightest bit."

"If your ancestor was a good person, a man who had been a slave and killed the wizard tyrant by force, he would not have foreseen what would happen if he distributed those ancient technological artifacts to his followers?" "The answer is obvious. He wanted to establish an order that was more cruel than the wizard tyrant. Then he and his followers would become slave owners on Nuceria forever. Without me or Angron, slavery in this place would continue until the heat death of the universe."

Angron sensed Tal'ak's emotions.

Those emotions were like a chain that tied Tark to a certain structure of the void shield.

But those chains are now starting to loosen.

In the eyes of others, Turk's soul knelt on the ground, sobbing violently.

"Question me, answer me." Qin Xia paced around Tark, looking down at this madman.

Turk was still sobbing.

"Say something!" Qin Xia roared.

Tark was frightened and trembled. He opened his mouth to refute, but he couldn't find any reason at all.

"Why don't you die, huh?" Qin Xia sat cross-legged in front of the soul. "You keep saying you want to kill the slave owners and protect the untouchables and slaves, and then you start slaughtering the people you say should be protected. You still think that's some kind of liberation and reward. Now I'm letting you die, letting you be liberated, why don't you die?"

Tark couldn't hear what Qin Xia said at all, and was completely immersed in doubts and contemplation about the past.

It was not until Qin Xia picked up a guard's helmet and put it on Tark's head, the communication channel was invaded and cracked, and a familiar voice came into Tark's ears, that the soul's thoughts were pulled back to reality.

"Tark, I'm sorry." Brown invaded the communication channel and his first sentence was an apology.

"Is what he said true?" Turk asked coldly.

"Nine out of ten," said Brown.

"So you are a good person now." Tark did not dwell on what was true and what was false in Qin Xia's words. "You are now on the side of the victors and have become one of the liberators of the free people of Nukeria, while I have become a stinking mad king, dying in the garbage dump of history."

"I lied to you. I'm not a good person," Brown said. "I have always done whatever it takes to achieve my goals, whether it was my desire to turn Nuceria back into that paradise, or my goal to change Nuceria after I realized that this was impossible. I have always done whatever it takes to achieve these goals."

"As an artificial life."

"What I need is not good or bad evaluation, but a program-like process of executing my goals. This is the meaning of my existence."

Brown's last words reached Turk's ears.

Tark's soul was still sitting on the ground, but it no longer had any emotions and looked more like a corpse.

"You should have come with me in Desia City. I said we could go find those gladiators and change our goal... I have watched you grow up since you were a child. I used you as a tool, but I also regarded you as a close friend... We..."

"I have been a ridiculous lunatic all along!"

Turk interrupted Brown with a roar.

"I was played with, hated, and ravaged! It has been like this from the beginning to the end! I hate that I chose to tie myself to a defense device instead of keeping the physical body!"

"The day Desia fell, I should have blown up everything I could, and sent this damn place called Nukeriya and all of you to the sky!"

"Now I know that destruction is what I want!"

"I should have destroyed you and Nukeria that day! I regret it so much... I..."

The void shield suddenly roared, as if it had detected something and activated the corresponding function. Tark's soul gradually dissipated until not even a trace of it was left.

Angron thought that Tal'ak's soul would affect the void shield, causing it to overload or something more terrible, but Tal'ak dissipated in a roar.
