Chapter 172 Two Rebels

"It seems that the slave owners on Kiavar are different from those on Nukeria."

"They...are not that powerful."

Angron gazed upon the planet Kiavar, analyzing the advantages held by the slaveholders in the battle unfolding above.

The rulers of Chiavar are "guilds", industry alliances composed of unrestrained giant corporations.

Even during the slave-owner rule, there were merchants on Nuceria, such as those who sold slaves and traded goods, but these merchants did not hold ruling power. This was the opposite of the situation on the planet Kiaval, where merchants were the rulers.

"But they are much smarter than the High Knights." Qin Xia said, "They are the elites that emerged from the family infighting and capital competition. They are smarter and more cunning than the High Knights. However, as long as they do not have the overwhelming military force of the High Knights, it is only a matter of time before your brother conquers Chiaval."

Angron nodded in agreement, rubbing his chin in thought.

The Primarch could not understand why the Emperor insisted on sending him to find Corax.

In the previous conversation on Novsendak V, the Emperor first told Angron about Corax's situation. Angron wanted to meet this rebel like himself, so he came.

However, Angron still felt that the Emperor was using him and wanted him to help, to help Corax complete his rebellion before the Emperor arrived.

But now it seemed that Corax didn't need help at all.

Angron had not just realized that Corax did not need help; he had already known this from his earlier conversation with his adoptive father, which was why he decided not to send the Legion directly to Corax's location, nor to intervene without a request for assistance.

After pondering this, Angron spoke up with the only possible answer: "Perhaps the Emperor just wants me to get to know all the brothers."

"That's probably the case." Qin Xia also thought so. "Perhaps all we have to do is to meet with Corax. After that, the Emperor will come here again and persuade Corax to join the Great Crusade just like he persuaded you to join the Great Crusade on Nuceria."

“Then the plan remains unchanged.” Angron nodded.

Legion Commander Kiel, who had left earlier, returned and saluted Angron.

This meant that everything Angron had asked him to prepare was ready.

Qin Xia immediately left the command deck and prepared to take the people he wanted with him.

Angron went directly to the transport ship prepared by Kiel.

……

Kiyawal Galaxy.

The ship jumped out at Mandeville Point.

The transport plane carrying important personnel flew to Kiaval under the escort of two Storm Hawk gunboats, but the destination was not the planet Kiaval, but a satellite called Lycaeus.

The transport plane contacted air traffic control on the satellite before landing on the surface.

There was air traffic control on the satellite. Angron couldn't understand how the rebels, who were once miners, had established an aviation management system before their great cause was accomplished, but there was air traffic control on the satellite.

Under the guidance of air traffic control, the transport plane and gunboat landed in an abandoned mine on the satellite, far away from the resistance base.

The rebel soldiers were well trained and immediately blocked the mine with anti-armor weapons, then arranged a controlled meeting with a large number of soldiers accompanying them.

Transport planes and gunboats landed.

As the cabin door slowly lowered, Angron glanced at everyone in the cabin.

Brown, Olina and the others, Quadrant…Finally, their eyes fell on Qin Xia: “Brown and the others are coming with us to see Corax?”

"Of course not, they came with me for other things." Qin Xia stood up from his seat and walked to Angron's side.

The hatch closed completely, and Qin Xia and Angron walked out of the transport plane side by side.

Twenty gladiators jumped out of the gunboat that was escorting the transport plane. They were members of the Primarch's guard and accompanied the meeting. They were of course fully armed, but they did not hold weapons in their hands.

This was not a meeting where a battle might occur. The twenty gladiators were brought by the Primarch only because they might be able to participate in the war and speed up the progress of the war after Corax asked for help.

After stepping out of the transport plane, Angron and Qin Xia stood side by side.

There were resistance soldiers all around, and a circle of anti-vehicle weapons surrounding the mine.

Because the rebels did not particularly believe that these uninvited guests came from other places and suspected that they might be agents of the guild, they did the necessary security work.

Angron did not dwell on this distrust, because in his opinion it was human nature, and only a super psychic like the Emperor would be greeted by everyone on their knees as soon as he arrived.

After taking a quick look at the surrounding defensive deployments, Angron looked forward again.

Many people gathered in front.

Leading the group was a general in standard military uniform, and beside him followed a young blonde woman.

These people just gathered together, staring straight at Angron.

If they had not seen Angron, they would not have gathered so boldly.

“They thought I was like Corax,” Angron whispered. “That gave them some trust in us.”

"Of course. After all, the only one who looks like the Primarch is another Primarch." Qin Xia's eyes were fixed on the face of the blonde woman opposite him.

Qin Xia suspected that the other party was the most important mortal to Corax, the one named "Avrenya" who was regarded as a sister by the Primarch.

As both sides looked at each other in silence, a gladiator stepped forward and introduced Angron and Qin Xia.

"Lord Nuceria, the one who cleared the clouds and brought light to the world after thousands of years of darkness on the planet Nu, the slave-killer, the leader of the City Devourer rebels, the twelfth son of the Emperor of Mankind, the Lord of the twelfth legion of the World Devourers, the guide of the Primarch..."

"Angron and Qin Xia."

The gladiator said a string of titles before giving his name.

Angron glanced at his fellow gladiator, signaling him not to give such a long name.

But the gladiators felt that this was, after all, a meeting between brothers who had never met before. In the eyes of these rebels, Corax was probably a god-like figure. If they were not allowed to know Angron's deeds and name, they would probably be looked down upon.

"Angron." Angron shouted his name, then glanced at everyone present and asked loudly, "Corax, my brother is Corax, where is he?"

Everyone in front of them immediately looked around, and finally locked their eyes on a person in the center of the team. Corax stood there, like a flagpole erected in the mud.

White skin, black hair and pure black pupils, handsome, tall and strong.

But Angron did not see him.

Even when Angron became aware of Corax's presence, he sensed the emotion coming from his brother.

Corax's emotions are curiosity, doubt, puzzlement, a hint of joy, a sense of recognition...

"Covas Corax, that's the name people give me. How do you know that?"

The Primarch named Corax slowly made his way through the crowd until he was ahead of everyone present and closer to Angron than anyone else.

"Covas..."

The blonde woman reached out and called softly, trying to alert Corax, but Corax still walked towards Angron.

The two Primarchs finally stood face to face, sizing each other up.

“You are one of my kind?” Corax asked, looking Angron up and down, and speaking in a questioning tone.

Without a translator, the two Primarchs could understand each other's words.

Without much explanation or understanding, the two Primarchs could realize that they were of the same kind.

"I'm number nineteen," Corax said.

“I am Angron,” Angron said, “and you are Corax. We are more than genetically engineered creatures born in a laboratory. We are more than Twelve and Nineteen. We are Angron and Corax.”

Corax paused for a moment, then nodded slowly.

"This is my father." Angron immediately introduced Qin Xia, the fully-armed gladiators, and my brothers.

Corax nodded to Qin Xia.

Qin Xia also nodded in response.

Corax turned back to the mortals and stood next to the blonde woman. "Everyone on this moon is my caregiver, and the one next to me is my sister, Avrenya."

Avrenya smiled and nodded.

Qin Xia thought that he had guessed right.

Angron glanced at everyone beside and behind Corax and realized that these people were not the miners he had imagined.

"They are generals, artists, philosophers, scientists, administrators, businessmen..."

Angron looked at the members of the resistance.

The rebels were formed on the satellite, so all their members were miners before, and Corax was raised by these miners.

But it would be a mistake to think that they have nothing more than their strength.

Angron sensed that everyone present had special abilities.

There are teachers who are good at explaining things, generals, and scientists.

There is only one answer that can explain the origins of these miners, that is, they were all sent to the satellite to engage in mining labor, and they must have had various life experiences and learned professional knowledge and skills before that.

This also explains why there is an air traffic control system on the satellite, because there must be people who were previously in charge of air traffic on the planet who were sent here to mine.

"You were a general, and you were assigned here because you were dissatisfied with the guild's oppression of people."

"You were a weapons engineer. You were sent here because you were dissatisfied with the weapons you invented being used to suppress workers and made dissatisfaction."

"..."

Angron points out who each person was before they became miners.

"How do you know what we used to do when you just arrived here?" the uniformed man stepped forward and asked.

"I share my brother's magical powers." Angron placed his index finger over his heart.

Everyone was not surprised when they heard this, they just nodded to show that they understood.

Corax was born knowing many languages, had a lot of knowledge about physics, chemistry and biology, and had the magical ability to disappear anywhere.

They just didn't know what magical powers Angron would have, but they all knew that Angron would definitely have magical powers.

“You are like me in this respect, possessing some forbidden power?” Corax said to Angron in ancient Latin that no one else could understand.

The language used by the Nucerias was the same language used by the Romans in Terra’s pre-ancient times, so Angron, the gladiators, and Qin Xia understood it.

"You mean... witchcraft?" Qin Xia asked.

"They call it psionics here. Psionics," Corax replied.

“Yes, I have psychic powers like you do,” Angron said. “Just like your ability to hide your presence, it is a psychic power, and I have similar psychic powers.”

Corax looked at Angron with deep eyes.

Angron continued, "We have other brothers, and not all of our other brothers possess similar psychic powers. We are also special among the Primarchs."

Corax thought.

Qin Xia knew that Corax would later realize that he and Angron were of the same kind, as they both possessed psychic powers that the Empire hated.

However, Corax would certainly hide his psychic powers and try not to show them as much as possible.

If Angron could establish a friendship with Corax at this time, when the Empire really began to discuss whether psychic powers should be banned in the future, Corax might be able to stand up and clearly support several Primarchs with strong psychic abilities, including Angron.

"Are you going to attack the planet soon?" Qin Xia asked, "If not, why don't you take us somewhere to sit down?"
