Warhammer: Angron Training Manual

Chapter 181 Emperor Analysis

Chapter 181 Emperor Analysis
On the Emperor's Dream.

In the eyes of others, the emperor never left his seat from beginning to end, said nothing, and did nothing.

The Emperor remained seated.

But in reality, the Emperor was engaging in a communication that was imperceptible to others.

"I shouldn't have lost my temper just now."

The emperor said to the hunchbacked old man in front of him.

"But the ability of No. 12...can dig out the deepest hidden things in anyone's heart."

"Number 12 shouldn't treat me like that. The Primarchs all misunderstood me, but Number 12 shouldn't have had any misunderstandings about me. He shouldn't have had that attitude."

"Malcador, can you understand how I feel now?"

The hunchbacked old man didn't move or say a word.

Gradually, the emperor stopped talking and calmed down.

Malcador then spoke: "You shouldn't show anything in front of No. 12. Even when No. 12's innate ability became stronger and was able to fully sense your inner thoughts, you shouldn't show anything. You should use your current silence and indifference to make No. 12 doubt that there is something wrong with his perception ability."

"No one can remain calm after their innermost thoughts are revealed, not even you." The Emperor raised his finger and pointed at Malcador, his lips not moving, but the words roaring like thunder in his ears.

Malcador nodded calmly. "But it's not me facing Twelve. It's you facing Twelve. It's not me who is being exposed."

The Emperor was speechless.

Both fell silent.

After a moment, the Emperor said with regret: "I don't know why I implanted my sensibility into No. 12. Sensibility. No. 12 can directly reveal his inner thoughts. No one can remain purely rational in front of him."

"I gave my emotions and human nature to number twelve. I dug a trap for myself."

"Now I have fallen into the trap. As I thought, my emotions and human nature are my shortcomings and weaknesses. It is true."

The Emperor stood up from his throne and paced back and forth, muttering to himself.

"I should have given Angron a unique quality, just as I gave Vulkan kindness. I don't know why I made the decision to give Angron all the humanity and sensibility I had."

“It’s really regrettable.”

The Emperor spoke, and Malcador listened.

The hunchbacked and shrewd-looking Imperial Chancellor sneered and agreed with what the emperor said to the utmost.

The Primarchs themselves are dangerous, and the Emperor has also passed on some of his own weaknesses to a certain Primarch, so that the walking weakness that is separated from his own will become a weapon against him.

What happened in the dream that Angron had just had was proof of that.

"There's only number twelve," Malcador said suddenly.

Malcador felt that the Emperor should have less contact with Twelve.

Even if the Emperor was scolded by a Primarch or someone close to him, he would not react...it's not like no one has ever scolded him like that.

But directly revealing the inner heart...

This unreasonable ability is simply a nemesis.

“At its core,” Malcador reasoned calmly, “you created No. 12 out of an expectation of human nature and sensibility.”

The Emperor paused and looked back at Malcador.

Malcador looked at the Emperor.

The two looked at each other for a long time, and the Emperor returned to his throne and sat down, saying, "Let's talk about training wizard number twelve."

Macado nodded.

A series of visions appeared before the Emperor and Malcador.

That was everything recorded from the "shooting perspective" of the 12th Primarch Angron.

From the time Angron was thrown into the arena, to now Angron is helping Corax achieve the goals of the uprising at a lower cost.

But this is not the detailed experience of Angron's life, but the scenes in which Qin Xia appeared, the things he did, and the words he said in Angron's life.

After capturing the fortress, Angron sensed that some of the free men who had just been rescued were determined to launch attacks and revenge on other free men, in order to create panic and let people know that it was wrong and would be punished by God to follow the gladiators in rebelling against the High Knights.

Angron sensed them, then went to find Qin Xia and expressed his thoughts.

Qin Xia was very happy when he heard that Angron was going to send those people to their deaths, and he happily praised Angron for his growth.

"He is teaching Angron to be evil," said Malcador.

The Emperor nodded in agreement.

Regarding the fact that Angron witnessed the diversity of human species in the early days of the uprising, the Emperor felt that there were many ways to deal with it. Angron could give them psychological treatment and correct their wrong ideas. However, Qin Xia directly encouraged Angron to kill those people.

This was teaching Angron to be evil.

However, this evil that turned evil did not mean that Angron was being taught to be an evil person, but rather referred to a method, a cruel method.

The Emperor saw no problem with this.

Angron's empathy does not distinguish between friend and foe. He can feel the pain of his enemies as well as their excitement and happiness. Angron needs to know how to distinguish between enemies, friends and neutral parties more than anyone else.

If no one could teach Angron how to distinguish and deal with his enemies, then he would not have the heart to deal with anyone unless he was in a life-or-death situation.

On Nuceria, this inability to be ruthless is fatal.

But the Emperor did not intend to analyze Angron's educational background. What he and Malcador analyzed was Qin Xia as a person.

This is the person who had the greatest influence on Angron.

"Based on some of the things he said to Angron."

Malcador stared at the illusion. "He is not good at being a father, nor is he good at getting along with his family, because he has not received any education from his parents, and has no experience in getting along with parents or children."

"He will categorize everyone and then choose to treat them differently."

"Divide the enemies, divide the relatives and friends, divide the neutral parties, and treat the enemies cruelly."

"I think he must have suffered some kind of shock that led him to use this method to distinguish everyone. Perhaps he used to be a people-pleaser, until he tried to please someone he later considered an enemy. Then he changed and chose to distinguish between the enemy and us first, and then choose to show the gentle or cruel side of his personality to his friends or enemies."

Listening to Malcador's analysis, the Emperor thought about it and agreed with half of it. As for the other half, he did not disagree, but he had to think carefully before coming to a conclusion.

"White Knight," Malcador said. "I had suspected he was from the future, part of a Space Marine group called the White Knights, but I dismissed that idea when he explained where the name White Knight came from."

"White Knight is a psychological concept. Qin Xia said that the think tank named it White Knight to fit Angron's characteristics, but I actually think it fits him more."

"But this 'white knight' of his is not a white knight who will save anyone. He will not save anyone he thinks deserves to die."

After listening to Malcador's analysis again, the Emperor nodded in agreement.

The illusion changes again.

Angron suffered during the period of seizing the fortress territory and continuing to expand.

Those people he killed, those enemies he killed, haunted Angron like a nightmare, a real nightmare. Even when Angron was in an area with a higher influence of the Warp, he would directly see the souls of those enemies he killed.

Angron can sense the pain of his enemies and can empathize with them, which is deadly.

But Angron judged everyone he killed using the concepts of good and evil he learned from Qin Xia.

Angron then faced the nightmares, cursing the souls of the enemies he had killed, and said that if they came to him again, he would find a way to slaughter them again. Finally, he dispelled the nightmares.

Angron deliberately concealed this experience, so neither Qin Xia nor the people whom Angron regarded as brothers and sisters knew that Angron had struggled with the negative impact of his talent.

By the time Qin Xia discovered that something was wrong with Angron, Angron had already realized that his soul needed sharpening, so he felt and absorbed the pain of everyone in the fortress territory, tempering his soul through this self-abuse method.

Then time passed to after the Battle of Mach City.

At night, Qin Xia and Angron sat on the arms of the God Titan and burned books.

Qin Xia held the iron hook and hooked the burning books from time to time to make the flame burn more evenly.

Angron sat by the fire that had been burning on the books, twisting two marshmallows between his fingers and roasting them over the flames.

Angron asked Qin Xia what book it was.

Qin Xia said, these are books from which I can smell a stench, and their existence is a blasphemy and insult to the real universe.

In fact, these books were found by Qin Xia in the noble mansion in Mach City. They all recorded some methods of drawing powerful forces into oneself through blood sacrifice.

"He can sense when Chaos has been applied to something." Malcador looked towards the Emperor. "Or rather, he can tell the difference."

The Emperor nodded again.

The existence of the Chaos Gods and Demons was something the two had never proactively told anyone about, and the Primarchs were not to know of their existence.

But Qin Xia knew that he could still distinguish what things were related to demons.

The illusion disappears.

The Emperor and Malcador stood facing each other.

"He has no soul projection," said the Emperor, "or we could know his experiences and thoughts from his perspective."

"There is no soul projection, which is why Twelve cannot sense him," Malcador said.

Almost everything in the real universe has a projection in the subspace.

If things in the warp want to influence reality, they often need to start with projection, and the soul projections of creatures with psychic talents are particularly shining, which is why demons like to possess humans.

The fact that a psychic does not have a soul projection only proves that this psychic does not exist in the real universe.

Like demons, demons only have essence in the warp and nothing like a projection, because they were born from the warp.

But the Emperor felt that Qin Xia could not be a demon, because demons often found it difficult to enter the real universe, let alone exist in the real universe for a long time and be able to freely draw psychic power in places where the influence of the subspace was not strong.

There is another way for the existence of the subspace to be able to enter and exit reality freely like Qin Xia, and that is to be similar to the Primarch.

"Perhaps, he is also a being similar to the Primarch." Malcador said seriously, "But he is more advanced. His warp essence can exist directly in the real body, so he can move freely in reality."

"Then why can he absorb and purify psychic energy? If he comes from the Warp and is made up of pure psychic energy, then his psychic level should at most be much stronger than that of ordinary psychics." The Emperor questioned.

"Perhaps a lesser god of the Warp," Malcador patched up his thoughts. "A lesser god that represents concepts such as purification, so it can purify and use psionic energy according to the concepts given to it."

After hearing this, the emperor thought about it for a moment and nodded.

Malcador said nothing more.

Both of them realized that the information they had now was insufficient, and no matter how they thought about it, it was just speculation.

“He knows the future.”

"He has unique psychic powers."

"He has a lot of issues with me."

"But he should not be our enemy for the time being. Let's observe for a while before making a decision."

The emperor pondered and gradually came to a conclusion.

Malcador had the same thought and slowly turned to look towards the porthole.

This galaxy is not far from the galaxy where Kiaval is located, and the fleet is ready to set sail.

“Will he carry out the orders he gave Angron?” Malcador asked.

"I cannot believe that he will sit idly by while billions of humans in half a sector are about to die," said the Emperor.
