Chapter 20 Fighting
"Those people being used for warm-up are rebel prisoners?"

Inside the cave, the gladiators who were watching the fighting area cried out in surprise, and then Ono, who heard this, rushed to the iron window, grabbed the iron railings with both hands and looked towards the fighting area.

He was not able to see the living bodies of those who were used for warm-up in time, he only saw fragments all over the ground.

Ono's eyes searched nervously on the red sand on the ground of the battle area. He found a living person buried under the debris, and the tense and solemn expression on his face relaxed a little.

The survivor crawled out, and only then did Ono and the other gladiators realize that he had lost his lower body and legs.

The survivors squirmed on the ground.

In the eyes of the gladiators, a long red object was dragged under the survivor's waist.

After seeing that there was still a living person, one of the slave knights brought by the golden-armored knights took action.

The slave knight galloped towards the survivors, lance raised in his hand.

"Damn it..." The survivor let out a wail and stopped trying to find a weapon. Instead, he turned around with difficulty and looked at the audience.

He took a deep breath.

The breath transformed in his angry chest, eventually becoming a roar that rushed out along his neck.

"I'll fuck all the High Knights' families!"

The next second, the survivors became corpses hanging on the lances of the slave knights.

The slave knight's modified arms easily lifted the lance with the corpse hanging on it and ran across the red sand.

The body hanging from the lance was like a flag, a warning.

The gladiators witnessed this moment with their own eyes. Some were outraged, some were indifferent, and some even thought this warm-up was pretty cool.

The warm-up session is over, and now it's the gladiators' turn to take the stage.

The lights in the cave began to flicker.

The floodgates open.

The neatly lined-up security robots holding electric batons waited for the gate to be fully opened.

The gladiators turned and walked outside.

"I think they will kill all of us." Angron caught up with Ono and looked at Ono's gloomy face and said, "What weapons will the arena give us?"

"We won't be killed all." Ono responded through gritted teeth, "They will leave some of those who perform well, and then the killing will stop."

Angron nodded slightly.

"The killing will not stop." Qin Xia said meaningfully.

The gladiators walked out of the cave and were supervised and beaten by security robots. They were driven like sheep to a room in the corridor, which was the armory.

To Angron's great disappointment, there was nothing interesting in the armory, only cold weapons.

The gladiators were used to it, they walked over and grabbed the ones they were good at and liked.

There was one weapon that was very popular among the gladiators here - the trident.

Eventually, all the good weapons were snatched away, not even a shield was left. Angron hesitantly picked out a weapon that he thought was fairly useful - a two-handed axe.

Qin Xia picked up his weapon after Angron, and he just picked up a sword.

The sword looked like a dagger in his hand.

After walking out of the armory with Qin Xia, Angron kept looking at Qin Xia.

The Primarch saw a quality in this person - humility.

But he didn't know that Qin Xia was not that humble at all. He just felt that he couldn't use proper weapons.

Along with other gladiators, Qin Xia was escorted by the security robot to the gate leading to the battle area. The gate slowly rose.

Red sand and flying dust appeared in the field of vision along with the light.

"Finally! Finally! The highlight is about to begin!"

"Let's welcome the gladiators with warm applause!"

“And the promising newcomer who is attracting much attention and has received a lot of bets. An’an’an’an—Angron!”

"..."

The Maggot Eye flew above the battle area, and the host's voice was heard.

Qin Xia stood in the team of gladiators and spoke to them.

"Wait a minute until the Maggot Eyes' announcement, which sounds like it's peeing on a switch, ends... We all need to gather together."

"I know that those rebel prisoners were killed instantly because they gathered together, but if we disperse, we will be hunted down one by one like prey by them on horseback."

After saying that, Qin Xia began to make a more detailed judgment about the enemy he would face next.

After hearing what Qin Xia said, a female gladiator turned around and asked, "Why should we listen to you? Just because you are so big, you bastard?"

Qin Xia looked in the direction of the voice and discovered that the female gladiator who refuted him was the one who had been planning to go out with him to collect information, but failed to go because Caesar's head exploded.

"What's your name, ma'am?" Qin Xia asked politely.

"Crest." The female gladiator replied.

"Okay, bitch." Qin Xia looked at Crest and said, "If we can both survive the fight, you must kneel down in front of me to thank me and apologize for your rudeness at this time."

Hearing this, Crest rolled his eyes at Qin Xia and raised his middle finger.

The gladiators walked out of the gate and entered the battle area under the escort of security robots.

There is red sand under my feet and darkness above my head.

In front of them are the opponents that they will face in the next fight.

Qin Xia had not participated in any gladiatorial fights yet, and the gladiators did not think they should listen to him, but Qin Xia's words served as a reminder to them not to make bad choices out of fear.

They chose to disperse because they were afraid of the lessons learned from the previous rebel prisoners. This prevented them from being killed in one blow by the golden-armored knights riding scorpions, but the result of dispersing was that they would be caught up and killed one by one.

Now that Angron was present, they could gather together and work together to die in a more decent manner. At least it wouldn't look like hunting.

The gladiators gathered together and formed a square.

Most of these people had experience, so they knew what to do when facing cavalry, and could influence others to do the same through their actions.

After taking some time to form a square formation, the gladiators holding shields raised their shields to form a shield formation.

"Use my shield." Ono looked at Angron, who was standing in the first row beside him, and handed him the shield.

“This thing doesn’t look as hard as my body hair.” Angron smiled bitterly and shook his head, then picked up the two-handed axe in one hand and prepared for battle.

At this moment, Qin Xia frowned slightly, retreated to the end of the team, and protected everyone in front of him.

He had his reasons for having to do this.

You have to leave space, and if things go wrong, make sure you don't engage the charging enemy in the first place.

"That's it?"

Crest, who was in the front row, held up a shield in one hand and raised his middle finger towards Qin Xia with the other.

"Your courage is inversely proportional to your physique."
