Warhammer: Angron Training Manual
Chapter 331 Common Ground
Chapter 331 Common Ground
Angron gradually calmed down, and with his back to Curze, only a low question came out from his back: "Do you know why I helped you, brother? You held my adoptive father hostage, and I still helped you... Although I know you didn't want to hurt him at the time, your behavior was enough for me to kick you out."
Koz shook his head.
Angron did not answer immediately, but looked at the boy in front of him.
The boy was just like in Angron’s memory, returning to normal after the negative emotions were absorbed, instead of going crazy over gains and losses.
"When I experienced the heart, the emotions of this child... to experience the heart and emotions of a weak being... when I forgot I was a Primarch and gave myself over to his feelings, I longed for someone to avenge me," Angron said. "If I were this child, you would be the one I longed for."
Koz nodded silently, recalling something, and looked at the boy and asked, "What happened here later?"
Angron stood up and returned to Koze's side, controlling the entire space with special gestures.
Then the virtual world began to flow naturally.
Angron and Curze watched from the sidelines as the other Angron rose from in front of the boy.
Angron felt only calm after digesting his emotions.
Grim calm.
Angron watched himself turn his back to the boy, then kneel down and motion for the boy to climb onto his back—just as he remembered.
The boy let go of his sister's body and calmly climbed onto Angron's shoulders, but his arms were not long enough to hold the primarch's massive back and he slid down.
Angron silently lifted the boy up and placed him on his neck, letting the boy ride on his neck.
In the eyes of mortals, demigods are terrifying.
But because the boy and Angron had just gone through pain together, the two had gone through a series of steps to build trust and friendship, becoming something closer than close friends.
Angron held the body of the boy's sister in one hand and used the other to dig a hole and bury the body.
When he had done this, Angron scanned the bodies in the room, then in silence unfastened the two chain axes—which he called widowmakers—that hung from his waists.
Curze saw Angron rush out of the room, out of the burning village, and run across the wilderness.
After running for an unknown amount of time, Angron finally arrived at a military camp.
The boy already knew what Angron would do, so he silently held Angron's head and sat firmly on the demigod's neck.
Angron walked towards the guards of the camp.
"Who are you?!"
Koz saw those mortals asking his brother this in the memory replay before his eyes.
“Avenger,” Angron told the crowd before him.
Then a killing began.
Angron roared angrily, sweeping towards the people in front of him like a storm. The double axes in his hands made a buzzing sound, and along with the buzzing sound, blood and limbs splattered into the sky.
The guards were killed almost instantly.
Then the Guards rushed out.
The guardsmen shouted and rushed toward Angron, but this was not an act of heroic battle, but rather a desperate resistance.
Angron roared and killed.
"I am Angron the City Devourer!"
"My adoptive father, my brothers and sisters...we swallowed up the fortress territory of the Murray family! Yes! I was the one who did this!"
"We exterminated an entire family of High Knights! It was us! The City Devourers!"
"Cowards!"
An officer's head was chopped off and flew up. Angron's strong legs kicked the headless corpse into pieces. The officer's chest was wrapped around Angron's legs and was thrown to pieces in Angron's stormy movement.
The boy held the primarch's head, his body hidden behind it, without any fear, only a look of hatred towards these people.
"Cowards like you don't even dare to resist the City Devourers! If there were no High Knights by their side, they would run away like wild dogs with their tails between their legs! Or kneel down and beg for mercy!"
"But in front of the common people, you cowards become tough guys! You all gasp when you mention the City Eater!"
The Primarch's roar was heard throughout the camp.
The guards wanted to shoot Angron with guns, but they couldn't even get away from him before Angron caught up and killed them all.
Some people fired cold shots from a distance, which attracted Angron's attention. They were targeted, approached, and killed.
The guards in the entire camp fell one after another in the massacre, sometimes in groups.
Some tried to flee, but were struck in the head by rocks kicked up by Angron.
Finally, Angron seemed to have triggered some kind of emotional fluctuation, and the guards completely collapsed, kneeling on the ground in fear, waiting to die.
Soon a woman flying in the sky fell from the sky and joined the killing.
Until everyone was killed.
Curze saw Angron pause as he gasped and looked toward the woman.
"Angron." The woman walked up to Angron and touched his chest with concern. She heaved a sigh of relief when she saw the flesh and blood on it was rotten flesh that had flown from someone unknown. "We should attack the Antema area."
"No, Crest." Angron panted, "Our goal is not the Antema region itself, but we want to kill those guards and high knights, kill them all, and let them atone for the people of this region with their lives!" Crest nodded.
She agreed with Angron.
All slaves and civilians in the Antema area were executed.
The reason for the execution was simply that the High Knight family decided to shrink their defenses, and at the same time, they ordered the family members to use ancient relics and lead the guards to kill all the civilians who originally belonged to the family's property.
Cleaning up at the same time.
The High Knights do not rely on the obedience or support of the common people, and even the existence of the Guards is better than nothing.
After completing a killing spree, Angron calmed down.
Koz felt that his brother's talents and abilities were indeed special.
This is an ability that mortals possess, which allows them to put themselves in the shoes of their peers and then unite against the common enemy.
Angron's ability allows him to regard other people's hatred as his own.
Angron, standing next to Curze, paused everything with a gesture.
"Later, as you saw, I killed all the guards who went to massacre the village." Angron said calmly.
Koz nodded.
“In a way, we have a lot in common,” Angron continued. “That’s another reason why I chose to help you.”
Koz nodded again.
He began to wonder what would happen if he landed on Nuceria.
That is to assassinate the High Knights until all the High Knights are killed and change occurs.
However, Curze felt that Angron was now a hero of the Nuceria people, and even the good people on Nostramo would criticize him.
Curze felt that it was the prophecy that made him gloomy, and the entire environment of Nostramo was also different from that of Nuceria... At least Angron had like-minded people.
Angron took Coze to see these things not to make Coze realize anything, but to make Coze know what he had done.
And proof that the two do have something in common.
"What kind of person did the boy who later rode on your neck become?" Koz suddenly asked.
Angron raised his hand.
The virtual world generated according to memory begins to change.
It became a ritual of the World Eaters.
The recruits were awarded armor, just like when Qin Xia put on the armor in a ceremony after receiving the armor made by the primarchs, a grand and formal ceremony.
During this ceremony, Angron personally crowned one hundred people with symbols of honor.
“He became him.” Angron paused everything and pointed at the man in the middle of the hundred recruits. “The champion of the first round.”
Curze suddenly recalled something Fulgrim had said about Nuceria.
Fulgrim was very interested in Nuceria and took some books from the XII Legion when he parted ways with them.
So he also knew how the 12th Legion selected new recruits.
Nuceria hosts a giant global gladiatorial contest.
Each region first held internal competitions, and the winners were sent to the Desia Arena, where Angron had fought, to participate in the final gladiatorial contest.
Then the winning championship team as well as the third and second place teams can become recruits.
Curze believed that the gladiatorial contests involved in this selection process were a compromise between Angron and the Nuceria.
The Nucerias did not initially believe that the Devourers could liberate them, until they did, and only then did they truly begin to resist.
Angron helped them resist.
After the rebellion, the Nucerias did not want to give up the gladiatorial games because they loved this kind of activity, so Angron turned the gladiatorial games into a sport, making the gladiators athletes and sports stars, and performing under protection.
Such were the gladiatorial games of Nuceria.
The same is true for the global auditions, but the participants are not gladiatorial stars, but civilians selected from various regions.
"Select the people on the planet who are best at teamwork and trust each other with their lives, and these people are also the best fighters on the planet..." Coze said, "You are really good at management."
"This is only the case in Nuceria," Angron said. "In other parts of Greater Nuceria, the only selection method copied is the written examination for selecting civil officials. The rest are selected by the selection plan formulated by the civil officials' descendants I sent out according to the local characteristics to select combatants."
After hearing this, Curze did not continue to think about the selection of Space Marines. He was not very interested in this.
Angron adjusted the entire virtual world again and returned to certain places in his memory.
Feel the pain that some people have felt before, and continue to hone your ability to absorb and digest negative emotions.
Koz was watching the whole time.
Until Angron completes his training for the day.
