Warhammer: Angron Training Manual

Chapter 424: Acquaintances in the Imperial Guards

Chapter 424: Acquaintances in the Imperial Guards
"My Lord, the Primarch."

"We are now near the ninth planet in the solar system and are expected to reach Terra within a day."

The captain stepped forward and reported respectfully.

Angron glanced out the porthole at Pluto.

"No, Pluto is not a planet." Qin Xia shook his head, "It was kicked out of the category of planets many years ago."

The captain seemed a little surprised. Firstly, he didn't understand why Pluto was not a planet, and secondly, he wondered why the Lord of the White Knight knew so much about it.

Qin Xia looked at Angron and said, "I've said before that if you trace my origins, I'm from Terra."

"The Terrans of long, long ago." Angron nodded. "And you also said that Terra has changed a lot, and everything you are familiar with on it has disappeared with the wind like the name Earth."

Qin Xia's eyes fell back on Terra and he nodded silently.

Before actually starting to sail towards Terra, Qin Xia didn't think he would have any reaction, because Terra had been turned upside down and the Earth he was familiar with no longer existed.

Regardless, Terra is still Earth, just a different place, but it is still considered the cradle of the human species, and indeed it is.

So even though I know very well that Terra has become unrecognizable to me, I still have complicated feelings.

It cannot be explained clearly, nor can it be understood.

Qin Xia stood in front of the porthole and looked at Terra, waiting for the think tank fleet to slowly approach the cradle world of the human species.

For some reason, the fleet was moving much faster than the captain expected.

The fleet was intercepted by the Mechanicus' ships near Mars, and Qin Xia looked towards Mars.

Mars, the holy land of the Mechanicus, has a surface covered with stripes of man-made structures, and the celestial body is surrounded by a ring.

That ring is where the ships are built on Mars.

Mars is omnipotent in production. Even if all the existing warships and military equipment of the human empire are destroyed one day, and the empire's territory is left with only the solar system, as long as Mars is given time, it can still produce everything that is enough for the empire's allies to regain their territory.

All ships except the White Knight and the battleship Cyjanus was on were directed to the Mars ring to accept the generosity of the Mechanicus - material supplies and free overhauls.

There were two Retaliation-class cruisers in the fleet that originally belonged to the Dark Angels. They needed repairs due to damage, but the people on board never expected that the two warships could be repaired in the headquarters of the Mechanicus, which was considered a good thing.

"Primarch."

The communication panel lit up again, and the face of a Mechanicus sage appeared on it.

It starts with a greeting and then talks about things.

"The Casting General hopes his apprentice will stop by to see him."

After hearing this, Angron signaled the communications personnel to cut off the communication, and before the communication ended, he said: "Wait for me to ask the Quadrant for their opinion."

The communications personnel connected to the laboratory inside the White Knight, and the quadrant that was busy transforming the new think tank members appeared on the panel.

“Do you want to go to Mars?” Angron asked.

Quadrant did not answer immediately.

Qin Xia on the side said: "When I have time, I will go to Mars with you."

"Okay." Quadrant's head shook up and down.

After the communication was cut off, Angron said, "The Quadrant has given up hope on Kelber. I guess he wants to go to Mars to see his old friend, but Kelber is the Forge General after all. If we detain him on Mars..."

"So I will go with Quadrant then." Qin Xia looked at Mars and said, "I also want to meet some people..."

Qin Xia thought about what he would do during his trip to the solar system.

Not just accusing Magnus, but also meeting some people and going to some places...

During this period, Belisarius Cawl, who would later develop the Primaris Space Marine technology, would still be an apprentice on Mars, unknown.

It is not easy to find such a person, but Quadrant once said that Kaul was his friend.

Even if I can't get the Primaris Space Marine technology now, it will always be beneficial to get to know Cawl.

In addition, Qin Xia still remembered that he had really seen Cawl in the future. That was when he was captured by the Grey Knights and sent to Saturn, he happened to meet Cawl. Cawl came to the Grey Knights ship to convey Regent Guilliman's order, asking the Grey Knights to participate in the parade on Terra.

At that time, Col was much taller than his original body, and there was not a ounce of flesh and blood left on his body. That huge modified body could have fought even against the knight mecha... Now his modification should not be so outrageous.

"The transport plane is ready." The captain came to report again, interrupting Qin Xia's thoughts.

Qin Xia and Angron looked at each other, teleported out of the command deck, and teleported Sejanus, Avida and their entourage on another warship into the transport plane.

The transport plane detached from the White Knight and sailed towards Terra below.

……

Terra.

Cradle of mankind.

In Qin Xia's memory, the Earth is a planet that looks more beautiful than Caliban - of course this is the result of the memory filter, to be honest, it is not as beautiful as Caliban.

But the Earth is no longer what it once was.

Instead, the whole thing is khaki in color and covered with numerous dark scars.

Nuceria's red earth-ball-like appearance could already make visitors wonder if the center of the Greater Nuceria Sector could be such a planet, and Terra's appearance could make Angron, who grew up in Nuceria, feel...

"Speaking of which, our Nukeria is quite beautiful...everything is afraid of comparison."

Angron looked at the khaki-colored Terra covered with scars and could not help but feel emotional.

Qin Xia pursed her lips and agreed.

Kova, the ace pilot of the White Knight Think Tank, flew the transport plane into the atmosphere in the most comfortable and fast way possible.

The environment on the surface of Terra appeared before everyone's eyes.

According to Qin Xia, there are two theories about the living environment of the Terra people.

One: Extremely bad.

Even though Terra is the home planet of the human empire, the people there cannot be called "Terra Lords", and they live a miserable life. For example, the transportation hub on Terra, such an absolutely important place, is full of garbage dumps, and sometimes the Imperial Guards even have to go out to clean up the thugs to ensure the normal operation of the transportation hub.

Two: Actually, life is pretty good.

In records related to the Unification War, a narrator who was born on Terra once recalled that he lived a life worse than pigs and dogs before the end of the Unification War, but when the Emperor eliminated the warlords on Terra and unified Terra, civilization and prosperity finally returned to the cradle of the human race.

They have enough food to eat and warm clothes to wear, and the environment is not as cruel and harsh as it was during the warlord period.

When Qin Xia arrived at Terra today and looked down from within the atmosphere, he found that both statements made sense.

In the harsh desert with few people, some mutants were searching for food among the mountains of garbage.

In the cities built by humans, you can even see some green plants. The civilians of Terra live a paradise-like life under the protection of high walls.

"Those mutants haven't been cleaned up?" Avida said as he looked at the mutants wandering in the Terra desert.

"Imperial management." Qin Xia looked at Avida.

Avida was silent.

Qin Xia was not surprised at all that there were still mutants on Terra that had not been completely eliminated.

Because in ten thousand years, there will even be creatures like Genestealers on Holy Terra.

In silence, the transport plane slowly descended to the surface.

On the tarmac, a team of guards stood solemnly among the people coming and going, watching quietly as the hatch of the special plane of the twelfth Primarch of the Human Empire opened.

First, an imperial bureaucrat came forward with his entourage, and glanced coldly at Sejanus and Avida. After seeing Qin Xia, he suddenly changed his attitude and saluted the superhumans in front of him.

"On behalf of the Imperial Parliament, I welcome you all."

Cyjanus immediately saluted the mortal.

Angron sensed that the Imperial bureaucrat wanted to talk to his adoptive father, but the guy suddenly glanced at the Custodians and thought, "Let's talk about it later."

The Imperial bureaucrat motioned for Cyjanus and Avida to come with him.

After they left, the imperial guards slowly moved forward.

"In compliance with the Emperor's order." The leading guard spoke coldly, his tone revealing disrespect. "Seyjanus will live near the Imperial Senate Hall, and you will go to the Imperial Palace to wait for the Emperor to summon you."

Hearing this, Qin Xia glanced at the Himalayas in the distance.

The Royal Palace, this giant building is perched on the Himalayas. Its highest part is looming in the clouds, appearing grand, majestic and mysterious.

“You are the so-called perfect superhuman warriors?” Angron said to the leader. “I really don’t see it.”

The Primarch felt that the guards before him were a little bit stupid. It would have been a good thing to let the incoming Primarch live in the palace, but listening to the tone of the guards, it sounded like he was being escorted.

In his heart, the Custodian felt disdain for both the Primarch and the Astartes, but no matter what he thought, he should not show it now that he was meeting the Primarch.

The Imperial Guards are known as the Emperor's perfect masterpiece, they are diplomats, administrators, and artists.

Even the bio-modification technology used for them was perfect, not relying on gene-seed, and both men and women could become Custodes.

But in fact...as far as Qin Xia knows, there are more than one or two stupid people in the Imperial Guards, whether they are 30k or 40k.

For example, ten thousand years later, there was a tribune of the Guards named Koken, who treated mortals as parasites. It would have been fine if he just thought so in his heart, but he also said it directly in front of Guilliman.

Then Guilliman reprimanded Keken: "You Custodes think your duty is to protect the Emperor, but you forget what the Emperor himself is protecting. Be more tolerant!"

The guards in front of him were dissatisfied after hearing Angron's words, but they did not argue. They silently made a gesture of invitation, indicating that the Primarch and his adoptive father should follow him.

Angron quickened his pace and pushed aside the guards, walking in front of them with his adoptive father.

The group walked for a distance and then boarded the Imperial Guards' transport plane and flew into the palace.

The transport plane landed again.

Qin Xia and Angron walked out of the cabin.

"I wonder what secrets this place has." Angron looked around. "I think they might just want to separate us from the others... After all, the palace is not our place."

This was said psychically.

Qin Xia also responded with psychic power: "Who cares."

"It's a pity that we don't know anyone in the Custodes, otherwise we could ask around," Angron said.

Qin Xia didn't say anything else.

The imperial guards who brought them into the palace lined up near the helipad. Just as they were about to take the guests deeper into the palace, three imperial guards came from the front of the helipad.

Among these three imperial guards, the one walking in the middle was particularly tall.

The tall imperial guard arrived and waved his hand, and the other imperial guards saluted and left.

"Primarch, Lord of the White Knights, we have met before. I wonder if you still remember me."

A deep and dull sound came from the tall imperial guard's helmet that looked like corn.

This sound is different from Astarte's iconic "electric microphone" sound, but the timbre is also indistinguishable.

"Who are you?" Qin Xia asked.

The tall imperial guard took off his helmet, revealing a head of golden hair and a face that Qin Xia suddenly remembered. He stretched out his hand with a smile on his face: "You were the one who rescued me from the colony ship before."

"You...you are the golden human?!" Angron was very surprised and shook the hand extended by the imperial guard.

Then Qin Xia shook hands with the imperial guards again.

Neither the father nor the son had expected that this female archaeologist from the Golden Age would become a member of the Imperial Guard after following the Emperor out of Nuceria.

The female golden human was transformed into the Imperial Guard, making her even stronger. Even Angron, who had a lot of opinions about the Emperor, had to praise the Emperor for his strategy.

“What was your name…” Angron recalled.

"It doesn't matter what my name was before. After the transformation surgery, my name is Jillia." The guard smiled and said, "When the Emperor convinced me, I decided to join his cause and fight for the survival and prosperity of the human race."
