Chapter 462 The Beast Who Gambles Everything

Chapter 462 The Beast Who Gambles Everything

Inside the fortress.

The commandos guarded a hall-like area.

Wave after wave of attacks from the Ullanor greenskins were broken up, and the warriors guarding the entrances and exits of the hall finally heard a roar echoing throughout the fortress. After seeing the huge figure rushing from the main passage, they realized that the defender of the fortress had been attracted.

One of the warlords on Krako rushed into the hall with a large number of servants. In front of it, all the commandos were just cannon fodder.

However, the Blood Axe Clan's commandos had no intention of taking care of the behemoth by their own strength, as they had an orc leader who was also at the warlord level.

When the giant beasts loyal to the Beast King Ullanor rushed into the hall and all the Blood Axe beasts avoided their sharp edges, Gusa finally appeared.

The Lord of Blood Axe hooked his finger at the giant beast.

The behemoth charged forward, roaring and waving its mechanical arms exactly like the ones that the Gorong warlord had used.

But in the end it was enough to shatter a Leman Russ tank, and the arm was gently caught.

The behemoth raised its head and looked up at the Lord of Blood Axe.

The neck was strangled the next moment, and then the head and spine were torn out of the body and thrown aside.

Without the warlord's command, the beasts in the fortress fell into chaos.

The commandos stopped wasting ammunition chasing the defeated beasts and began to rest.

Gusa sat on the warlord's body, his chin supported by his arm, thinking about what to do next.

In the brief peace after the intense battle, Qin Xia appeared in the hall with all the beasts.

When the commandos saw a group of shrimps, they immediately raised their guns, but when they saw the green-skinned butcher, they recalled their previous experience of fighting side by side on the planet Goron, so they immediately put down their weapons and continued to rest.

Gusa stopped thinking and looked up at the uninvited guest.

"Why did you come so late?" asked the Lord of Blood Axe in a deep voice.

Qin Xia did not answer, but looked at Gusa silently.

Gusa looks different now than before.

He is nearly nine meters tall and extremely strong, but he is not like the stupid green-skinned orcs with hunched shoulders and hunched neck. Instead, he is strong with smooth lines like the original body.

The scarlet armor worn by Gusa no longer has the joking style of the greenskins' equipment, but is quite exquisite from the perspective of the greenskins' aesthetics.

Rough and crude, but never shoddy.

With surprise, Qin Xia looked at the other greenskins again.

The commando commanders looked as tall as the green warlords, and they didn't have hunched necks.

The commandos are even taller, over three meters tall.

There are even heavily armored combat units similar to the Space Marine Terminators.

When Hissing Fart gently pushed away these big guys and walked out of the herd, Qin Xia discovered that this fart spirit had also changed.

No longer as short as a mouse, his body became slender, and the mechanical body previously used for resurrection after death disappeared, replaced by a more sophisticated and slender set of armor.

"I didn't see you in my psychic vision." Qin Xia said.

"The Psionic Warlords would use WAAAGH vision to spy on us, so I built anti-observers for my big buddies." replied Sizzlefart.

"Are there other Blood Axe members here besides you?" Qin Xia asked again.

"No more, they are all here." Gusa glanced at the one hundred beasts present, "What you see are the current members of the Blood Axe Clan."

Qin Xia frowned.

The way Hisspit and Gusa speak has become exceptionally fluent and natural, without any idiomatic accents, and they even speak High Gothic.

"After the Battle of Goron, I led my clan on the journey home and headed for Krako. I thought the Ullanor Empire would focus its war on humans, but it didn't."

"We attacked one star system after another, and everything I had accumulated was consumed in batches."

"Then in the Krako system, I lost everything that could navigate the void, and after forcibly landing, I lost everything except the beasts present."

Gusa slowly stood up and paced in the hall, his tone pretending to be relaxed, yet revealing a hint of heaviness.

“So, I have nowhere to retreat.”

Commando fighters, the surviving commander.

They all took off their helmets and held them in their hands, bowed their heads and mourned for their sacrificed brothers Kan Gan and all clan members.

"My clan is made up of exiled beasts. We left the Ullanor Empire and our homeland, Krako, and then tried to open up a place for survival in your human star region."

Gusa continued.

"We have come this far from the war you humans call the Onus Annihilation War."

"I started as a kid that just grew out of the ground, an ant that was kicked by the boss and rolled several times when it just crawled out of the spores, and gradually grew into what I am today, but everything I gained except myself has disappeared."

Hearing this, Qin Xia was quite sad.

Perhaps because he had fought alongside these greenskins, and because of the various connections that his identity as a greenskin butcher had with them... Qin Xia still cared about these beasts quite a bit.

But there's nothing we can do, they are beasts.

The Ullanor Empire can become a huge threat to the Human Empire. If these Blood Axe Beasts grow to the size of the Ullanor Empire, I am afraid they will be able to take down both the Ullanor Empire and the Human Empire.

"I am a human being." Qin Xia said, "Don't tell me this."

Gusa shrugged.

"How many battles have you experienced to grow up like this?" Qin Xia looked at Gusa again.

"Countless." Gusa replied, "I have fought every battle myself, until now..."

Qin Xia realized that Gusa's plan to return home was like hitting a wall from the very beginning, either he would die or break through.

Only countless battles with a huge disparity in strength could have shaped a greenskin of Gusa's size. Gusa realized that some things of his ancestors could not allow him to regress to his ancestors by just thinking about them without fighting.

However, if it were an ordinary greenskin, even if it experienced countless battles and survived, it would probably grow into a very tall and mad beast, and would not be as calm as Gusa.

Fundamentally speaking, Gusa was different from ordinary beasts from the very beginning.

While the other greenskins were fighting on the super-big WAAAGH star, Gusa knew how to lie and used lies to shape himself.

"Super Little WAAAGH Star, which is the super battlefield you have chosen, the Krako hometown of your Blood Axe Beasts..."

"What is underneath this planet?"

Qin Xia glanced at the surroundings.

Not only is the architectural style of the entire fortress different from that of the greenskins, the interior decoration is also different. The entire hall is built with a metal whose atomic structure Qin Xia cannot identify.

Even the patterns on the walls that are only for decoration cannot be distinguished by human senses.

That is a higher dimension, a higher level of decoration.

"The temple of our tribe's creator." Gusa walked up to Qin Xia and stroked the lines, "There is the creator's artifact in here."

Gusa followed the lines to the left and came to a wall at the end of the hall.

The beast knelt down.

"I saw it."

"It is calling me from beneath this planet. The God of Creation of our Ork race, the true God, the artifact it left behind in this galaxy is calling me to find it."

All the Bloodaxe Greenskins knelt down with Gusa.

Only then did Qin Xia realize that the Blood Axe Clan had given birth to a religion.

The ones being worshipped are the creators of the greenskin race - the Old Ones.

As for the two great gods, Goge and Maoge, Gusa had previously said that they were gods created by the greenskins and were not the creator at all.

Who cares about Brother Mao?

"So as long as we enter the bottom of this so-called temple, we can find the artifact. Is that what you mean?" Qin Xia asked.

"No, there are twelve temples in Krako. This is just one of them. I must lead them to open the remaining three." Gusa glanced at the surviving Blood Axe members, "Fortunately, they are the best."

Qin Xia raised his right eyebrow and looked at the think tanks with suspicion.

The think tanks all knew about the ancient saints, but they could not judge whether what Gusa said was true or false.

If you want to know more, you can only ask the magical watcher in this so-called ancient holy temple.

The portal opens again.

Kang walked out of the snowstorm.

The watcher was quite shocked when he saw Gusa.

"Has it reached the level of an ancient orc?" Qin Xia asked the robed man using his psychic power.

"Not really. It's still a long way off, but... not indefinitely." Kang observed Gusa and answered.

Gusa stopped kneeling and worshipping, but walked forward and placed his hands on the wall in front of him.

Strange patterns lit up and the entire hall roared.

"This is a miracle!" Gusa shouted excitedly.

"That's not a miracle at all."

Kang looked around.

"The entire Krako No. 1 is the warehouse of the ancient saints. This place is not a temple at all, but a place similar to a warehouse with a password lock."

"I don't know what's going on in Krako, but I've seen similar ruins before."

"A warehouse the size of a planet floats alone in the void. After tens of millions of years, gravity pulls matter from the warehouse and gradually forms a planet, and even produces a natural ecosystem."

"..."

Gusa couldn't hear anything Kang said. It just thought that the warehouse in front of it was the temple.

In some ways, this is similar to humans.

Ten thousand years later, humans will regard the ancient relics of their ancestors as temples, and then worship ancient creations as sacred artifacts.

The only thing Qin Xia was curious about was why Gusa knew of the existence of this place.

But on second thought, the greenskins can even pass on technology through genes, so it is not surprising that these atavistic orcs have inherited fragmented memories.

"What do you think is in this place?" Qin Xia then asked the watcher.

Kang made a comprehensive judgment based on what he knew about the deeds of the ancient saints, and then took into account the future he observed, which was that in the future Armageddon would always give birth to or attract powerful green-skinned people.

Finally, Kang speculated: "Maybe there is a military camp here."

"Barracks?"

"Probably, but it's not a building or anything like that, it's a tool. During the War in Heaven, the Old Ones deployed biological warfare weapons like greenskins using special means. That is, they used psychic power to throw a tool that was probably only the size of a palm into the hostile galaxy, and the greenskins would grow out of the galaxy."

Kang looked at Gusa.

"Ancient greenskins will crawl out from all sorts of places, even from a place in the void where there is nothing..."

"After they are born, they will grow quickly and invent things. In a few days, they will form an army, build a fleet, and fight for the Ancient Saints."

"I'm not sure if that kind of equipment is stored in this warehouse in Krako, but I think it's highly likely."

"Otherwise, why is this place so attractive to greenskins, and why are there always special orc individuals..."

After listening to what Kang Yong spiritually said.

Qin Xia pondered for a moment and asked again: "Can this warehouse be blown up? Can I use the psychic bomb I got from the First Legion to blow it up?"

"It's highly unlikely." Kang shook his head. "The ancient saints have a common self-destruction mechanism. When one of their creations is attacked, everything that has appeared within the thirty-light-year reality scale of the creation within the five hundred years before and after will be annihilated, taking the moment when the creation is attacked as the anchor point."

Kang paused, then said, "If there is really no other way, we can take a gamble. The ancient saints often try to prevent their creations from having negative effects in non-war situations. You know, they have extremely high moral standards."

"..." Qin Xia was silent for a moment, looked around the hall, and then spoke again, "Leaving the equipment used to spread the ancient orcs here and not recycling it, trying to destroy it may also kill all creatures within the range of 500 years. Their moral level is indeed very high, but their level of post-processing is really not commendable."

"When the ancient orc biological weapons race joined the war, the Old Saints were almost extinct. It was lucky that they could build a warehouse to store those things!" Kang immediately defended the creator of the Watcher. "If it were a garbage race like the Necrons, they would probably hope that the weapons they made could still wipe out a bunch of young races tens of millions of years later!"

Qin Xia thought about it and realized that this was the case.

The Watcher's dissatisfaction gradually subsided, and he began to think about how to deal with the problem, and finally he came up with a solution.

"Find the instrument and throw it into the space you created for Sarum, and this will solve the problem once and for all."

“But you can’t unlock the warehouse.”

Hearing this, Qin Xia looked at Gusa.

Gusa, who has already activated this decryption facility, is preparing to reorganize his team and head to the next temple.

Kang said: "That device probably has a soul and self-awareness, just like the three artifacts of Caliban. It chose its own messenger to release itself, so Gusa was able to open the encryption facilities of this warehouse."

"Then there is only one way." Qin Xia suddenly felt helpless.
