Warhammer: Angron Training Manual

Chapter 477 Canonization Ceremony

Chapter 477 Canonization Ceremony
A palace is being built on the ruins of the Ullanor Empire's royal palace.

Lorgar and No. 11 knelt aside and watched the whole process.

The Iron Warriors, together with mortal laborers and a large number of construction machinery, started from the groundbreaking ceremony to digging the foundation...

Lorgar discovered that the Iron Warriors would perform some ritualistic activities during the groundbreaking ceremony. He thought Perturabo did not believe in such mysterious things.

When the groundbreaking ceremony was over, Perturabo came up to the two brothers and looked down at them while supervising the construction.

"..."

After a brief silence, Perturabo motioned to his son, whom he had appointed as the overseer, to do something, and then left the scene.

The overseers had built a small house for the two Primarchs - a miniature building in the style of the Iron Warriors, triangular, black, and made of steel, so small that the two Primarchs could only use it while they were kneeling.

"It's like two doghouses," Lorgar said through gritted teeth. "Damn Perturabo."

In short, the two primarchs knelt on the ground and watched quietly as the project became more and more perfect day by day.

No matter day or night, windy or rainy.

The miniature works Perturabo had directed his offspring to create would at least protect the brothers from the elements.

After countless days and nights, the palace was gradually completed, and after a few more days and nights, the mortals laid some gorgeous decorations inside and outside the palace, and then the Emperor arrived with the Primarchs.

Lorgar and Eleven knelt in the gabled shack, looking up at the Emperor as he led Malcador and the Primarchs toward the palace.

The Emperor didn't even say anything as he passed them.

The two were unaware that Angron had pleaded for them, or that Angron had asked Perturabo to rebuild the two small houses after seeing the triangular shack, but Perturabo gave Angron an explanation from a practical level that Angron could not refute and demanded.

In short, when the Primarchs passed in front of Lorgar and Eleven, the psychic pressure exerted by the Emperor finally dissipated.

He tacitly allowed his two sons to enter the palace.

When Lorgar and No. 11 supported each other and stepped onto the glittering marble road in front of the palace, the imperial guards and some mortals walked towards the palace.

……

The canonization ceremony is about to begin.

People from various regiments gradually poured into the palace to watch the entire ceremony as spectators.

The Primarchs were taken to dress, while the legion leaders were gathered in more than 20 lounges of the same specifications according to the legions they belonged to. There were also bureaucrats from Terra who helped them with their appearance.

In the World Eaters' lounge, Kiel, the World Eaters' various chapter masters, and their subordinate company commanders sat closely together, sitting upright with their helmets placed uniformly on their right knees.

Bureaucrats who were responsible for professional grooming applied makeup and wiped the dust off their armor.

Sitting opposite Kiel and other officers were the Primarch’s brothers and sisters, the gladiators.

These people just gathered together tightly, some sitting and some standing, all wearing armor. Although they looked tough, they still let the bureaucrats manipulate them.

Kiel looked at the blood drinker gladiators.

He suspected that these people didn't even understand what a Warmaster was, nor did they know what kind of glory the Primarch would have. They just stayed here obediently and listened to the Primarch's arrangements and let him manipulate them.

After staring at the blood drinker for a while, Kil's eyes fell on Qin Xia.

Qin Xia sat alone in the corner of the lounge, with a chip-like thing stuck on his head and a gleam in his eyes.

"You have been copied. Your copy will learn while you are away."

Qin Xia heard the reminder sound in his consciousness, and then he woke up and put the chip aside.

Seeing that Keel was looking at him, Qin Xia smiled and explained, "This is an ancient relic that stores some knowledge. It can copy the user's consciousness, allowing the user's consciousness to complete learning and then instill the consciousness into the user's brain, so that the user can quickly learn knowledge that would otherwise take hundreds of years to learn."

“Amazing,” Keel said.

Qin Xia nodded.

A moment later, the door of the lounge was pushed open and a team of Emperor's Children Legion Space Marines walked in.

Fulgrim was ordered to organize the ceremony, and his sons naturally took on the responsibility of running the errands.

"Sir." The leading Space Marine took off his helmet, revealing his handsome face, and said to Qin Xia, "Please go to the ceremony hall with everyone else."

Qin Xia recognized this as Fabius Bayer.

The bald old Chinese doctor still looks very handsome now.

Qin Xia motioned for everyone to follow him. The blood drinkers and officers immediately stood up and lined up to leave the lounge with Qin Xia, and headed to the ceremony hall under the leadership of Bayer and other Emperor's children.

"Sir, what is this?" Bayer looked at the chip in Qin Xia's hand.

"It's just technology." Qin Xia said.

"Can you lend it to me for research?" Bayer leaned forward slightly and asked.

The chip has a self-destructing function and can only copy the consciousness of a user. Moreover, with Bayer's level of research, it is certain that he cannot research anything. He can just connect the chip to watch the fun.

Qin Xia thought about it and handed the chip to Bayer: "Give it back to me after the ceremony."

Bayer bowed.

The group arrived at the ceremony hall.

The Primarchs have gathered here, and the Custodians are maintaining order in the hall.

Space Marines from various legions stood against the walls around the hall.

At the top of the ten steps in the hall stood the Emperor, Malcador, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Imperial Guard, Valdor.

Qin Xia watched Bayer leave the hall, and then he and Kiel came behind Angron. A second later, he smiled at his adopted son who turned around.

Angron was different from the other Primarchs at this time. He was not wearing armor, but a gorgeous robe, the hem of which was so long that it piled on the ground.

The same was true for Horus. The Primarchs talked and laughed among themselves.

The emperor had a sullen face and said nothing.

Qin Xia knew that the emperor actually didn't like extravagance. Although he was the one who ordered the construction of the palace, he didn't want the ceremony to be too large.

The Imperial Lord would no doubt complain to Malcador about the primarchs' vanity after the ceremony.

"Hello again, Lord of the White Knights."

Hearing the greeting, Qin Xia looked to his side and saw Qin Xia and Yesugei, as well as Chagatai standing in front of the two White Scar warriors.

"Lord of Qiexue, Lord of the Storm Prophet." Qin Xia returned the greetings to the two old acquaintances in a friendly manner.

Let’s look at Chagatai again.

The White Scar Primarch was now wearing a formal dress, which also had armor, but overall looked like an ancient official robe.

When Chagatai noticed that Qin Xia was looking at him, he turned around and nodded.

As participants arrived one after another, the ceremony began in solemn silence.

Fulgrim and the two Emperor's Children Space Marines stepped forward and stood at the foot of the steps where the Emperor sat.

The two warriors held trays with two laurel wreaths on them, both of which were the emperor's favorite color, gold.

The Emperor spoke at this time: "In the Ullanor War, the six commanders of the Vanguard Army played a great role. First, they broke through the Goron system, the gateway to the Ullanor Empire, and then annihilated the main force of the Ullanor Empire fleet in the Krako system, which was very inspiring."

Angron, Perturabo, Mortarion, Lorgar, Eleven, Curze.

The six primarchs bowed slightly in salute.

"I have already announced my withdrawal from the Great Crusade. You are all aware of the specific reasons."

With the presence of Space Marines at this time, the Emperor was reluctant to say more about the Webway Project.

The Primarchs nodded.

"Today, I will crown two of my proudest sons with the title of Warmaster."

The emperor slowly walked down the stairs.

Everyone's attention and gaze were focused on the Emperor.

Fulgrim motioned for Angron and Horus to step forward.

Horus smiled at Angron, and the two brothers looked at each other and stepped forward.

On the Moon Wolf side, Sejanus immediately stepped forward, picked up the hem of the Warmaster's gorgeous robe, and followed the Gene-Father forward.

On the World Eaters' side, it should have been Kiel who stepped forward and lifted up the hem of the Gene-Father, because such servant-like behavior was not something that should be done by the second-in-command of the Legion.

But when Kiel was about to step out, Qin Xia signaled Kiel to let him come.

Angron looked back at his adoptive father with joy.

Qin Xia had a solemn expression, with only the right corner of his mouth slightly raised. He raised his head slightly towards the Warmaster's wreath held by the two Emperor's sons beside Fulgrim, and then held up his tail.

The gladiators among the blood drinkers smiled and winked at Angron, or smiled with satisfaction.

As the only mortal among the many superhumans present, Crest had a gratified smile on his face like an aunt, thinking: Angron, who had huddled in the corner like a frightened kitten when he entered the arena, has now become a majestic imperial military leader.

Those whom the Primarch regarded as brothers and sisters were not quite clear about what a Warmaster was, nor were they very clear about what kind of precious honor the Warmaster was, because the details of the Warmaster had not yet been announced, and they did not know much.

But they were happy enough just to see Angron get the glory.

In a group held together by affection and experience, and bound by bonds beyond blood, the honor of one member is the honor of all.

Angron stepped forward.

Horus stepped forward.

The Emperor lifted the golden laurel wreath from the tray and gently placed it on the heads of the two Primarchs who held their heads high.

He seemed to be putting it on both Primarchs at the same time, or he seemed to be putting it on Angron or Horus first.

After the laurel wreaths fell on the heads of the two warmasters, the guards struck their shields with their halberds in hand.

There was thunderous applause in the hall.

"From today on, you will each lead a large expedition force."

The Emperor looked towards the Primarchs.

"Lion, Mortarion, Corax, Lorgar, Eleven, Rogal Dorn, Sanguinius, Ferrus, Fulgrim."

"You and your respective legions will be under the command of Horus."

The Primarchs whose names were called bowed.

"The rest of the people will be under the command of Angron."

The Primarchs whose names were not called also bowed.

Horus stared at the Emperor, feeling delighted but also somewhat confused. For some reason, he found that the Emperor was always staring at him, with eyes that were deep and solemn.

The Primarchs had different ideas after knowing who would lead each of them, but they also knew that this was only a general arrangement. When the specific arrangements came down, they might not necessarily follow one of the Warmasters to fight everywhere.

For example, the First Legion, the Dark Angels, some things need to be handled by this legion alone.

"The ceremony is over," the Emperor declared. "Perturabo, recycle this palace and all its furnishings into basic materials."
