Chapter 39: Wolverine comes to the rescue!

"Donald, let them go!"

Logan clearly heard Gabriela's cry for help. His eyes were instantly filled with anger and he held the phone tightly.

"Logan, listen to my advice and stop meddling in other people's business. I am already very unhappy with your disobedience. Don't irritate me again."

Donald left a cold remark and hung up the phone.

Hearing the beeping sound from the phone, Logan slapped the steering wheel fiercely, then quickly started the car and rushed to the address Gabriela had left for him.

On the way he called Caliban.

"Hey, Caliban, there's a new situation. I don't have time to explain. Take the professor with you and wait for me at the junction of Santa Fe City. Quick!"

Caliban on the other end of the phone was obviously worried, "Has Chris discovered our escape plan?"

"No, it's Donald."

Logan explained in a deep voice: "That guy is even more difficult to deal with than the Lawrence family. Before he sets his sights on us, you should quickly evacuate with the professor. Otherwise, when he has time, we won't be able to escape!"

"I understand." Caliban heard the anxiety in Logan's tone and said quickly: "The professor and I will set off now."

"Yes." Logan nodded and said, "Wait for me at the border for two hours. If you don't see me after two hours, don't hesitate. Take the professor to Viktor on Weeks Street in Nevada. He can give you asylum."

"Sabre-toothed tiger?"

Caliban was slightly stunned, then responded: "I remember. I'll wait for you at the border. You must be careful."

"Well, I will."

After saying that, Logan hung up the phone, looked at the road ahead with a grim expression, gritted his teeth, stepped on the accelerator, and rushed towards Gabriela's address.

Meanwhile, in the hotel.

Donald sat on the sofa in the room, looking at Gabriela across from him.

The poor Mexican woman was handcuffed behind her back and sat on a chair, her hair disheveled, her face bruised, blood oozing from the corners of her mouth. She stared at Donald with weak teeth.

Donald sat on the sofa and looked at her, playing with a short knife in his hand, and asked, "Where is the little girl?"

When they found Gabriela's address, they rushed over immediately. Unfortunately, they only found Gabriela in the hotel, and Laura was nowhere to be seen.

But Donald was sure that Gabriela and Laura had always lived together, and the room was full of traces of their lives.

Gabriela stared at Donald, biting his lips and making no sound.

Donald looked at her stubborn look and snorted, "Still stubborn? If you don't tell me where X-23 is, no one can save you. Don't worry, I won't let you die so easily. You've been in our laboratory and know a lot of our experimental processes. I believe you don't want to experience being used as a test subject again."

Hearing about the laboratory, fear flashed in Gabriela's eyes, but he still gritted his teeth: "Fuck you, God will not forgive you!"

Donald was a little impatient and said, "Do you think there is nothing we can do if you don't tell us? I won't give up on that little girl. The higher-ups have always valued her very much. Besides, without your help, how far can she run?"

After a pause, he suddenly sneered: "You don't want to count on Wolverine, Gabriela, be rational, Logan is now a damn old wolf, and he can't protect himself now, why do you think he will go against Wolverine for you?"

Upon hearing this, Gabriela frowned and looked sad.

She knew deep down that what Donald said was probably true, but even so she still didn't say anything.

"Ah~"

Donald slowly stood up and walked to Gabriela, "You really disappoint me."

As soon as he finished speaking, he raised his hand and slapped Gabriela hard in the face.

Snapped!
The piercing sound echoed in the room. The palm strike almost knocked Gabriela unconscious, and one of his teeth was broken by the heavy blow and flew out of his mouth.

Donald did not stop, and kicked Gabrielle's diarrhea again. The powerful force knocked her away and the chair behind her broke.

The pain in her abdomen made Gabriela curl up on the ground, spurting blood from her mouth. The physical pain made her tears keep falling.

But she gritted her teeth and sneered: "You'd better kill me, so that no one will know Laura's whereabouts."

boom!
"Ah!" Just as Donald was about to take further action, a scream outside the house instantly perked him up, and he quickly turned around and rushed out of the room.

The room is on the first floor, and outside is the hotel's own courtyard.

At this time, the petite Laura was standing in the yard, and at her feet was lying a gunman with blood splattered on his chest.

Several gunmen nearby surrounded them vigilantly.

"Laura, what are you doing back here? Run away!"

Gabriela in the room saw that it was Laura and was immediately panicked.

"It seems she can't bear to leave you."

When Donald saw Laura, he smiled again and said, “Laura, come back with me obediently, nothing will happen here, otherwise…”

However, before he could finish his words, Laura stretched out her claws and pounced on him.

Donald reacted quickly and dodged backwards. The girl's steel claws missed and stabbed into the ground, instantly cutting through the hard concrete floor and leaving four clear scratches.

The two gunmen nearby reacted quickly and stepped forward to restrain Laura. Facing two adults, Laura seemed a little struggling.

Just as she was about to resist, the gunman beside her took out the anesthetic that had been prepared long ago and stabbed it hard in the girl's neck.

The girl's expression was dazed for a moment, her body gradually lost strength, and she stared at Donald.

"There will be no rewards for disobedient children."

Donald breathed a sigh of relief. The anesthetic would only make her exhausted, not fall into a coma.

At this moment, Laura's eyes were full of resentment, and her clear eyes were filled with murderous intent, but she couldn't use any strength in her body. Even though the enemy was close at hand, she could do nothing.

"Bring back!"

Donald ordered coldly.

"Where's Gabriela?"

One of the gunmen glanced at Gabriela inside the house.

At this time, Gabriela's eyes were red, filled with resentment towards Donald and heartache for Laura.

"Find a place and bury it."

Donald glanced at him coldly.

Hearing this, Laura bit her red lips and struggled hard, but her weak limbs made her only able to watch the gunman walk towards Gabriela.

"Donald, God will never forgive you!"

Gabriela stared at the pitch-black muzzle of the gun and his breath was choked.

She took one last look at Laura and closed her eyes in despair. Perhaps she should have left a week ago instead of choosing to trust Logan.

boom!
Suddenly, a black car came roaring down the road, and the sound of its engine almost filled the entire block.

The front of the car hit Donald without hesitation. The terrifying speed made Donald's pupils shrink and he subconsciously turned over to avoid it.

boom!
The car hit the wall hard, breaking it instantly, with bricks scattering and the front of the car embedded in it.

Click.

The car door was opened and a figure got out, the steel claws in his hands emitting icy light under the scorching sun.

He stared at Donald intently, and his black shadow was stretched out to completely cover Donald.

"Donald, let them go!"
