Chapter 61 Eden Transit Station
What Laura was thinking about was not the Garden of Eden, but her friends in the laboratory and the transit station built in the Gobi Desert.

The oldest person in the transit station was only sixteen or seventeen years old, and the youngest was not even ten years old.

Perhaps because they had lived in the laboratory since childhood, these children were wary and curious about Logan and his friends. They all hid far away, only showing half of their heads, and kept stealing glances at them.

Only the relatively older Carl and his children received them.

It was getting dark, and everyone was exhausted from traveling all the way. Even Charles, who loved children very much, had no interest in talking to them.

Logan could only carry Charles on his back and go into the room arranged by Carl to rest for a while.

I slept until the next day.

After waking up, Logan learned from Carl that there was an underground mutant shelter in Canada, and the shelter had accepted their asylum application and sent a receptionist to pick them up.

When the time comes, they will be able to cross the border and go to the mutant shelter in Canada with their hosts.

However, according to the plan discussed with the shelter, they should have met with the receptionist two days ago, but for some unknown reason, they kept postponing it, and there has been no response until now.

On the observation tower, the telegraph machine made a sound.

Toot toot! ! !
Carl, who was standing outside by the fence on guard, rushed into the house and answered the phone: "This is Carl, please reply."

"This is the shelter. Your receptionist has arrived. Please gather at the border forest before 12 o'clock today. Someone will meet you there. Please reply if you receive any."

The receiver of the telegraph machine began to sound.

Logan, who was standing by, could clearly hear that the other person's voice was a little low.

"receive."

Carl put down the radio, breathed a sigh of relief, and finally a smile appeared on his calm face. He turned to Logan and said, "They are finally here."

"Ah."

Logan nodded and couldn't help but look up at the border forest in the distance.

"I'll ask them to pack their bags."

Laura at the side volunteered to speak. Since coming here to meet up with her friends, she has become visibly more lively.

Laura quickly ran down the watchtower and notified her friends one by one.

Karl looked at Laura's back, smiled, turned to Logan and said, "Laura told me about your affairs last night. Thank you for protecting her all the way."

"It should."

Logan withdrew his gaze and sighed, "I just happen to need to move to another place to continue living."

"You didn't have to take such risks."

Karl smiled and said, “With your strength, if you gave up Laura, you would be able to get away better, but you still chose to save her. You are a real hero.”

Logan smiled and shook his head and stopped talking.

Soon, all the little mutants' belongings were packed up.

They all escaped from the laboratory, and they didn't carry much with them. Basically, each of them had a small backpack that could not be filled.

Under Carl's command, everyone worked together to walk down the Gobi Desert and move quickly towards the forest. They needed to arrive before twelve o'clock, but there was not much time to delay them.

The forest of Drax National Wildlife Refuge covers the border between the United States and Canada. There are few interception posts and patrolling border troops in the dense jungle, making it a good place to cross the border.

However, this seemingly safe route has never been the first choice of illegal immigrants. In fact, if they are not forced to do so, they would rather die than choose this route.

Because the wild beasts in the forest will stop any group of humans who try to break into their homes.

Logan and Carl led the way, clearing the branches and obstacles blocking the way.

Behind them, Victor followed closely with Charles on his back, while the timid Caliban walked in the middle of the crowd.

The white robe that covered his entire body became an entertainment facility for the children during their escape. Some naughty children would come forward and grab a corner of the robe from time to time, and every time they would scare Caliban so much that he would hold on to the robe tightly, fearing that it would be pulled off by these naughty children.

His frightened look made the children burst into laughter, adding some humor to the boring journey.

But after entering the forest, the laughter became much quieter. The strange growls coming from the depths of the forest from time to time made the children look a little worried.

But fortunately, these low roars seemed to be just warnings, and they did not see any wild beasts along the way. "It seems that this forest is not as dangerous as imagined."

Caliban breathed a sigh of relief, the worry in his heart gradually dissipating.

"Rebecca can communicate with wild animals. She told them that we were just passing by and had no ill intentions. Generally, wild animals would kindly give way to us. Unless we actively hurt them, they would not attack us."

Laura in the crowd spoke up to explain and told Caliban not to worry about the attacks of wild beasts.

When Charles on Victor's back heard this, he suddenly turned around and looked at Rebecca who was constantly using her mind to notify the surrounding beasts in the crowd. He smiled kindly and said, "Being able to communicate with beasts, it seems that she and I are from the same family."

His ability is to communicate with others using brain waves, and even control other people's brains.

And the way Rebecca communicates with the beast is similar to his.

"Professor, there are a lot of clones now. Not to mention the same family, there may even be clones with the same abilities as you. Maybe there is an impostor among those chasing us."

Victor said jokingly: "Logan has more than twenty clones, but they are all dead."

Logan, who was leading the way, suddenly turned around and said nonchalantly, "It would be great if there was a clone of the professor. He's just lacking a healthy body right now."

Charles' ability is that he can transfer his consciousness to other bodies. If there really is a clone of him, it would provide him with a complete body.

As he was talking, Karl suddenly stopped and pointed to a big tree in front of him and said, "We're here. This is it."

It was an extremely sturdy tree, which looked to be at least hundreds of years old, forming a sharp contrast with the surrounding trees. Hanging on the thick trunk was a sign with three fresh scratches on it.

Karl walked to the sign, took a closer look, then turned around and looked around. He couldn't help but frowned, "Strange, we said we would meet here, where are the people?"

According to the plan with the shelter, the sign with three scratches was the meeting point, but there was no one around at this time.

"Ok?"

Logan also walked up to Carl, but his keen insight made his expression stiffen.

With a swish, the steel claws stretched out and stabbed straight into the open space in front of him.

"Hey!"

A panicked cry was heard, and a man slowly emerged from the tip of the steel claws.

He looked at the steel claws that were almost touching his eyes. The piercing cold light frightened him so much that he broke out in a cold sweat. He quickly raised his hands and said, "Don't be impulsive. I'm the one who will receive you."

Everyone looked at him. He was a man in his thirties, wearing a denim jacket and had a thin build. Apparently, his ability was to become invisible, allowing him to hide even his clothes.

A muscular young man with long hair walked out from behind the tree. He looked at Logan's steel claws and nodded, saying, "Good reaction speed. It seems that the shelter can add another strong warrior."

He walked up to Logan and said, "Hello, my name is John, and I'm here to take you to the shelter."

The previously invisible man smiled and said, "You can call me the Invisible Man, or Klaus, or anything else."

Logan looked at them, put away his steel claws, and said in a deep voice: "Don't be sneaky next time. It's not good to hurt someone by mistake."

Klaus looked at Logan's face and said, "You must be Wolverine, right? I've seen you in comics. To be honest, you should sue those artists. They definitely made you look ugly!"

"Just call me Logan."

Logan simply nodded, then introduced the professors who stood up: "These are Charles, Victor and Caliban. I hope you can take us to the shelter. We can also provide some protection on the way."

After all, when Carl contacted the shelter before, there was only a group of children. Now that there are a few more elderly people joining, he should always ask for their opinions.

"no problem."

Klaus agreed decisively and said happily, "Actually, you don't need an introduction. I know Charles, Professor X, the greatest biologist in the mutant world. You are my idol. The shelter welcomes you to join us."

"Thanks, but that's all in the past."

Charles waved his hand.

"Okay, we can talk about pleasantries later. We need to get out of here."

John looked around vigilantly and urged.

Under the guidance of the two hosts, everyone walked quickly towards the depths of the forest.
