Chapter 15: Unexpected Attack (Please read on!)

"Bang bang bang bang."

After the last straight punch, the sandbag was hit everywhere. Li You wiped the sweat with the towel hanging around his neck. The environment in the boxing gym was completely different from a few days ago.

The place was cleaned up by Long Da and his men. Li You also bought some training equipment with his own money. Even Zheng Qitie paid for more equipment after coming to take a look.

At least it is a proper boxing gym. It is not open to the public, and many of my men come here to train on a regular basis.

Li You sat down in his own rest area, unscrewed the bottle and drank a sip of water. His engorged muscles made Long Da, who was standing next to him, envious. Ever since what happened that day, Long Da would follow Li You diligently whenever he had time, and the word "admiration" seemed to be engraved on his forehead.

It is already past seven o'clock in the evening and it happens to be the weekend. Most of the members of Jiangnan Industrial are still patrolling the streets. Choi Jung-bae and Hong Xicheng are both family-oriented people, and they go home early on weekends to be with their families.

There weren't many people in the boxing gym, only a small number.

"Ding ding ding ding ding"

It was Zheng Qitie calling. Li You pressed the answer button to his ear and asked, "Hello?"

"Get out of here! Li You, come back soon!"

Then came the sounds of smashing and cursing from the other side. Li You realized that something had happened in the headquarters building. As expected, there were not many people there either, maybe even only a few.

At least Xu Zhonglie is definitely not there. Although he has a dormitory in the small building, he has an elderly mother at home in Seoul. He has to go back to take care of her from time to time, so he does not live in the dormitory every day.

"Go back with me!"

Li You pushed the door open and started running without bumping into any pedestrians on the road. He took only a few minutes to travel a distance that would take more than ten minutes to walk. Even the world champion in long-distance running could not be faster than him. Long Da chased him from behind for a while but could no longer see any trace of Li You.

The Jiangnan Industrial building was completely dark, with flashlights shining out from time to time, as well as various sounds of shouting and rummaging through boxes.

When going upstairs, Li You heard Park Junmo's shouting, and he felt relieved. At least Zheng Qitie would not die unclearly when Park Junmo was there.

Going up to the third floor, there were dozens of flashlights shining everywhere. Park Junmo was surrounded by several people. But when Park Junmo saw Li You, he looked embarrassed and said, "Ah Xi."

Park Junmo, with a bleeding head, pushed the besiegers. Li You didn't see Zheng Qitie, probably because he hid himself. As if realizing that people from Jiangnan Industrial were coming, the attackers suddenly started to withdraw, but Li You blocked their way. It was not until Park Junmo approached and kept winking at him that Li You realized the identities of these people and quietly let go of them.

When the last person passed by, Li You saw the inner office was pushed open and said, "Alas!"

He reached out and grabbed the last man's shoulder, and with an easy grappling move he threw him to the ground. The masked man's eyes were full of surprise.

"I'm sorry." Li You said softly, "He can see it."

The man sighed and nodded slightly to show that he understood.

When Zheng Qitie rushed out, he was holding a revolver in his hand, which looked very much like the standard police equipment. It was probably one of the revolvers that were eliminated from the police department and sold by corrupt officials. His first sight was Li You beating a man who was trying to escape from him, and his second sight was Park Junmo with a bloody head. Apart from that, he didn't see anyone else, so he breathed a sigh of relief.

"Shit," he put the gun on his back and covered it with his suit, "Are they all gone?"

Park Junmo nodded, breathing heavily.

Zheng Qitie looked unhappy. He walked over and pulled off the man's mask. It was a very ordinary face, without any special features. He was not someone Zheng Qitie knew. "Who are you?"

The man kept his mouth shut and said nothing. Zheng Qitie kicked him in the chest, "You won't say anything?"

"Did not say?"

"Did not say?"

“Ahem.” Zheng Qitie kicked the man every time he asked. The man was kicked to the ground again and again. Park Junmo’s eyes were full of struggle. Until the members of Gangnam Industrial rushed over, Choi Jung-bae grabbed him and said, “Enough, enough, President!”

Li You stepped forward to stop Zheng Qitie who was about to attack, "We have to let him go."

"Let him go." Xu Zhonglie frowned, "Do you know what you are talking about?"

Li You picked up the flashlight that had fallen to the side, unscrewed the cover at the back, and looked inside. He could still see the police logo on the inside of the flashlight. "He is a policeman."

The members of Jiangnan Industrial passed the flashlight around, each one looking uglier than the other. Finally, it was passed to Zheng Qitie. He weighed the flashlight with an expressionless face, as if he was not the one who was angry just now.

"Shit," Hong Xicheng ran to the window and looked outside, then turned to look at Li You and Park Junmo, as if he was considering who to hand over, "Qiche, we have no choice but to let him go."

"Li You is right. No matter what we do to him, the police have reason to arrest him and even seal off this place!" Hong Xicheng, who knows a little about the law, gritted his teeth. "Even if the police in the Republic of Korea are like trash, they must have the support of prosecutors behind them, otherwise they wouldn't dare to do this."

"Qitie! They should have targeted us!" In Li You's opinion, he was extremely terrified.

"That's right," the arrested policeman suddenly laughed, helping Li You to complete the play, "Even if the prosecutor wants to find a reason to investigate here, what can you do?"

"Exposing our police for breaking in illegally? Who are you? Don't forget your identities!"

"Shut up! You bastard!" Park Junmo yelled and joined in Li You's relieved look.

"Or are you going to kill me? Break my legs or arms?" The policeman sneered, "If you do it now, you will all go to jail tomorrow."

Zheng Qitie stared at him for a long time. After several minutes, he took a deep breath, looked up at the ceiling, closed his eyes, and said, "Let him go."

There was reluctance and fear on his face. He couldn't fall here because of such a thing.

The police left and he was safe and sound. The people from Jiangnan Industrial had no way to do anything to him. They were angry and terrified at the same time.

Most people in Jiangnan Industrial have never thought about what would happen if they were caught by the police. They just think that the police are annoying and don't want to have anything to do with them. When the police find out about them, these guys who are not desperate criminals will start to feel afraid.

A group of people came to the clinic to treat Park Junmo's injuries.

Outside the door, Zheng Qitie and others looked solemn, while Li You and Xu Zhonglie stood aside, both of them had no expression.

"Are we just going to swallow this anger?" Choi Jung-bae couldn't hold it in any longer.

"What else?" Hong Xicheng was a little anxious. "Ah, you still want to attack the police? The people above are eager for you to do it, to take a policeman's life in exchange for his future."

"Isn't that right, Li You?"

"Yeah." Li You nodded and agreed with Hong Xicheng's statement.

"I still have a family and a daughter to support," Hong Xicheng kept on talking. "Shit, who will support them if I go to jail? And you, Zhengpei, think about your wife. Aren't you planning to have a child?"

Cui Zhengpei was silent. Hong Xicheng wanted to say something, but Zheng Qitie raised his hand to stop him.

"From today on, team leaders, try to restrain your subordinates and don't let them be too ostentatious. Also, dress more modestly when patrolling the streets."

Cui Zhengpei suddenly remembered something, "What about our recent fishing activities?"

"Stop too."
