Chapter 319 The Call of Chaos Space and Time

In the corridor on the second floor of the police station, all the detectives in charge of the case were called together for a meeting.

Park Hae-young, who wanted to provide clues, was not taken seriously before the director came. He tried many times to explain the situation to the criminal police who passed by, but due to his poor expression skills and his current shy personality, Park Hae-young, who was still an elementary school student, never succeeded.

He silently watched the detectives enter the conference room. He could only run to the side and write on a piece of waste paper with his pen: "The prisoner is not a man, but a woman."

He clearly saw that the person who took Kim Yoon-jeong away was a woman wearing red high heels, so why did the TV keep saying it was a man?
Park Hae-young hurried downstairs, but bumped into a detective who was walking upstairs.

The documents that the detective was holding scattered, and the papers that Park Hae-young had not stuffed properly in his pocket also fell silently.

The shy Park Hae-young didn't have time to apologize. He just turned around and ran downstairs in a hurry. He didn't notice that his note fell to the ground and was picked up by the detective.

The leader of the serious crime squad in the conference room bowed his head respectfully, "Director Nim!"

"I told you," the director looked coldly at the team leader and the police, "if you can't find the murderer within three days, you can submit your resignation."

The team leader's face was full of bitterness. He didn't know why the director, who was usually so high and mighty, would do things this way.

"I will do my best, Director-nim!" The team leader was panicked and didn't know how to proceed with the case. He could only shout slogans verbally.

"Is there someone missing from your serious crime squad?" The director glanced around the conference room and found an empty spot where paper and pen were placed.

"Detective Li went to investigate," a female police officer stood up. "He is still outside investigating and has not returned yet. I have already informed him, Director-General Nim."

To everyone else's surprise, the director was not dissatisfied. Instead, a smile appeared on his serious face. "Look, this is the criminal police of the Republic of Korea!"

"When I came, he was the only one out investigating. What are you doing here?"

The smile faded. The director put a lot of pressure on these policemen.

"Let's go right away," the team leader bowed repeatedly in fear.

"Go quickly."

The team leader who was leaving happened to run into Li Caihan who was rushing over. He put on a stiff smile on his face, "Caihan, did you find anything?"

"I" Li Caihan opened his mouth, feeling somewhat helpless. He really didn't find anything, only
"Team leader!" The female police officer reported with a tense face, secretly glancing at Li Caihan, "Something's going on."

"what happened?"

"Someone sent a blackmail letter to Kim Yoon-jeong's mother, demanding that she leave the money at a cafe the next morning, or she would be killed."

The next night, the atmosphere in the conference room became heavy again.

They did not catch the criminal in the cafe, but only found some things that seemed to have been used by the suspect. After fingerprint comparison, they confirmed that the fingerprints on those things were consistent with the fingerprints on the ransom letter, and that the suspect was a medical student named Xu Hengjun.

But. He disappeared.

"He is the criminal," the team leader said firmly, "Immediately arrest Xu Hengjun."

"Team leader!" Li Caihan expressed a different opinion. "Who would leave only his thumbprint on everything he used? This definitely wasn't him!"

"All of Seo Hyung-jun's credit cards have been maxed out. He spent all his money on luxury women's products. I suspect his girlfriend."

"Li Cai Han," the team leader said sarcastically, "Does the director's praise mean you don't take me seriously? Am I still your superior?"

Without waiting for his reply, the team leader walked out with his men in a swagger, leaving Li Caihan alone.

Li Caihan returned to the car helplessly. He stuffed his hands into the pockets of his coat, which had not been washed for two days, trying to warm his almost frozen hands, but he touched the note from young Park Hae-young.

"The criminal is a woman?" He sighed. In fact, he found some clues. But he didn't know how to tell the people around him, so he could only do it himself.

"Shanri Mental Hospital."

Li Caihan subconsciously glanced at the walkie-talkie and hurriedly started the car. His movements were quick and decisive. He stepped on the accelerator and drove through the dark road.

The abandoned Sunil Mental Hospital looms in the gloomy background, like a monster with its eyes open.

The wheels rolled over the scattered dead leaves, making a rustling sound. That was the only sound, echoing in the empty and long courtyard.

Li Caihan pushed open the car door and the cold wind immediately blew in his face like a knife, making him shiver.

In front of me was a dilapidated building with its broken exterior walls covered in dust and cobwebs. The paint on the walls had peeled off, revealing the mottled bricks and stones inside. The air was filled with a strong smell of mildew.

He took a deep breath and walked into the mental hospital. Every step he took made a heavy echo on the creaking floor.

Li Caihan's eyes lingered on every place, trying to find clues from these ruins, but no matter how hard he looked, he couldn't find anything.

He sighed and looked at his watch. The time was almost up.

Li Caihan walked out of the mental hospital, took out the radio, but found something when he looked down.

Just under the kiln shaft behind this small building, a man was hanging here. He leaned over and shone the flashlight carefully, frowning deeply.

But the time has come. It is now 11:23 pm. Lee Jae-han turns on the radio. "Guard Park, why don't you let me come to Sunil Mental Hospital?"

"here."

There was a sound of breaking air behind my head, but someone grabbed me.

Li Caihan stepped forward and shone the flashlight behind him.

A man in a black sweatshirt had been pinned to the ground by several men in black suits.

"Detective Lee Jae-han," Jeon Jae-joon stepped out from the shadows, "Our chairman wants to see you."

"President." Li Caihan looked puzzled, "Why?"

He looked at the radio, but found that the radio had lost all noise and no words were coming through.

"Also," Jeon Jae-jun held out his hand to him, "Please give us the intercom as well."

Li Caihan's pupils constricted, but he didn't understand how they knew.

He has solved five major cases through the walkie-talkie. Based on his communication with the future Guard Park Hae-young and the evidence found by Guard Park Hae-young in 2015, those five cases have been successfully solved by the past and present Lee Jae-han.

But the future Park Hae-young has been emphasizing that he should not be allowed to come here, which means that he should not be allowed to solve the kidnapping case of Kim Yoon-jeong. Li Caihan is not sure whether it is because of these people in front of him.

He didn't know that he was being targeted because he had investigated the previous case too deeply and involved certain powerful people.

It was only because of the appearance of Quan Jae-jun and others that he escaped.

"We have no ill intentions," Jeon Jae-jun pointed at the man on the ground, "otherwise we wouldn't have saved you from him."

Li Caihan glanced at the radio, which was still making a crackling sound, but he had no choice but to hand the radio to Quan Zaijun.
