After Constantine finished shouting, before anyone else could react, Lin Bei, who was holding the door, said calmly, "Hey Constantine, you're being too loud. You'll attract the attention of anything on this cruise ship."

As he spoke, Lin Bei looked at Scarlett and the other three with indifferent eyes: "And I remember saying that I would not save any burdens. Of course, if you want to act on your own, I will not stop you."

Lin Bei then strode into the cabin, ignoring them completely.

Constantine gave Scarlett and the other three the middle finger and hurriedly followed Lin Bei.

Scarlett and the other three were left standing there, looking at each other for a long time. It wasn't until the storm outside intensified that they hunched their shoulders and rushed into the cabin to chase after Lin Bei.

The deeper you go into the ship's cabin, the quieter it becomes.

The thick walls of the cabin completely blocked out the sounds of wind, rain, and waves crashing against the hull. Once it was quiet, all that remained was a somber atmosphere and an invisible sense of oppression overhead.

Lin Bei led the group forward for a long distance, but there wasn't a sound, let alone half a person.

The humans in the cabin seemed to have vanished into thin air, leaving no trace.

But all the facilities on the ship were working, and all the lights were on. The eerie atmosphere made it no exaggeration to call it a ghost ship.

Just as they turned the corner and started walking downstairs, after going a short distance, Scarlett hesitated and asked, "Have you... smelled anything strange?"

Everyone was slightly taken aback upon hearing this, and they all stopped in their tracks, sniffing the air.

Lin Bei and Constantine exchanged a glance. Constantine exhaled a puff of smoke and said calmly, "What else could it be but the smell of blood?"

The smell of blood!

The other four looked slightly stiff and uneasy.

Lin Bei ignored them and continued walking forward.

Stimulated by the stench of blood, the four dared not utter any further objections and silently followed Lin Bei toward the bottom of the cabin.

As you walk to the bottom of the cabin, the once bright and beautiful environment finally becomes abnormal.

Seawater is flooding in.

The bottom of the cabin was mostly submerged by seawater, which looked very murky, and it was impossible to tell what was inside.

They stood at the edge of the stairs, looking at the water, unsure of what to do.

The water was too murky; nobody knew what was in it, and nobody dared to go down into it.

Papillon hesitated before speaking, "What do we do now? Are we going to have to go into the water? This water doesn't seem very safe."

Lin Bei thought to himself, "Of course it's not safe."

From this level onwards, it becomes the territory of deep-sea behemoths.

Despite being described as a giant creature from the deep sea, it was actually an octopus even larger than this cruise ship.

This octopus must have belonged to the retinue of some unseen being in the Cthulhu Mythos. It came to the surface from the deep sea because it wanted to eat people, and swallowed the entire cruise ship.

Lin Bei hesitated for a moment, and was just about to go into the water when he heard the hatch at the far end of the way open.

Immediately following were two exclamations from a man and a woman: "Hey, are you guests on the ship? Don't go into the water! There's something in the water!"

Everyone looked over and saw three people standing at the hatch in the distance.

Lin Bei immediately recognized that the person leading the group was Finnegan, the male lead of "Deep Rising," with the female lead, Cui Lin, and the supporting character, the mechanic Joey.

These three were also the last survivors in "Deep Rising".

Lin Bei narrowed his eyes slightly, ignoring their words, and turned to Constantine in a low voice: "I'll go down and deal with the problem. Good luck to you. Here's a piece of advice: stay away from those three people. With your abilities, you can protect yourself."

After saying that, Lin Bei stepped into the water.

The water at the bottom of the hold was obviously very deep. As soon as Lin Bei stepped in, he disappeared from everyone's sight.

Scarlett and the other three were startled, and Scarlett and George instinctively cried out.

The three people opposite were also dumbfounded.

Finnigan quickly came to his senses and took a step forward, intending to jump into the water as well.

Fortunately, Cui Lin reacted quickly, immediately grabbing him and slapping him: "Are you crazy! If you jump into the water, you'll be eaten by monsters. Haven't you seen enough scenes before?"

Finnigan took a few deep breaths, frowned, and looked in the direction where Lin Bei had fallen into the water, without saying a word.

Finnegan didn't explain to Trilling that he had just assumed the tourists on the other side were too terrified and, upon seeing the rescue, had ignored the murky water and wanted to walk over.

But now that I think about it, that guy clearly jumped down on his own initiative, and even if I think about his expression carefully, it doesn't seem like he was overly terrified.

Finnegan felt something was off, but now wasn't the time to think about it.

Ignoring the casualties on the other side, Finnegan yelled at them, "Hey! All of you calm down, don't jump into the water anymore! I told you, there are monsters in the water. Listen to us, climb up the pipe on the right, climb behind the door. That's where the rescue boats are stored. As long as there are boats, we'll be safe, okay?"

Cui Lin also loudly reminded them, "It's relatively safe now. One of you has already drawn the monster's attention. When you climb down, be careful and quiet, and absolutely do not disturb the monster!"

Scarlett and the others were a little confused. They thought that since they couldn't go into the water, why not turn around and climb onto the deck?

But then I thought, there are no small motorboats on the deck. It seems that the only way to leave this strange ghost cruise ship is to rely on the motorboat that the person on the other side mentioned.

Papillon rolled his eyes and complained, "Where have we come from? We just came out of the catacombs and now we're running into this again. Why didn't you just take us back to Central Park from the beginning?"

Constantine rolled his eyes, muttered "ungrateful wretch," and then, without arguing with them or climbing the pipes, turned and went back to the upper room with a cigarette in his mouth.

Constantine decided to heed the advice, distance himself from these burdens, and find a temporarily safe place to stay and smoke.

Anyway, Lin Bei will always come to him after he finishes dealing with the problem.

After all, Lin Bei still needed a driver.

Constantine was optimistic. He quickly climbed to the next level, closed the hatch, and prepared to look for some premium cigars.

Scarlett and her three companions were at a loss for what to do about Constantine and Lin Bei's actions.

One jumped into the water, and the other walked upstream. What about them?
Are you just going to leave them here?

If Scarlett and the others were smarter, they would have made the right choice by following Constantine at this time.

Papillon was still annoyed after Constantine rolled his eyes at him.

He scoffed, waved to Finnigan and the others, and then climbed up the pipe as they instructed.

Scarlett and the other two exchanged glances, finding themselves completely indecisive, and then followed Papillon.

It is said that everyone has their own destiny, and whether one is born or dies is determined by each of their own choices.

Just as Scarlett and her three companions were climbing toward safety as Finnegan and the others instructed, Lin Bei jumped into the water and went straight to the bottom.

The water was murky, but that didn't affect Lin Bei.

Even deep underwater, the seawater did not wet the hem of his clothes.

Lin Bei looked around and his gaze fell on a wall made of steel plates not far away.

He could feel something watching him ever since he entered the water. This feeling permeated the entire underwater world, but Lin Bei, with his absolute strength, sensed that the true form of the deep-sea behemoth was staring at him from behind the steel wall.

This giant octopus has an extremely flexible body, allowing it to squeeze itself into a container several times smaller than itself.

This is how giant octopuses sneak into cruise ships, then extend countless long, sucker-like, spiked tentacles into the pipes, roll up and crush the people on board, and stuff them into their mouths to eat.

Lin Bei narrowed his eyes slightly, snapped his fingers, and activated the power of the Shadow Monarch.

Black liquid gushed out from under Lin Bei's feet, instantly covering the entire bottom of the cabin.

At Lin Bei's signal, the black liquid quietly seeped behind the steel plate wall.

Just as the black liquid pierced through the steel plate wall, the originally calm water suddenly began to churn, and countless black tentacles emerged from the pipes around Lin Bei, attacking him at an extremely fast speed.

It seems that when Lin Bei tried to attack the giant octopus, the giant octopus couldn't help but attack Lin Bei in return.

Just as those countless tentacles were about to bind Lin Bei, Lin Bei let out a cold snort.

"The divine edge has no shadow."

As soon as he finished speaking, several blades formed of white light suddenly emerged from the bottom of the water.

The white blade spun wildly underwater before hurtling towards the tentacles.

All the tentacles that were swept up by the white blade were cut into countless pieces.

The giant octopus, in pain, quickly retracted its remaining intact tentacles.

The giant octopus seemed to know that this newcomer was not to be trifled with, and this time it even moved its hiding place.

Lin Bei scratched his head. This giant octopus wasn't very intelligent, so fighting it was really pointless.

I just want to see it give some kind of response, but I can't.

Lin Bei was somewhat disgusted and decided to finish the job quickly.

After thinking for a moment, he directly used the incantation "Candle Dragon".

In an instant, countless huge fireballs appeared out of thin air around Lin Bei, the surrounding temperature rose sharply, and the seawater in the cabin began to boil.

At this moment, the two groups that were still approaching the small motorboat dock on the water had met up. They landed on flat ground, and Finnegan looked Scarlett and her three companions up and down, nodded to them, and did not ask any questions.

There's no point in asking now; they need to leave quickly.

Just as they were moving, Cui Lin cried out in alarm, pointing at the water and shouting, "Look! The water is... it's boiling! What's going on?!"

Everyone was stunned and looked over at the same time.

Sure enough, the water was boiling, and countless steam rose up, filling the entire cabin.

The surrounding temperature began to rise sharply, and Finnegan and the others could clearly feel the heat.

Finnigan stared intently at the water, his brow furrowing as he realized something was wrong.

The water level is dropping.

This shouldn't be the case.

The cruise ship has been damaged by the giant monster; it's only a matter of time before it floods and sinks.

But what's going on now? The water level is dropping.
Could it be related to this inexplicable evaporation?
If the evaporation rate is greater than the water intake rate, how hot must the bottom of the ship be for such an absurd thing to happen?

Just as Finnigan and his companions were both surprised and puzzled, the "Candle Dragon" underwater continued to exert its power.

The dozen or so enormous fireballs scorched everything around them and continued to roll.

As the giant fireball rolled, it transformed into heads, which opened their mouths and spewed out viscous flames like magma.

Even at the bottom of the ship, the flames showed no sign of going out, continuing to scorch the seawater inside the cruise ship.

At this point, anyone who went into the water would probably be boiled alive.

The giant octopus that had been hiding in the water, being a servant of some Great Old One from the Cthulhu Mythos, wouldn't die so easily in the boiling sea.

Lin Bei naturally knew this.

He wasn't in a hurry, and just watched as the viscous flames gradually gathered together, eventually forming a huge fire dragon that coiled around him.

Lin Bei raised his hand and gently stroked the top of the fire dragon's head, saying calmly, "Go, turn that annoying guy into a grilled octopus."

The fire dragon roared, and the sea level in the cabin dropped even further. Since the fire dragon's form was flame, it was the perfect opportunity for it to catch the giant octopus.

As the giant fire dragon plunged into the pipe and sped away into the distance, the water level finally dropped to reveal Lin Bei's figure.

The others, who were standing on the high platform, gasped in astonishment upon seeing this scene.

Finnigan, sprawled on the next step, stared at Lin Bei in shock: "Hey, what's going on? What did you do? Did you make all the seawater evaporate? My God, how did you do that! Are you... are you human? Or are you actually part of the monsters?"

Lin Bei sensed that "Candle Dragon" was about to catch up with the giant octopus, so he leaped up and easily jumped onto the platform.

Looking around and not seeing Constantine, Lin Bei was pleased that his little brother was extremely obedient.

He glanced at Finnegan and his group indifferently, shrugged, and said nonchalantly, "So what if I did it? If you're too busy trying to escape, go ahead. Small motorboats are fine. I hope you can get off this cruise ship alive."

Lin Bei knew the original ending, but he didn't tell them.

In the original storyline, the three main characters did escape the cruise ship, but they drifted to a secluded island.

There seemed to be other huge monsters on that island; it looked dangerous and unsafe.

Lin Bei's attitude wasn't very good; Papillon had long been fed up with Lin Bei.

Now that they have a new person who can lead them away from danger, Papillon no longer has to endure Lin Bei's contempt.

Papillon scoffed, "Yeah, we're busy escaping for our lives, while you're busy with other things. I don't know what you're busy with. At first, nothing happened when we got back to Central Park, but now we're forced to flee for our lives on the ocean. If it weren't for you, we might already be back in Central Park!"

Before he could finish speaking, Lin Bei gave him a cold glance, and the next second a stream of black liquid flew out, slamming Papilong heavily against the wall.

Papillon groaned and coughed up a mouthful of blood.

Papillon was breathing heavily but taking in little air, and was easily injured by Lin Bei.

This was even with Lin Bei holding back all his strength.

Otherwise, he feared that Papillon would really become a meat pie.

Lin Bei's sudden attack caught everyone off guard.

After Papillon fell to the ground, Finnigan raised his gun, pointed it at Lin Bei, and demanded sharply, "What are you doing! Why did you hurt your comrade?"

As Lin Bei looked at Finnigan, Cui Lin stepped in front of the gun. Her sharp gaze swept over Finnigan before turning to Lin Bei: "Sorry, we have no intention of interfering in your affairs. May we leave now? This cruise ship is about to sink."

Cui Lin said that because she could tell Lin Bei was not someone to be trifled with. (End of Chapter)
