At this moment, Kurt was still jumping around and roaring in place, causing the little girl on his shoulder to roll off.
He couldn't see anything when he looked at his own shoulder; he could only observe where the little girl in the red dress had climbed through the mirror.
Blood was still gushing from the two black holes in the little girl's face. She crawled all over Kurt with her hands and feet, her childish yet chilling laughter echoing in the cabin.
Kurt jumped around in the room, and the other four screamed and scattered.
Constantine approached Kurt, grabbed him by the back of the neck, and pinned him to the spot.
Kurt was a full 1.9 meters tall, clearly a head taller and stronger than Constantine who was 1.8 meters tall, yet he was so easily pinned down by Constantine with one hand, without even the strength to instinctively struggle or resist.
Kurt, his face ashen, cried out, "Hey, what are you doing! Can't you see this weird thing on me? Let me go! Oh my god, it's climbing onto my face!"
In the mirror, the little girl in the red dress giggled and nimbly climbed all over Kurt. Just as Kurt had said, the little girl had climbed onto Kurt's neck, hugging his neck and climbing up, her face half close to Kurt's. The blood flowing from the dark hole dripped into Kurt's mouth.
The scene in the mirror was so disgusting that the other four people groaned.
Lin Bei frowned slightly, somewhat disdainfully: "Hurry up, Constantine."
Constantine scoffed, grabbed Kurt with one hand, took the cigarette from his mouth with the other, and blew a puff of white smoke into Kurt's face.
Just as the white smoke enveloped Kurt's face, the figure of the little girl in the dress suddenly appeared before everyone's eyes.
The little girl was clearly not expected that someone could make her visible; she screamed and instinctively tried to run away.
Constantine shoved the cigarette back into his mouth, swiftly reached out, grabbed the little girl by the neck, and ripped her off Kurt's face.
The little girl let out a shrill scream, flailing her arms and legs trying to break free from Constantine's grasp. She also tried to grab Constantine's wrist, but the instant her little hand touched Constantine's wrist, a scarlet lightning bolt burst from Constantine's wrist and struck the little girl heavily.
The little girl immediately started crying in pain, her cries echoing in the cabin and causing everyone's eardrums to ache.
Constantine released Kurt, reached into his pocket, pulled out something, and punched the little girl in the face.
The next second, the little girl's crying stopped abruptly. She tilted her head and stared straight at Constantine, a look of resentment flashing across her face, but she couldn't even utter a word before turning into a wisp of black smoke and disappearing into the air.
Constantine waved his hand and looked at Lin Bei with a grin: "Hey Lin Bei, see? This thing is pretty useful."
Lin Bei looked up and saw that Constantine was wearing a finger guard with a cross engraved on it.
He shrugged: "Physical exorcism, you're something else."
The others had no idea what was going on and stood there dumbfounded, looking at Kurt and then at Constantine.
Julie snapped out of her daze, pressed herself against Constantine, and hugged his waist sweetly, saying, "Oh my god, that was terrifying. Thank goodness you were here, otherwise I really can't imagine what we would have gone through."
Kurt rubbed his neck and returned to their side. He frowned at Julie, wanting her to get off Constantine. But Constantine was his savior, and he didn't dare offend him, so he could only say, somewhat resentfully, "Julie! Watch your manners!"
Julie rolled her eyes at him and ignored him.
Diana and the other two walked over to them with suspicion. Diana looked at Lin Bei and Constantine, and hesitated for a moment: "Hey, although I don't know what that was just now, you two don't seem to be lost. You wouldn't happen to be... exorcists, would you?"
Lin Bei snapped his fingers: "Just consider us exorcists. We were indeed attracted here by the strange aura. In short, you'd better listen to me tonight, or you'll die and I won't collect your corpses."
Lin Bei's quick response gave off an unreal feeling, and the others exchanged glances, all showing expressions of doubt.
Apart from the two girls.
They accepted the fact that Lin Bei and Constantine were exorcists and obediently stayed in the living room of the cabin.
at the same time.
A frustrated voice came from the underground human organization.
Anna and her male colleague exchanged a glance in front of the monitor, both seeing helplessness on each other's faces.
Anna slammed her hand on the table, her face full of displeasure: "See? I told you those two were suspicious! They're exorcists! What should we do now? Should we report this to our superiors? Otherwise, our sacrifice plan might be affected!"
The male colleague put down his potato chips with a frustrated look: "We're so unlucky. Why did this happen when it was our turn? Okay, I'll call my boss. You keep an eye on the screen and give them a little something extra."
As he spoke, the male colleague picked up the phone on the table and dialed the internal line.
Just as her male colleague was reporting the situation to his superior, Anna frowned as she looked at Lin Bei and Constantine on the screen. After thinking for a moment, she pressed one of the buttons on the table marked with a wolf's head.
Immediately, a "clattering" sound of machinery came from the forest, and a cage rose from the ground. The cage was opened, and a hunched figure crawled out of it, let out a roar, and ran towards the cabin on all fours.
At the same time, Lin Bei, who was sitting in the living room drinking coffee, suddenly turned serious and slowly put the coffee back on the coffee table.
Constantine, who was flirting with Julie, immediately noticed Lin Bei's odd behavior. He glanced at Lin Bei lazily and asked, "Is something going on again?"
Lin Bei nodded slightly, stood up and walked towards the door: "Well, if you can't handle this, I will."
The others all looked at Lin Bei, especially Diana, who chased after him worriedly: "Mr. Lin Bei, wouldn't it be better if we didn't go out? Didn't you say it was dangerous outside? If we all stay inside, you don't have to risk protecting us."
Lin Bei paused, then sneered, "You've got it wrong. We're not here to protect you. I want to see what other tricks the administrators of this area have up their sleeves. Now get back to Constantine and don't get in my way."
After saying that, Lin Bei strode out of the house.
Lin Bei's attitude was very bad, and it also carried a kind of arrogance of a superior. The other three boys were very unhappy to hear this. Kurt and Holden exchanged a glance, curled their lips, and whispered, "What's with the arrogance? Maybe there's nothing outside at all."
Constantine stood up with Julie in his arms, led her to the door, and said lazily, "Since you don't believe me, come and see for yourself, and I'll show you what absolute power is."
The others looked at each other, feeling annoyed but unable to suppress their curiosity, and went to the window to look outside.
At this moment, Lin Bei had arrived outside the cabin. The bright moon hung high in the sky, illuminating part of the forest.
Lin Bei put one hand in his pocket and looked calmly at the darkness not far ahead.
Diana peered through the window sill, and after a short while, her face turned deathly pale. She cried out in alarm and covered her mouth: "My God, there, there's a pair of eyes!"
Kurt and the others were taken aback and looked over.
Not far in front of Lin Bei, in the darkness, a pair of eerie green eyes floated in mid-air.
Lin Bei silently curled his lips, watching those eyes slowly approach before saying calmly, "Werewolf, hmm, compared to ordinary people, this one is indeed a bit troublesome."
That's what it says.
As the huge, hunched figure gradually walked into the moonlight, everyone in the cabin gasped.
This werewolf is way too big. Just by standing on all fours, he's two sizes bigger than Lin Bei.
Diana was extremely worried: "Oh my god, werewolves! There really are werewolves in the world! Will Lin Bei be in danger?!"
Martin was a little jealous. He scoffed, "Why worry so much? He was the one who wanted to go out. Just watch quietly."
Constantine chuckled lazily, "Yes, just watch, it'll be over soon."
While they were whispering amongst themselves, Lin Bei thought for a moment and then snapped his fingers.
"The divine edge has no shadow."
As soon as he finished speaking, countless white blades composed of white light appeared under the bright moonlight.
Under the moonlight, the white blades emitted a shimmering white light, and several blades spun rapidly, the "whoosh" sound of them cutting through the air echoing through the forest.
The werewolf seemed to sense the danger and decided to strike first. He lowered his body to lock onto Lin Bei, then roared and leaped high into the air, pouncing towards Lin Bei.
The werewolf was full of imposing presence; judging by its stance, it was 100% certain to hit Lin Bei.
Inside the cabin, Dana and Julie instinctively covered their eyes, unable to bear the horrific scene that was about to unfold.
However, the next second, the werewolf let out a shrill scream.
When everyone looked again, they found that the werewolf was still in mid-air, but countless white blades pierced through it and flew into the darkness of the forest.
Amidst the crashing of countless trees, the werewolf screamed as it plummeted from the sky, shattering into pieces the moment it hit the ground.
Thick, foul-smelling blood splattered all over the ground; the werewolf was completely dead, with no chance of ever getting up again.
Lin Bei took a half-step back in disgust, avoiding the flowing blood.
He looked around, seemed to have found something, smiled slightly in that direction, waved, and then turned and went back to the cabin.
Everyone in the cabin was speechless with shock after witnessing Lin Bei's abilities.
When Lin Bei arrived, they instinctively made way for him. It wasn't until Lin Bei sat back down on the single sofa and picked up his coffee that everyone snapped out of their shock.
After the door closed, everyone rushed to Lin Bei's side. Diana knelt down beside Lin Bei excitedly: "Oh my god, what is that? Lin Bei, do you know magic? That doesn't seem like something that can be explained by science. Don't you think it's Horden!"
Holden is the smartest of the five, and he is also arrogant because of his intelligence. His research focuses on scientific experiments, and he looks a little embarrassed when Diana suddenly asks him about it.
Holden didn't want to admit that there were things in the world that couldn't be explained by science.
But faced with the facts, he didn't want to deny his faith and simply remained silent.
Diana didn't care whether Holden would react or not; she praised Lin Bei in amazement, almost showering him with compliments.
Lin Bei actually enjoyed being treated like a god by humans. He listened to Diana's words with a smile, looking forward to what kind of monster would attack the cabin next.
at the same time.
In the underground human organization, the male colleague and Anna watched silently as the werewolf was instantly killed, then turned to look at their superior standing behind them.
Anna shrugged: "See? You didn't believe me. I told you these two would ruin our plans."
The superior stared intently at Lin Bei, who was drinking coffee on the screen, with a grave expression.
Putting aside the fact that he easily killed the werewolf, his gesture of smiling and waving at the camera just now was enough to prove that Lin Bei knew about their organization's existence.
This man named Lin Bei must have come to their area on purpose.
What are they trying to do? Surely they're not really here to stop them from sealing the evil god?
You must understand that if their region fails to offer a sacrifice, the entire world will be destroyed by the awakened evil god.
Besides, they've been sealing evil gods from all over the world for over a hundred years without ever making a mistake. It's impossible that they'll fail this time.
That's just too embarrassing.
Seeing that his superior remained silent, the male colleague glanced at the cozy scene in the cabin on the screen and slowly said, "Sir, my suggestion is not to let them die one by one. In the current situation, it's impossible to do so. It would be better to release five or six monsters at once and kill everyone in the cabin."
Anna disagreed: "Hey, get this straight, releasing them is fine, but what about bringing them back? You forgot what happened in the next area last year, and ten people died when they tried to retrieve the monsters."
The male colleague shrugged: "Well, you saw it too. The werewolf who kills one person every year was easily taken down by that man. The main problem is, we don't know what that man used. Magic? Or high technology? Who knows?"
The superior rubbed his temples: "Alright, stop arguing. Let's compromise. Release three monsters directly into the cabin. Our organization really can't afford any more casualties."
The male colleague nodded with a grin, then slapped three buttons on the table.
A faint tremor came from the basement of the cabin, and then three completely different figures appeared in the dark basement.
The three figures walked in three different directions, one of them merging into the wall and disappearing from the spot.
The people in the cabin were unaware of the impending danger; they were surrounding Lin Bei, looking at him with adoration.
Lin Bei answered their questions casually, then suddenly paused in his coffee-drinking motion and glanced at Constantine.
Before Lin Bei could even speak, Constantine sighed resignedly, pushed Julie away from his arms, and stood up: "Where is it now?"
Lin Bei continued drinking his coffee: "Inside the room."
This cryptic conversation left the other five looking bewildered. Constantine lowered his head and lit a cigarette: "Alright, all of you stay in the living room and don't wander around."
After saying that, he turned and walked towards the kitchen.
Lin Bei also stood up.
He stretched his shoulders, raised his hand, and released the power of the Shadow King.
Black liquid gushed out from beneath his feet, instantly covering the entire living room.
Diana and the others jumped onto the sofa with screams, staring in astonishment at the writhing black liquid: "My God, what is this? Lin Bei, how many more surprises do you have in store for us!"
Lin Bei was too lazy to talk to them and looked up towards the basement.
Just then, strange noises began to emanate from inside the cabin. (End of Chapter)
