Chapter 77, 76 Flying White

Chapter 77, Section 76: Flying White (Part Six)

A wave of nausea washed over him, and he felt dizzy, as if he were drunk… He saw Wang Liuer slowly turn her head in front of the bookshelf. The smile on her lips was no longer gentle; it was full of coldness and hatred. She walked towards him through the golden sunlight, her hands hidden behind her back… then they were revealed, and the sharp blade gleamed blindingly!

Xu Feng felt a sudden chill run through his body. Before his strength completely dissipated, he shouted towards the door, "Swim—"

The words had barely escaped his lips when Wang Liuer strangled him back with a rope. She had seen people slaughter pigs before; they used the same method—strangling him half to death first, then stabbing him repeatedly!

Xu Feng's head was throbbing with blood from being strangled, his eyes bulging as if about to pop out. He looked helplessly at Wang Liuer, his eyes filled with hatred and fear, but also a hint of confusion.

Wang Liuer gripped the hemp rope, wishing she could strangle him: "You've done so many evil deeds, and you don't even know why you're dying?!"

Xu Feng's face turned from red to purple and then black. His yellowish pupils reflected Wang Liuer's fierce face. The hemp rope around his neck dug into his flesh, choking him so much that he couldn't utter a single groan. With his last bit of strength, he collapsed onto the table, his massive body shaking the tea set to scatter across the floor, the sound of shattering porcelain sharp and piercing.

You Ming, standing outside the door, frowned: "What's that sound?"

Zhao Zhao had a small mountain of sunflower seed shells piled up beside her, and said casually, "I don't know, shall we go take a look?"

Logically speaking, since there was a man and a woman alone in the house, You Ming shouldn't have gone to look, but he had a vague feeling that something was wrong, and after hesitating for a long time, he decided to go over anyway.

The moment his bottom left the stool, a sharp whooshing sound came from behind him. Before You Ming could turn around, he was hit squarely by that hard object.

His vision blurred and he steadied himself, turning around to see blood dripping from the small stool in Zhao Zhao's hand. He roared, "You little bitch!"

You Ming couldn't care less about Xu Feng inside the house. He wanted to rush up and grab Zhao Zhao first, but a man had appeared behind Zhao Zhao at some point, holding a wood-chopping knife and staring intently at him: "Lord You, it's been a long time."

Upon seeing Shi Gang, You Ming felt a chill run down his spine. He and Xu Feng were trapped in a deadly situation!

Before You Ming could think it through, Shi Gang had already rushed up with his knife, the blade aimed straight at his forehead.

He had just been hit on the head by Zhao Zhao and couldn't dodge in time, so he had to raise his hand to block. Shi Gang almost cut off his hand with a knife.

Hot, blood splattered onto his face. Through a red mist, You Ming heard Shi Gang sneer, "When you chopped off my fingers, why weren't you this scared?!"

You Ming was terrified, utterly terrified. Shi Gang had suffered terribly working under him before. No wonder Shi Gang had betrayed him and fled with his group of forest and stone households—it was because he hated him to the core!

Several more blades flashed down, and You Ming hurriedly dodged, using whatever was at hand to block. Suddenly, a muffled scream came from inside the house—it was Xu Feng!

A head peeked out from the narrow alleyway. The servant who had come in to deliver the message turned pale upon seeing this scene, and pointed a trembling finger at it: "Lord You, you..."

While busy dodging the knife, You Ming felt a chill in his heart. It was true that Shi Gang wanted to kill him, but if something happened to Xu Feng, how could he get away with it?

The servant ran out shouting that his master had been murdered, and Shi Gang drew his knife and went to catch him.

You Ming caught his breath and rushed to the door, wanting to save Xu Feng, but the door was heavily bolted. Suddenly, two more burning pains shot through his back. He turned around, and it wasn't Shi Gang holding the knife anymore, but Zhao Zhao. Holding the blood-dripping knife, she smiled and asked, "Lord You, do you remember something you said?"

With nowhere to retreat, You Ming's blood-soaked back pressed against the door, staining the wooden door red: "...What did you say?"

“You know, it would be a real problem if the people in the painting came out.”

It was only then that You Ming realized that the frail little girl in front of him did not have the eyes of a child; her cat-like eyes were a blank blackness, cold and devoid of any human warmth.

It was hatred, a deep, intense hatred.

She really knows how to kill! The knife came slashing down, and You Ming rolled on the ground. A long gash stretched from his neck to his right cheek, and blood gushed out. He didn't bother to cover his wound and fled like a dead dog.

Severely wounded, he tried to escape, but couldn't dodge Zhao Zhao's knife. She stabbed him again and again, leaving You Ming covered in blood. In despair, he pleaded with Zhao Zhao, "I was wrong before. I was blind. I'll let you return to your ancestral home. Please spare me..."

"Do you acknowledge me, and do I acknowledge you?" Zhao Zhao looked at him and smiled gently: "You foolish woman who was used and then discarded by you, her daughter is coming to kill you."

Unfortunately, the situation was urgent, and there was no time for a leisurely kill. Zhao Zhao raised the knife in her hand and stabbed it at You Ming's heart. You Ming raised his hand to protect his heart, and the sound of the knife cutting through flesh and bone was sharp and pleasant. His hand flew high into the air and landed on the ground with a thud.

You Ming stared at the severed arm, seemingly unable to comprehend what it was. However, the jade ring on the thumb shone brightly in the blazing sun. He looked down in disbelief, his arm empty, with only a piece of bone splinter that he could lift: "...My hand!" He rolled on the ground in pain, curling up like a shrimp.

Zhao Zhao kicked away the severed arm, making a move to finish him off. Just then, a series of rapid footsteps echoed down the path; someone had entered!

Shi Gang rushed in, carrying a blood-stained knife, and before he could say anything else to Zhao Zhao, he shouted, "Run!"

The situation was critical, so Zhao Zhao stopped worrying about You Ming. He couldn't escape responsibility for what had happened, and someone would kill him.

Shi Gang grabbed Zhao Zhao and rushed to the tightly closed door of the main room, shouting urgently, "Liu'er, let's go!"

With a thud, the door was pushed open, revealing Xu Feng's sinister face. He was not dead, but Wang Liuer, who should have killed him, was lying on the ground, covered in blood and on the verge of death.

Xu Feng raised his short, stubby fingers and pointed at Zhao Zhao and Shi Gang: "I'm going to skin you alive!"

Before the servants could even squeeze in, he dared to say such a thing. Shi Gang rushed forward and slashed him twice in the face with his elbow. They fought fiercely, and Zhao Zhao, unable to help, ran to check on Wang Liuer's injuries on the ground.

Her head was covered in blood! Women can never beat men. As Xu Feng lay dying, he broke free from her and slammed her head heavily onto the table.

"Sister Liu'er!" Zhao Zhao patted her unconscious face and shouted, "Wake up!"

Wang Liuer weakly opened her eyes, as if in a final burst of energy before death. As soon as she spoke, blood gushed from her mouth: "Quick, go...quick, go..."

The outside is completely blocked; there's no way out.
