Chapter 383 April's Choice
Chapter 383 April's Choice
"You are not reporters, who are you?!" April held the gun in both hands and faced the two people with a trembling voice.
The female reporter tried hard to appear strong, but the shaking muzzle of the gun betrayed her.
"It seems that you are still scared." Mr. Smith, who was sitting on the bluestone, shook his head and walked over.
"I'll shoot!" April threatened loudly, but she still didn't have the courage to pull the trigger until the man's hand grasped the gun handle.
"Don't try this kind of thing lightly, you will hurt yourself." The man casually removed the magazine from the pistol and put it aside. Not surprisingly, there were no bullets in it.
April panted nervously, her chest rising and falling with each breath. She forced herself to calm down. "Will you kill me?"
"Of course not, we don't need to do that." The mysterious Miss Christine walked around behind the female reporter and pressed her shoulders to make her sit down again.
"Are you spies? From China? From the Soviet Union?"
"Neither." The man handed over a cup of hot coffee, put away the gun again and looked into the girl's eyes. "Want to hear a story?"
April nodded subconsciously.
"I once served the British government. Perhaps you have heard of me..."
April's eyes slowly widened.
After half an hour.
"So we are just a group of people wandering outside and keeping each other warm." He Chi drank the last bit of drink in the cup and ended the story.
April hadn't recovered from her shock yet.
"Why are you telling me this?" The female reporter unconsciously changed the address to "you".
"Because of these." He Chi held up the things in his hand, which were a notebook and several photos he had found in the girl's backpack. Those were clues about the US military's use of biological weapons, including some about Shiro Ishii himself.
"I don't know how you master these things, but since you are here, it means you have your own integrity and conscience. I am willing to show you kindness."
He Chi continued, "I have an opportunity here that can make you famous, or it can bring you down to earth. It's up to you to choose."
After saying that, He Chi handed April a thick book and dozens of photos.
The female reporter took the information and photos and began to look through them. As she turned the pages, the expression on her face became increasingly ugly, and finally turned pale.
"God! How could this happen! Ugh~uh~~~"
After seeing the last few photos of the live experiments, April finally couldn't hold on any longer and vomited while holding onto the wall.
"These are the biological weapons that Japan once developed. Now they have fallen into the hands of the Americans. As for whether they will be used on this land, it depends on your choice."
He Chi pointed to the jeep in the distance and said, "We will leave in five minutes. It's up to you whether you want to follow us or not."
With a click, the door of the jeep was closed, He Chi jumped into the driver's seat, and Christine was already waiting there.
"Have you told her everything?"
"Well, the rest depends on her choice."
Christine lit a lady's cigarette, the flame flickered in the dim environment. The French girl exhaled a puff of smoke and asked softly, "Why did you change your mind? Didn't you decide that I would do it at the beginning?" He Chi did not take the cigarette handed over by the girl, but just replied in a low voice, "From our point of view, it is also a revelation. The effect of a female American reporter coming forward is always better than the effect of you putting on makeup and blending in."
"And for that little girl, this is also an opportunity..."
He Chi leaned back in his chair, looked into the distance and said softly, "An opportunity to carry out the justice in my heart."
Five minutes passed quickly, and only the last cigarette butt was left on Christine's cigarette, and the surroundings were still silent.
"It looks like you're going to be disappointed." Christine put out the cigarette in her hand.
"Maybe. Not everyone is as courageous as you were back then." He Chi shook his head helplessly.
But at this moment, the back door of the jeep was opened with a click, and Miss April plucked up the courage to sit in.

In Seoul, the already heavily guarded airport has added more guard posts.
The commander-in-chief of the Allied Forces, General MacArthur, a five-star general of the United States, gave up his days as the emperor in Tokyo and flew from Japan to comfort the soldiers who could not return to their hometowns to celebrate Christmas.
At the routine reception, hundreds of reporters from all over the world set up their cameras and equipment and stood ready.
The five-star general was sitting behind a table piled with microphones, facing the crowd below with his chin slightly raised. Because he was wearing sunglasses, no one knew where he was looking.
The general looked so majestic that it was hard to tell that his troops were in trouble.
"Gentlemen, the general has just flown in from Japan and is still very tired. He can only answer no more than five questions today." The organizer spoke first.
The arms rose again like a forest of trees.
"General, this is Le Monde. The Chinese Volunteer Army has officially intervened in the battlefield on the peninsula. Can you evaluate the current situation?"
MacArthur slowly took the corncob pipe out of his mouth and said in a positive tone:
"Although there have been some changes on the battlefield, the situation is still firmly under our control, and the coalition forces will eventually achieve their intended goals."
The next questioner was a British man. "General, General Walker was unfortunately killed in the suburbs of Seoul a few days ago. Do you have any inside information? Is this related to some kind of political struggle?"
"No, it was just a regrettable traffic accident that neither I nor our allies wanted to happen."
"But someone reportedly found a suspicious bullet casing at the scene."
"I said it was an accident. Next one." MacArthur pointed to the other side.
Soon a bearded man stood up.
"General, I'm a reporter from Pravda. Regarding the fully anticipated goal you mentioned earlier, does it also include the promise to the soldiers to end the fighting before Christmas?"
MacArthur was obviously prepared for this question. "This is war. There will always be unexpected things happening. Although our soldiers cannot go home, the coalition forces will use all means to ensure that they have a happy Christmas. This is also the main purpose of my presence in Seoul today."
"How will you fulfill your promise? After all, the Chinese army's attack line is not very far from here." The other party obviously did not intend to give up easily.
"Use all means! We will use all the means at our disposal." Mark Arthur waved his fist as he spoke.
"Excuse me, General." A young female voice suddenly broke in, violating the rules.
"Does the "all means" you mentioned also include biological weapons?"
