Chapter 951 She Has the Right to Be Angry

The servant quickly prepared the midnight snack. Shen Youran ate while Xiao Cheng followed Ji Jinchuan to the balcony. After she finished her noodles, the two of them finished their discussion.

After Xiao Cheng left, Shen Youran and Ji Jinchuan returned to their room. When they reached the bedroom, they happened to see Aunt Sun coming out of Fang Yaqing's room, and they stopped in their tracks.

Aunt Sun approached, and Shen Youran asked, "How is she?"

Aunt Sun replied, "She refused to say a word."

Shen Youran glanced at Ji Jinchuan, only to see the man pursed his lips. She then looked at Aunt Sun and said, "Go down."

Aunt Sun responded and retreated.

"I'll go see her." Shen Youran said softly, then walked towards the guest room.

Arriving outside the guest room, she raised her hand and knocked on the door, but no one answered. She knocked twice in a row, but there was still no response.

If she hadn't seen Aunt Sun coming out of the room just now, she would have suspected that Fang Yaqing had not returned to her room.

She grasped the door handle and turned it gently. The door opened and she walked in. There was no one in the room. A crisp sound came from the bathroom and she quickly walked into the bathroom.

Fang Yaqing stood in front of the mirror. On the floor at her feet were bottles and jars of skin care products, toothbrushes and the like, making a mess.

Shen Youran stared at her blankly, and after a moment she called out softly, "Yaqing..."

Fang Yaqing turned around when she heard the voice. Her face was as pale as paper, her eyes were red and swollen, her messy hair was soaked with tears and stuck to her face, and there were obvious marks of being pinched on her neck.

She spoke in a hoarse voice, with a decadent look in her eyes, and a dead silence after despair, "Fortunately you are okay, otherwise I'm afraid my life wouldn't be enough to pay for it."

Shen Youran knew that she was blaming Ji Jinchuan for exchanging her for her. She took two steps forward and said, "Don't say that. Your eldest brother had no other choice, so he just..."

Fang Yaqing's self-deprecating laughter interrupted her words. "I am destined to be abandoned in this life."

Fang Yaqing's frail body seemed to weaken as she laughed desolately. She supported herself on the washstand with both hands, tightening them inch by inch and digging them into her palms to maintain her composure.

Shen Youran could feel the grief radiating from her inside out. He stared at her silently. After a moment, he slowly opened his mouth and said, "I know you feel wronged. This kind of thing will never happen again. You can stay here with peace of mind."

Fang Yaqing raised her hand to wipe away the tears on her face: "I don't feel wronged. It was because of my sister-in-law that she was taken away, so it's only right that I be used in exchange."

Shen Youran didn't want to explore how sincere these words were.

She didn't know how to persuade Fang Yaqing, so she silently went forward to pick up the things on the ground, put them on the washstand, and then looked at her: "You should have a good rest."

Back in the bedroom, Ji Jinchuan stood in front of the window, holding a cigarette between two fingers, the cigarette butt flickering.

Seeing her come back, the man took the last puff of his cigarette and pressed the butt into the ashtray.

She walked over and said in a low voice: "She must be unhappy in her heart, but she has been holding it in."

Ji Jinchuan's face was silent, he pursed his lips and said nothing.

"She has the right to be angry." Shen Youran's quiet little face was fair and smooth under the light, and each of her slightly curled eyelashes was clearly visible.

Ji Jinchuan's white shirt had three buttons open, revealing his honey-colored chest, casual yet sexy. His voice was slightly hoarse from smoking a cigarette: "Both of you are fine. This is my ultimate goal."

"I know." Seeing Fang Yaqing's look just now, Shen Youran suddenly felt relieved. She shouldn't care so much. The fact that Ji Jinchuan was willing to exchange Fang Yaqing for her already explained everything.
