Chapter 364

Blood was still flowing from the corner of Yu Dibei's eye.

His eyelids kept twitching.

But its eyes remained closed for a long time.

The little yellow dog was not disappointed at all; instead, it stuck out its tongue, grinned, and laughed even more happily.

Because the more unwilling Yu Dibei is to open his eyes, the more it proves:
Its true owner has returned!

In its mind, its master, no matter what setbacks he encounters or what injuries he suffers, will open his eyes, stand up, and continue fighting in the next moment.

This time is no different.

Death could not prevent his master from waking up again.

For the rest of his life—no, for the rest of his memories—he dedicated himself to this matter.

The little yellow dog stretched out its paw and rubbed it against Yu Dibei's hand.

This is a habit I developed with my owner when I was just a puppy and had only been with them for a short time.

The owner would hold its paw with one hand and then reach out with the other hand to stroke the fur under their own neck.

The little yellow dog noticed that as it stroked Yu Dibei's hand, the veins on the back of his hand bulged out.

"Only the blood of the Yu family can pave the way for our master's return."

Blood from Yu Dibei's eyes gathered at his chin and dripped onto his body.

The little yellow dog lowered its head and licked it.

"Only those selected from the Yu family under the most stringent conditions are worthy of becoming the master's new physical body."

Yuanbao sealed the gate for sixty years, searching for such a child from the Yu family.

Fortunately, the gold ingot was finally found by its owner.

Yuanbao is very satisfied with this child.

He looks a lot like you when you were little, Master. I believe you will be very satisfied.

Yu Tiannan's mangled body continued to crack, eventually turning into sand-like matter and merging into the pool of blood.

The decaying past has ended, and a brand new beginning has arrived.

"The master liked to mutter to himself by the campfire at night."

Back then, I liked to lie down at my owner's feet, and even when I was very sleepy, I would keep my eyes open and stay with him.

The owner patted Yuanbao's head many times, laughing at how attentively Yuanbao was listening, wondering if he really understood.

Yuanbao is a dog, stupid, he doesn't understand.

But Yuanbao remembered everything his master said.

Later, Yuanbao repeatedly pondered those memories and finally understood.

Only by destroying the Yu family, letting them cause trouble, letting them go mad, and letting them overturn the heavens and earth, can the river water be attracted.

Owner,

Yuanbao really succeeded.

The little yellow dog turned its head to the side again, wanting to check if Yu Dibei's eyes were open.

The twitching of my eyelids was more intense than before.

An invisible pressure was gathering here.

"The calamity aura above Dragon King Yu's head was all infused into Dragon King Ming by me."

Therefore, when the owner wakes up, there is no need to worry too much about cause and effect.

So many ancient beings still live in this world, why can't there be one more master like you?
The chaos in the Yu family was the first gift Yuanbao gave to its master after he awoke.

The master can gain a great deal of merit by suppressing the disasters of the Yu family, thus completely clearing his name and eliminating any future worries.

Just then, Di Ting returned, carrying Ming Yu Wan in its mouth.

Ming Yuwan was not dead, but her face was extremely pale and she was unconscious.

Di Ting opened its mouth, letting Ming Yuwan fall into the pool of blood. She sank down first, and then quickly floated up again.

"At that time, if the master is willing, he can continue to use her as a cover and take her along the river. With the master's strength, he can definitely become the Dragon King who is real but not real."

Of course, if the master finds it troublesome, he can kill her now to prevent her and the Dragon King from taking away the merits when the master suppresses the Yu family's rebellion.

After all, with the master's strength after awakening, he was already powerful enough to dominate the martial world.

The oppressive aura emanating from Yu Dibei grew heavier and heavier, and ripples spread out in concentric circles around him on the pool of blood.

The little yellow dog lay down on Yu Dibei's knees, constantly adjusting its position to make itself more comfortable, and nuzzled its head against Yu Dibei's chest.

Yu Dibei kept his head down, and with the little yellow dog lying there, his face could be clearly seen.

The little yellow dog will stop at nothing to bring its master back to life.

In its eyes, there was only its master, not the Yu family.

Only by destroying the Yu family could the conditions for resurrecting its master be created, so it destroyed the Yu family without hesitation.

It awaited the moment its master awoke, longing to meet its master's gaze once more.

Even if its owner were to snap its neck, obliterate its body, and erase all traces of its existence in the next moment, it would still be willing.

It only longs for its beloved master to return.

"Master, open your eyes quickly! Kill Yuanbao to gain merit!"

Suddenly, even more piercing and shrill howls, more intense than before, echoed from various parts of the Yu family's ancestral home.

The evil spirits that emerged from the sealed land immediately joined forces in perfect unison to do something.

Different auras, different eeriness, began to converge on the Yu Family Ancestral Hall.

The array inside the Yu family ancestral hall was stimulated and activated on its own, but it still could not withstand such terrible pressure and quickly became riddled with holes.

Marks appeared on Yu Dibei's forehead.

They know who their real threat is, so they are now collectively sealing off the northern part of Yu.

Di Ting, standing nearby, couldn't help but roar in anger. It knew that the little yellow dog desperately wanted the man in front of it to open his eyes, but these guys were ruining that process.

The seal has been applied.

The blood from Yu Dibei's eyes stopped flowing, the veins on the back of his hand returned to normal, and the invisible pressure that had just gathered was now completely gone.

Countless hissing and snarling sounds echoed throughout the Yu family's ancestral home.

Then, one figure after another began to move towards the gate of the Yu family's ancestral home.

Next, once they leave this place, it will be the same as returning to the human world.

The pain and torment endured over countless years needed to be released, and the emptiness caused by the relentless grinding of time needed to be filled with fresh nourishment.

They want to feast, they want revenge, they want to prove their existence again with a sky full of blood and wails.

"Wang Wang Wang!"

Di Ting kept barking until the little yellow dog that had stepped down from Yu Di Bei's arms beckoned to it.

Di Ting immediately shut up, lowered its head, and the little yellow dog sat on Di Ting's head.

"Don't worry, as long as the master is willing to awaken, these seals can't stop him at all."

In the master's eyes, it was an extremely shameful thing for a dragon king to awaken after death.

but,

Owner,

"If you don't open your eyes and wake up soon, once they break through the gates of the Yu family ancestral home, this catastrophe will be completely unavoidable."

The little yellow dog patted Di Ting's head, and Di Ting ran out of the council hall, then leaped into the air and arrived outside the ancestral hall.

The flies, large and small, that had been circling around the ancestral hall disappeared long ago after sensing the sudden rise of evil spirits.

The old guys who stormed into the Yu family thought that once they had slaughtered the Yu family's demonic beasts, they could comfortably divide up the Yu family's wealth.

In fact, no matter how much the demonic beasts of the Yu family pretended to be human, they were far from being a match for these old guys who came from the orthodox Jianghu.

It was precisely because the monsters lost so quickly that the old folks relaxed early on, treating the remaining tasks as a round of land grabbing, and incidentally using underhanded tactics to eliminate the young talents of other families.

They assumed that the seals on the evil spirits in the Yu family's ancestral home were normal. They reasoned that the demonic beasts were neither capable of breaking the seals nor, since they had previously occupied the place as their nest, they wouldn't have thought of releasing the evil spirits.

Therefore, when those terrifying evil spirits appeared in the world, the old men panicked immediately. Instinctively, they began to rush towards the Yu family's gate, which was the exit.

After all, this situation was not included in the initial plan. If this had been taken into account, the number of people dispatched by each party would definitely not have been so small.

Moreover, for these old guys, there was absolutely no need to grit their teeth and resist. At worst, they could go back and send a message to their respective sects, hold another meeting, and discuss how to clean up this completely messed-up situation.

There are only two possible outcomes: either let it rot completely, or have each party pay a significant price to put out the fire together.

According to historical practice, for such a high-level and large-scale event, the Dragon King should issue a Dragon King's Decree to solicit assistance from various sects in handling it.

The remaining members of the river-walking team either hurriedly left the place of inheritance or escaped from their hidden healing place. After hesitating for a while, they all made the same choice and quickly moved towards the main gate of the Yu family.

The relationship between people on the river and people on the shore is different.

Every team on the river-crossing expedition knew that if this issue couldn't be resolved, it would mean their attempt to take this wave had failed.

But even if they stayed behind now, it would be unwise to face such a terrible situation. It would be better to go to a place where everyone would gather first.

At this moment, the pitch-black night still enveloped the entire Yu family ancestral home.

But those evil illusions and physical forms can penetrate this thick darkness.

There was a gigantic being, moving slowly, each step accompanied by a tremor;
There are beautiful, fair-skinned women with white bones, singing songs that can shatter one's soul;

There are zombies spewing out corpse odors, leaping and bounding about, leaving behind barren vegetation in their wake;

A gigantic ghost face, formed from invisible energy, soared through the air, its laughter deafening.
There was a wicked Taoist priest wearing a kasaya, half of his body already decayed and fallen off, chanting Taoist incantations while absorbing the nearby demons' resentment into his body.

Have……

These terrifying evil spirits are all heading in one direction at this moment.

Inside the Yu Family Ancestral Hall, the ancestral tablets of the Dragon Kings of the Yu family from generation to generation are shaking violently.

Red spots of light appeared on the rock wall above the ancestral home.

Red dots fell one after another, crashing down towards the edge of the ancestral home.

This is the Dragon King Stele of the Yu family, carved with the blood of successive Dragon Kings of the Yu family during their lifetimes.

A red light emanated from the first stone tablet, releasing a line that encircled part of the ancestral home.

Then came the second, third, and fourth rounds...

The red line is spreading longer and longer, and soon, the rest of the area will be basically enclosed by the red line.

There was only one gap, which was at the main gate of the Yu family's ancestral home.

If trouble breaks out in the ancestral home, that is the easiest place to breach the defenses, and also the most important place.

According to the Yu family tradition, the stone tablet placed at the main entrance of the ancestral home should be erected by the youngest generation of the Yu family's Dragon King.

Because he died the shortest time, the spirit he left behind and the will in his blood were more intense.

The last Dragon King of the Yu family was Yu Tiannan.

At that moment, his stone tablet was descending from the sky, pointing directly at the main gate of the Yu family. The old men running towards the Yu family gate breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing this.

"Fortunately, the Dragon Kings of the Yu family had made arrangements for this in advance."

"Although this great formation cannot completely seal off these evil spirits, it can trap them for a period of time, enough time for the sects in the martial arts world to react."

"Not good! We have to leave quickly! If the great formation is fully completed, we'll all be trapped inside the Yu family compound before we even get out!"

This grand formation, incorporating the spirit of the Dragon King, will only be activated when the evil spirits truly cause a great upheaval. When it was first designed, it certainly didn't consider whether it would harm the "innocent" ones; it simply assumed that the entire Yu family would have perished in battle by then and would be powerless to stop the evil spirits.

The Dragon Kings of yesteryear could never have foreseen that the Yu family would end up in such a state.

Seeing this, the rapidly advancing river-walking team felt relieved. As long as the situation could still be controlled, their wave was not a failure and there was still a lot of room for recovery.

The little yellow dog scratched Di Ting's head with its paw.

Di Ting's back split open, white steam rose, and inside was boiling blood.

The little yellow dog leaned back and fell into the body of the listening dog.

The torn back closed up again, and the wound writhed rapidly. At the same time, Di Ting slowly stood up from all fours, and the white fur on his body receded, revealing the image of an adult male.

His left eye was gold, and his right eye was yellow.

Di Ting raised his right hand and pointed to the Yu Tiannan stone tablet that was falling from the sky.

Runes appeared between Di Ting's five fingers, and with a gentle squeeze, the stone tablet slowed down instantly as it slid through the air.

When Yu Tiannan was carving this stone tablet, it was sitting on Yu Tiannan's shoulder, so it naturally remembered the array patterns on the stone tablet.

Di Ting turned around and looked at the Yu family ancestral hall behind him, but there was still no reaction.

"Master, are you still unwilling to wake up?"

If this stone tablet is not lowered in time, a large gap will appear in this grand formation, which is managed by the spirits of the Dragon Kings of the Yu family throughout the ages and is specifically designed to seal off evil spirits from the ancestral home.

Silence, silence, silence...

At this moment, even the originally arrogant evil spirits looked up and stared at the stone tablet as they walked.

After waiting,

Di Ting's right hand clenched instantly!

"boom!"

The stone tablet exploded in mid-air.

"Master, this monument has cracked, and the great formation has been broken."

The evil spirits immediately let out joyful roars and howls, and continued to advance towards the Yu family's gate.

"Damn it, what's going on with this formation?"

"Now all these evil spirits are going to come out, and there won't be time to wait for reinforcements, or even time to ask for help."

"Catastrophe, catastrophe, catastrophe is coming! This is catastrophe!"

"Snap! Snap! Snap! Snap..."

All the Dragon King tablets on the offering table in the Yu Family Ancestral Hall have developed cracks.

The Yu family's Dragon King stone tablets, which have already been placed, are not able to form an array, but they are still fighting individually.

The stone tablets trembled, exerting their own unique pressure on these evil spirits.

The evil spirits' progress slowed down, as if they were sinking into a swamp.

Because the ones putting pressure on them now are the Dragon Kings who personally defeated and suppressed them back then, who naturally have a suppressive force on them.

However, the words written with the blood of the Dragon King on the Dragon King Stele are slowly fading.

This means that this temporary suppression cannot be maintained for too long.

Furthermore, a small group of evil spirits remained largely unaffected, having been suppressed by Yu Tiannan. However, Yu Tiannan's stone tablet had already shattered, allowing this small group of evil spirits to maintain their previous speed and continue advancing towards the Yu family's gate.

The evil spirits also knew very well that even if the Yu family had suffered a misfortune and fallen, there was still more than just one Dragon King's sect in the martial arts world.

Only by escaping this place as soon as possible and returning to civilian life can one have the opportunity to regain one's former power and reclaim one's freedom.

The yellow eye seemed to reveal a hint of doubt.

"Master, are you still unwilling to wake up?"

The golden eye that was listening suddenly became sharp.

"Hmm? There's someone in the ancestral hall? And they managed to hide for so long despite your investigation? Interesting."

All the flies, big and small, scurried towards the doorway, yet someone dared to settle down right in the center.

Di Ting's figure flickered and appeared in the courtyard of the ancestral hall in the blink of an eye. It flickered again and appeared in front of the offering table. After the third flicker, it arrived at the council hall behind the offering table.

When he appeared, a Yellow River shovel and a pair of golden maces blocked his way.

Behind them stood a young woman holding a jade flute.

On the roof beam, there was a "monkey" squatting, scratching itself.

Everyone was on high alert towards him.

But Di Ting didn't care at all; his gaze fell on the boy standing in front of Yu Di Bei in the pool of blood.

The boy's hand had just been removed from Yu Dibei's forehead.

Di Ting felt a damn familiarity with this boy, but unfortunately, he had forgotten that memory.

The fact that the boy dared to appear here once again proves the importance of that sense of familiarity.

I shouldn't forget, but there's nothing I can do. With memory loss, I've had to forget so many things, just so I can keep the most important things clear.

Chen Xiyuan gripped Cui Di's hand, which was slightly sweaty. She could sense the power and terror of the man in front of her. He was the old dog that her little brother had mentioned before.

When the evil spirits caused the riot, Chen Xiyuan thought that her younger brother would also give the order to retreat to the Yu family's gate, because many people around her ran away at that time.

If her younger brother makes such a choice, Chen Xiyuan can understand and is willing to listen to him.

But just when I think I understand him, my little brother suddenly makes me feel like a stranger.

At that moment, the little brother simply said calmly, "Let's go inside."

This place is indeed very dangerous.

Even with the help of Runsheng and the other two, she was not confident that she could safely leave this place with her little brother.

Because the "old dog" in front of us is far more terrifying than the old guys we've encountered before.

Just then, an order was issued that shocked Chen Xiyuan even more.

"Lift the alert."

Runsheng put the shovel down.

Lin Shuyou hesitated for a moment, but still suppressed his fear of facing the "old dog" and put away his double maces.

Tan Wenbin jumped down from the roof beam.

Chen Xiyuan was the last one, because the others were already used to obeying Xiao Yuan's orders no matter what, no matter how absurd the orders were, because in the end Xiao Yuan would always be right.

However, Chen Xiyuan eventually put away her jade flute and released the domain around her.

Di Ting tilted its head, continuing to stare at the boy, while raising its hand, its killing intent crystal clear.

He didn't know what the boy was trying to tell him, but he didn't have time to play this game right now, so he might as well just kill them all.

Until, the boy's voice rang out again:

"You want to revive Yu Tiannan, don't you, Yuanbao?"

Di Ting lowered his hand as well.

Li Zhuiyuan: "We also want to revive Yu Tiannan to avert this catastrophe, so now, our goals are aligned."

Since we share the same goal, there is no need to fight a battle to the death.

Di Ting laughed and said, "Hehehe... Could it be that you have a way to help me revive my master?"

Li Zhuiyuan: "It seems that Yuanbao, you don't remember me anymore. Diting, you don't remember me either."

Di Ting fell silent.

Li Zhuiyuan turned his gaze back to the seal on Yu Dibei's forehead and said:

"This seal..."

Di Ting: "Even if you can break this seal,..."

Li Zhuiyuan: "...There's no need to crack it."

Di Ting fell silent again.

Li Zhuiyuan: "If he is willing to wake up, these seals will not be a problem and will not be able to stop him."

Di Ting walked into the pool of blood and approached the boy.

Runsheng and Lin Shuyou simply followed silently without interfering.

Li Zhuiyuan: "Yuanbao, do you know why he hasn't woken up yet?"

Di Ting said, "The master is unwilling to wake up, and there must be a reason for it."

Li Zhuiyuan: "Your master is not unwilling to wake up, but unable to wake up."

Di Ting stopped and demanded, "What do you mean by this?"

Li Zhuiyuan pointed to the north of Yu and asked:

"Are you sure you transplanted Yu Tiannan's memories into Yu Dibei's brain?"

Di Ting: "Of course!"

Li Zhuiyuan: "When we were jointly suppressing that evil spirit, Yu Tiannan died before you. When did you replicate Yu Tiannan's memories? Was it while he was still alive?"

"Even if you hadn't obtained this ability from that evil spirit back then, and even if you had, would you have dared to do it before Yu Tiannan's demise!"

Di Ting was stunned. His yellow eyes first showed contemplation, then filled with confusion.

He didn't remember some things, but the boy was right. Memories can only be replicated while a person is alive. Before his master's death, he would only unconditionally obey his master's orders and desperately suppress that evil spirit.

But if it's the memory of the master that one forgot so much in order to perfectly preserve after the master's death, where did it come from?
Di Ting, clutching his head, crouched down in the pool of blood.

It was clear he was in great pain. That emptiness—the feeling that he clearly sensed something was wrong, yet his memories were long gone and he couldn't trace them back—was tormenting him.

Li Zhuiyuan:
“I just checked it, and the memory you implanted in Yu Dibei’s brain doesn’t even have a core.

It doesn't even have the basic conditions to become "I". Without self-awareness, self-perspective, self-experience, or self-feeling, how could it possibly wake up?

You can make up any story, a simple one, as long as it's normal, and make him, as an ordinary person, open his eyes—it's all very simple.

Unfortunately, what you implanted wasn't Yu Tiannan's memories at all, but rather..."

Di Ting suddenly raised its head, looked at the boy, and reached out its hand, eager to know the answer:

"What is it? What is it? What is it?!"

Li Zhuiyuan:
"Yu Tiannan in your eyes."
