Zhao Shu had just opened her eyes, and before she could recover, she fell into the next cliff again. This happened three or four times. The feeling of weightlessness and dizziness kept coming over her.

Zhao Shu felt like she was immersed in a small room. As time went by, the space in the room became smaller and smaller. In the end, the four walls of the room were tightly pressed against her body.

Just when she thought she was about to be crushed by the four walls, a hole was suddenly chiseled in one of the walls from the outside.

In an instant, large amounts of air rushed towards her, and she breathed in and out desperately.

Zhao Shu suddenly opened her eyes. The rushing water and the hidden reefs around her were no longer there. Instead, they stopped in a dark green lake.

Zhao Shu lost all her strength and lay on Xie Jin's chest, breathing heavily.

Zhao Shu looked up at Xie Jin and found that he had his eyes closed and did not respond. She was so anxious that she put her hands on his shoulders and shook them vigorously: "Xie Jin? Xie Jin?"

"., Xie Jin, don't scare me!" Zhao Shu's tone was tinged with tears.

Zhao Shu looked at both sides of the lake and saw a road not far away. She quickly put Xie Jin's hand on her shoulder, put her arms around his waist and swam over there.

After swimming to the shore with great difficulty, Zhao Shu wanted to carry him on her back, but after trying, she found that it was impossible. She could only helplessly pinch his armpits and drag him out of the water.

As soon as they reached the shore, they fell heavily to the ground. Zhao Shu lay there to catch her breath, then used her hands and feet to crawl towards Xie Jin.

She put her hands on his chest, pressing hard again and again. Seeing that the man lying on the ground still had no reaction, Zhao Shu frowned, thought for a moment, then bent down and moved closer.

Just when she came to Xie Jin's mouth and her lips were about to touch, a low laugh came from below. Zhao Shu opened her eyes suddenly and saw that the person who was lying half-dead on the ground just now had woken up and was now looking at her with a smile on his face.

Zhao Shu stared at him blankly.

Xie Jin put his hands under his head and said, "Why, are you fascinated by my handsome appearance?"

Zhao Shu looked at him steadily and nodded: "Yes!"

Xie Jin seemed to have not expected Zhao Shu to say this. His expression froze for a moment, then he turned his head slightly to avoid her sight.

After a while, Zhao Shu stood up and bent down to help Xie Jin up.

But as soon as she touched his back, he grimaced and screamed. Zhao Shu was frightened and wanted to let go of her hand on his back but was afraid that he would fall down. She was at a loss for a moment.

Seeing Zhao Shu looking at him anxiously, Xie Jin didn't know what to do. He gritted his teeth and handed her his hand: "Help me up."

Zhao Shu nodded quickly: "Okay."

Xie Jin wanted to get up by himself, but he had no strength left, so he could only put most of his body weight on Zhao Shu.

Zhao Shu noticed his movements and quickly moved over to hold him tightly.

Xie Jin turned his head with a pale face and smiled at Zhao Shu.

Zhao Shu saw that his forehead was covered with sweat, pursed her lips, and supported him without saying a word.

Even in this state, you still have the energy to laugh!
The two of them walked in small steps, and a turtle basking in the sun on the shore, walking with its legs spread out, slowly overtook them.

Zhao Shu: “.”

Xie Jin: “…”

Xie Jin is now a person who will fall down if the wind blows, and Zhao Shu is weak. When two not-so-strong people get together, they can only move forward at a snail's pace. Oh, no, even slower than a snail's pace.

Xie Jin pursed his lips and said, "I can usually knock down eight fat guys with one punch. I can easily fly over eaves and walls, and floating on water is no problem at all!"

Zhao Shu glanced at him, then turned back: "Oh."

Xie Jin froze up at this bland “Oh” and struggled to say, “Everything I said is true!”

Zhao Shu: “Yeah.”

Xie Jin: "I didn't lie to you!"

Zhao Shu: “Oh.”

Xie Jin: "You don't believe what I said is true!"

Zhao Shu: "I believe it."

Xie Jin was angry: "Then what's your attitude?"

Considering that he was a patient, Zhao Shu didn't argue with him: "Sincere attitude."

Xie Jin: "You're lying!"

Zhao Shu: "No lie."

Xie Jin felt very aggrieved: "Let me go!"

Zhao Shu: "., what are you going to do?"

Xie Jin: "I want to go back!"

Zhao Shu patiently asked, "Why are you going back?"

Xie Jin turned his head stubbornly: "Light Kung Fu Floating on Water!"

Zhao Shu suddenly closed her eyes and silently recited the Heart Sutra: He is my savior, he is my lifesaver, hold it in! Hold it in!
Zhao Shu advised kindly: "You are injured now, let's go next time."

Xie Jin: "I don't!"

Zhao Shu raised her lips with all her strength, turned her head, and shouted, "Are you done yet?"

Xie Jin was stunned for a moment by the yelling. His unreasonable heart was instantly extinguished by the ferocious look and gnashing teeth staring at him. He swallowed his saliva and said, "I'm injured now. I'll come back next time!"

Zhao Shu withdrew her gaze with satisfaction and continued to support Xie Jin as he limped along.

Xie Jin turned his head cautiously and glanced at Zhao Shu. Seeing that she had returned to her usual gentle self, he breathed a sigh of relief. He must have been in too much pain just now, so he had hallucinations. He turned his head to look at her again. Well, it must be an illusion!
The two walked slowly, and gradually Zhao Shu felt that the weight on her body was getting heavier and heavier. She turned around and saw that Xie Jin's face was no longer pale as at first but was red.

Zhao Shu quickly helped Xie Jin lean against the stone nearby and patted his cheek: "Xie Jin? Xie Jin?"

Xie Jin opened his eyes vaguely: "Hmm?"

Zhao Shu put her hand on his forehead, and felt her palm was burning hot. She frowned tightly. No, if this goes on, he will become a fool!
Zhao Shu didn't hesitate any longer, she lifted her skirt and stood up to walk away. "Bang!" Zhao Shu hadn't taken a few steps when she heard the sound of a heavy object falling to the ground behind her.

Zhao Shu quickly turned around and ran towards Xie Jin who was lying on the ground.

Zhao Shu helped Xie Jin up with great effort, and just as she was about to put him back against the stone, she paused.

There were scattered bloodstains all over the stone, as if they had been rubbed there by something.

Zhao Shu tentatively touched his back and immediately felt something wet. She carefully pulled him into her arms and looked down. There was no dry spot on Xie Jin's back.

Zhao Shu pursed her lips and looked at him. When did this man get injured? When he first fell off the cliff? In the lake? Or...

Zhao Shu didn't dare to let him lean against the rock anymore. She pulled his arm away from the rock and then laid him flat on the ground with his back facing the sky.

The sun was shining brightly in the sky, and its rays shone directly on the people on the ground.

Xie Jin's eyelids moved, and just as his eyes opened a crack, they squinted again due to the direct sunlight. He raised his hands to his eyes to block the glaring sunlight.

I looked around and found nothing around except a few trees.

Xie Jin lowered his eyes, supported himself on the ground and tried to get up. As he was exerting force with his arms, a pair of soft little hands suddenly supported his arms.

Xie Jin turned his head and stared at Zhao Shu who suddenly appeared.

Zhao Shu grinned: "What? Don't you recognize me?" Then she stroked his forehead: "Strange, the fever has subsided a little!"

Xie Jin didn't say anything. With the help of Zhao Shu, he stood up and sat down beside the stone.

Feeling the dryness on his back, Xie Jin asked, "Have you treated my wound?"

Zhao Shu nodded: "Well, I used a wet towel to clean the blood on your back and applied medicine."

After Zhao Shu finished speaking, she saw Xie Jin staring at her without blinking. After thinking for a moment, she continued, "It was very dark at the time. I didn't see anything, and I had my eyes closed."

Xie Jin retracted his gaze: "Those people should be catching up soon, we should not stay here for long."

Zhao Shu: "You are still injured..."

Xie Jin: "It's just a minor injury. Let's get to a safe place first."

Zhao Shu: "Okay."

Zhao Shu thought about it and was afraid that Xie Jin would open the wound again, so she lifted his right hand and placed it on her shoulder, then put her arms around his waist and handed him the stick she had just found.

Xie Jin stared at her movements blankly. Zhao Shu turned her head to look at him: "This way we can walk faster."

Zhao Shu saw that he turned his head away, and the light shone on his earlobe, which was almost transparent crimson.

The two men did not take the main road, but took the rugged mountain road. In Xie Jin's words, there must have been ambushes set up on the main road and the waterway, waiting for them to fall into the trap. The mountain road was steep and wild animals often appeared, so it was not easy for those people to set an ambush, so it would be safer for them to take the mountain road.

Although the mountain road is dangerous, it is the best choice for them.

Zhao Shu climbed up the small hill in front of her with the help of a tree. After she stood firmly, she reached out and pulled Xie Jin up.

Xie Jin calmly handed over his hand. His wound could not be opened again, otherwise if something really happened in the mountains, they would not even have a chance to resist.

Looking at Zhao Shu's hair soaked with sweat, Xie Jin's eyes dimmed slightly, but he didn't ask her to stop and rest, and he kept moving forward.

When Zhao Shu reached out to pull Xie Jin again, she clearly felt that the strength in her hand was much weaker than before. She looked up at him and saw that there was nothing unusual on his face, so she lowered her head and continued to exert force.

The sky gradually darkened.

Xie Jin: "Let's not go any further. Let's find a cave nearby to rest for the night."

Zhao Shu: "Wait here for me, I'll go look for it." As soon as she finished speaking, she turned around and was about to leave.

Xie Jin grabbed her wrist and stared at her closely: "Together!"

Zhao Shu: "Okay."

The two men searched for a long time by clawing at the grass and feeling the mountain wall before they found a cave on the downwind side. In fact, they had found a cave at the beginning, but the location of the cave was on the upwind side, which could easily attract wild animals, so they did not go in, but found another one.

Zhao Shu helped Xie Jin sit on the thatch in the cave. Looking at the thick thatch, Zhao Shu thought to herself, it seems that someone had lived in this cave before.

Zhao Shu raised her eyes and looked around, then walked outside. Her wrist suddenly tightened, and she turned sideways and looked down.

Xie Jin pursed his lips and looked at her: "Where are you going?"

Zhao Shu: "I'll go pick up some branches and start a fire."

Xie Jin shook his head: "We can't light a fire, it will easily attract wild animals."

Zhao Shu was puzzled: "Aren't those wild animals afraid of fire?"

Xie Jin patiently explained: "Making a fire can indeed drive away those wild animals to a certain extent, but it can also easily attract them. Once attracted, they may not dare to approach for a while, but as the fire gets smaller, they will also wait for an opportunity to pounce on us and eat us."

Zhao Shu imagined the scene and her face turned pale. "Then, I won't pick up branches. I'll pick up some stones to surround us to block the wind?"

Xie Jin looked at her and nodded: "Yeah."

Xie Jin looked at Zhao Shu's back: "Don't go far!"
