Su Han and Bi Yao pricked up their ears alertly. The strange sound came from far away and was like millions of insects and ants crawling rapidly on dead leaves, or like low whimpers carried by the wind.

Su Han protected Bi Yao behind him, holding the glowing ancient book tightly in his hand, and looking back and forth in the dark forest around him.

"Su Han, what's that sound?"

Bi Yao's voice trembled slightly. She grabbed the corner of Su Han's clothes tightly, her eyes full of fear.

Su Han did not answer immediately, but frowned even deeper. He felt an increasingly strong and strange smell in the air, as if there were pairs of eyes hidden in the dark spying on them.

As the sound got closer, the surrounding trees began to sway slightly, and the friction between branches and leaves made a rustling sound, as if disturbed by an invisible force.

Su Han had an ominous premonition in his heart. He knew that this forest was far more dangerous than they had imagined.

"Biyao, no matter what happens, stay close to me."

Su Han said in a low voice, with unquestionable firmness in his voice.

Suddenly, a huge black shadow suddenly jumped out from behind a thick tree trunk and rushed towards Su Han and Bi Yao.

Su Han reacted quickly and immediately drew out the sword at his waist. A cold light flashed and it collided with the black shadow, making a dull loud noise.

With the help of the dim light, Biyao could see clearly that the black shadow was actually a huge black panther, but its eyes emitted a strange blood-red light and there was a layer of faint black mist surrounding its body. It was obvious that it had been corroded by some evil force.

The black panther was knocked back a few steps by Su Han's sword, but it did not retreat. It opened its bloody mouth, let out a deafening roar, and pounced on them again.

Su Han brandished his sword and fought fiercely with the black panther.

His swordsmanship was sharp, and every time he swung his sword there was a whistling sound, but Black Panther was agile and could always cleverly avoid his attacks, and would look for opportunities to launch counterattacks from time to time.

Bi Yao was extremely anxious. Although she didn't know martial arts, she wanted to help Su Han. She looked around and found a sharp stone on the ground. She picked it up and threw it at the black panther when the time was right.

The stone hit the black panther squarely on its back. The black panther paused in pain. Su Han took the opportunity to stab its leg with a sword.

The black panther was injured, roared in pain, and turned to flee into the dark forest.

Su Han panted heavily, put away his sword, and pulled Bi Yao forward.

He knew that this black panther was just the beginning, and they must find a way to leave the forest as soon as possible while unlocking the secrets in the ancient books.

However, the surrounding environment became increasingly eerie and terrifying. The branches of the trees twisted and tangled like savage demons. Wisps of black mist emerged from the ground from time to time, making their vision blurred.

As he walked, Su Han suddenly found an open space in front of him. There was a thick layer of fog in the open space, and he could not see clearly what was going on inside.

But he could feel a powerful and mysterious power fluctuation coming from the fog, which seemed to have some connection with the green light on the stone platform.

"Su Han, are we going in?"

Biyao asked hesitantly.

Su Han pondered for a moment and nodded, "Everything here is related to the stone platform. The secret of the ancient book may be inside. Let's be careful."

As he spoke, he pulled Bi Yao and slowly walked into the fog.

As soon as they stepped into the fog, Su Han and Bi Yao felt a chill on their faces, as if they had entered an ice cellar.

The fog was filled with a foul smell that made them cover their mouths and noses. (End of this chapter)
