In Zhu Xian, people start to rise from plundering entries
Chapter 559 Lu Xueqi
No longer caring about anything, its enormous body rose upright from the sea, stirring up the wind and clouds, and countless water arrows shot indiscriminately in all directions, making the entire sea area look like the end of the world.
After Su Han landed a successful strike, he immediately used the momentum to retreat, but the immense force generated by the Sea Python's frantic head swings still sent him flying.
A surge of qi and blood welled up within him.
"Su Han!"
Lu Xueqi, wielding the Tianya Divine Sword, broke through the water arrows and caught Su Han as he fell.
Biyao also maneuvered the spirit boat to quickly approach.
"Are you alright?" Biyao asked with concern.
"It's nothing, just a superficial wound." Su Han suppressed his churning blood and looked at the rampaging sea python.
Although it failed to kill the creature instantly, the severe damage to its eyes clearly caused it immense pain, making its attacks even more ferocious but less disciplined.
"Now's the time, let's charge!"
Su Han pointed to the bay entrance exposed by the sea python leaving the water.
Without further hesitation, the three steered the spirit boat to its maximum speed, shooting towards the bay like lightning.
Although the sea serpent was enraged, the intense pain affected its judgment and speed. By the time it reacted, the spirit boat had already rushed into the bay.
As soon as we entered the bay, something strange happened.
The previously enraged sea serpent suddenly stopped, pacing restlessly at the entrance of the bay, letting out unwilling roars, but daring not to cross the line.
It was as if this small bay contained something that even it feared.
"It doesn't dare to come in?" Biyao asked in surprise.
Su Han and Lu Xueqi breathed a sigh of relief, but their vigilance did not decrease.
Even a Nascent Soul stage Sea Python dares not enter, so this bay is probably more dangerous than the outside world.
The spirit boat slowly came to a stop in the bay.
The bay was unusually calm, with crystal-clear waters revealing colorful corals and schools of fish, a stark contrast to the raging waves outside.
The shore is covered with soft white sand, while behind it lies a dense jungle that stretches deep into the island.
The air was filled with a rich spiritual energy, even more abundant than some blessed grottoes.
But all three of them felt a strange sense of oppression.
The Netherworld Decree was no longer burning hot, but the faint sense of summoning seemed to have become clearer.
The sundial's pointer steadily pointed to the center of the island, to the towering main peak that pierced the clouds.
"There must be a powerful restriction here, limiting flight. We can only proceed on foot."
Su Han felt the invisible pressure in the air and said in a deep voice.
The three of them carefully stepped onto the land of Liubo Mountain.
My feet rustled softly on the sand. The jungle was eerily silent; there were no birdsong, no insects, no sounds, only the faint rustling of the wind through the leaves.
This silence, however, made people uneasy.
"Stay close to me and don't touch anything you're not familiar with."
Su Han gave instructions and took the lead, spreading his divine sense to the maximum extent to explore the surroundings.
Most of the plants in the jungle were strangely shaped; some emitted a shimmering glow, while others were excessively brightly colored, clearly not ordinary things.
After walking for about the time it takes for an incense stick to burn, a ruin appeared ahead.
The crumbling walls are covered with green vines, and you can vaguely see that they were once the foundations of a building complex. The style is simple and ancient, quite different from the architecture of the cultivation world today.
"Was this place ever inhabited?" Biyao looked at the ruins with curiosity.
"It might be a stronghold established here by some ancient sect, or... it might be a relic of the Netherworld Path."
Su Han approached a relatively intact wall, on which were engraved some blurry murals and runes.
He examined the mural closely and found that it depicted a sacrificial scene, while the runes were somewhat similar to those on the Netherworld Decree, but more complex and profound.
Lu Xueqi squatted down in front of a broken stone tablet, brushed away the moss, and revealed a few ancient characters.
“Suppress…the…Demon…Abyss?” she murmured, her tone tinged with uncertainty.
“Demon Suppression Abyss?” Su Han walked over, looking at the three ancient characters filled with a sense of vicissitude, his brows furrowing slightly.
Liubo Mountain is a sacred mountain in legends, so how could there be a place like "Demon Suppression Abyss"?
Could the ancient records be wrong? Or is there some kind of demon being suppressed beneath this sacred mountain?
Just then, the Netherworld Token on Su Han's chest heated up slightly again, and this time, the heat source pointed to the depths of the ruins.
"Something inside is calling to it."
Su Han looked into the depths of the ruins, where denser vegetation and collapsed boulders blocked the way, making it appear deep and mysterious.
"Shall we go in and take a look?" Biyao asked.
Su Han pondered for a moment, then nodded.
"Now that we're here, we can't leave empty-handed. This Netherworld Token is the key; it might guide us to find clues about the Netherworld Path. However, we must be extremely careful; the words 'Demon Suppression Abyss' are unsettling."
The three of them cautiously made their way deeper into the ruins.
The further you go in, the cooler the air becomes, and the dimmer the light, as if some force has blocked out the sunlight.
The remaining architectural components grew larger and larger, and the runes carved on them became more and more numerous, vaguely forming some kind of formation.
Finally, they arrived at the center of the ruins.
This is a relatively open square, with the ground paved with huge bluestone slabs, which are still sturdy despite being full of cracks.
In the center of the square, there is a circular altar with a diameter of about ten zhang (approximately 33 meters).
The altar was constructed of a jet-black stone, its surface smooth as a mirror, engraved with countless intricate and eerie runes that seemed to be slowly flowing, emitting a dim light. (End of Chapter)
