In Zhu Xian, people start to rise from plundering entries
Chapter 686 Lu Xueqi and Biyao
Su Han leaped onto the arena.
"Ziyang Sect, Su Han."
A murderous glint flashed in Devil May Cry's eyes: "Finally here. I told you, you'd pay the price."
"Enough with the nonsense, let's get started." Su Han drew his Tianya Sword.
"court death!"
Ghost Cry's figure blurred, transforming into several afterimages that attacked from different directions. Each afterimage thrust out a sword, each strike aimed directly at a vital point.
Su Han channeled his star power, unleashing the Azure Cloud Step to its fullest extent, weaving and dodging amidst the sword shadows. At the same time, he unleashed a series of strikes with the Heavenly Sword, its sword light forming a net that shredded the incoming sword energy one by one.
"Clang clang clang clang—"
The clang of metal against metal was deafening. The two fought with lightning speed, exchanging dozens of blows in the blink of an eye, leaving the audience dazzled.
"What a fast sword!"
"Su Han is indeed extraordinary to be able to fight Ghost Cry to this extent."
"But Ghost Cry's Heart-Eating Sword Qi has not yet been fully unleashed. Once it is used, Su Han will undoubtedly be defeated."
On the stage, Ghost Cry, unable to break through Su Han's defenses, grew impatient. He had expected to defeat Su Han within three moves, but his opponent's movements were unpredictable and his swordsmanship exquisite, allowing him to hold his own for so long.
"The third move of the Heart-Eating Sword Technique—Soul Severance!"
With a fierce shout, Gui Qi thrust his longsword forward. Suddenly, a dense black light burst forth from the tip of the sword, transforming into a black venomous snake that bared its fangs and bit towards Su Han's heart.
The sword strike was incredibly fast and angled sharply, sealing off all of Su Han's escape routes. Even more terrifying was that before the sword even arrived, its chilling, corrosive aura already assaulted him, causing a sharp pain in Su Han's heart.
"Good timing!"
Su Han neither dodged nor evaded, a resolute glint in his eyes. Last night's battle with the man in black robes had given him a new understanding of the "Starfall" technique, and he was looking for someone to test his sword against.
"The first move of the Nine Swords of Tianya—Starfall!"
The Tianya Sword shone brightly as Su Han poured all his stellar power into it and unleashed a powerful strike. This seemingly ordinary sword strike contained an unwavering determination, like a meteor falling to earth, burning itself to unleash its final brilliance.
"boom!"
The black serpent clashed with the sword light, unleashing a deafening roar. The arena's formation fluctuated violently, its light flickering erratically.
Amidst the surging air currents, both of them were sent flying backwards. Su Han tumbled several times in the air before landing, staggering back seven or eight steps, a trickle of blood spilling from the corner of his mouth.
Devil May Cry fared even worse, being knocked off the stage and crashing to the ground. A deep sword wound was visible on his chest, with blood gushing out.
"Impossible... How could you break my Heart-Eating Sword Qi..." Ghost Cry struggled to get up, but aggravated his injuries, spitting out another mouthful of blood and fainting.
The entire room fell silent.
A moment later, a deafening commotion erupted.
"Devil May Cry has lost!"
"That sword strike... what terrifying power!"
"Just who is this Su Han? When did the Ziyang Sect produce such a genius?"
The disciples of the Heart-Eating Sword Sect rushed onto the stage and carried Gui Qi off to treat him. The leading elder's face was ashen, and he glared fiercely at Su Han, but dared not lash out in front of everyone.
On the high platform, Master Ziyang stroked his beard and smiled, his eyes full of satisfaction. The other sect elders had different expressions; some were surprised, some were wary, and some had shifty eyes, lost in thought.
Su Han suppressed his surging blood and bowed to the audience below: "Is there anyone else who can offer some guidance?"
The crowd below exchanged bewildered glances, none daring to challenge them. Even Devil May Cry had been defeated; who would dare step onto the stage so easily?
"Since no one is challenging, the defender of the fifth arena today is Su Han!" the referee announced loudly. Su Han breathed a sigh of relief and was about to step down from the stage to recuperate when suddenly a figure in white floated over.
"I am Yuehua, and I humbly request your guidance, Young Master Su."
The voice was soft and melodious; it belonged to the woman in white from last night. She still wore a veil, but her star-like eyes were smiling as she looked at Su Han.
Another commotion erupted from the audience.
"It's the Moon Fairy!"
"I heard he's a rogue cultivator who won nine consecutive matches on the fourth arena yesterday. His strength is unfathomable."
Why would she challenge Su Han?
Su Han was also taken aback, then cupped his hands and said, "Miss Yuehua, please."
Yuehua gently drew her longsword, its blade flowing like moonlight, clear and bright: "Young Master Su, be careful."
Before she finished speaking, she had already thrust her sword forward. This sword strike seemed gentle and slow, yet it reached Su Han in an instant, the tip trembling slightly as it enveloped seven major acupoints on his chest.
Su Han dared not be careless and blocked with his Tianya Sword. With a clang, the two swords clashed, and Su Han felt a gentle yet continuous force that made his arm go numb.
"Such exquisite control of force!" Su Han was secretly amazed.
The two clashed. Yuehua's swordsmanship was light and graceful, like dancing under the moon, breathtakingly beautiful, yet concealing deadly intent. Each strike was aimed at the flaws in Su Han's movements, forcing him to change his tactics repeatedly.
Su Han grew increasingly alarmed as the fight progressed. This woman's swordsmanship was exceptionally skilled, her timing impeccable, as if she could predict his every move. Even more strangely, there was a faint, familiar quality to her swordsmanship.
After fifty moves, Yuehua suddenly sheathed her sword and stepped back, smiling slightly. "Young Master Su's swordsmanship is superb; I admire it. How about we call this a draw?"
Su Han was taken aback. Although he hadn't gone all out, he could tell that his opponent was also holding back. If it were a true life-or-death struggle, the outcome would be uncertain.
"You flatter me, Miss Yuehua." Su Han clasped his hands in a fist salute.
Yuehua gave him a deep look, then gracefully stepped off the stage and disappeared into the crowd.
Su Han watched her retreating figure, his doubts deepening. Who exactly was this woman? Why did she both help him and challenge him? And what did she mean by "resembles someone"?
"On the fifth arena, Su Han has won two consecutive matches. Is there anyone else who wants to challenge him?" the referee shouted again.
He asked three times, but no one answered. Su Han successfully became one of the defending champions for the day.
As you stepped off the stage, Liu Ruyan greeted you and handed you a pill: "Take this quickly to heal your injuries. Your meridians have been damaged from forcing that move just now."
Su Han took the medicine, and a warm current flowed into his limbs and bones, and his injuries immediately improved a lot.
"Thank you, senior sister."
“We are fellow disciples, there’s no need to be so polite.” Liu Ruyan looked at him with a complicated expression. “Junior Brother Su, your move ‘Starfall’ just now was powerful, but it put too much strain on your body. You shouldn’t use it lightly.”
“I understand,” Su Han nodded.
Just as the two were about to leave, a figure suddenly blocked their way.
He was a young man in a blue robe, about sixteen or seventeen years old, with sharp eyebrows and bright eyes, and an otherworldly air. He had an ancient longsword at his waist and was smiling at Su Han.
"Brother Su, your swordsmanship is superb! I am Ye Lingxiao, a disciple of the Heavenly Sword Sect, and I would like to make friends with you."
Su Han sized up the other person. This young man had a restrained aura, his cultivation was at least at the mid-stage of the Star Palace Realm, and his foundation was solid, making him no ordinary disciple.
"Ye Lingxiao of the Heavenly Sword Sect?" Liu Ruyan was slightly moved. "Is he the 'Sword Master' of the Heavenly Sword Sect?"
"It's just an empty title; I'm sorry to have made Senior Sister Liu laugh at me," Ye Lingxiao said, bowing respectfully.
Although Su Han didn't know what "Sword Master" meant, seeing Liu Ruyan's reaction, he knew that the other party was someone of considerable importance. (End of Chapter)
