Chapter 659 The New Kitty

Chapter 659 The New Kitty
His new boss—a former Black Spot warlord, the owner of Black Rock Space Station, and a big shot with an elite guard—seems to be at the very bottom of the food chain in the mysterious organization "The Inn".

The cat was very shocked by its discovery.

However, the new boss himself didn't seem to realize this, and Momo soon discovered that the "dangerous guys" the boss mentioned were actually quite friendly, at least the black-clad dolls running around were friendly.

They even look quite cute—although their eyes don't seem very bright.

"Are they all clones of that Miss 'Eileen'?" Momo finally couldn't help but ask, watching another group of mass-produced dolls rushing through the hall pushing mops.

“Copy 'people'?” Luo thought for a moment, then crossed his arms and said slowly, “They seem similar in nature... but if I had to say, they are more like mass-produced 'shells' that come off the production line—Eileen is an Alice doll, and these are all spare bodies that my boss created for her in some strange ways. Eileen is the controller behind them all.”

"An Alice doll?" Momo was immediately taken aback, gesturing with her hand above her head, "But the Alice dolls I've seen haven't been this short..."

Before the cat could finish speaking, Luo covered its mouth with a handkerchief: "Hey, don't say that in front of her! She'll fly up and bite you!"

Momo's mouth was covered, and her eyes were wide open. She could only nod vigorously while whimpering.

Luo then let go of Momo's hand, glancing around warily to make sure the mass-produced dolls nearby didn't seem to notice what was happening before she breathed a sigh of relief. Then she nudged Momo's back and said, "Don't just stand there like an idiot. Come with me, I'll show you around this place."

Momo obediently followed behind the new boss. She passed through the huge central hall, then through a short corridor, and through a large, ancient and solemn door that looked like some kind of ancient civilization relic, before finally arriving at the exterior of this huge pyramid.

The view suddenly opened up before them—a huge valley, a river flowing through the valley floor, farmland and a strangely styled town beside the hub, and in the distance, towers, forests, starports, and an alternate dimension entrance floating in the sky.

All of these things exceeded Momo's expectations before she came here.

When she first heard the words "hostel headquarters," the upper limit she subconsciously imagined was a solemn building, or a "big guy" like Blackrock Station. She thought that was already exaggerated enough, but all these imaginations obviously couldn't compare to a real... independent space-time.

Just then, another buzzing sound swept overhead. Momo looked in surprise and saw a mass-produced doll flying through the sky. The doll was holding a "small sword" about the size of a dagger with its hands and feet, and was hanging face down on the sword. Strictly speaking, it was being carried by the sword.

The out-of-town cat had never seen anything like this before: "A doll flying in the sky, boss!"

Luo looked up and said calmly, "Oh, that's flying on a sword. You see that scene occasionally."

Momo's eyes widened: "Flying on a sword? But when I saw Miss Mo Ran fly over in Shuji, she wasn't like that; she was standing on a sword—"

Luo: "This is what it looked like after it fell down."

Momo blinked, not even having time to figure out what those words meant, when she heard a clattering sound not far away. Turning her head, she jumped up again: "The doll is hanging in the tree!"

Luo calmly led the out-of-town cat towards the fairytale town: "Don't worry, dolls often get stuck in trees—and some even fall into pits. Someone will come with a stick to poke her down later."

"...A giant! A giant is walking along the riverbank!"

"That's Snow White's Thunder Titan."

"...Why are there armored vehicles in the town?!"

"That's Dorothy's command vehicle. She should have just come back from a speeding trip around this time."

"...There's a dragon on the horizon, a dragon is falling down!!"

"The dragon slayer is practicing gliding—don't worry, Jack's bean peg will catch him. Hey, stop looking at the sky, watch your step, a puppet just passed by."

"Oh, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry..."

Momo was constantly startled throughout the journey, jumping up and down countless times on the short road from the Hub Pyramid to the Fairy Tale Town. Her tail hadn't come down since the explosion. To be fair, she wasn't usually one to overreact; at least among the Jipros, she was considered quite calm and collected. But the key was that the place was so bizarre and unpredictable that she, a professionally trained deep-space engineer, had never seen anything like it.
When she entered the town and saw a human child, no more than six or seven years old, riding a two-meter-tall shadow wolf and running wildly through the streets, she was completely stunned...

Then this girl, who had a lot of inner monologues, quickly realized one thing: there might be a reason why her new boss was at the bottom of the food chain in this place.

“Next time, you’ll bring the others here,” Luo said calmly, unsurprised by Momo’s reaction. She knew this was a process every “newcomer” had to go through after entering the valley. So, after giving a general introduction to the town, she continued, “The fresh air here is very good for your health. Once your friends are feeling better and can leave the hospital, they can move here to continue their recuperation.”

"Of course, my boss knows you want to go home—that's fine, but we'll also provide you with a place to stay. Don't worry, this town has no shortage of empty houses; the children in fairy tales build them when they have nothing better to do, they use them as building blocks..."

"Besides this town, there's a starport near the Black Forest. The spaceships parked there look a bit like something from a secret society, but they're actually the property of the inn... Where did they come from? My boss, Mao."

"Also, don't go near that tower to the north, the one with that black spatial rift floating in the sky... Ah? No, no, it has nothing to do with the forbidden area, and it's not a cursed tower. That place is under construction right now. Snow White and Rapunzel are planning to turn that tower and the alternate dimension above it into a children's playground. Of course, they told my boss it's a 'training ground,' for the kids to use for physical exercise... "You want to know what's dangerous about the playground, and why you're not allowed to go near it? Well, the demons inside are real! As for why there are demons in the playground, don't ask me. It's Rapunzel's idea—she can summon demons she's killed in that tower. She usually uses those things to exercise, killing them half to death and then giving them to the kids to use for exercise..."

Momo: "...?!"

Just then, she noticed that Luo had suddenly stopped.

A chubby-looking tabby cat appeared out of nowhere and was strolling towards us.

Two old men followed behind, carrying cans of cat food and dried fish, their faces full of flattery.

A sudden, inexplicable tension welled up inside Momo. For some reason, she tensed up the moment she saw the tabby cat. Then she saw it come closer, sniff her, circle around her twice, and then look up at her.

Those vertical pupils held a scrutinizing quality.

Then it nodded and said in a deep baritone voice, "New here?"

Momo almost jumped onto Luo instantly—at this moment, the shock she felt was even greater than when she saw a giant dragon fall from the sky: "The cat can talk! Ahhh!"

Luo hurriedly and frantically pressed down on the girl, Jibril, who was reacting strongly: "Calm down! Calm down! It's just a talking cat, you haven't gotten used to it yet!"

The king looked up at Momo, who was still terrified, his cat face full of helplessness: "You jeeplows who make a fuss over nothing."

It waved its paw, and the two "sycophants" behind it carrying snacks vanished into thin air. Then, a goddess in a white robe reappeared in the spot. This "Kingdom Saintess" who had been summoned raised her scepter and pointed it at Momo, and several powerful calming spells were slapped onto the latter's face.

Then the "Kingdom Saintess" gracefully bowed to the king, her figure slowly disappearing, and the two treacherous ministers were brought back.

Momo calmed down. Perhaps the calming spell was a bit too strong, because her eyes were even a little dazed. It took her about five or six seconds to finally snap out of it and look at the king with a strange expression.

“I forgot to remind you,” Luo’s voice rang out from the side, “Don’t even mess with the cats here, you can’t beat them.”

Momo: "..."

“I am the ‘King,’ and the little animal at this orphanage,” the King lazily stretched. “We have two little animals here now, besides me, there’s a snake, but she’s currently in the square serving as a slide for the children. Now it’s your turn, where did you come from?”

Luo quickly introduced from the side: "The boss asked me to take care of her. Her name is Momo. We brought back a group of people from the Dark Current Star Region this time..."

She gave a brief introduction to Momo's situation. After listening, the king nodded solemnly, and then his expression softened as he looked at the guest: "Well, then you're one of us—don't be shy here, just make yourself at home. Coincidentally, there's another compatriot of yours here now, you two can get to know each other."

Momo blinked in confusion: "Compatriots?"

“Over there,” the king pointed across the road, “that’s the one leading that big oaf in rehabilitation.”

Momo looked up and immediately saw Lingdang accompanying Xu Jiali, who was still recovering from her injury, on a walk in the town.

Bell also sensed something and turned her head, seeing Momo standing on the other side of the road.

The two cats walked towards each other without hesitation, each forgetting their boss and their wounded leader.

"Alright, you don't need to take care of the rest," the king lazily raised his eyelids and glanced at Luo. "Cats will socialize on their own."

Mr. Luo felt there was something off about what the king was saying to him...

Meanwhile, Momo and Lingdang, who had huddled together, quickly confirmed each other's friendly attitude. Although they hadn't even introduced themselves yet, Lingdang had already pulled a small box out of her pocket.

"Come on, fellow countryman, have a smoke of this, it's super strong, meow~"

"what is this?"

"Catnip! The hottest stuff from the border region, meow~"

"Wow--"
