The Wolf of Los Angeles.

Chapter 165 Headhunting

Chapter 165 Headhunting
Fountain Street, East Hollywood.

Hawke took down the copper sign of the West Coast Media Studio and handed it to Frank beside him: "Take it from the RV."

Edward came out of the door holding the box, and Frank put it on top.

Hawke entered the studio and had to do some of the relocation work himself, such as the guns hidden in various rooms.

Frank took a box and followed behind.

The old man couldn't move the boxes before he finished walking up the first floor.

He looked down and saw that the box was filled with pistols, shotguns, ARs, MP5s, sabers, etc.

Every gun has at least one spare magazine.

Frank couldn't help but ask, "How many guns did you buy?"

Hawke then said, "Not many, there are only about twenty guns here."

Apart from anything else, as long as he is in this house, he can take out a gun anytime and anywhere.

After packing up the guns, the two men went upstairs to find the rest of the guns.

The one-year lease for the house on Fountain Street has expired, and Hawke did not renew it. The West Coast Studio will also move to Ocean Park Avenue and hang a sign at Twitter.

Edward's office can serve as the West Coast studio.

The guns, office supplies, and photographic equipment were all packed and loaded into a van.

The modified safe must also be taken away.

Hawke handed over the property to the agency manager. Since he had made some renovations to the house, he did not argue about the small amount of compensation and everything was settled quickly.

Edward got in the car and drove straight to Santa Monica.

Hawke just rented a small single-family house on 20th Street in Santa Monica.

This side is closer to Ocean Park Boulevard.

The house has two floors, a red roof and yellow walls, a brick-concrete structure, a small courtyard and a garage, and is surrounded by a three-meter-high wall.

The surrounding area is full of two-story houses, with no taller buildings.

Another point is that there are no tall trees or street lamp poles around the house.

As soon as Frank entered the door, he discovered the key: "The privacy is very good, you bastard is too careful."

"I can't help it. I've done too much shit." Hawke said directly, "This is the only way I can sleep better."

Frank put his hands behind his back and forced the king to go online instantly: "It is really difficult for young people nowadays to start a business. If you want to make quick money, you always have to take some risks."

Edward came in carrying a box. "A few days ago, a company wanted to buy 2500% of Twitter's shares for $ million. Now Twitter is valued at nearly $ million. At your peak, were you able to compare to my boss?"

He taunted, "Don't forget, you are a loser now."

Frank said dismissively: "Even if I fail, my ancestors will reward your ancestors with whips."

Edward was killed.

Frank continued to attack: "You used to be a poor guy, hooking up with divorced women with kids. Now it's different. You are also a rich man. From now on, they will stare at your wallet and squeeze you dry!"

Edward argued: "I'm not as stupid as you to marry them!"

"Do you need to get married?" Frank had been enduring him for a long time, and finally found an opportunity to fight back: "Think about the bad things you have done. As long as a woman finds a reason to frame you, you will face a lot of trouble. You will need to spend a lot of time, energy and money to deal with it, until you are squeezed dry!"

Edward had followed Hawke throughout the whole process and had seen Sarah Parker and Jada Smith, so he was speechless for a moment.

Frank fought back crazily: "Do you want to know the name of my ex-wife? I can tell you for free. They hurt me like this. With your little wealth, haha..."

Edward lowered his head and went out to move the boxes. He didn't want to know the name of Frank's ex-wife at all at this time.

Hawke came in with two large gun bags and urged Frank, "Stop talking nonsense and get to work."

"You new-age slave owner!" Frank raised his middle finger and quickly followed Edward's footsteps.

Hawke didn't have many personal belongings, so he moved into the villa quickly.

The move alarmed the neighbor next door. A short man with blond hair came out of his door and looked at Hawke curiously.

He saw Hawke and the others looking over here, so he quickly walked to the front of the truck and shook hands with Hawke: "Hello, new neighbor, I'm Jeter Brown."

The man was only as tall as Hawke's shoulder. Hawke shook his hand and said, "Hello, I'm Hawke Osment."

Jeter Brown greeted Edward and Frank again and asked politely, "Just moved in? Do you need any help?"

"Thank you." Hawke smiled and said, "We'll be done soon."

Edward and Frank each carried two gun bags down from the trunk.

Hawke went over and grabbed the last gun bag.

Jet Brown could tell at a glance that there were rifles or multiple guns inside, and his expression changed slightly.

"I'm a gun collector and these are my collection," Hawke said.

This kind of collection is common in North America. Jet Brown said: "Actually, I like guns, too."

Hawke said politely: "Let's exchange experiences when we have a chance."

Jeter Brown nodded and asked, "What do you do?"

"Online media." Hawke took out his business card and handed it to him.

Jet Brown took it and saw the CEO of Twitter. He suddenly smiled brightly and said, "Are you the CEO of Twitter?" Without waiting for Hawke to answer, he took out his business card and handed it to Hawke. He said, "I am the senior talent consultant of Korn Ferry in Los Angeles. If you need any talent, you can always contact me."

Hawke understood: "You are a headhunter."

Jeter came over to shake hands: "I hope we can have a chance to work together."

Hawke gestured to the gun bag in his left hand, nodded with a smile, and followed Edward and Frank into the yard.

Jet walked back and stood in front of his house, looking at the truck, then at the business card in his hand, thinking.

The door behind him opened, and a blonde woman who was half a head taller than him came out and asked, "Is someone moving next door?"

This is Jett's girlfriend Diana Lund, a model.

Jeter showed her his business card: "The CEO of Twitter, who is very popular recently."

Diana glanced at the business card and looked over there: "Everyone in the circle is talking about Twitter. It is said that they have some explosive information about Will Smith."

She was a little moved: "My agency, CAA, has a lot of opinions about him."

Jeter was a headhunter with a good eye for people, and he warned: "Don't mess with him, he's a ruthless person."

Diana listened and said, "I'm just an insignificant little model. I won't get involved in the fights between big people."

The two men returned home quickly.

On the other side, Hawke asked Edward to temporarily move the useless things to the utility room, while he placed the guns one by one in the places selected in advance.

Even on the rooftop of the second floor, he placed AR and spray guns.

Frank was convinced: "Aren't you tired of living like this?"

"As long as life continues, there will be more things to do!" Hawke was not tired at all, but was very excited: "You overlooked one thing. These things can not only bring me fun, but also make me a lot of money."

He stated the facts and reasoned: "How did I get my tens of millions? Didn't I get it by doing trouble?"

Frank thought about it and realized that what Hawke said was true.

Hawke had just packed up his gun when he received a call.

It was Jacqueline who called, having barely had any contact with him since the actor training class ended.

The last time they met was when Jacqueline borrowed money from him to help her friend Renee's daughter.

Hawke asked Edward to drive the car and first took Frank back to Venice Beach, then went to the company to change a car and headed to Mount Herbel Park.

Arriving at the old place in the park, Hawke met Jacqueline.

Jacqueline greeted: "Long time no see."

Edward looked her up and down and said, "You seem to have changed a lot."

Jacqueline smiled and asked, "More like an actor?"

"Have you received any roles recently?" Hawke asked.

Jacqueline's smile disappeared. "I was in two different crews and got roles that were purely background roles. I didn't even have any lines. The bastards in the casting team slept with me and didn't fulfill their promises at all."

She had a real experience: "You are right, you can't become a star just by sleeping. Even if I take the initiative to find the people in the production team, they still won't give me a role after sleeping with me."

With Wagner's underage incident in the past and Will Smith and CAA in the future, Hawke's path is destined to put him in opposition to Hollywood stars.

He thought Jacqueline wanted to find a role, so he said directly: "Except Eric Eason, I don't know any other directors, so I can't help you find a role."

"No, I'm not asking you for help with the role." Jacqueline opened her purse, took out a photo and handed it to Hawke: "This is Kristen Johnson. We work together in two crews. She and I have a dream of becoming a star. We often stay together and basically eat and walk together on the crew."

Hawke looked at the photo and saw a beautiful blonde girl.

Judging from her appearance in the photo alone, she is even better than Jacqueline.

Jacqueline continued, "Five days ago, she suddenly disappeared. I called her again and again, but couldn't get through. I went to her place and looked for her, but her clothes and luggage were still there, but she was gone."

Hawke asked, "How old is she?"

Jacqueline said, "Eighteen at most, maybe less than seventeen."

She said what she knew: "Kristen and I both slept with people from the production crew. I don't know what happened. It's as if she disappeared from the face of the earth."

Edward interrupted, "No one called the police?"

Jacqueline said: "Her mother called the police. The last time I saw Christine, she said she called her family and reconciled with her mother. Her mother couldn't get through to her, so she came to Los Angeles and called the police."

She looked around and saw that there was no one else around, so she said, "Will Kristen be like Jessica..."

Hawke remembered the name: "That Jessica you knew at the Superstar Acting School?"

Jacqueline reminded, “Jessica is missing, I told you.”

Hawke asked, "I told you to stop caring about this, but you didn't touch it, did you?"

"No, I've always listened to you and pretended that nothing had happened." Jacqueline had worked with Hawke several times and knew that he had a radical style of doing things. Even Hawke was wary of him, so of course she wouldn't touch him.

Hawke thought of something: "Who invested in the crew you went to?"

Jacqueline said: "It was co-produced by many companies and foundations. It seems that the main producers are Sony Columbia and Akerman Films."

Hawke heard the name again, and immediately put away Christine's photo and said to Jacqueline: "Write me her details, but don't worry about this matter anymore."

Jacqueline complied.
