The Wolf of Los Angeles.

Chapter 257 Hunting

East Los Angeles, Magic Gym.

Edward shook his head and pedaled hard on the spinning bike, but his eyes kept scanning the car in front of him.

There was a Latin American woman riding on that bike. Because of her riding posture, her huge buttocks were like a mountain, pressing on the narrow seat.

Edward had a strong suspicion that the small car seat would be swallowed up.

It's so scary.

Hawke walked past the spinning area and pointed to the energy drink in his hand.

Edward stopped, got out of the car, took the bottle of drink, took a sip, and followed Hawke to the rest area.

As he walked away, he glanced back and said, "Jennifer Lopez's butt is too big."

Hawke asked, "The woman in front of you?"

Edward pointed to the spinning area: "Yes! She was riding a bike in front of me just now, can you imagine?"

Hawke smiled and said, "Is this the charm of the Latin Queen?"

"It's too big." Edward said, "Does it really look good like this?"

Hawke was surprised: "Don't you all like this?"

After entering the rest area, Edward said again: "Indeed, many black people like this, but I am an exception."

"You like divorced women with kids." Brian came over, wiping his sweat, and said to Edward, "Last time you mentioned that you were pursuing Miller Collins' ex-wife."

Edward was quite pleased with himself: "We've already started dating."

Brian thought of the bastard who drove a car bomb and almost let him take a free plane, and urged: "Dude, you did a great job, you must do it hard, help me do it a few more times!"

Edward smiled happily.

But Hawke knew that this was a true savior who had been trying to pull people back from hell.

So, he and Deborah danced together on the grave of Robert Downey Jr.

A forward and backward duet is also planned in front of Miller Collins's tombstone.

Unfortunately, the latter's body was blown to pieces, leaving only some emblems and fragments, and he has not been buried yet.

Since the car bombing, Brian has signed up for a super membership here and started a fitness routine.

His purpose was very clear. If he encountered danger, he could at least run faster and farther.

The three of them rested for a while, changed their clothes and prepared to leave the gym.

When they arrived at the door, they happened to meet Jennifer Lopez. Hawke saw many media reporters gathered outside the door, so he called Edward and Brian to wait a while before leaving.

The Latin queen, wearing tight pants, went out of the door, but did not get into the car immediately. Instead, she stuck out her butt and posed for the reporters to take as many photos as they wanted.

After struggling at the door for more than ten minutes, Jennifer Lopez finally got into the car and left.

After the reporters left, Edward drove over.

Brian got in the car with Hawke.

When the car started, Hawke said, "My people have arrived in San Francisco."

Brian understood what this meant: "My people have been secretly investigating Douglas Coster's whereabouts. He was not a low-key person in San Francisco before, and the places he often went to are basically found out."

The two men had already decided not to take action in Los Angeles. Before Douglas left Los Angeles, Brian's men had already set up operations in San Francisco.

Campos had just contacted Hawke yesterday. The vengeful Indian hired two private detectives, Garcia and Carlos, and they were driving to San Francisco.

Hawke said, "Tell your people to find a place to put the things, and my people will go and get them when they arrive."

He thought for a moment and then said, "Are the weapons ready?"

"It's ready." Brian has been keeping an eye on this matter recently. "It was obtained from Mexico. The barrel is brand new and has never been fired outside."

Hawke was satisfied: "What about the others?"

Brian knew Hawke was very brave, so he specifically said, "Don't use bombs or anything like that. It will be too troublesome to deal with later."

"Don't worry, I won't do it openly." Hawke said simply: "Shoot from behind or poison."

Brian nodded: "Prepare cyanide."

"Okay." Hawke patted the driver's seat and said, "Savior, you can come over later."

Edward said, "I understand."

At noon, Jennifer Huey invited Hawke, Brian and Erica to have lunch together.

After arriving at the restaurant, Edward waited for Hawke and Brian to get out of the car and drove away. He called Campos on the way and the two found a place to have lunch together.

…………

Santa Clara, San Francisco Bay Area.

A large commercial vehicle drove into the skate park parking lot and turned into an empty parking space. The driver put on the hood of his sweatshirt, got out of the car, bent down to tie his shoelaces, and stuffed the car keys under the front tire.

After doing all this, the driver slowly stood up and walked out of the parking lot at a leisurely pace. He had checked the area before in a different outfit, and there was basically no surveillance along the way.

Not long after, the man disappeared into the night.

In a motel in San Jose, Carlos and Garcia, with big beards on their faces, have been in San Francisco for a few days.

They took the deposit given by Lanham and came here in advance to prepare for the trip.

The two went out during the day and came back at night, changing their residence every day. They also conducted a series of investigations on BlackRock's San Francisco branch in the Bay Area.

But I never met Douglas Coster in person.

This guy returned to San Francisco and still lived a secluded life. Every day, he drove a bulletproof car directly into the underground parking lot of the heavily guarded office building. When he returned home, the car went directly back to his large villa.

During the few days that the two of them followed him, Douglas went back and forth between the company and home.

It's obvious that this guy is still very cautious even after returning to San Francisco.

Carlos was eating dinner when his cell phone suddenly rang with a text message alert.

The text message came from a newly activated mobile phone number, with only one sentence on it: "Santa Clara, skate park, take St. Thomas Avenue, license plate number..."

Garcia wolfed down his sandwich, drank a can of Coke, and asked, "Any news?"

Carlos showed him the message and deleted it: "Gone."

The two quickly finished their meal, cleaned up the room carefully, went downstairs and out of the motel, drove the second-hand Cherokee they bought in Tracy, and headed for Santa Clara.

The two small towns are close to each other. It didn't take long for the two to enter the city of Santa Clara, turn onto St. Thomas Avenue, and quickly find the skate park.

But they did not go over immediately. Instead, they circled around twice to make sure no one was watching. Then one of them got out of the car early and walked to the park parking lot, while the other drove and watched the surroundings from a distance.

After receiving the notification from Garcia that there was nothing unusual, Carlos entered the parking lot, found the commercial vehicle, took out the key from under the front tire, opened the door, got in the car, started it, drove out of the parking lot, and returned to the motel in San Jose.

After parking the car, Garcia also got in and searched each seat one by one. He found a bag under each of the two seats.

They each carried a bag and went upstairs back to the room.

In one of the packages were disassembled rifle parts and bullets.

There were also sealed boxes containing cyanide.

Another bag contained a lot of information, which detailed the places Douglas Coster often visited and the people he frequently contacted.

This was obtained by Brian's people at a great expense of time and money.

Carlos studied the guns while Garcia looked at the information carefully.

The next morning, the two checked out of the hotel with their belongings, drove two cars from San Jose, and came to Sunnyvale, where they met up with Lanham who lived there.

Seeing Carlos and Garcia, Lanham asked, "Any results?"

"We have been observing for many days and have made some discoveries." The things the Garcia family got were regarded as the harvest of the two people in recent days. They placed them in front of Lanham and said, "You spend money, and we do the work."

Lanham looked at these and found that they recorded Douglas' daily work and return home time, people he often contacted, non-company and non-home occasions he went to, and even a female lover.

Although he was eager to avenge his parents, he was unfamiliar with San Francisco and did not make the right choice after seeing all this.

Lanham said, "Let's go to the place above first."

"Sure." Garcia said, "For some reason, Douglas has been very busy lately."

The three of them took a car and drove around the Bay Area, focusing on several places Douglas had visited.

As they were walking back, Carlos said, "After this matter in San Francisco is done, you pay us the balance. We don't know you, and you don't know us."

Lanham still has some common sense: "If all goes well, I will leave America."

He didn't say where he was going, but he had actually already planned it. When he worked for a hunting company in Denver, he would go to Africa many times a year to provide guide and hunting partner services to clients.

After avenging my parents, I have no more ties in America, so I'd better go to Africa.

There are vast grasslands and abundant wild animals over there, where he can live freely.

Back at the motel, the three of them started discussing.

Garcia said: "The location of BlackRock and my home are not suitable for action. The company has an underground garage, which is difficult for us to enter. My home occupies a huge area, and Douglas got out of the car only after the car entered. There are no tall buildings around..."

Lanham was a professional hunter and understood this: "That's true."

Carlos suggested, "There are two places that I think are suitable. One is the Bay Area bar that Douglas used to frequent, and the other is the residence of his lover Natalia."

He took out his phone, opened the photo album, and showed the two the photos he had taken that afternoon. "There are a lot of people in the bar. We can try to poison him. If he takes cyanide, it will be hard to save him."

Garcia asked him to flip through the photos and then said, "Natalia's residence is a sea view villa. There are several taller buildings within 200 meters. We will have the opportunity to attack from a high position."

Carlos asked, "Can you hit him at this distance? Don't look at us, we don't have such shooting skills, and we don't kill people."

“My gun won’t do,” Lanham said.

"You can't use your gun," Garcia said. "It's easy to trace it to you through ballistic analysis."

Lanham said, "Help me get a gun." He then used his most effective trick: "I'll pay more!" (End of this chapter)
