Chapter 67 Battle of Revenge

Chapter 67 Battle of Revenge
The red Wrangler turned off 20th Street and entered the Palisade community. Miller Collins, who was driving, put his right hand on Kevin's leg.

The two smiled at each other with deep affection.

In the traffic, Edward was driving a commercial vehicle, hanging behind not too far away.

In the passenger seat, Hawke was basically certain of the house that Miller Collins was going to rent.

He had made several plans before, corresponding to the seaside, park, house and hotel, etc. The hotel was the least ideal, followed by the house.

In order to avoid arousing suspicion, Kevin cannot directly take people into the wild.

The house was fine, as Hawke had purchased special footrests in advance for climbing lampposts.

The traffic ahead slowed down, and the commercial vehicle also slowed down.

After turning a corner, an aerial work lift appeared in front of us, and workers wearing reflective vests were maintaining the street light poles.

Hawke had seen this car the last time he came here.

So many days have passed and it is still under repair here.

If you work too fast, you may easily lose your job.

Hawke reacted very quickly and said, "I checked Miller's house here. It has a swimming pool in the front yard. Send a message to Kevin and ask him to take Miller to the front yard."

Eric quickly took out his cell phone and quickly typed a text message.

The Wrangler then turned off the road, and Miller pressed the electronic remote, waited for the gate to open, and drove in.

While Miller was parking the car and getting out, Kevin pulled out his vibrating cell phone and quickly glanced at the new text message.

Then, he put away his phone, got out of the car, looked at the blue front yard, and said, "Wow, what a beautiful swimming pool. Can we swim in it later?"

"No problem." Miller pulled Kevin up and left: "Come, I'll show you around the house."

Kevin followed.

Edward parked the car not far from the door.

Eric looked toward the house, but the trees and tall black walls blocked his view.

He was worried: "How do we shoot this? Do we break in? Will that bastard have a gun? How about you guys wait here, I'll go in alone with the camera and try."

Hawke grabbed him: "Don't worry."

Eric, eager for revenge, asked, "What should we do?"

Edward continued, "Don't worry, our boss is the best at climbing lamp poles, and his nickname is the lamp pole god of war!"

Eric, who had read many messy works for creative needs, asked, "Climb the light pole and hang people up?"

"No." Edward gestured and said, "Up and down, up and down. The gun is getting calloused and becomes very useful."

Eric said, "But I can't crawl, and I want revenge with my own hands."

Hawke ignored the nonsense and carefully observed that side for a moment. After making sure that no one would come out, he said to Edward, "Drive the car back to the lift truck."

Eric looked at the height of the trees and the black wall in front of him, and recalled the height of the aerial work vehicle. He grabbed Hawke's arm and said, "You are a genius!"

Hawke stopped thinking about the pedals and said, "You will be controlling the camera and filming it yourself in a while, so you can let out all your frustrations."

Eric thought of the humiliation of being pinched and slandered, and punched the back of the seat hard, saying hatefully: "I'm going to bring that bastard to ruin!"

Edward drove back and the commercial vehicle stopped near the lift.

Hawke got out of the car and walked over there.

The Mexican worker wearing a hard hat shouted: "Dangerous work, leave here, don't come over here!"

Hawke said loudly: "Who is your leader? I want to discuss a business deal."

Edward and Eric followed from behind, the former with his hands on his hips shouting, "Do you want to get rich? If you do, come quickly."

Behind the cone barrel, a huge black man raised his helmet, looked at Hawke first, then his eyes fell on Edward, and he responded with a curl of his thick lips: "Savior, it's you, you bastard!"

Edward was slightly surprised when he heard the familiar voice. He waited until Old Black came closer before he said, "Bull Daddy?"

Old Black stepped over the cone and came to Edward. "I thought I had seen the wrong person, but it turned out to be you, savior. Are you still harming those women?"

Edward argued: "I am saving them, okay? Without my comfort, they will dry up in loneliness."

Hawke was somewhat surprised that the leader, Old Black, actually knew the savior, but since he had met the person already, he had to use him.

He coughed slightly.

Edward quickly introduced the two parties: "This is my current boss, and this is my former boss, Old Bull. He used to do landscaping maintenance, but I didn't expect to change his career."

Hawke made it short: "Let me discuss a deal and borrow your lift truck for two hours at most."

Bull Daddy was a businessman, so he offered directly: "1000 dollars." He pointed at Edward and said: "This is for the sake of your savior."

Eric didn't say a word. He took out a wad of cash from his pocket, counted out some and stuffed it into the hands of Bull Daddy: "You will work for us for the next two hours." Bull Daddy collected the money and shouted to the back: "Guys, let's call it a day and follow me."

Hawke asked, "Do you still have the work clothes and hard hats? One for each person."

Police cars patrol the wealthy areas from time to time.

Money makes things easier. Bull Dad happily took work clothes, safety helmet and reflective vest from the car.

Hawke put one on himself, and Eric and Edward each put one on as well.

The Mexican driver then retracted the lifting bucket, and the other workers put the cone bucket back on the car.

Bull Dad got on a pickup truck and a lift truck, and drove forward along with the commercial vehicle.

Three vehicles were parked in front of a light pole near the Miller house.

Hawke vaguely saw a black and white car approaching in the distance, and reminded Edward and Eric: "Work, don't talk."

The three men put on safety helmets and, like other workers, moved the cones from the truck and placed them around the lift.

The patrol car slowly drove over, the passenger window rolled down, and a middle-aged black police officer poked his head out and asked, "Bull, is the progress faster today?"

Bull's father waved his hand and said, "Do a little here, a little there, and try to work longer. If you work too fast, you won't make any money and the Bulls will go bankrupt."

"I won't disturb you while you're working." The black police officer rolled up the car window.

The police car accelerated and quickly left the area.

Hawke returned to the car, took out the camera, handed it to Eric, looked at the lifting bucket, and asked, "Is it okay? If it really doesn't work, don't force it."

Eric was in a good mood and laughed: "Climbing up and down to shoot is the basic skill of a director. It's not that high. It's a piece of cake."

Hawke said: "You are better at filming than me, I won't say anything else, just be safe, no matter what happens, safety comes first."

Eric responded, "Understood."

When the lift's supporting legs landed on the ground, Bull Daddy had Eric climb into the bucket and had the driver lift it up.

Hawke looked up, pointed to the trees outside the black wall, and said, "The barrel is hidden behind the tree canopy, using branches and leaves as a cover."

Bull Dad immediately asked the driver to do so.

Hawke pulled out Eric's phone and sent Kevin a text message.

The bucket rose higher and higher, and Eric came to the tree canopy. His eyes easily passed through the branches, leaves and black walls and saw the house inside.

In the courtyard in front of the house, the private swimming pool is azure blue, sparkling under the sun.

Eric made an OK gesture to Hawk below, and most of the bucket stopped behind the tree canopy.

He turned on the camera, removed the lens cap, and aimed it at the courtyard, his hands as steady as a rock.

Eric knew very well that Hawke had gone to great lengths to create this good opportunity for him to take revenge himself.

The side door of the house opened at this time, and two men in swimsuits walked towards the swimming pool.

Eric controlled the camera lens, and as the two people walked, their faces were clearly visible in the close-up shot.

The two jumped into the pool, played together, and suddenly hugged each other.

Kevin kept backing away and sat on the poolside table.

Miller leaned forward and lowered his head...

Eric zoomed in again, still filming.

After an unknown amount of time, Miller raised his head and wiped the corner of his mouth with his hand.

At this moment, he suddenly noticed the reflection and quickly turned his head to look over there. He saw a guy standing on a lift behind the tree canopy outside the black wall, carrying a camera and filming this side.

Miller pointed over there and shouted, "Stop hitting me, asshole! Stop it! Stop it!"

Eric was a little panicked when he saw that he was discovered, and he quickly shouted to the people below: "Quick, put me down, he has discovered me."

The bucket slowly descended.

Inside the black wall, Miller knew something was wrong and pulled Kevin, "Go into the house quickly."

Kevin is an actor, and he acted even more panicked than Miller. He even fell down on his way over.

Miller returned to the room, put on his clothes hastily, and made a phone call.

Kevin looked flustered and didn't know what to do.

Miller put down his phone and said comfortingly: "Don't worry, it's okay, I can handle it."

Then, he took out a gift box and stuffed it into Kevin's hand: "No matter what happens, don't say anything."
