Chapter 716 Jin Misha's Love
Chapter 716 Jin Misha's Love
Jin Misha had seen Odin before, even many times, so she was stunned for a moment.
She was absolutely certain that this was Odin.
But how is this possible?
Almost instantly, the intense dizziness disappeared along with the sounds around me.
Her vision was compressed, reduced to just the tall, armored humanoid figure in front of her, stirring up corners of her memory: every back-to-back battle in Limbo, every banter and tickling each other in Silla.
She was stunned, stunned for a long time, until the image in her mind froze on the endless radiance and mad fire rising from Ji Li's corpse, and the maniacal laughter of the Inscription Knight seemed to still echo in her ears.
Jin Misha stumbled to her feet, then abruptly stood up, taking steps back, instinctively wiping away the warm liquid that had somehow trickled down her face.
"Wow, White Rabbit, am I dreaming...? How did Old Ji end up here?"
The white rabbit said, "Idiot, you're not dreaming! He's not dead! He's not dead! He's still my husband!"
However, although Jin Misha was asking questions, she couldn't hear any sound except from Ji Li at that moment.
Her limbs were weak and sore, and her bones were as brittle as rusted scaffolding with loose screws, yet she still had to forcefully maintain their support and joint function.
She felt dizzy and short of breath, and it took her a long time to recover.
Then she saw Odin's body flashing like a black hole, and a particularly familiar figure was revealed in the shrinking spiritual phenomenon, but he was wearing a white coat, and he seemed to come up and poke her butt with a needle. After being beaten by her, the clinic doctor could only poke his arm:
"Old Ji?"
Ji Li opened his arms: "Give me a hug?"
Her dark gray pupils dilated and contracted; her memories told her that Ji Li was dead.
Her soul trigger told her that the being before her was a genuine Dead Apostle.
But her judgment told her that every micro-expression in the other person's smile was so familiar, and there was no doubt that this was Ji Li.
Aside from the fact that he had become more handsome and was wearing a white coat, he was just the Ji Li she knew.
Once her brain picked up on this neural signal, her body started automatically.
Just as those nerves automatically meshed together, driven by rapidly secreted hormones and surging spiritual energy, an instinctive reaction was born in the individual "Jin Misha" that required absolutely no thought:
She rushed forward and hugged Ji Li tightly. Her mind was still questioning his identity, but tears were already streaming down her face. She buried her face in his white coat and cried her heart out.
"Old Ji, I miss you so much... Old Ji, I miss you so much... I miss you so much..."
Ji Li was slightly taken aback. In fact, he had imagined what it would be like to see Rabbit Girl again.
Based on this guy's childish behavior, all he'll do is hug him and cry his heart out, and then, after learning the truth, continue to cry and beat him up.
He simply underestimated the water content in this guy's body and the decibels his vocal cords could reach.
The spiritual energy that was thrown into chaos the moment it saw him appear also allowed him to clearly and precisely capture every change in the other person's emotions.
Without a doubt, Rabbit Girl and his experiences represent the most important part of this world.
But compared to the bonds he had formed in his centuries of memories and the new memories he had acquired, she seemed so insignificant.
To Odin, the Ascended One, she was just a little girl who had special feelings for him.
She is a friend, a comrade-in-arms, a teammate, a good brother with whom you can eat, drink and have fun, and also someone you have an ambiguous relationship with.
But the most fundamental underlying logic is that, in his eyes, she was just a little girl.
The boasting and banter, the harmonious integration with her environment—all stemmed from the Ascended Odin's indulgence of a lovely friend, a sexy romantic interest, and a reliable teammate. In a way, this affection could even be described as "doting."
This is my "girl," Ji Li could say.
But for Jin Misha, Ji Li's "my girl" definitely does not represent his "lover" or his "girlfriend".
This was a female soul he protected, a soul he cherished.
He doesn't mind having a bed partner with any friend, comrade, or romantic interest, but he absolutely doesn't have a "girlfriend."
He had long been accustomed to defining relationships with the opposite sex as "friends" + "bed partners," or "colleagues" + "bed partners," or "women attracted to me" / "allies" / "friends for life" + "bed partners."
To this soul, who has experienced countless bonds and been tormented by them, a girlfriend is meaningless, and a lover is more of a source of amusing humor. If there must be a word to represent the object of one's romantic love, then it must be "soulmate," for the Ascended Odin's requirements are demanding and complex.
At least in terms of emotions, that's how Ji Li sees it.
He has the pride of a god, so how deep must your feelings be to truly sway the heart of a god?
He could spoil and adore Rabbit Girl, but he didn't think it fit his definition of love.
However, at this moment, the salt water that instantly soaked his clothes, the other party's desperate cries, and the spiritual fluctuations that even an immortal would find loosened.
These B-related actions are telling Ji Li that she is currently experiencing happiness and sadness, excitement and pain, grievance and joy, and that this guy might truly love her.
Did it begin when her name was written on the compensation bill, or when the camaraderie or brotherhood turned sour?
So he gently put one arm around the guy's waist, touched his soft and elastic waist, and hugged him tightly.
His other hand was rubbing her head, as if comforting a lost little girl:
"Idiot, who told you to break the SIM card?"
Jin Misha cried even louder, hugging him tightly, acting coquettishly towards the god, and asking him for something.
Bai Misha was initially very angry and told her not to hug her husband, but Jin Misha was crying so hard that she had never seen herself cry like that in her life, so she walked away grumbling.
Although she kept talking, she decided to be a little more tolerant and give her some space.
As for Virtue beside him, he was still in a daze.
His thinking started from:
"I feel so dizzy, I'm going to throw up."
He exclaimed, "Damn it, Evil Lord!"
Then came the comment: "Holy crap, is this the power of a top-tier Netherworld Immortal?"
Finally: "Is this woman a sea monster?"
Aside from a water monster, what kind of creature could simultaneously possess the power to control large volumes of water and high-decibel sounds?
Gradually, Misa cried herself to sleep.
She hugged Ji Li tightly, her shoulders trembling, then looked up and asked:
"Am I dreaming?"
Ji Li said no, and if you don't believe me, I'll slap you.
Misa said no, she wanted me to bite my tongue.
Ji Li agreed.
This was the first time Ji Li had indulged her such intimate and impolite request under such urgent circumstances.
Perhaps because of the crying, the rabbit's body temperature was as low as a corpse's.
She was still savoring the experience, her heart pounding.
The act of kissing melts away the loneliness and pain of the long journey, turning into sweet honey that seeps into the depths of the soul, leaving the whole body warm and cozy. There is no more comfortable haven than the other person's embrace.
At this moment, an oblivious person appeared, and the door was opened due to the hurried footsteps and intense spiritual fluctuations.
Ji Li, who had been on high alert, was about to return to Odin mode, but after confirming who it was, he simply released Rabbit Girl.
When Cherry and Jasmine rushed in, they saw Rabbit Girl pulling her tongue out of his mouth, like an alien creature that had failed to parasitize.
The two people, who had been excited, thrilled, and had complicated expressions, were instantly stunned.
Because the timeline had converged, they thought there would be a terrible battle here, like a final boss that everyone had to defeat together.
But they didn't expect to see Jin Misha slapping Ji Li's mouth so hard as soon as they walked in. Or was Ji Li actually the real boss?
PS: Actually, I didn't design much of the plot for this chapter about the reunion. I basically just let my mind go and put myself in Ji Li and Rabbit's shoes to have a slightly stream-of-consciousness emotional output.
After finishing writing it, I realized it might have sounded a bit like a pretentious, artsy type?
But I had insomnia last night and haven't slept since. I'll see if I should make any changes tomorrow when my mind is clearer.
