Chapter 79 Remarks on the launch
This book will be on the shelves at 12 a.m. tomorrow, which is after 12 o'clock tonight.

Before the book goes on the shelves, I have something to say to my fellow readers.

After waiting for a long time, I finally got this opportunity.

This book has been criticized continuously since the beginning.

In fact, the target audience of this book is very clear, so clear that just by taking a look at my introduction, you will know whether this book suits everyone's taste.

I just want to write a simple, straightforward, and fast-paced novel.

This is a book with a slow pace, reasonable research, and clever stimuli. There are many starting points, and I really enjoy reading it.

But I hope that my book can bring satisfaction to my readers in the shortest possible time.

Make readers feel that the time they spend on my book is well spent.

I think the highest praise for this book is: this is a qualified and refreshing novel.

Every time I see comments like this in the comment section, I feel happy from the bottom of my heart.

My original intention in writing this book remains clear, which is to write a simple, straightforward and enjoyable novel.

All plots are designed to create the most exciting moments, and everything else has to give way to it.

I kept this firmly in mind and dared not waver in the slightest.

So the rhythm of this book before it is put on the shelves will also be the same after it is put on the shelves.

Write whatever you like before it’s put on the shelves, and do the same after it’s put on the shelves.

At least I think my storyline is pretty cool.

Because when I think about the plot myself, I feel so excited that I tremble.

This book has no literary aspirations and no historical baggage.

It is a pastime for readers to relax after their busy daily study and work.

Does this book achieve that?
When I looked at the comments in the comment section, I felt that I had done it.

For the chapters that will be put on the shelves later, I will continue to persevere as always, all for the purpose of writing the most exciting plot.

I know that many big readers don’t comment or vote when reading books. They just read quietly and subscribe.

The voices of these silent readers will not be reflected in the comments, but only in the subscription data and follow-up data.

I am very grateful to the readers who support me in the comment section, and I will never forget the readers who follow me silently.

These are my bread and butter. As long as the number of followers and subscribers remains, it doesn’t matter how harshly they are scolded in the comment section.

Many of the books published at the same time as me are not stupid or lame, they are logical and consistent with historical facts.

But with everyone's support, this book was still published in Sanjiang.

This was a pleasant surprise, and thinking about it now still seems like a dream.

So I firmly believe that this book has a market, that there are readers who love to read it, and that there are readers who are willing to pay for it.

I only serve readers who are willing to pay and I am responsible to them.

So I want to emphasize again that this is a simple, straightforward and enjoyable novel.

At the same time, I would like to respond to the two points that have been criticized the most.

The first point is that I whitewashed Ming Yingzong Zhu Qizhen.

To be honest, Zhu Qizhen could be either a wise ruler or a foolish one.

I don't care at all.

I mentioned before that this book has no literary aspirations and no sense of historical responsibility.

I am just a novelist. No matter how whitewashed Zhu Qizhen is, he will never crawl out of the ground and reward me with the position of historian.

I only care about whether my subsequent plot can continue the style of the previous article and implement the word "cool" unswervingly.

And in the subsequent plot that was so exciting that it made my scalp tingle, there was a part about the Tumu Incident.

And this part of the plot is the premise that can make people feel refreshed.

The Tumu Incident was a mutiny launched by collusion between civil officials, border generals, imperial harem and relatives of the emperor, rather than a simple military defeat.

Of course, it was Zhu Qizhen's own fault that he was deceived by civil officials and border generals.

My purpose in writing about the Battle of Tumu is just that simple.

It is precisely because of this premise that I mentioned more in the previous article.

Because the history of the Tumu Incident is not logically coherent, whether viewed from the "History of Ming Dynasty", "Ming Shilu", "Guoqie", or from the "Tianhuang Yudie" circulated on the Internet.

Judging from the version that is currently circulating, I think Yesen is happier than the protagonist of my book.

When Temujin Borjigin came, he could only lead the horse for Yesen.

Therefore, in the subsequent plot, I can only use another version of the Battle of Tumu for the sake of my plot. Just enjoy it after watching it, and don't take it seriously.

If you really want to read history, just read history books.

As for whether you believe it or not, it all depends on your own judgment.

Dear readers, please don't take historical novels too seriously.

History is a little girl who can be dressed up by anyone.

What historical events and historical figures are like all depend on how people in later generations need them to be.

It's just because of some need that historical figures are brought out, dressed up, and put on stage to entertain guests.

Different locations have different needs.

It's just a pastime, everyone can just watch it for fun, there's no need to make a big deal out of it.

The second point is about the silver issue in the mid-Ming Dynasty.

Many comments said that the amount of silver seized from Ming Dynasty officials during property searches was too little, and that each official should have embezzled tens of thousands of taels.

Heavenly Bodhisattva!
Since its founding, the Ming Dynasty has always been short of gold and silver.

Silver was only used in a very limited area, and more than 90% of the people in the Ming Dynasty used copper coins. Otherwise, after Zhu Yuanzhang established the country, he would not have collected taxes but collected in kind.

The salaries of ministers would not be paid based on the amount of stone of rice.

I mentioned in the article that of the autumn taxes collected by the court in the first year of the Hongzhi reign, only 50,000 taels of gold and silver were in kind, and the rest were in kind.

In the 18th year of Hongzhi, after Emperor Wuzong of the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Houzhao, ascended the throne, he wanted to bury Zhu Youtang and went to the Ministry of Revenue to ask for silver. It turned out that the Ministry of Revenue only had one million taels of silver in its Taicang warehouse.

It was during the Chenghua period that Zhu Jianshen got some silver, which allowed Zhu Youtang to have three or four million taels of silver in Taicang after he ascended the throne.

The first large influx of silver into the Ming Dynasty occurred after the opening of the port during the Longqing period.

After the opening of the port during the Longqing reign, the official record showed that 3.4 million taels of silver flowed into the Ming Dynasty.

Including the money for embezzlement and smuggling, I think the number will not be less than 6 million taels.

Therefore, it was not until the Longqing period that Ming officials had large amounts of silver.

It was only after Zhang Juzheng had sufficient silver that he began to implement the Single Whip System and the silver standard.

By the tenth year of the Wanli reign, the annual tax revenue of the Taicang warehouse of the Ministry of Revenue of the Ming Dynasty was 408 million taels of silver, and the income of the imperial treasury was more than one million taels.

At this time, all taxes collected were in silver.

Before that, in the 44th year of Jiajing's reign, Yan Song and his son Yan Shifan had their homes ransacked.

A total of 30,000 taels of gold and 2.5 million taels of silver were seized, which was enough to write a book called "Tianshui Bingshanlu".

The first year of the Hongzhi reign was more than seventy years earlier than the forty-fourth year of the Jiajing reign.

Compared with the 1950s, the silver from the first year of the Hongzhi reign must be more valuable now.

Even if officials try to be extremely greedy, they probably won't be able to take much.

So before the opening of the city during the Longqing reign, was there any place in the Ming Dynasty where there was a huge amount of silver?

Have!
But it was definitely not in the hands of Beijing officials, but in the hands of smuggling groups and gentry and landlords in the south of the Yangtze River.

This is another subsequent, even more exciting plot.

I have written so much to express my gratitude for the release of this product.

Actually, I didn’t want to make any explanation, but there have been a lot of comments on these two issues, so I have to speak out.

We apologize if any offense was caused.

This is the first time for the newbie to go online, and I feel very nervous.

Before putting it on the shelves, I still want to ask for a first order and a full order.

If the big guys who want to support books can open a custom order, it would be great.

It will be on the shelves tomorrow, and there will be crazy updates!
Around 12:05 am tomorrow, six chapters will be uploaded in one go, each chapter consisting of 4,000 words, for a total of 24,000 words!
The first order exceeded one thousand on the same day, and two additional chapters of 4,000 words were added!

The first order exceeded 2,000 on the same day, and two more chapters of 4,000 words were added!
The first order on that day exceeded 3,000, and then...

No more.

I only have 40,000 words of manuscripts in reserve.

And it’s impossible for the current result to exceed 3,000 orders. I’ll be happy if I can get 1,000.

If I get 2,000 orders and drain all my manuscripts, I will be so happy that I will fly.

So tomorrow, don’t feel sorry for me, don’t pity me, just drain my saved manuscripts!
After it was put on the shelves, two chapters were still updated every day, but all of them were chapters of 3,000 words, which was equivalent to 6,000 words updated every day.

If I really can’t write anymore, I will update two chapters of 2,000 words each.

The minimum update is 4,000 words every day.

Because I really can't write this book fast, many times while I was writing, I deleted the words that I thought were nonsense.

I just want to explain everything in the minimum number of words, and then start having fun.

This way, I feel good when writing, and my readers also feel good when reading.

Before I knew it, I have written so many words in my thank you note for the product being put on the shelves.

As expected, he was a newbie with no experience in listing products on shelves. He was so busy chatting that he even forgot to do the most important thing.
