Red Dragon has magic

Chapter 25 Ghost Woman

Chapter 25 Ghost Woman
Ordinary people most likely wouldn't recognize a gnoll. Only monsters would likely accept a gnoll.

Among the many monsters, there is only one that likes to be called "Aunt", and that is the witch.

A ghost woman, a symbol of evil and cruelty.

They look like skinny old women, but in fact they are extraordinary monsters with vicious hearts. They possess magical powers and spell-like abilities. They are keen on changing their appearance and disguise themselves as a kind old woman to seduce ignorant people.

Hags are nearly immortal, outliving even dragons and elves. Lower-ranking but still respected hags are called aunts, while the oldest, wisest, and most powerful hags are called grandmothers by other hags, and some grandmothers are as powerful as some of the Supreme Fey.

"The Aunt Peggy you are talking about is a witch, right?" Thinking of this, Leon asked.

"Aunt Peggy doesn't like people calling her a hag..." The kobold looked around, as if he was afraid that the hag would suddenly jump out from the shadows and strangle him to death with her long claws. However, after taking a look at the red dragon standing in front of him, he immediately regained his courage.

The ghost woman that the weak kobolds knew couldn’t be too strong. Leon didn’t care about the kobolds’ reminder and said, “What ghost woman? A green ghost woman or a demon ghost woman?”

There are many kinds of hags. Night hags mainly live in the lower planes, sea hags like to live in gloomy and dirty underwater nests, and winter hags, as their name suggests, live on cold lands... After excluding those hags that are impossible to appear, there are only two types left.

"I don't know." The Kobold shook his head, "Hawks doesn't know."

Leon smiled, he had thought of this result a long time ago.

Hags will change their form and travel to human towns wherever they please.

The most important thing is that hags do use violence against smaller foes, such as children, or defenseless foes, such as sleeping people, but in most cases prefer cajoling and bargaining rather than using violent actions against others.

Leon gently wagged the tip of his tail, thought for a moment and said, "Okay, take me to see it."

"I know, Aunt Peggy, lead the way." A kobold jumped up and wanted to pick peaches.

"Go to hell." Hawks raised his javelin and hit the ogre's head hard. The credit for helping the red dragon belonged to him alone.

Leon ignored the internal strife among the kobolds and asked, "Is it far?"

"Far away." Hawks defeated the other kobolds. "Aunt Peggy lived in the place where we used to live... There were people there often, and they beat us, so we moved here. There are no people here, no one beats us, and there are no bears. There is still an owner."

"No, I'm not your master, I never promised you." Leon didn't want any followers, he hated trouble.

This is what a dog licker is like. Even if he knows that the goddess only comes to him when she has something to do, he is still very happy. As a dog licker of the dragon, the dog-headed man is naturally no different. Hawks is eager to serve Leon and said, "When are we going to find Aunt Peggy?"

Leon looked up at the sky. The moon had just risen. He said, "Wait, I'll come find you."

Leon went back to pack up, for example, taking his sword, otherwise it would be difficult to summon it if the distance was too far... Yes, his sword is a little small to use now, but it can still be used. It is not as good as his sharp teeth and claws in close combat, but it can be used for long-range attacks when combined with sword-controlling skills.

Leon turned back to find the dog-headed man. He had thought about taking the dog-headed man to fly to the destination in one go, but the dog-headed man didn't know the way in the air. There were no small ditches, strange rocks, and dead trees that could be easily identified, so he couldn't find the way back. There was no other way, so Leon could only follow the dog-headed man and walk slowly, over mountains and ridges, and around and around, until he arrived at the side of a mountain in the middle of the night.

As we walked along the steep mountain road, we could see small stone cairns everywhere. The kobolds were keen on picking up trash, so they would turn over any stone cairns they came across, but there was nothing there except strange bones.

Because of the sharp gravel on the ground, the kobolds would hold their feet and jump from time to time. However, the gravel that was strong enough to cut the kobolds' soles was just a little painful to Leon, for the simple reason that the hard scales and thick skin on the soles of his feet were difficult to cut with a knife.

"Aunt Peggy's cottage is just ahead." The kobold suddenly shouted.

Lyon looked in the direction of the kobold's finger and saw a small house with beautiful exterior decoration and warm yellow light shining through the windows.

"Look, who's coming?" The tall old woman looked strangely kind as she held the door and shouted, "Is it the lost traveler?"

"Is there anything Grandma Peggy can help you with?"

"No, it's me, Aunt Peggy," the kobold said loudly. "Hawks."

"Oh, it's you, little guy." Aunt Peggy's voice was full of disgust. "How long have you not come to visit your Aunt Peggy and bring your Aunt Peggy... a dragon? Look what you brought. You brought a dragon!"

The tall old woman suddenly turned into a tall monster.

The monster's shriveled face was covered with long, torn hair, its pockmarked purple skin had scary moles and tumors, its claws were like rusty blades, decorated with bones, minced meat, and all kinds of filthy things, even with a hunched back, it was still nearly three meters tall, much taller than Leon who stood less than two meters tall.

It was a demon hag, the tallest and strongest of the hags. Leon recognized it at a glance. It sat back in a show of defiance, stood up using its hind legs and tail, raised its neck high, and spread its wings. The red dragon had the longest wings among the colored dragons, and it looked like a small house at this time.

Leon was wary of the hag, but in fact the hag was more wary of him. Who dares to underestimate a red dragon, even if it is just a young dragon?

"Dragon, Red Dragon, what do you want from Aunt Peggy?" The witch completely ignored the dog-headed man, her eyes focused on Leon, her hand touching the belt that was hung with strange ornaments, "Little scoundrel, if you want to rob your Aunt Peggy... the old dog still has a few teeth."

As soon as Aunt Peggy finished speaking, the crows cawed twice and then flew away with a loud noise. Two three-meter-tall ogres holding huge clubs walked out of the darkness.

"Let me introduce you. These are my bodyguards and thugs." The witch introduced them with her hands dancing, "Stupid Apu and Fool Fank."

"Are you afraid now?" the witch shouted.

Leon spat out the sword he had been biting.

“No, I’m not afraid at all, but what I want to say is that I’m not here to rob you, Aunt Peggy.” Leon said. He came here to ask for help, so he wouldn’t be so disrespectful as to call her a witch. “I’m here to do business with you.”

"I like business." Aunt Peggy immediately changed her face to a flattering one, "My baby."
