Red Dragon has magic

Chapter 29 After the War

Chapter 29 After the War
The corpse of the witch turned into charcoal and there was no movement at all, but Leon was still a little worried.

He raised one claw and poked it hard, but there was no response. He simply used both claws to tear the charred body apart, revealing the unburnt meat that emitted a pungent smell. He was finally relieved.

Although he spoke powerfully, Lyon actually felt a little guilty.

That was a hag who could make nest movements, and was undoubtedly more powerful than a normal hag. At the same time, the battle took place on the hag's territory... If the hag insisted on fighting a guerrilla war with him, using all kinds of potions and weird magic props, it would be hard to say who would win in the end.

It really all depends on the Samadhi True Fire, which can not only burn external objects and burn souls, but also... This is the value of the advanced reward supernatural power. The more you dig, the more you get. However, the consumption is too great. As a big move, you dare not use it casually without the certainty of hitting the target. Once it does not work, you have to consider escaping.

Lyon took a good rest and took a breath.

He hadn't expected that the witch was so powerful, but he was still better than her. When the strange feeling of lingering fear and excitement after winning gradually subsided, Leon finally remembered something important.

He defeated such a powerful evil ghost, but he didn't even hear the familiar ding-dong sound. It has been several years since he last obtained the Samadhi True Fire and he hasn't gained anything. This golden finger has become a little slack.

The golden finger did not move, and Leon had no idea what to do. He turned around and looked at the charcoal he had just torn apart... The witch's strange ornaments made of bones, teeth and wood were all burned by the Samadhi True Fire, and not a single one was left.

I discovered another drawback of the Samadhi True Fire. It is too powerful. Unless you don't want the spoils, use it with caution.

Leon decided to go to Aunt Peggy's cottage and suddenly found the little girl that the witch had originally intended to give to him. Surprisingly, the little girl was not affected by the battle, so he was a little lucky.

No matter how other red dragons view humans, Leon does not accept cannibalism and does not forget his roots.

He didn't know how to heal, so he carefully lifted the little girl's legs and shook them. A strange black ball fell out of the little girl's mouth... Was that the poison that the witch prepared for him? If he had eaten the little girl, he would have had to fight the witch in a poisoned state.

The little girl didn't wake up for a long time, so Leon just put her aside and crawled to Aunt Peggy's cottage. He stood up and lifted the roof. He just took a quick look and before he could take anything, he saw a group of mice running away frantically. A blanket flew up and entangled his hands.

Stuffing Blanket - Apprentice thieves and careless adventurers searching enemy territory may forget about the animated blanket under their feet and be suffocated to death by being rolled up tightly.

The witch can be called an enemy, and the suffocating blanket is at most a diversion. Leon grabbed the suffocating blanket and tore it in two with a little force. Then he felt a little regretful and wondered if he could take it away and use it as a trap in his nest.

Moldy fruits and vegetables.

Cheese infested with maggots.

Lyon flipped through it briefly but didn't see anything valuable.

"Aunt Peggy."

"We're back!"

Suddenly, shouts came from far away and gradually approached.

Leon turned around and saw that it was Aunt Peggy's two thugs who came back.

They were just two ogres. Leon didn't need to be on high alert. His mind was now focused on collecting spoils. He had no interest in the two fools. He stretched out his hand and summoned the sword to fly into his hand. He shouted, "Aunt Peggy is dead. Do you want to avenge her?"

"Revenge," said an ogre.

"Who killed Aunt?" asked another ogre.

"I, I killed Aunt Peggy." Leon shouted at the two ogres, raised his sword and swung it at them, "Come here if you want to die."

"I don't want to die." An ogre held his head, "Apu doesn't want to die."

"Fank doesn't want to die either." said another ogre.

“Then get out of here.” Leon flapped his wings and created a gust of wind, blowing up dust and fallen leaves.

"Go away, we will go away now, don't kill us." The two ogres actually rolled on the ground, one lying down and the other rolling forward. Ogres are notorious for their sudden tempers. Insults or calling their names can instantly trigger an ogre's anger. At the same time, they are legendary stupidity. Even if you put your hands in front of your eyes, you can't count to ten.

But it was clear that the rage of the ogres varied from person to person, and even the dumbest ones knew how powerful it was to kill Aunt Peggy's dragon, who had been beating and scolding them.

Without waiting for the ogre to disappear, Leon turned around and continued to search.

Desktops, bookcases, cupboards, wooden boxes... Leon searched the entire hut and found a bunch of unfamiliar potions, unfamiliar alchemical materials, dead birds, dried-up toads, and dried-up children's arms. He had no idea what they were for and it looked creepy.

Is that all? A witch who has been running a business for many years is stingy with just these few things.

Nodding, Leon turned around and looked for secret doors and cellars near Aunt Peggy's cabin.

Footprints and weeds that do not sway in the wind reveal the cave hidden behind the illusion.

Leon went into the cave and walked through a long mushroom-covered tunnel that ended in a wide, dirty hole.

An activated empty plate armor made a "clicking" sound and began to move.

The terrifying armor that loyally obeys orders seems to have been made by the hag and placed here as a guard.

The Terror Armor has the thinking of a seasoned warrior when fighting, but it is a construct after all, lacks sufficient wisdom and the ability to perceive and improve its own situation.

Leon easily knocked down the terrifying armor with a swing of his sword, but it took some effort to completely defeat it.

Lyon began to plunder again.

A cauldron of suspicious liquid with a pungent smell.

Unrecognizable animal bones and disgusting hair.

Leather made from human skin.

The thick, dusty book, each page filled with tiny, barely legible words, details what happened in a particular village.

Stinky meat.

A cage with a black cat, a crow and a spider.

Jars containing strange specimens and eyeballs.

There are also skulls that make strange noises.

……

Leon looked around, but all he found were creepy things. He didn't take any of them. What's more, he smashed the screaming skull with his fist and tore up the painting that was staring at him. The only things he got were a few bottles of potions he didn't know what they were used for. The gold coins and gems he found in the corner.

Leon walked out of the cave and found that the unconscious little girl was gone. Judging from the small footprints, she probably woke up and sneaked away. He didn't care too much. He didn't know how to deal with it in the first place, and it was just right that she left now.

Leon packed all the things he had looted into a box, bit the hilt of the sword, hugged the box with both hands, flapped his wings and flew up.

Remembering Aunt Peggy's cabin, the hidden cave, and a whole bunch of stuff he despised, Leon landed near the kobolds' lair and told the kobolds to go over and take a look.

As for those dog-headed men, they ran over and saw treasures in every room and cave... kettles, iron pots, wooden spoons and bowls, bone-cutting knives, etc. Things that were worthless in Leon's eyes were very valuable to them. They kept praising Leon's generosity and pestered him more and more, but that's another story.
