Red Dragon has magic

Chapter 484 Pulling

Chapter 484 Pulling
As soon as Lyon uttered his words, the entire palace fell into a deathly silence. The air seemed to freeze, and there wasn't even a faint sound of breathing.

"What did you say?" Tiamat's pupils contracted slightly upon hearing the name of her nemesis Bahamut, and she let out a deafening roar.

She walked slowly toward Lyon, the sound of her scales rubbing together was particularly eerie. Her five heads stared at Lyon, looking ready to devour him. In the end, she was not blinded by anger and said, "You don't believe that old man's nonsense, do you? You really think he can help you overthrow my authority?"

“Since you’re here and telling me about him, it means you haven’t been misled by him.” Tiamat nodded, a look of approval on his face, and looked at Leon with satisfaction. “Good, very good. It wasn’t in vain that I helped you so much.”

Lyon's throat bobbed when he heard Tiamat's shameless words, but he ultimately remained silent, saying noncommittally, "Of course, I rejected him."

Although Tiamat couldn't possibly settle accounts with Bahamut, deceiving Tiamat wouldn't be easy, so Leon chose to take things out of context, saying, "I am the Red Dragon, I am the Color Dragon, I would never betray the Color Dragon. Traitors have never had a good end."

“Of course I want to become the Dragon God, but definitely not to fight against His Majesty with his help and become some kind of Red Dragon God or Colored Dragon God,” Leon hinted. “Even so, he still supports me in becoming the Dragon God and even gave me a platinum scale to use when I encounter trouble.”

Lyon sheathed his sword, and with a flick of his wrist, the platinum scale lay quietly in his palm.

Tiamat's gaze fell on the platinum scale in Leon's palm, her pupils suddenly shrinking to pinpoints, and a muffled laugh rumbled from her throat as she said, "There's no such thing as a free lunch."

“Unless absolutely necessary, I won’t use that platinum scale. After all, I’m a red dragon, a chromatic dragon.” Leon said, clenching his fist. When he opened it again, his palm was empty; the platinum scale had vanished.

Tiamat was not satisfied with Leon's performance; her vertical pupils gleamed with displeasure as she snapped, "Give it to me."

"A gift given to me by the benevolent dragon god Bahamut, is Your Majesty going to forcibly take it?" Lyon retorted.

"You're still planning to accept that old man's gift?" Tiamat stared intently at Leon, her breath hitting his face. "You have two metal dragon mates and metal dragon subordinates. I didn't ask you to kill them all, but you're getting too cocky and demanding."

“I have three chromatic dragon spouses, three chromatic dragon daughters, and many more chromatic dragon subordinates.” Lyon faced the stench of blood without backing down. “I have never forgotten that I am a red dragon, a chromatic dragon, but is His Majesty pressing me so relentlessly, so eager to push me into the metal dragon camp?”

“Sharp-tongued.” Tiamat’s green dragon head emerged, suddenly letting out a cackling laugh. “I think you’re more like a green dragon than a red one.”

“I am not a green dragon, and I do not like deception,” Leon said, flapping his wings. “I have never thought of siding with the metal dragons, and I have never thought of pledging allegiance to Bahamut.”

“But you haven’t pledged allegiance to me either,” Tiamat grinned.

“I am the Red Dragon, the Colored Dragon, and that will never change.” Leon lowered his eyes.

“Give me that platinum scale, and I will exchange it for a new one that is far more powerful than the one he gave you,” Tiamat conceded.

Lyon trusted Bahamut's character. Unless Bahamut had completely fallen into evil, he would definitely help if Bahamut said so. On the contrary, Tiamat's help would definitely come at a price. But most importantly, he retained the right to choose. Giving the Platinum Scale to Tiamat meant that he chose to side with Tiamat. He said, "Can I refuse?"

“I hope you’ve thought this through before you speak,” Tiamat threatened. “I’m sure,” Lyon added. “It’s impolite. It’s impolite to give away what someone gave me. Even if His Majesty had given me a gift, and Bahamut wanted it, I wouldn’t accept it.”

Lyon felt he had made his hints clear enough, and Tiamat definitely understood what he meant. Continuing like this would be pointless, so he decided to take a step back and said, "I came here specifically to visit His Majesty to inform him about Bahamut. If there's nothing else, I'll be leaving."

"I hope we can meet again." Tiamat was used to rebellion; most of the children she took a liking to were quite rebellious.

Tiamat swung her long tail, which was covered in venomous stingers, as she watched Lyon leave the palace.

As Lyon moved away from the palace, an ancient red dragon, jealous of the young red dragon, cautiously approached Tiamat, making uneasy gurgling sounds in its throat, and said, "Is Your Majesty just going to let him leave like this?"

Tiamat glanced at the ancient red dragon, and the white-headed dragon spoke: "I now order you to chase after him, kill him, cut open his chest, and rip out his heart."

The ancient red dragon lowered its head, not daring to speak.

To become an ancient dragon, strength isn't necessary; sometimes, being timid is more important.

“What Bahamut can give, I can give too… What Bahamut can give, I can give. What Bahamut can’t give, I can give.” Tiamat sneered. She had just lost her composure because she was angered by Bahamut’s name. “I’m not afraid of him asking for anything. I’m only afraid that he won’t want anything at all.”

When Tiamat's non-dragon believers die, they appear in her divine realm as slithering, writhing souls. Those she deems particularly valuable are transformed into Abissa dragons to continue serving her; the others are sold to thirsty demon buyers in exchange for jewels and gold.

Tiamat is indifferent to her non-dragon believers, but treats dragons quite differently, especially powerful ones… If it's a red dragon, her favoritism is even greater, bordering on insatiable. The prerequisite is not to side with Bahamut, because traitors are more unforgivable than enemies.

“He’s not an adult yet, he’s still a child, just entering his rebellious phase. He’ll come to his senses and wag his tail, returning to his mother’s embrace,” Tiamat said, flicking her tongue.

The more someone lacks something, the more they flaunt it. Ordinary people often make a big fuss over a matter of face, while experts are not so concerned about face because they have plenty of it.

Tiamat, the queen of the chromatic dragons, the enemy of the gods, the dark lady, the immortal queen, and the scourge of Bahamut, would not fly into a rage and attack a young red dragon for its disobedience.

“Go, catch up with him.” Tiamat looked at the ancient green dragon that had greeted Lyon in her place. “Give it to him. Give him whatever he wants. You have to give to receive.”

A powerful red dragon, and a generous one at that, one who is surprisingly not greedy—there are plenty of dragons who would rather die than give up their wealth—Tiamat will not give up no matter what, she is determined to have it.

Lyon, still a minor and lacking the maturity and experience of time, is far less insightful than Tiamat. He simply has a cheat code, but a cheat code is more useful than anything else.

In short, before Lyon had even left Tiamat's divine realm, while still near Dragon Cliff, he discovered the ancient green dragon hastily pursuing him.
