Honghuang: Senior Brother of the Chan Sect, I am Guangchengzi

Chapter 257: Dayu Controls the Flood and the Emperor Falls

Chapter 257: Dayu Controls the Flood and the Emperor Falls

Time flies, and more than three hundred years have passed in the blink of an eye.

During these three hundred years, Zhuanxu abdicated and passed the throne to his son Emperor Ku, who then passed it to his son Emperor Yao.

After Emperor Yao abdicated, the teachings of Western religions completely flowed into the human race. Humans accepted this tradition very quickly, and even gave rise to two branches, one is Tantric Buddhism and the other is Zen Buddhism.

Tantric Buddhism is the orthodox Western religion, while Zen Buddhism was developed by the orthodox teaching, simply because during this period, Western religions liked to associate with the orthodox teaching the most.

Whether it was Medicine Master, the teacher of Emperor Zhuanxu, Maitreya, the teacher of Emperor Ku, or Ksitigarbha, the teacher of Emperor Yao, they would invite one or two immortals to come out of the mountains from time to time, one to ask for help, and the other to bestow favors on the other party.

During this period, various teachings of the Chan school inevitably spread out. After being learned by some people, they mistakenly thought that Chan was Zen, and thus established the Zen sect.

The purpose of Zen Buddhism is not to establish words, but to point directly to people's hearts, to see the nature and become a Buddha. In other words, everything is implied without words, and as long as you understand it, you can get everything.

Because Zen Buddhism was established at a time when the four great immortals, Cihang Taoist, Juliusun, Samantabhadra and Manjusri Bodhisattva, came out of the mountains, so these four people were the most concerned about Zen Buddhism.

Guangchengzi saw all of this and his heart was slightly moved, but in the end he didn't do much and just suppressed his emotion for the time being.

The four religions of Human Religion, Orthodox Religion, Demon Religion, and Western Religion were in the limelight during the period of the Three Sovereigns and Three Emperors. It was not until Shun came to power that these four religions began to slowly withdraw from the center of the human race and instead started to develop their own forces.

As the eldest disciple of the Human Religion, Master Xuandu was extremely carefree, or it could be said that he simply did not notice the people in the Yan Emperor Tribe.

As early as when Shennong abdicated, he went to Mount Shouyang to practice, and from time to time he went to the underworld to discuss Taoism with Guangchengzi. He was so happy and carefree that he naturally didn't want to care about these troubles.

Therefore, the Yan Emperor tribe merged with the Huang Emperor tribe to become the Yanhuang tribe, and was moved to a more eastern area by Guangchengzi, and no longer stayed on the coast of the East China Sea.

Later, the tribes of the Three Emperors were also taught by the Western religion and moved to the West, and in the end all that was left for the Jie Religion was a mess.

After Shun became the leader of the human race, he thought that the transition would be as peaceful as before. However, just ninety years into his reign, floods suddenly began to appear everywhere in the world.

The flood came unexpectedly and was unstoppable. The human race, which had been making progress, was immediately destroyed and there were constant wailing everywhere.

Shun was shocked and immediately sent people to control the flood, thinking that this was only a temporary disaster. However, the flood continued to rage and even had a tendency to intensify.

After he used the Eight Trigrams passed down by the Emperor Fuxi, he found that the water showed almost no signs of stopping. The ministers in charge of flood control were helpless and had to return to the tribe to report.

As a last resort, Shun had to ask his own master Duobao for advice.

Duobao also took it very seriously after learning about it, but even if he used his own magical powers to scan the vast wilderness, he could not find out where the flood came from.

In addition, he was not allowed to ask his own master for advice, so he had to gather many fellow disciples together, hoping to discuss a countermeasure.

However, Duobao's question really stumped the Jiejiao immortals. After all, it was fine for them to kill the enemies, but as for them to control the flood, they could only come up with some stupid ideas.

It was either about using magic power to flood the four seas, or using space treasures such as the Qiankun Bag to collect the flood. Duobao frowned when he heard this, but he was helpless and couldn't think of a solution.

In the end, the Three Goddesses worked together and used the Hunyuan Golden Bowl. This bowl was able to contain the vastness of the universe and the four seas, so swallowing up the flood was naturally a piece of cake.

But just because the Hunyuan Golden Bowl can contain it doesn't mean that the Three Goddesses can bear it. However, after just a few days, the youngest, Bixiao, told her that she could not bear it.

Another half month passed, and the same thing happened to Qiongxiao. After half a year, even Queen Yunxiao could no longer bear it and had to apologize to Duobao.

Duobao had no choice but to use various water-avoiding magic treasures to reduce the damage of the flood to the human race. At this time, a mortal volunteered, saying that he had a way to control the flood.

"The reason why the flood occurred is simply because there are not enough mountains. We only need to build mountains everywhere to contain the flood. Then the disaster that hurts people's lives may become an auspicious sign that benefits the world. I am confident that I can resolve this disaster!"

Looking at Dayu who was talking eloquently below, Emperor Shun decided to give it his all and let him control the flood.

Upon seeing this, Daqian was overjoyed and immediately went to the areas prone to floods.

There were also some Jiejiao immortals who had been paying attention to this and followed him quietly, wanting to see how this mortal could control the flood that even they were helpless against.

I saw that Da Tan was holding a ball of five-colored mud in his hand and shot a grain of mud towards one of the places. As soon as the mud landed on the ground, it immediately boomed straight up, as if a miracle had reappeared. In the blink of an eye, a new mountain was created.

With the obstruction of this high mountain, the flood was immediately trapped in one place, and finally fell into the mountain involuntarily, and actually cured a flood. Then Da Tan took the mud and threw it everywhere, and mountains appeared in his hands. In contrast, the various floods in the world began to gradually weaken, which also made the immortals of Jiejiao very impressed.

There were also some knowledgeable immortals who recognized what the five-colored soil was. It was just a little bit of mud left over when Nuwa created the five-colored human race.

These muds have been tempered by the essence of the sun and the moon, and refined by the origin of heaven and earth over a long period of time. Although they have lost the ability to recreate the human race, they have been transformed into treasures that can shape mountains.

However, although these treasures are rare, they are nothing, so no one would care about the mud. Unexpectedly, it allowed Dayan to accomplish this rare feat.

Emperor Shun was naturally very happy about this, and he immediately appointed Dayan as the Minister of Water Conservancy, and the head of all ministers. He enjoyed great honor, and Dayan was really proud for a while.

Unfortunately, the good times did not last long. The floods did not disappear, but instead grew larger. Although blocked by the mountains, the floods showed no signs of stopping.

Until one mountain could no longer bear the rising flood waters and began to collapse, which immediately caused other mountains to collapse as well.

These long-accumulated floods, like evil beasts breaking free from their cages, began to wash away the earth even more crazily.

The original flood was horrific enough, not to mention the flood that had been brewing for so long. Its horror was so great that even some Golden Immortals would retreat.

Da Tan, who had been honored for this, naturally became unlucky. When Emperor Shun learned that the flood had recurred, he was furious. He ignored Da Tan's pleas for mercy and immediately sent someone to chop off his head, killing him instantly.

It is really pitiful that such a great and extraordinary man in the wilderness has ended up like this.

However, among the dead bodies of Dagun, people often heard bursts of crying babies, which made everyone panic and thought that Dagun had turned into a zombie or something like that.

A kind-hearted person couldn't bear to hear the sound, so he took the risk of breaking open the body of the big boar, and found a baby boy crying loudly.

At the same time, the Three Goddesses also instantly realized that the last emperor had been born, and he was born to solve the flood.

The immortals of Jiejiao did not dare to hesitate, and immediately took the baby boy away in a hurry, taught him various magic spells and strategies for flood control, and named him Dayu.

Twenty years later, Emperor Shun passed his position to Dayu. However, when he saw this young man, he felt a little embarrassed. After all, it was he who ordered his father to be beheaded.

However, Dayu did not seem to mind this. After respectfully seeing Emperor Shun off, he immediately led his many tribesmen to start controlling the flood.

Although Dayu obtained the five-colored soil from Dayu, he did not use the soil too much, but said these words to his ministers.

“As the saying goes, it is better to drain than to block. The reason why my father made a mistake is that he believed too much in the method of blocking, but he did not know that water is a flowing thing. If it is blocked by force, it will become stagnant water.

It will also make heaven and earth unhappy, so it is better to sort it out and finally build various waterways to turn it into rivers. This can be regarded as a good way to control water. "

After Dayu finished speaking, he began to lead many ministers to control floods. They dug rivers everywhere along the way to lead the floods into the four seas, and also created countless rivers, lakes and pools to accumulate water on the ground.

The flood became even more terrifying after Dayu's chaos, so even if Dayu was born with the mandate of heaven, it was still very difficult for him to control it and he had no time to take care of other things.

Once, in order to control the water in a river, he passed by his home three times, but he never went in once. This shows how determined he was to control the water.

Yunxiao once advised Dayu, "You don't have to waste time going home to see your wife and children. Why don't you go in and help them relieve their homesickness? Your master is here. You can go in and relax for a while."

Dayu said: "I am the leader of the human race, so I will naturally sacrifice my last drop of blood and tears for the human race. I can indeed reunite with my family, and even ignore these floods and just focus on my hometown.

But those tribesmen whose homes were destroyed by the flood no longer have their hometowns, and are separated from their families, or even separated from them forever.

Whenever I think of these tribesmen, my heart becomes extremely sad. Even the pain of missing them cannot suppress the sadness. So I must do it. This is my duty as the common leader.

If I were not the co-leader, I could abandon the important task, but because I am the co-leader, I cannot set a bad example. This is how I was born."

After hearing this, let alone the Three Sky, even the other four direct disciples felt ashamed. After all, when it comes to the determination to practice Taoism, they are not as good as this mortal.

By the time Dayu finished his flood control work, he had become a white-haired old man. Finally, under the gaze of the immortals, he sat on his chariot drawn by a thousand dragon horses with a smile on his face and headed towards the Fire Cloud Cave.
