Night without Borders

Chapter 324 Time waits for no one

Chapter 324 Time waits for no one
In this late autumn season, there is already a chill in the air.

Dark clouds loomed overhead, and raindrops pattered down, scattering the yellow leaves from the dense forest.

The humanoid war beast glowed in the night. Its six-meter-tall body was strong and powerful, with bulging muscle lines like coiled dragons. It approached step by step in the heavy rain, giving the area an indescribable sense of oppression.

As its heavy footsteps landed, the ground trembled slightly, mud and water splashed everywhere, and its breath caused the rain curtain to burst open, turning into a large cloud of white mist.

Qin Ming stood in the heavy rain, his body burning hot, with a constant flow of heat surging through his limbs and bones—a medicine taking effect.

It's still from Helian Zhaoyu's collection; that bottle of blue ointment can unleash a person's full potential in battle!

However, he frowned, as his physical strength had not undergone a qualitative change.

Today, he took a much larger dose than during the last drug trial, but the effect was the same as before.

Deep in the night sky, Qin Ming's main consciousness had a different feeling, and his own power had increased significantly.

"Helian Zhaoyu is pursuing the path to immortality, and the precious medicines he has prepared focus on the spiritual realm."

Qin Ming took out the jade jar from the tattered cloth space and absorbed some of the blue paste again. It turned into a rain of light and disappeared into the sun-like light cluster.

At this moment, his consciousness, spiritual light, divine wisdom, and heavenly light merged into one, as if he were not wrapped in rags, resembling a dazzling golden crow hanging high in the sky.

"Conceal your breath." Even with the tattered cloth covering him, he tried his best to dim the light of day, allowing himself to blend better into the rainy night without leaving a trace.

The blue, ointment-like medicine enhanced its power again, but increasing the dosage afterward had no effect.

The heavy rain poured down, pounding on the ground and kicking up wisps of mist.

The silver behemoth stood in the rain, holding a bone club, and said, "You're going to die."

Although its killing intent was rising, it was relatively cautious, believing that if the other party dared to fight back, it must have something to rely on, and it did not want to be caught off guard.

Silver flames surged around its body, and this time they even took the initiative to become sacred, completely covering its body.

Qin Ming stared, not worried but pleased. The silver light was not as intense as the first time, and it seemed to be dimming faster.

He remained perfectly calm and repeated the same words: "You are going to die."

The silver war beast sneered, saying, "Don't waste your time trying to distract me."

Its entire body erupted in silver flames, sounding like thunder, and it swung its bone club down, not wanting to waste its limited time in the divine transformation, hoping to kill the human boy completely this time.

Qin Ming dodged, relying solely on his physical strength to fight, which was extremely dangerous. He wanted to wear down his opponent's divine transformation time.

As he flew away on the wind, he said, "An old fellow will appear soon, and you, this behemoth, will not escape death."

Upon hearing this, the silver war beast breathed a sigh of relief. It had seemed somewhat apprehensive earlier, but now it grinned and said, "You won't get any outside help."

Qin Ming's heart sank. In this dark, rainy night, there seemed to be boundless killing intent.

Lightning flashed through the dark clouds, illuminating the inky world and revealing the flat but brutal face of the humanoid behemoth. It grinned and swung its bone club as it rapidly approached.

With a loud crash, the trees crumbled and mud and water splashed everywhere. The forest seemed to have been hit by a mudslide and disappeared in just a few moments.

The Silver War Beast is incredibly terrifying; nothing can stop its bone club, and anything it touches will explode.

This time, Qin Ming was like walking a tightrope, engaging in extreme maneuvering. He tried his best to avoid contact with it, but he couldn't create any distance and was about to be locked on.

The humanoid behemoth in its divine state was indeed terrifying. Its bone club pierced the air, and the sonic boom overwhelmed the thunder in the sky. It was as if an ancient, ferocious demon god had emerged from a vortex of time and space amidst a raging storm.

Qin Ming had never struggled like this before; he looked as if he were teetering on the brink of life and death.

His face showed no panic; he remained calm. He wanted to do everything in his power to save people, but he also needed to ensure his own survival.

The humanoid war beast grew agitated. The human boy's physical strength seemed to be stronger than before. This time, he didn't even use his Heavenly Light Force, yet he managed to withstand its attack.

Although he was still sent flying backward, his hand holding the knife was bleeding, but he was clearly more injured than before.

Qin Ming felt excruciating pain in his palm. The bluish paste he had ingested was indeed effective, but it did not bring about any fundamental change in his physical body. Continuing like this would still be dangerous.

The silver behemoth charged forward, its massive body becoming more agile due to its divine transformation, like an elephant gracefully dancing or a dragon elegantly plucking the strings of a harp, carrying a mysterious and spiritual rhythm.

However, it was somewhat anxious, and the state of sanctification was receding at a visible speed, lasting for a shorter period than before.

With a long roar, it unleashed a torrent of silver flames, locking onto Qin Ming, determined to capture him no matter what. It left behind massive afterimages in the rainy night, relentlessly bombarding its opponent.

In the night sky, a miniature version of Qin Ming, draped in tattered cloth, was ready to strike at any moment, holding a finger-length, gleaming white gold sword in both hands, staring down below.

He was carefully evaluating the Silver War Beast. Its strengths and weaknesses were both prominent. It was powerful, recovered quickly, and could be divineized. However, it was relatively clumsy compared to other creatures of the same level, its beast essence had a limited range, and it had almost no spiritual abilities.

He figured that if he could break through its terrifying defenses and pierce its skull, the chances of killing its consciousness would be very high.

On the ground, the silver war beast went berserk. Before the final ebb of its divine transformation, it launched its most ferocious attack. Silver flames shone everywhere, like an invisible field that seemed to distort space and disrupt Qin Ming's fighting rhythm.

"Die!" it laughed, finally cornering its opponent at the last moment and completely engulfing it in its attack range.

Qin Ming's physical body was not currently circulating the Heavenly Light Energy, but it had begun to glow, extremely brilliant and dazzling.

During his first phase, he underwent nine rebirths. Of course, the last one was a kind of accumulation and relay rebirth, which was somewhat unconventional. During this period, he gained a total of four abilities: three kinds of strange light and the Eye of Rebirth.

What makes these three strange lights so extraordinary? They are quite special because they completely replicate his strongest state of Heavenly Light Force, Divine Wisdom, and Consciousness Aura.

Moreover, he can unleash his full potential regardless of his own condition.

However, each type of magical light can only be used once a day.

Now he unleashed three kinds of strange light, and instead of casting them separately, he superimposed and fused them together, creating a massive explosion here.

In addition, he took the blue elixir, which released his potential, making him extremely powerful in his current state.

Clearly, he was intentionally blending celestial light, consciousness, and divine wisdom into what was equivalent to his ultimate strike.

Right now, apart from lacking the exotic metal sword and the tattered cloth, he is no different from the "Master" in the night sky, which is like a blazing sun.

However, instead of unleashing all his power at once, he displayed various wondrous techniques and celestial landscapes, launching a powerful counterattack in a different way.

Outside Qin Ming's body, the light of the heavens surged, like a sea or a mountain torrent, and then a black and white yin-yang diagram appeared, slowly rotating to protect him within it.

In an instant, it transformed into two trees, one black and one white, taking root in front of him. Then, the Five Elements Sacred Fiends appeared: the Vermilion Bird Sacred Fiend soared through the sky, transforming into a blazing sun; the Yellow Dragon Sacred Fiend gathered on the earth; and the Black Tortoise Sacred Fiend poured forth with black water...

The essence of the Five Elements is fully manifested.
The wind swirled and swirled, and suddenly a gentle breeze blew by, causing the black and white trees to sway and change between withering and flourishing. Butterflies danced gracefully, and dragons and snakes lurked in the clouds and mist.

The tree trunk is inhabited by cicadas and silkworms, both of which are absorbing the yin and yang energies.

At this moment, Qin Ming displayed a state of readiness for the final blow. The scene looked peaceful and vivid, but it caused his opponent's cold pupils to contract.

The silver war beast was initially quite surprised, even sensing a slight danger, but it eventually relaxed, realizing that even the opponent's strongest attack was no match for it.

With a loud bang, the bone club in its hand fell, and a dense black and white light swept out from the two trees. The power of yin and yang dissipated its enormous force.

Moreover, the changes of decay and flourishing spread, covering the bone rod and its body, as if to rob it of a hundred years of life.

"Hiss!" The humanoid war beast was terrified and couldn't help but gasp. Its beast essence surged wildly, and it finally blocked the life-severing strike of the Withering and Flourishing Scripture.

It can only be said that the fourth-realm behemoth is extremely terrifying, with astonishing defensive power. In an instant, it withstood attacks from more than a dozen different extraordinary martial arts techniques.

The silver war beast roared, its eyes bloodshot. It had seen blood, and a golden silkworm, like a drill, pierced into its flesh, causing the dense golden threads to cut wildly.

A cicada, its wings imbued with sword energy and lightning, struck the cicada's brow with incredible speed, causing it to stagger and become covered in blood.

Qin Ming's Heavenly Light transformed into the Vermilion Bird, Azure Dragon, White Tiger... The five elements of divine light shone brightly, and five great swords stood side by side, slashing forward, aiming at the head of the humanoid war beast. The sword light was dense, and hundreds and thousands of swords burst forth.

"Roar!"

The silver behemoth roared, its skull nearly ripped off, as it withstood the bombardment of its opponent in its ultimate form.

Moreover, that human boy was a pervert; he was only interested in its head.

The dragon and snake dance, that is the true meaning of the Dragon and Snake Sutra. The moment they strike together, it's like a whip lashing its head, followed by a finishing blow of the Dragon and Snake Scissors.

The imagery of the "Dragon and Tiger Dao Scripture" emerges: a dragon and a tiger vie for supremacy, battling on its head, resonating in harmony with the Dao, its head resembling a large drum being struck.

More than a dozen strange phenomena overlapped, covering the silver war beast, but in the end, they still couldn't kill it.

Just as Qin Ming had predicted, they could only severely injure the enemy, not kill them, even with the help of the Helian family's precious medicine from the Imperial Immortal Sect.

"The fourth realm is irreversible, you cannot change your fate, your death is imminent!" The humanoid war beast, covered in blood, burst out of the various wondrous artistic conceptions and immortal landscapes, wielding a bone club and grinning maliciously as it charged forward to kill.

Qin Ming left behind only a butterfly and a gentle breeze. This was the resonance of the Daoist principles of the "Undying Butterfly Scripture" and the "Wind Control Scripture." He soared into the sky, briefly traversing the night sky.

"Trying to leave? No way!" The humanoid war beast chased after him, its eyelids stained red with blood flowing from its head.

Its beastly essence surged and spread outwards, expanding its attack range.

Qin Ming coughed up large amounts of blood, and the other party continued to pour out beast essence.

"Ah..." the humanoid war beast roared, feeling its divine state completely fade away, a sharp pain in its head, and its speed even slowed down.

It was just a hair's breadth away from completely killing the human boy; his bones had already broken in several places due to the impact of the beast's energy.

"Damn it!" It saw the Thunder King Bird swoop down again to rescue it.

"This time, I won't give you a chance to escape!" Its flat face was filled with a chilling expression. It leaped up and pounced forward, ignoring everything else, its eyes fixed only on the heavily wounded figure in front of it.

In the night sky, heavy rain poured down, with occasional flashes of lightning illuminating the earth. As far as the eye could see, everything was in ruins; large areas of forest had been destroyed.

Silently, Qin Ming's main consciousness descended along the rain curtain, riding his sword.

At this moment, he used the meaning of the silk manuscript to govern all laws, showing his strongest posture!
"Even the heavens can't save you, die!" The silver war beast leaped into the air, its trajectory already set, its face showing the pleasure of about to slaughter the crops.

Suddenly, his smile froze, a sharp pain shot through his head, and blood splattered, mingling with the rain and falling onto his face and arms.

Then, he felt fragments of broken bone fly out.

"Ah..." it screamed in horror as its skull was pierced and shattered into pieces, flying in all directions.

It felt an intense burning sensation in its head. As a giant beast, its mental domain was its weakness, and now that its skull had been shattered, it was suddenly in a dangerous situation.

The rag was glowing, empowering Qin Ming.

So far, Qin Ming has only discovered two values in it.

Firstly, it has its own internal space for storage. Secondly, it can amplify the Heavenly Light Force, which can increase his combat power to a certain extent.

Although there is no qualitative change, such improvements can be surprisingly effective at crucial moments.

With the addition of Helian Zhaoyu's azure elixir, the two effects combined, allowing Qin Ming to successfully pierce the skull of the humanoid war beast, break through its beast essence, and strike its vital parts.

Then there's the exotic metal sword, a material that gods and immortals value highly. Items like the Eight Trigrams Furnace and rags are made from various exotic metals through casting and weaving.

It is specifically designed to break through Heavenly Light Force, Spiritual Power, and Beast Essence.

Qin Ming is now riding his sword inside this enormous head, and his ability to annihilate the giant beast is not particularly strong.

At this moment, Qin Ming's experience was indescribable. He was immersed in the blazing sunlight, and his perception was far sharper than usual. He felt as if he were wielding a sword in a swamp.

Perhaps more accurately, it's like riding a sword through paste and tofu pudding, charging and fighting your way through, with sticky mess everywhere.

Although the experience was extremely unpleasant, he endured it in order to kill the fourth-realm powerhouse, constantly eroding his opponent's spirit.

As the life force of the humanoid war beast plummeted towards the bottom of the valley, its beastly essence dissipated. Qin Ming's divine light shone like a blazing sun, completely burning through its skull. He rode out on his sword, instantly illuminating the entire devastated forest. The nearby torrential rain was dispersed and evaporated, and white mist rose, resembling ethereal fairy energy.

Of course, without that enormous corpse, the shattered head, and the dried-up "tofu pudding," it would resemble a fairyland even more.

In his current state, he naturally wouldn't be contaminated by anything unclean, but he was still extremely disgusted, so he washed himself in the downpour after extinguishing the light.

He then returned to his physical body, wielding the mutton-fat jade iron knife, and slashed at the giant beast. He was mainly worried that it was completely dead and prepared to kill it a couple more times.

Finally, he used the meaning of the silk scroll to govern all laws, and unleashed the Heavenly Light Force that merged and unified them, burning the giant beast from head to toe.

In the night sky, the Thunder King Bird was awe-inspiring. Was this a miracle? Qin Ming had actually killed a silver war beast of the fourth realm! Unbelievable!

Just now, it swooped down, cooperating perfectly, and I felt that it should be able to carry Qin Ming into the sky and avoid death. I didn't expect that this time we wouldn't even need to escape and would have already dealt with a powerful fourth-realm opponent.

It wanted to pay homage to the boy in the torrential rain. This was a mythical achievement. Someone could actually kill an enemy across a whole realm!
The Thunder King Bird landed on the ground and bowed its head in worship, a gesture of heartfelt submission, its soul shaken by the battle.

Its beak was trembling, and it could barely speak.

The Fourth Princess of the Great Yu once said that when Qin Ming reaches the level of an ancestor, he will be able to kill immortals!
Now, Thunder King Bird believes that after Qin Ming establishes himself in the strongest ancestral master realm, he might be able to directly slay an earth immortal!
Although it becomes increasingly difficult to cross borders and fight enemies as one's cultivation level increases—after all, beings that reach the later stages are not simple—the Thunder King Bird still blindly worships Qin Ming at this moment, believing that he will have such abilities in the future.

"What are you bowing for? Get up!" Qin Ming poured out some of the auspicious beast's blood and said it was a gift for it.

This precious item can allow all living beings on every path to undergo a rebirth; it is a rare and powerful medicine.

Today, the Thunder King Bird did not escape alone, but cooperated perfectly with him, allowing him to fight the Silver Beast without any worries, and even taking him away when necessary.

Right now, this extraordinary bird with its incredible speed has passed his test.

"Ah, so much! I can... break through!" The Thunder King Bird's eyes widened. There was much more glowing blood medicine than when it was healing. It was immediately excited, and its voice trembled.

"Really for me?" it stammered, for this blood was priceless.

Qin Ming said, "Without you, how could I dare to fight the giant beast? I would definitely not have escaped its pursuit. However, the situation is not right now, and there may be unexpected events at any time. You should not take it yet. I will keep it for you for now."

He then grimaced, realizing he was severely injured and needed to heal.

"The precious medicine of the Helian family of the Imperial Immortal Sect is truly extraordinary." A moment later, Qin Ming's bones cracked, his whole body glowed, and bursts of purple light emanated from him.

As long as they haven't died, the purple life-saving medicine can revive beings at the third level and bring them back to health quickly.

Qin Ming sat cross-legged here for a long time and eventually fully recovered.

Even now, no senior figures have appeared.

The rain was torrential, a rare sight in late autumn.

Qin Ming knew that something serious had probably happened.

He took a deep breath, picked up the mangled remains of the giant beast, and quickly entered the dense forest in the distance, where he temporarily buried it.

He has now killed a fourth-level expert. If word gets out, it will surely cause a huge sensation, and some people may have some thoughts about it.

However, he did not want to give up this merit, so he went back to ask Yu Gengsheng or Lu Zizai if they could help him exchange for the Vajra Medicine, the Golden Crow Shining at Night Sutra, and so on.

At this time, many people in Qingfeng Town either hid in cellars or fled in the rain, and the people were filled with fear.

The main reason was that the roar of the beast was terrifying, drowning out the thunder in the night sky. Although they did not see the silver war beast, they could clearly feel it getting closer and closer, and the whole town was filled with fear.

After entering the town, Qin Ming transmitted his voice, "It's alright now."

Immediately, newcomers from the second realm came to see him, as did disciples of the Immortal Path, all of whom greeted him.

"Ah, so that's the big brother who treated us to such good food! So he's the Guardian!"

Some children looked out the window in surprise.

The fear in Qingfeng Town gradually subsided.

Qin Ming braved the rain to return to the high mountain outside the town and gazed into the distance.

At this time, the rain gradually subsided.

In the night sky, a flying mount arrived late, carrying a middle-aged man who looked rather disheveled, with tattered armor and bleeding wounds.

"Qin Ming?" he called out from the sky.

Qin Ming immediately leaped onto the back of the Thunder King Bird, on guard, ready to flee at any moment if anything went wrong.

He had given advance notice of the situation here; after waiting for so long without any experts appearing, there was clearly something wrong.

"This mountain has collapsed. Has a fourth-realm expert attacked?" The middle-aged man looked surprised.

The Thunder King Bird was indignant and said, "Yes, we went ahead to send a message asking for help, but not a single one of you showed up. We almost died here."

The middle-aged man was shocked and found it hard to believe. He asked, "You fought against a demon of the fourth realm? You didn't kill it, did you?"

Qin Ming waved his hand to stop the Thunder King Bird from speaking, saying, "The situation is very complicated and cannot be explained in a short time."

The middle-aged man said, "If a demon from the fourth realm attacks, you can completely abandon Qingfeng Town. The higher-ups won't blame you. With a major realm separating you, no one can stop you. In such a desperate situation, you are allowed to retreat."

They knew Qin Ming had a Thunder King Bird, and felt he was safe; even if they were no match for him, they could easily escape.

The middle-aged man found it absurd; the other party seemed to have briefly dealt with demons of the fourth realm.

"You didn't retreat. Did you really kill it, or did someone else scare it away?" The middle-aged man, named Qi Yu, was a master of the esoteric sect.

Qin Ming didn't intend to say more to him, and said, "I will report this matter to my superiors in detail. Many unusual things happened today."

Qi Yu said, "Alas, don't blame us. An unexpected situation has occurred in this area. Demons have crossed the border and attacked Muguang City. Right now, the city... may have been breached."

"What?" Qin Ming had some guesses, but he was still surprised when he heard the news. Was a major war about to break out?
Muguang City is a city among dozens of towns in the surrounding area. Although it is not very large, it has great symbolic significance.

The area is guarded by experts of the fourth realm. This time, the demons crossed the border not to provoke a town-level area, but to directly attack the city. Is this a final test, or are they preparing for a decisive battle?

"My comrades and I were patrolling this area when we were attacked. Two of us died in battle, one was seriously injured, and only my injuries were minor."

Qi Yu and the other patrolmen were all experts of the fourth realm.

He admitted that a middle-aged man from the Five Elements Palace died in battle. Before he died, the man met him and told him that he must come here to rescue him.

"He is the grand-nephew of Elder Jinyuan of the Five Elements Palace."

Upon hearing this, Qin Ming exhaled a breath of turbid air. The joy of slaying the silver behemoth was completely overshadowed. A fourth-realm expert from the Five Elements Palace had tried to save him before his death, but had died at the hands of demons.

"Now that you are unharmed, I must head to Muguang City immediately. I hope it hasn't become a bloodbath city." Qi Yu prepared to ride away on his flying mount.

Qin Ming asked, "Have the demons of the Third Realm been mobilized? Are they also causing trouble?"

"I received news that a group of third-realm demons are converging on the White Elephant Ridge area, which is not far from Muguang City. Fourth-realm demons are causing trouble in front of them, and the group of young demons behind them are also taking the opportunity to cause chaos." Qi Yu said as he left.

He rushed to the aid of Muguang City, where the situation was dire.

This remote area is unsuitable for all demons of the fourth realm except for the Silver War Beast, a gigantic monster that cannot transform.

"A major battle at the highest levels is probably about to break out!" Even the Thunder King Bird had a bad feeling.

Those patriarchs demanded that we defend against external enemies, but now a city has been breached. The patriarchs of the sixth realm will probably have to take action, and there might even be a divine war.

“Let’s go to White Elephant Ridge!” Qin Ming said.

A streak of light pierced the night sky, and the Thunder King Bird carried him eighty miles away, rushing to the destination.

There were many town guardians like him who rushed to help, and the area was in chaos, with demonic energy soaring into the sky.

From a great distance, Qin Ming saw that a cultivator of the third realm of the esoteric sect used lightning magic to smash a powerful demon, while he himself was pierced through the chest by a demonic blade.

This place was extremely tragic. There was blood on the mountains and many severed limbs. No cultivators in the first or second realm could survive here.

Qin Ming rode the Thunder King Bird across the sky, instantly killing four third-realm demonic birds. Their heads were shattered, and they fell from the sky.

"A divine seed!" someone shouted from the demon side, alerting the other demons.

Demons formed a battle formation and approached, while others sent telepathic messages into the distance, seemingly requesting help from experts.

"Qin Ming?" Someone recognized him.

Someone else quickly reported the situation, saying, "The Immortal Seed An Youxing has died in battle. Not long ago, he killed and wounded two Heavenly Demon Seeds. As for himself... alas!"

One of the two Heavenly Demons was seriously injured and had gone to treat his wounds. The other Heavenly Demon was with him, protecting him.

Qin Ming was taken aback, never expecting that a seed on the Immortal Path was in the same territory as him and had already died in battle.

When they were in Kunling, An Youxing and he had some minor disagreements, but considering An Youxing's strength, it wasn't a major conflict.

At this moment, when Qin Ming heard that this immortal seed faced the heavenly demon seed head-on without retreating, fighting two against one and ultimately dying in battle, he was deeply moved.

"Where are those two Heavenly Demon Seeds?!" he asked.

"Behind that area!" someone pointed out.

The Thunder King Bird transformed into a bolt of lightning and swooped down at lightning speed.

Two Celestial Demons appeared and confronted a powerful opponent who had suddenly appeared on a slope.

Qin Ming had just fought a bloody battle with a giant beast of the fourth realm, and was now in the midst of his overwhelming momentum, especially with his heart surging with killing intent. Facing these two early-stage third realm Heavenly Demons, he directly pressed down on them.

"You..." The two were shocked. They were injured as soon as they exchanged blows, coughing up blood from the impact of the opponent's Heavenly Light Force.

Qin Ming's trump card was ineffective against humanoid war beasts of the fourth realm, but now it had an overwhelming advantage against two Heavenly Demon species, and was unstoppable.

He unleashed the Golden Silkworm Force, and dense golden threads of heavenly light intertwined, constantly slicing through the void, ultimately tearing a Heavenly Demon species to pieces.

"what……"

Soon, the second Heavenly Demon also let out a shrill scream and was killed on this slope, leaving the scene stained with blood.

Qin Ming killed demons one after another, and in the end, the hillside was covered with corpses.

The remaining demons fled, and the battle at White Elephant Ridge ended. The forces of Night State also quickly withdrew to avoid being trapped there by the great demon.

Qin Ming frowned deeply, sighing inwardly that time was running out.

Under these circumstances, the immortal beings began to die one after another in battle.

He has killed as many as four celestial demons, and eventually, a powerful demon will likely target him.

Furthermore, with Muguang City shattered and stained with blood, the patriarchs will inevitably wage a major war, and the final battle is about to begin.

Qin Ming sighed. In such a cruel environment, he had no choice but to overcome this major obstacle.

Answer the questions in the author's comments below.

Some say the protagonist shouldn't care about the townspeople's lives at all; he's too much of a saint. Others say the protagonist is too indecisive, he should just charge straight in and kill his way through. I want to ask these two groups of readers, why are you ignoring each other? You should have a proper discussion.

I think there's nothing wrong with the protagonist going to save people, but he's not stubborn. Knowing that sacrificing himself won't change anything, rushing headlong into it is pointless. He's a compassionate young man with his own principles, trying his best to save people within his capabilities. (The Level 3 King Bird has a fourth-level escape speed, the tattered cloth can enhance the Heavenly Light Force, and the blue ointment can unleash potential—these aren't temporary additions; they've been mentioned before.)
The second issue is that some say the protagonist is too weak, struggling so much against a silver war beast, his body like paper, severely diminishing his combat power. Others say the protagonist is excessively strong, ridiculously so, and shouldn't be able to win at all.

You two should have a friendly discussion about this issue.
