Night without Borders

Chapter 524 Deep love and great righteousness

Chapter 524 Deep love and great righteousness
In the wilderness, large swathes of land were as dark as an abyss.

Qin Ming looked back and saw a faint firelight flickering on the horizon—a city. Nearby, only the night wind blew; there weren't even any wild animals.

However, he was certain that something was following him.

He killed three grandmasters in Kaiyuan City. Would anyone dare to follow him?

Moreover, he was traveling in his mind, and his speed was so fast that ordinary experts simply couldn't catch up.

"Dream Worm?" Qin Ming was somewhat doubtful. Could it be that the extraordinary worm with exceptional abilities had followed them? That would be a big problem.

However, that dream insect is in terrible condition. Does it really dare to come and fight for its life?

Then Qin Ming thought of other possibilities: Could it be that a real grandmaster was chasing after them?
When Lin Shuyue, Qian Ye, and others were exchanging information in secret, Qin Ming resonated with some of the information. The dream insect could bring good fortune and avoid misfortune, and it could be "located" to four lines, which might be able to solve its predicament.

At that time, some old masters and grandmasters personally followed along, secretly spying on and observing the first three lines. It was clear that those targets were extremely powerful.

Qin Ming frowned. Could it be that the Grandmaster of the Godlike Society had returned at the right time to trace his fourth line of inquiry?
He appeared and disappeared without a trace, grabbing the miniature white tiger female master and silently slipping into the depths of the night.

Qin Ming traversed the night fog, changing his direction several times. Although there was no movement behind him, his instincts told him that something was amiss in this area.

"Young man, what keen intuition!" someone exclaimed from the night fog.

This time the sound didn't come from behind; it came from ahead. In the thick night fog, an old man carrying a red paper lantern stood in a desolate place in the wilderness.

He had a head of white hair, a gaunt face, and his figure appeared and disappeared in the light.

Qin Ming stopped; by this time, he was at least 15,000 li away from Yuancheng.

If an ordinary person encountered such a gaunt, white-haired old man in this desolate wilderness, they would surely find it creepy.

Late at night, wisps of red mist lingered near the red paper lantern, creating a scene of desolation alongside withered trees and broken stone tablets, far from peaceful.

Qin Ming's words were concise, consisting of only two words: "Who are you?"

The old man spoke: "An old man with little life left, once a god, but now, a plucked phoenix is no better than a chicken."

He was quite frank, telling us directly that he was a degenerated god, now completely decayed, old and frail, with little time left.

“Young friend, I mean no harm. I also attended the Kaiyuan Gathering this time and witnessed your great power. I never expected that we would end up traveling together to this place. That’s why I showed up here when we were nearing home, hoping to invite you for a chat.”

The old man, carrying a lantern, didn't approach for fear of causing a misunderstanding; he simply stood at a distance and spoke.

"You don't need to worry. Although I have deteriorated significantly, there shouldn't be anyone else approaching in this territory, and you have no pursuers behind you."

Finally, Qin Ming walked forward.

The old man nodded in acknowledgment and said, "Your performance in the battle of Kaiyuan City was nothing short of extraordinary. In the last thousand years, I have only seen one or two exceptional individuals like you."

Qin Ming said, "Senior is too kind. If I were outstanding enough, I wouldn't have run away."

The old man was speechless for a moment, then shook his head and said, "You were just one person facing the God-like Society. This battle has made you famous throughout the world. From now on, who will not know Hu Dingming?"

He looked at the white tiger female master, who was less than the palm of his hand tall, and said, "What a well-behaved little kitten."

Soon, a sharp glint appeared in the old man's cloudy eyes. He seemed somewhat surprised and said, "Hmm?"

He solemnly said, "My apologies, I misjudged her. With pure white tiger blood, she truly possesses divine beauty and spirit. Your confidante, young friend, has limitless potential for future achievements."

The mini version of the White Tiger female master has fluffy ears and big, clear eyes like a spring. Her wildness has completely disappeared, and her temperament appears incredibly innocent and pure.

She didn't say anything, she just stared at the deity for a long time.

Qin Ming said, "Since you know about the matter of Kaiyuan City, you should understand that I am about to leave and it is inconvenient for me to stay any longer."

"Although I am old, I still have some influence in this area. Young friend, please rest assured, nothing will happen. However, since you have concerns, I cannot invite you to the Divine Kingdom. Let's just have a drink here and have a simple chat."

In an instant, the wilderness behind him lit up, revealing towering mountains with waterfalls of fire, suspended islands, temples bathed in the morning glow, pavilions, sacred lakes and arched bridges, and all sorts of wonders that stretched as far as the eye could see.

It was a magnificent divine kingdom.

"I am an old man on my deathbed, and I know not how many adversaries are waiting for me to completely decay, wanting to invade my divine kingdom. Alas, no matter how glorious a god was in the past, in the end, he cannot avoid a miserable end. It is not surprising when you think about it. Not to mention me, even a god will not have a good end once he withers away and his lifespan is about to end."

The old man had many feelings and was somewhat saddened by his impending end.

He admitted that his only worry was about his descendants.

He was very direct and said, "I had a daughter in my old age. Although she is not an anomaly that only appears once every few hundred years, she is still very outstanding. I fear that the day the divine kingdom is destroyed will also be the day she dies with me. Can you take her with you?"

As the White Tiger Grandmaster aged in reverse, her personality seemed to soften a bit as well. She muttered, "What kind of situation is this? Being sent as a goddess during the escape."

The old man said bitterly, "Nothing more than hoping to save my daughter's life."

Qin Ming shook his head and said, "Even a deity like you couldn't protect her, so how can I, a mere rogue cultivator, possibly safeguard her?"

"To be honest, I have already discerned that you are from another realm, not belonging to this one. Therefore, I would like to ask you to take my daughter with you to a new world, where you may be able to escape this calamity. As for me, I will remain in this realm and, before my lifespan ends, I will settle things with my old rivals!"

At this moment, he didn't seem like an old god, but just an old father, full of emotion and sadness, as he took out a "document" and handed it over.

"As long as my daughter survives, that's all that matters. This is a contract, and you can control her fate. Whether she becomes your friend or your concubine in the future, I can accept it. I have a good eye for people, and I know that my daughter is kind-hearted and won't make things difficult for her."

Qin Ming stepped back and did not accept the contract.

"Young friend, are you really not going to help? Just take her away." The old man pleaded.

Behind him, in that divine realm, a woman in white robes walked gracefully, her purple hair glistening and cascading down her chest and back. Her skin was fair, and her face held a hint of sorrow as she looked at her father, tears welling up in her eyes.

As for her appearance, she was stunningly beautiful. Although she was a goddess, she was not aloof; on the contrary, she had a delicate and fragile air about her.

The small, white tiger-like female grandmaster muttered, "Why don't you do a wedding ceremony before you leave?"

The old man immediately perked up and said, "If that's the case, then that would be perfect. If we get married today, I'm willing to give you all sorts of rare treasures from my divine kingdom as part of your dowry."

Qin Ming shook his head and said, "The territory I am in is more chaotic and bloody, and it is about to go to war with other countries. It is not a pure land. I cannot protect the goddess. If I take her across the border, it may bring great disaster to her."

He didn't want to waste any more time, so he said goodbye directly.

The old god was dejected and ultimately said nothing more. He simply nodded and watched him depart, giving a final reminder that there was an evil god in a certain area ahead, and it was best to detour.

"Young Master." From behind, the purple-haired goddess called softly, and finally sighed, silently waving her slender hand in the divine kingdom.

Qin Ming disappeared into the night, vanishing in an instant. Looking back from afar, he saw that the divine kingdom was fading into darkness, carrying with it boundless gloom and decay.

Ding!
In the night sky, a crisp sound rang out from the depths of the clouds, followed by the lighting of silver threads that intertwined to form a giant spirit-catching net.

It is not very powerful, but it can provide early warnings.

Qin Ming's expression changed slightly. Was someone planning to ambush him?
The White Tiger Grandmaster's clear tiger eyes widened as she said, "We didn't follow the path pointed out by that old god. Could it be that we've really encountered trouble?"

Amidst the clouds and mist, a tall young man clad in black and gold armor and wielding a long halberd sat atop a silver beast with bat wings, his piercing gaze fixed on Qin Ming.

He gripped a heavy halberd in his right hand and a golden conch shell in his left, talking to someone in the distance, saying, "What a coincidence, I think I really have encountered Hu Dingming!"

Then, the man with an exceptionally strong aura and a rich Daoist aura put away his conch shell, looked at Qin Ming, and said, "Are you Hu Dingming?"

"So what if it is?" Qin Ming asked.

The man said in a deep voice, "I have heard that you, a person from another region, defeated several Grandmasters in Kaiyuan City of my realm and left triumphantly. After hearing this, I would like to challenge you to a battle."

This is a grandmaster, and seems to be a very famous figure. He looks young, but his actual age should be greater than his appearance suggests.

"Not interested!" Qin Ming refused.

"It's not up to you!" the young man shouted. Centered on him, all the surrounding clouds exploded. His black and gold armor burst with dark light, and the heavy halberd in his hand seemed to be crushing the void.

With a roar, the high-level beast beneath him let out a dragon's cry, as fierce and terrifying as a flying dragon, carrying him at top speed.

The young man had long, black hair that flowed freely. He raised his halberd with both hands, unleashing boundless lightning and fire that seemed to connect with the sky, dazzlingly bright.

The human and beast are in perfect harmony, both radiating the aura of the fifth realm, making them a dual grandmaster combination!

Qin Ming frowned, carefully sensing the surroundings, then clenched his right fist and suddenly slammed it forward, unleashing a torrent of yang light that surged forth like a mighty river across the sky.

He was in a trance, so the size of his fist changed at will, growing to the size of a house, and the void resonated with the boom.

With a loud bang, both the man and the beast were violently shaken, and then blood gushed from their mouths and noses.

The young man roared, raised his halberd slightly, and slashed forward again, stirring up the rich Daoist energy in the sky and carrying boundless thunder and fire.

With a loud bang, Qin Ming unleashed his chaotic energy, delivering another powerful punch. The light from the sky was like a river bursting its banks, sending the man and the beast flying.

Without uttering a word, he led the White Tiger Grandmaster away.

The man swayed and whispered, "I've lost. I can't stop him at all. Even if I fight to the death, I probably won't last more than twenty punches before I'm killed."

Qin Ming frowned deeply, because the series of unexpected events along the way seemed to have exposed his whereabouts, and someone had laid a net to capture spirits and intercept him along the way.

"Grandmaster!"

In the dead of night, above the clouds, a figure like a demon blocked the way, bearing a pair of black wings, exuding a powerful sense of oppression.

His face was cold and aloof in the darkness, and his tall stature exuded a power that stirred the heart.

Qin Ming held the rotten fan, but instead of activating it, he instantly swooped down towards the ground.

"Can you leave?" the grandmaster asked.

"If you take action, aren't you worried that your condition will worsen?" Qin Ming asked, turning around.

The Grandmaster replied indifferently, "Don't worry about it!"

Qin Ming landed on the ground, as if shrinking the earth to an inch, and rushed towards the end of the earth.

The grandmaster was very imposing, and followed at a leisurely pace.

Qin Ming turned around and said, "Old man, since you dare to come after me, why don't you just make your move? What are you waiting for?"

With a loud boom, a surge of blood energy erupted ahead, piercing through the heavens and earth, and another Grandmaster appeared, blocking Qin Ming's path.

This area was surrounded by powerful experts at the peak of the fifth realm, all exuding a terrifying aura that made Qin Ming's heart restless.

Without the rotten fan, he would have surely died if he had fought a true grandmaster.

Silently, a third old man appeared in the night sky. He was dressed in gray, simple clothes, and coughed slightly. He didn't have a powerful aura, but his eyes seemed to pierce straight into people's hearts.

The White Tiger Grandmaster muttered, "Could it be a deity?"

"You guessed right, but there's no reward." The gray-robed old man in the night sky smiled.

This scene was absolutely chilling.

If nothing unexpected happens, these three should be the powerful figures from the other three paths that the God-like Society is pursuing. Now they are all coming for Qin Ming: one old god and two grandmasters.

The two grandmasters approached, each emanating a terrifying aura. In an instant, the entire landscape resonated with them, and the clouds in the night sky rose and fell like raging waves.

And that old god was silently closing in, ready to unleash a fatal blow at any moment.

In the current environment, any creature of this level that makes a move will inevitably suffer severe damage, and may even die on the spot.

Qin Ming stopped dodging, stood on the ground, and said, "What's the use of bluffing? Come and hit me!"

Suddenly, the wind and clouds trembled, and the entire landscape lost its color. The two grandmasters walked over on foot, their oppressive presence almost suffocating.

In the night sky, the deity laughed, and then his mouth stretched wide, gradually filling the entire sky.

A gaping maw dripping blood, like a blood-soaked abyss, covered the vast sky. Was a god about to devour the entire earth?
"Don't you dare to actually make a move?" Qin Ming shouted fearlessly from the ground.

“Young Grandmaster, we value your talent and would like to invite you to join the Godlike Society. What do you say?” a Grandmaster said.

Then the deity reached out a large hand and drew a line on the ground, revealing a glowing pure land. They wanted to have a talk with Qin Ming.

"Something's not right!" A sense of alarm surged in Qin Ming's heart. He suddenly realized that this wasn't a matter of whether or not to take action; someone was guiding him, trying to lead him into the next "scene."

He had seen many similar problematic scenarios along the way.

Whether it's a corrupt god wanting to marry off his daughter, or someone challenging him, these people all have one thing in common: their wills are as hard as iron, making it difficult for them to resonate with him.

Qin Ming had naturally made some guesses, but he hadn't taken them seriously. Now, however, things were different. With no further action, he felt that something might be wrong.

Throughout the journey, Qin Ming relied on his instincts and intuition to feel that there was something wrong with those people. He tried to verify this by using resonance, and was astonished to find that even the goddess who was on the verge of tears did not show the slightest emotional fluctuation.

With a thunderous boom, Qin Ming's consciousness, a blend of heavenly light and fusion, poured into the Heart Lamp.

A divine lamp hangs high, emitting four kinds of flames. As the purple-gold pill sinks in, black and white light swirls around, and nine-colored sword energy blends together, almost illuminating heaven and earth.

Qin Ming poured all his spiritual energy and consciousness into the Heart Lamp, and every ray of light it emitted was like a dazzling sword beam, ready to cleave through heaven and earth.

The scene before my eyes shook violently, the two grandmasters vanished, and the deity also evaporated completely.

A glowing hand emerged from the heart lamp, stroking the head of the White Tiger Grandmaster, as if purifying her.

"Five layers of dreams, almost reaching the sixth layer, this is the method of the Dream Worm," said the White Tiger Grandmaster.

Ahead, a blurry, ethereal figure floated by, sighing softly, as if it were a great pity.

"What will happen if I step into it?" Qin Ming asked.

The White Tiger Grandmaster said, "That way you will enter a dream and fall into the trap without realizing it."

“Young man, you are outstanding. I admire you greatly and have no ill intentions,” the illusory figure spoke, its eyes deep and unfathomable.

Qin Ming said in a calm tone, "Are you an elder of the Dream Worm? You've been following me all this way, leading me into the dream, yet you say you have no ill intentions."

The humanoid figure was indeed Old Bug. He said, "It was just a simple dream. I wanted to take this opportunity to see your talent. You are indeed an anomaly. Your spiritual light is like the blazing sun, which has even moved me. I want to find a companion for Xiaomeng and make you my fellow traveler. What do you think?"

"It's not a big problem," Qin Ming replied.

"Then come with me," the phantom said.

Qin Ming said, "I have important matters to attend to recently, and I'm afraid I cannot comply."

"For Xiaomeng's sake, I have no choice but to offend you for now," the illusory figure sighed.

Qin Ming suspected that the earliest degenerated god and goddess he encountered might have been inspired by the old worm to create a slightly realistic virtual realm.

"If you insist on doing so, then I have no choice but to offend you," Qin Ming said, clutching his rotten fan.

Old Bug said, "I didn't expect it to come to this, requiring the use of force."

Qin Ming said, "Old Meng, stop pretending. If you really want to show goodwill, just give Xiao Meng to me. There's no need to tie me up like this."

Old Bug said, "You just had a bloody battle in Kaiyuan City. Given your vengeful nature, do you think I would feel at ease?"

The next moment, the phantom moved, and the aura of a grandmaster erupted completely. It was no longer a dream, nor a false supernatural power, but a truly wondrous technique that could shatter mountains and rivers.

Without hesitation, Qin Ming waved his rotten fan, which was already activated, and swept it out.

In an instant, centered on him, black storms surged both in the sky and on the ground, capable of extinguishing a person's pure Yang consciousness, accompanied by glowing patterns, spreading throughout every inch of the void.

The old worm groaned, somewhat shocked. Even with its extreme speed, it couldn't avoid the black storm runes that were everywhere, both in the sky and on the ground.

He immediately became faint and shot into the distance.

This time, he went all out, but was forced to retreat by being overpowered, which was extremely taxing on him.

Only when the black storm weakened did he emerge again from the edge of the earth, thin as smoke, drifting aimlessly.

He said in a deep voice, "Can your rotten fan still be waved? I'm here again."

Qin Ming felt a sense of oppression. Since arriving in this world, he had not used the Rotten Treasure, keeping it hidden until he encountered this rare insect ranked fifth. He had no choice but to splurge extravagantly.

Qin Ming calmly said, "Try again!"

With a loud bang, the old worm moved, daring to make a second move. In the current situation, he was incredibly brave, going all out!

This time, Qin Ming unleashed a rare treasure, the broken Six Phoenix Divine Lamp, which was covered in cracks and would explode upon encountering divine power. In an instant, boundless sins erupted, surging like a tidal wave.

This is the "sin" he committed when he was drawing upon the karmic fire and absorbing the mystical substances of the five elements, such as the life force, in the red ocean underground where divine food was produced. He has collected these sins.

"You..." Even an old insect didn't want to get involved, so after unleashing his full power, he fled at top speed.

These sins once drowned the brilliant sun above the red ocean, and entangled the terrifying god within, which was truly horrifying.

Qin Ming was also retreating, trying to avoid the boundless flames of sin.

At the edge of the earth, the old worm returned and said, "At such a young age, you've come into contact with quite a few dangerous substances."

Qin Ming remained silent, only gripping his rotten fan tightly, ready to erupt again at any moment.

However, his heart was bleeding. He sighed inwardly. It wasn't easy being a rogue cultivator. He had just finished purchasing goods in Kaiyuan City and felt he had made a great harvest, but now he had to pay the price.

He was frugal and unwilling to waste the rotten fan, but now he has no choice.

"It's alright, I'm here!" The yellow parasol appeared, slowly rotating, and said, "At worst, I'll self-destruct once and start over."

"Xiao Huang, you really touched me," Qin Ming said.

He was certain that this was indeed a treasure that had been buried in dust and had been revived. The spirit of the artifact was brand new, youthful in spirit, full of vigor, and knew how to be grateful. Otherwise, how could a ruthless old monster be willing to make such a sacrifice?

"A treasure reborn? Hmm, the rotten fan is no small thing either. Are you from that world?" the old worm asked, his brows furrowing deeply.

"Enough talk, let's go!" Qin Ming took the initiative and charged forward.

The phantom flashed and disappeared, vanishing from the spot. The old worm transmitted its voice from the edge of the earth: "Young man, we shall meet again if fate allows."

At the critical moment, he calmed down and became peaceful, and dared not make another move. He turned around and ran away.

Because if something happens to him, Mengchong will be without a protector for the time being, which may lead to many troubles and hidden dangers.

"Hurry up!" Huang Luo, wearing an umbrella, transmitted his voice.

Qin Ming turned and disappeared into the night, saying, "Little Huang, you've impressed me today. Hmm, you've recovered to the fifth realm?"

A seductive figure appeared on the yellow parasol and said, "I was just saying that to bluff him. Did you really think I would self-destruct?"

Qin Ming: “…”

Then he whispered, "The world has changed, yet this old worm still dares to act so casually. Just how deep must its foundation be?"

The White Tiger Grandmaster patted her chest to calm herself down and said, "That phantom most likely fused with a priceless Xuanhuang Qi, which can maintain its own state, so it can make multiple moves."

According to her, the shadow of that old worm was many times stronger before, and most likely it had shielded the Dream Worm from calamity and had been severely weakened.

Upon hearing this, Qin Ming was immediately at his wit's end. The illusory figure had been weakened to an infinite degree, yet it still possessed the power of a Grandmaster. Just how terrifying must the real Old Worm be?
The White Tiger Grandmaster said, "That Xuanhuang Qi should have been almost completely dispersed by the peerless expert, with not much left."

Upon hearing this, Qin Ming could only gasp in the night mist.

He sighed softly, "As expected of the fifth most extraordinary insect in the world, and it made the list as a single insect, without relying on a swarm to fight."

This kind of being can avoid misfortune and seek good fortune, can cultivate by borrowing another body, and can even see through a person's soul essence. Its various abilities are too outstanding, exceeding all limits to an absurd degree.

Who exactly is the person who injured the Dreamworm, and how strong is he?

This time, after Qin Ming fled eight thousand miles with the mini version of the White Tiger Female Grandmaster, he put her down and said, "You saw it too, the old worm is terrifying, and it has its eyes on me. You should leave and not follow me anymore."

The White Tiger Grandmaster, in a state of reverse aging, had clear eyes and said, "He has already left, and aren't you taking me with you? Let's go to your world, where we won't be afraid of anything."

Qin Ming said, "Not for now. Our area is cracking down hard, and we don't allow beings from other worlds to cross over. Otherwise, they will be severely punished. Let's wait until later, when the time is right, and I'll take you there."

She muttered, "You've put a slave mark on me and you're just going to ignore it?"

In the end, Qin Ming treated her like a child, patted her head, and then drifted away until he was alone, attached to the old cloth, and disappeared completely.

Along the way, he drifted with the current, carried by the night wind and wild beasts, naturally traveling far away.

Only after such a secret journey had been going on for a long time did he begin to travel in his mind, pushing his speed to the limit.

Finally, the Ancient Mist Gate came into view. It was a dark place, blending into the night without any fire springs, making it difficult to notice.

Qin Ming breathed a sigh of relief; he was finally going home, and with a full load of goodies.

Suddenly, as he approached the Ancient Mist Gate, his hair stood on end. He sensed the aura of the Old Worm, who arrived in an instant, like a god or demon traversing the void.

Qin Ming used the rotten fan as a shield and rushed into the doorway.

"So dangerous!" He was about to activate the rotten fan.

The old worm followed and stepped through the gate, only to groan and be forced back, his afterimage exploding once.

"What ruthless methods!" It was difficult for it to take shape.

"Did he try to force his way in just now?" Qin Ming turned around.

Without the Life Talisman, one cannot enter or leave the Ancient Misty Gate; otherwise, a killing formation will be activated.

Qin Ming's temper flared. He saw the old insect's afterimage, now tattered. He gritted his teeth and rushed out, chasing after the old insect with his fan in hand.

"I..." The old worm's phantom fragment turned its head and immediately began to run away, not daring to stop for a moment.

After all, a complete phantom is only at the Grandmaster level, and he is currently severely incomplete, so he will most likely suffer a great loss.

"Where do you think you're going? The offensive and defensive positions have been reversed!" Qin Ming chased after him, unleashing his strongest chaotic energy and bombarding him with punch after punch.

"Young man, I've actually come to admire you. Let's meet again someday." The old worm dissipated on its own, coalescing in the distant night sky.

Qin Ming pursued, saying, "Old Meng, where is Little Meng? You two are truly devoted to me, not only transforming into decaying gods to marry off your daughter, but also traveling tens of thousands of miles to see me off. Now I'll see you off too."

With a bang, the illusory image of the old worm was blasted apart once more. But it remained silent, using a secret technique to condense in the distant sky before quickly disappearing into the horizon.

Qin Ming, carrying the Heavenly Hammer, wandered around, but finally had no choice but to begin his journey home.

“That is…” Not long after, deep in the thick fog in front of the Ancient Mist Gate, he saw an unexpected person.

At this moment, the White Tiger Grandmaster had returned to normal, with a slender and graceful figure, silver hair like a waterfall, and deep, beautiful eyes, as she was examining the Ancient Misty Gate.

Clearly, she had also noticed Qin Ming.

Most importantly, the two were too close together.

For a moment, Qin Ming's heart was filled with shock. It was one thing for the old worm to be able to track his traces, but how could the White Tiger Grandmaster also follow him all the way?

"Xiao Bai, what brings you here?" Qin Ming asked casually, without even revealing the rotten fan.

Of course, he secretly communicated with the spirit of the yellow parasol, and if things went wrong, he would immediately activate the fan and sweep it towards the mysterious opponent.

The White Tiger Grandmaster sighed softly and said, "Alas, you planted the slave mark on me, yet you abandoned me. I followed the mark's guidance and chased after you all the way here."

She then took a few steps forward and approached.

Qin Ming greeted her with a smile, affectionately ruffling her hair, just as he had done when they parted earlier.

"Don't worry, I'll come and get you when my investigation isn't so strict." Qin Ming stroked her long silver hair, emphasizing his words to show their close relationship.

"Really?" The White Tiger Grandmaster stared into his eyes.

"Really!" Qin Ming nodded. After a brief exchange, he waved goodbye and headed towards the Ancient Misty Gate.

One step, two steps... Qin Ming was uncertain, not knowing what the White Tiger Grandmaster was or whether she would stop him at the crucial moment.
