Chapter 1 Crossing
A beam of light pierced the sky, and Xie Yuwei subconsciously closed her eyes. When the light dimmed, she opened her eyes and was greeted by a lush green landscape reminiscent of a primeval forest. The quiet forest was made noisy by the chirping of cicadas and the calls of unknown birds.

Xie Yuwei was shocked. Where was she?

She was just playing an online game when her phone suddenly emitted a dazzling light. When the light faded, she appeared in a different location.

Before she could figure out what was happening, her body's instincts told her that danger was approaching, and she instinctively rolled away to avoid an attack from the shadows.

Xie Yuwei stared intently, her heart pounding with fear. What came into view was a huge wolf with red eyes and black smoke rising from its body. Its ferocious appearance, baring its teeth, made her face turn pale and her heart race.

Where is this?

Could this wild wolf in front of me really exist?
Is she addicted to the game?
Otherwise, how could a real wolf have red eyes and a black aura around its body?

The wolf did not pounce on Xie Yuwei; instead, it was growling impatiently, and the saliva dripping from its mouth emitted a disgusting, fishy stench.

Jie Yuwei's heart was pounding so hard she almost fainted. She didn't care whether the scene in front of her was real or not. She instinctively remembered the skills in the game. With a thought, she launched a fierce attack on the wolf, just like how she killed the BOSS in the game.

Skill 1, Skill 2, Ultimate, then a basic attack.

When Jie Yuwei discovered that she could actually use the skills in the game and damage the wolves, she was no longer afraid; instead, she felt excited.

Could this be a hidden Easter egg in the game?

She triggered an Easter egg, so all her senses were engaged in the game, which is why she had such a realistic experience.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity; she can't miss it.

Jie Yuwei found herself a reason for being there and excitedly rushed up to kill the wild wolf.

Exciting! So exciting!
It's just a game, she won't die! She's going to kill to her heart's content.

With a flurry of skillful maneuvers, Xie Yuwei quickly killed the wolf.

After the wolf died, its body vanished, leaving only a wolf fang floating above it.

Jie Yuwei was overjoyed. Was this her spoils of war? Equipment and materials?

She stepped forward and grabbed the wolf fang in her hand, feeling a surge of energy within it.

After the initial surprise, she felt a wave of dizziness.

She instinctively felt that she was feeling dizzy because she had run out of energy.

As Xie Yuwei was thinking about how to replenish her strength, an unfamiliar memory flooded into her mind.

After she had processed the memories in her mind, she realized that she had transmigrated.

This is not a game world at all; it is an alternate world. She has transmigrated to Nanwen Village and into the body of a poor girl.

The girl was only twelve years old, and her name was the same as hers, Xie Yuwei.

Xie Yuwei's parents are missing. Besides her, there is a ten-year-old brother and an eight-year-old sister in her family.

Their parents had been missing for two years, and the family had long since run out of food and supplies. For the past two years, they had barely managed to survive on the rent from their land.

It's winter now, and her younger sister has caught a cold. To earn money to treat her sister's illness, Xie Yuwei came to the mountains alone, hoping to find some herbs or mountain products to sell.

The original owner of the body, Xie Yuwei, explored the mountains alone for half a day and did find some commonly used herbs.

Before she could be happy for long, she encountered the demon wolf.

That's right, it's a monster-like wolf.

Xie Yuwei didn't know what kind of world this was, but she knew from the original owner's memories that the surrounding mountains were very dangerous and often haunted by magical beasts.

To defend against the monsters, people set up a barrier around the village, and the villagers lived inside the barrier.

Monsters are ferocious, and humans will have card makers and card spirit masters to fight against them.

Xie Yuwei's father was one of the few card spirit masters in the village, and her mother was a mysterious card maker. Two years ago, they went out on business and never returned.

After encountering the demon wolf, Xie Yuwei fled. During her escape, she unexpectedly discovered a glowing, strange stone.

She was just an ordinary twelve-year-old girl who had not yet tested her talent as a Card Spirit Master. If she encountered a demon wolf under these circumstances, she would only face certain death.

In desperation, she instinctively felt that the strange stone could offer her a glimmer of hope.

So without thinking, she rushed straight towards the strange rock.

The strange stone contained immense and mysterious power. When the original body lunged at it, it unleashed a powerful energy that killed the original body.

And the modern-day Xie Yuwei transmigrated into her body.

After processing her memories, Jie Yuwei felt a pang of melancholy.

Having transmigrated into this world, I have no idea how my parents are doing.

Will she ever see them again?

Xie Yuwei subconsciously understood that she had to live in this world; if she died, she would truly be dead.

To survive in this world, the most urgent task is to find food.

From the original owner's memories, it was learned that the wolf fangs floating from the corpse of the demonic wolf that had been killed were the bones of a demonic beast, which contained all the power of the demonic beast.

Card makers can create powerful cards using animal bones.

Card Spirit Masters can also absorb the power from animal bones to advance in rank.

Animal bones are treasures in this world.

Xie Yuwei obtained a wolf tooth, which was equivalent to acquiring a considerable fortune.

Knowing that wolf fangs could be exchanged for money, Xie Yuwei felt a little more at ease.

She carefully examined her body and unexpectedly discovered that the strange stone from the original owner's memories had somehow appeared in her mind.

The moment she became aware of it, she saw it in her mind.

Recalling her battle just now, Jie Yuwei realized that she was able to possess such skills entirely thanks to this strange stone.

The strange stone had already become dull, and if another magical beast came, she wouldn't be able to continue dealing with it.

Without hesitation, Xie Yuwei recalled the original owner's memories, picked up the basket that had fallen to the ground, grabbed the wolf tooth, and ran down the mountain.

As she ran, she gradually digested the original owner's memories.

The more Xie Yuwei learned about this world, the more she realized how incredibly audacious the original owner of this body was.

She was just an ordinary girl, yet she dared to venture into the deep mountains, and none of the monsters that filled the mountains ate her.

Xie Yuwei ran down the mountain as fast as she could. When she reached the outer edge of the deep mountain, she saw a thin, transparent barrier that separated the deep mountain from the outside.

This barrier only isolates creatures containing magic; Jie Yuwei can easily cross it.

Xie Yuwei entered the barrier, and before she even reached the foot of the mountain, she heard someone calling her:
"Sister Wei!"

"My God, Sister Wei, you actually came out of the mountains alive."

Xie Yuwei looked up and saw villagers from Nanwen Village.

Seeing their concern for her, as if they had been waiting for her there on purpose, she spoke up and said, "Uncles and aunts, I'm fine, I'm out."
