Chapter 26 Iron Egg Covered in Blood

As soon as the auntie said that, everyone's hearts sank to the bottom.

Although there are no large wild animals like tigers or lions on this mountain, there are quite a few snakes, and even wild boars occasionally appear.

Tie Dan's mother was so frightened that her body went limp, and Tie Dan's father supported her, his face ashen.

"Stop talking nonsense! Can't you just hope the child is alright?" the village chief shouted. "Instead of this pointless speculation, the child could have been found! Everyone, get moving! It'll get cold up here tonight!"

Everyone scattered again to search everywhere. Jiang Man held Shi An's hand with her left hand and Shi Ning's hand with her right hand, and she was also trying her best to search.

But she had a vague, uneasy feeling about it.

There are some about Tie Dan, but there are more about Shi An and Shi Ning.

"Tiedan! Tiedan! Where are you?"

Shi An and Shi Ning also shouted at the top of their lungs, their voices echoing through the woods. Her eyes kept searching the surroundings, not missing any corner where someone might be hiding.

Suddenly, Jiang Man's gaze was drawn to a strip of blue cloth hanging on a tree branch. The blue stood out starkly against the green backdrop.

"You two stay here and don't move."

Jiang Man whispered to Shi An and Shi Ning, then carefully walked towards the strip of cloth.

Her heart was pounding faster and faster, and a sense of foreboding washed over her.

As she walked around several large trees and came to a slightly open flat area, the sight before her made her hands and feet instantly turn cold.

Tie Dan lay there, covered in blood, motionless.

His clothes were tattered and stained with mud and blood. Jiang Man felt her breath catch in her throat. She froze for a few seconds before snapping out of it and yelling at the top of her lungs, "Help! Tie Dan is here! Help!"

Soon, Tie Dan's parents heard the shouts and rushed over. When Tie Dan's mother saw the scene, her face turned deathly pale.

Her lips trembled, her eyes widened, and her gaze was filled with fear and despair.

"My son..."

Her voice sounded like it was being squeezed from deep in her throat, tinged with sobs, and then her legs gave way, and she collapsed to the ground.

She tried to crawl towards Tiedan, desperately gripping the ground with both hands, dirt getting stuck under her fingernails, but she was oblivious, only crying out, "Tiedan, wake up, Mom's coming..."

Tie Dan's father, Zhang Dashan, stared wide-eyed, his face filled with disbelief.

His lips trembled slightly, and his throat seemed to be choked by something. After a long while, he finally let out a roar: "Who did this?"

His face flushed crimson, and the veins on his neck bulged. The next second, he rushed over, scooped up Tie Dan in his arms, and looking at Tie Dan's lifeless face, his eyes instantly reddened.

His hands trembled as he carefully stroked Tiedan's face, his voice hoarse and choked with emotion: "Son, Dad's here, don't scare Dad..."

Sun Meifen dragged Qin Hua along with the crowd. The moment she saw Tie Dan, she covered her mouth with her hand, and her angry and disdainful expression turned deathly pale.

When Qin Hua saw Tie Dan covered in blood and in a state of uncertainty, his face turned deathly pale, and a barely perceptible hint of guilt flashed in his eyes.

He instinctively took a small step back, his heart suddenly pounding, as if an invisible hand was gripping his heart tightly. His gaze darted away, unable to look directly at Tie Dan's miserable state, and cold sweat had appeared on his palms. He secretly wiped his hands on the hem of his clothes, trying to calm himself down.

At this moment, the surrounding villagers gathered around, discussing the matter animatedly. But seeing Tiedan's miserable state, they couldn't help but sigh.

With great difficulty, Tie Dan's mother, Yang, crawled to Tie Dan's side. She hugged him tightly in her arms, as if she could pass on her life force to her son.

She cried her heart out, repeatedly muttering, "Tiedan, you're my life, you can't be hurt... If anything happens to you, I won't live anymore..."

Zhang Dashan held Tiedan in his arms, his eyes filled with helplessness. He looked up at the people around him, his voice pleading, "Is there anyone who knows medicine? Please come and save my son!"

His eyes darted frantically through the crowd, hoping to find a glimmer of hope. An older villager approached, examined Tiedan's condition, frowned, and said, "His condition isn't good. We need to carry him back to the village quickly and find a doctor."

Upon hearing this, the crowd hurriedly found tree branches and strips of cloth, hastily made a stretcher, and carefully placed Tie Dan on it.

Zhang Dashan held the stretcher tightly, his eyes never leaving Tiedan's face, as if Tiedan would disappear if he turned his head.

Tie Dan's mother cried as she followed beside the stretcher, constantly murmuring words of blessing for Tie Dan's safety.

Xu Laosan quickly ran ahead to clear a path for everyone, shouting as he ran, "Make way, make way, save Tiedan!"

Qin Hua followed silently behind, his mood growing heavier and heavier, each step feeling like a thousand-pound burden pressing down on him.

He dared not get too close, nor dared to stay too far away. He could only lower his head and pretend to be worried, but he could not hide his inner panic and guilt.

He secretly prayed that Tie Dan would recover quickly, so that he could cover up his involvement in the matter. Otherwise, once the truth was revealed, he didn't know how to face Tie Dan's parents, let alone the people in the whole village.

Xu Laosan could drive a tractor, but it could only carry a limited number of people. Zhang Dashan held Tiedan tightly in his arms, while Tiedan's mother sat to the side crying.

The village chief was also on the trip. The others watched the tractor drive away, their hearts filled with mixed emotions.

"Alright, everyone go home now. Thank you all for your help tonight."

Jiang He didn't participate in the search. She stood not far away, wearing an overcoat, watching. She happened to meet Qin Hua's guilty-looking eyes, which were darting around everywhere. She snorted coldly.

"You're useless; you can push the wrong person no matter what. No wonder you were cheated out of millions in debt in your past life, and ended up killing someone and spending your life in jail."

Jiang He still remembered Qin Hua's fate in her previous life; otherwise, she wouldn't have dared to ask Qin Hua, who was only a few years old, to do such a thing in this life.

Some people are inherently evil.

With parents like those, how good could he possibly be?

Lin Yanqing and the other educated youth lived quite far away, and they only just received the news and came here, but it was already too late.

Why did you come out?

Lin Yanqing looked at Jiang He, who was wearing an overcoat, whose large body blocked the view of the other male educated youth behind her.

"They're not even dressed properly."

Seeing how possessive Lin Yanqing was of her, Jiang He smiled shyly and said, "I heard a noise and thought something had happened outside, so I came out to check."
