Chapter 33 is definitely Jiang Man's deliberate revenge.

But Liu Chunlian wouldn't listen at all. As if she had lost her mind, she suddenly reached out to grab Jiang Man's hair, cursing, "Pah! I knew you had bad intentions and couldn't stand to see my brother doing well. I'm going to teach you a lesson today."

Jiang Man dodged to the side, and Liu Chunlian missed her target, but almost fell to the ground because she used too much force.

After regaining her balance, she became even more unruly, waving her hands and lunging at Jiang Man again, shouting as she did so: "You little bitch, this isn't over yet! If anything happens to my brother, I'll fight you to the death!"

The bystanders couldn't stand it any longer and stepped forward to stop them.

Wang Xiu was trembling with anger and shouted, "Liu Chunlian, have you no shame? Your brother did something wrong, and instead of reflecting on it, you're throwing a tantrum and hitting people. How can you be so hypocritical?"

The courtyard was in chaos because of Liu Chunlian's tantrum and crying. The village chief frowned and his face grew increasingly gloomy. He couldn't stand Liu Chunlian's unreasonable behavior any longer. He waved his hand and shouted to the few strong young men around him, "You guys, drag her away from here. Stop making trouble. Is there no reason to talk about this?"

Upon hearing the village chief's instructions, the young men rushed forward, each grabbing one of Liu Chunlian's arms and dragging her out of the yard.

Liu Chunlian refused to give in. She struggled desperately, kicking her legs wildly on the ground, and still crying out, "Let me go! My brother is innocent! You can't just take him away like this! It's all that wicked girl Jiang Man's doing..."

Her voice was hoarse from crying, and her face was covered in tears and snot; she looked incredibly disheveled.

No matter how much she struggled, the young men were strong and managed to drag her away.

Along the way, Liu Chunlian's cries echoed on the village path, attracting many villagers to peek and whisper about the farce that had unfolded that day.

Meanwhile, Jiang Jianguo was happily heading home from town.

He recently became the village accountant, which is something to be proud of. Today he went to the town for further training.

Jiang He and Lin Yanqing walked hand in hand. They had already set a wedding date and were just waiting to tell their families so that everyone could share in their joy.

As darkness fell, Jiang Jianguo, Jiang He, and Lin Yanqing walked into the village, chatting and laughing.

But as soon as they entered the village, they sensed something was wrong. Along the way, the villagers looked at them strangely, pointed at them behind their backs, and whispered among themselves.

Jiang He's heart skipped a beat, and she began to have doubts. Her first thought was, could it be that Jiang Man had told others what happened at the state-run restaurant after returning to the village?

Thinking of this, her face flushed red instantly. She felt both ashamed and angry. She kept her head down the whole way, and even her steps felt heavy. Her good mood vanished without a trace.

Lin Yanqing noticed Jiang He's unusual behavior, gently patted her hand, and whispered to comfort her, "Don't overthink it. Maybe it's not because of that. We'll find out when we get back."

Jiang He nodded slightly, but her heart was still pounding with anxiety. As soon as they entered their courtyard, they heard a heart-wrenching cry; upon closer listening, they recognized it as Liu Chunlian's voice.

Jiang He and Jiang Jianguo were both stunned, their faces full of confusion, wondering what had happened this time.

As soon as Liu Chunlian saw them return, she was overjoyed, as if she had seen a savior. She broke free from the person holding her and ran towards them, shouting as she ran, "Old man, you're finally back! You have to stand up for us! Chunzhu has been arrested by the police! It's all because of that Jiang Man! She framed Chunzhu, and now Chunzhu is innocent and dead!"

As she spoke, she burst into tears again, the sound of which was particularly jarring in the quiet night.

Upon hearing this, Jiang Jianguo's eyes widened in disbelief. He quickly asked, "What exactly happened? Why was Chunzhu arrested by the police? And what does this have to do with Jiang Man?"

Liu Chunlian quickly wiped away her tears and sobbed, "This afternoon, I don't know what Jiang Man was thinking, she insisted that Chunzhu bullied Wang Xiu, and even took people to Wang Xiu's house. As a result, the police came and arrested Chunzhu without saying a word!"

"Don't you know Chunzhu? He's just a playful kid. He would never do something like that. Jiang Man must have framed him on purpose. Old man, you have to help Chunzhu, or his life will be ruined!"

Jiang Jianguo frowned, somewhat skeptical. Although he knew that Liu Chunzhu was indeed a bit unreliable, the idea that he bullied people and even got arrested by the police sounded too far-fetched.

He turned to look at Jiang He and Lin Yanqing and asked, "Do you two know about this?"

Jiang He shook her head. She had just returned and didn't know the specifics. However, after hearing what Liu Chunlian said, she felt a little smug, thinking that Jiang Man was probably in big trouble and might get severely punished.

On the surface, she still pretended to be surprised and said, "Dad, I don't know either. We just got back. As soon as we entered the house, we heard Mom crying. We don't know what happened either."

Lin Yanqing remained silent. He felt that this matter was probably not so simple. Jiang Man was not the kind of person who would falsely accuse someone, but given the current situation, he could not rashly express any opinion and could only wait and see.

Jiang Jianguo pondered for a while and felt that he should find out the truth first. He said to Liu Chunlian, "Chunlian, don't cry. Crying won't solve anything. I'll go and find out what happened. If Chunzhu is really wronged, I will definitely try to help him. But if he made a mistake, no one can save him."

Upon hearing this, Liu Chunlian quickly nodded and said, "You must go quickly! Chunzhu must be so scared in that police station. My heart is breaking."

As soon as Jiang Jianguo left, Jiang He sat down, held her mother's hand and said, "Mom, today Yan Qing and I ran into Jiang Man at the state-run restaurant. Yan Qing and I kindly invited her to dinner, but she ended up ripping us off."

"Really?" Liu Chunlian immediately connected the two things and said resentfully, "He probably wants to get revenge on us, so he deliberately framed your uncle."

"Hooliganism is a serious crime now. If the charge is proven, you could be shot."

Lin Yanqing frowned slightly: "Even if Jiang Man is bad, she wouldn't want to kill someone, would she?"

"What do you mean, Yan Qing? Are you implying that my uncle really acted like a scoundrel?" Jiang He immediately retorted angrily, "If you still like Jiang Man, then marry her. You don't need to defend her here!"
