Harry returns from Hogwarts Legacy
Chapter 11 School starts
Chapter 11 School starts
The pillow fight was more or less playful, so Dudley didn't cry for help, but just let Harry beat him with the pillow.
I don't know why, but since that night, Dudley has become Harry's follower.
In the month before school started, Dudley treated Harry like a completely different person.
But only Harry knew that, on the one hand, Dudley was a little afraid of his magic, and the biggest reason was because he promised him that when he returned home again, he would bring him some snacks from the wizarding world.
Seeing how fat he was, Harry felt it necessary to prescribe some weight loss potion for him.
Harry spent all the 750 pounds he got from the Dursleys on Muggle snacks, especially Coca-Cola.
God knows how much he wanted a sip of happy water in the Victorian era.
Considering the purchasing power of the pound, Harry took the Knight Bus alone and went to Diagon Alley again, and bought a suitcase with an invisible extension spell attached.
He stuffed all the Muggle snacks into the suitcase, and seeing that there was still some space left, he stuffed all his books and clothes in as well.
This suitcase cost him thirty gold galleons.
As the saying goes, you get what you pay for, and Harry was very satisfied with this suitcase.
A month passed in a flash, and the day of school opening was approaching.
Since Dudley also wanted to go to Smeltings School, the Dursleys had to drive to London to take Dudley to school.
"I've always wondered, where do you get your wizard money?"
Uncle Vernon suddenly asked while sitting in the car.
Harry replied: "It's the inheritance my parents left me, locked up in Gringotts -"
The car braked suddenly and Harry almost hit the front seat.
In the rearview mirror hanging from the front of the car, Harry saw Uncle Vernon's face darken.
Could it be that... he was complaining about not paying him child support? Harry speculated in his mind and blurted it out.
"I know now that I have money, I can pay for all these years of child support..."
"How come you are so much like your father, Potter!" Uncle Vernon turned his fat body over in his seat and faced Harry, saying angrily, "He is also so arrogant and conceited -"
Harry instinctively defended his father: "My father is not arrogant, and neither am I. If you don't mind, could you please stop the car by the roadside?"
Vernon snorted and parked the car on the side of the road.
He turned around again and angrily cursed: "Listen, kid, I don't care how much pure gold is stored in your damn Gringotts. I love Petunia, I love her more than anything else! If it weren't for her, do you think I would let a freak like you into my house!"
"You know Gringotts?" Harry asked with a raised eyebrow. He knew Uncle Vernon's brakes were because he had just mentioned Gringotts.
Uncle Vernon's face turned purple again, and his beard twitched as he roared: "Gringotts, of course I know Gringotts! When I met that weirdo - your father in the restaurant, Petunia said he had no job, so I wanted to introduce him to the company, even though he didn't have a recognized academic qualification. I even wanted to sponsor him, but your father -"
"Dursley! Oh my God, Dursley!" Aunt Petunia was sitting in the passenger seat, clutching her collar with one hand, as if she couldn't breathe.
"Like father, like son, we've arrived at the station, you can get off now!" Uncle Vernon said angrily. Harry looked up and saw that it was indeed King's Cross Station.
"Sorry." Harry smiled at the Dursleys, and said to Dudley, "I'll get off then."
"Remember what you promised me." Dudley mouthed to Harry.
Harry nodded, took the suitcase out of the trunk, pulled the handle, put the suitcase on it, turned around and left.
That was a grudge from the previous generation and had nothing to do with him, so there was no need to waste his energy on it.
"Platform nine and three quarters..." Harry muttered, pulling his suitcase into the station.
It was not the first time for Harry to enter the platform, so he was not in a hurry. He pulled the suitcase slowly with a relaxed expression. He waited until the red-haired family in front of him entered the station before he pulled the suitcase into Platform Nine and Three-Quarters.
Thick smoke from steam locomotives swirled above the crowd, cats of all colors were running around under people's feet, and along with the noisy conversations of people, owls were also chirping one after another, interweaving into a melody called the start of school.
It has a very wizarding feel and features.
As it was almost time for the train to depart, the first few carriages were already packed with students. Some of them leaned out of the windows to talk with their families, some were laughing and playing in their seats, and others were quietly eating snacks.
Harry even saw a Chocolate Frog jump out of the open car window, and the student who had let him escape looked annoyed.
He found a separate compartment in the back of the car, and just as he put his suitcase in it, he met a pair of identical twins with red hair.
"You are - Harry Potter?" asked the one on the left, with a look of surprise on his face.
Before Harry could answer, a woman's voice was heard outside.
"Fred, George, are you in the car?"
"Coming, Mom!" The two of them said goodbye to Harry in a hurry, turned around and ran out.
Harry leaned back in his seat, staring blankly at the crowd outside.
I could still hear the twins' mother scolding them: "This poor child is not an animal in a zoo for you to look at - Fred, George!"
The mother's voice became quieter and quieter, and Harry had no interest in eavesdropping, so he sat in his seat and leaned back in a comfortable position.
On the platform, the mother was still scolding her children.
"I don't allow you to ask him any questions about the scar! Don't let him think of that on the first day of school!" She scolded in a low voice: "All the wizards celebrated the day he got the scar and killed the mysterious man, but for him, it was the loss of his beloved parents - God, poor child..."
"Okay, calm down." Someone, Fred or George, said, "We get it."
The whistle sounded.
"Okay, kids, it's time to say goodbye." The mother smiled and kissed the children on the forehead one by one: "Get in the car, Ronnie darling - you two, don't let me receive another letter from the professor complaining about you and your classmates playing pranks!"
The latter sentence was said to the twins.
(The following is Rowling's supplement on the first meeting between the Dursleys and the Potters in pottermore. Vernon's words are not my personal setting. James even felt a little ashamed afterwards and promised Lily that he would repair his relationship with the Vernons as soon as he had the chance)
