Chapter 13 Grindelwald
"Dumbledore?" Harry repeated.

Ron thought Harry didn't know Dumbledore, so he said, "Don't tell me you don't know Dumbledore, man, he's the greatest wizard in the world."

"Really?" Harry said casually without commenting.

"If you don't believe me, turn the card over." Ron said, pulling the card from Harry's hand, "I'll read it to you."

"Albus Dumbledore, current headmaster of Hogwarts, is widely regarded as the greatest wizard of our time."

"Dumbledore's well-known contributions include: defeating the dark wizard Grindelwald in 1945, discovering the twelve uses of dragon's blood, and making great achievements in alchemy with his partner Nicolas Flamel..."

Harry heard a familiar name and interrupted him subconsciously: "Who?"

"Nicolas Flamel." Ron shrugged. "His partner. Do you know him?"

"No, I mean the one before that, who did he beat?" asked Harry.

"The Dark Wizard, Grindelwald," Ron replied.

This familiar name immediately brought Harry's memory back to his fifth grade a hundred years ago.

……

"Hey, man."

Harry's roommate Gareth sat next to him and nudged his ribs with his elbow: "Did you hear that we are going to have a transfer student this year?"

"Really?" Harry didn't think anything of it and just picked up the glass of water.

"Yes, I heard it from my aunt." Gareth scratched his head: "You know, she is the vice-president, she is always more informed than us - but the party has already started, why hasn't she come yet?"

As Gareth finished his words, the door swung open.

Harry turned his head and saw Professor Figo, who looked disheveled, with an incredibly beautiful girl standing next to him.

Her hair was much more blond than Malfoy's, Harry thought.

As if feeling Harry's gaze, the girl looked at Harry and smiled sweetly.

That smile was like moonlight, spreading in Harry's heart. He was caught off guard and the water in his mouth spurted out. He clumsily wiped his mouth with his robe and just gave the girl a silly smile in return.

"Hey, man, come back to your senses." Gareth teased him, "Oh my God, your eyes are glued to others. Look at Malfoy's face. Be careful, she will make fun of you again!"

Harry came to his senses and looked back at the Slytherin table. Cassandra Malfoy was looking at him with extreme disgust.

"Slytherin!" the Sorting Hat shouted, and there was warm applause from the four long tables.

By the time Harry reacted, the girl had already walked up to him amid Gareth's envious and jealous eyes.

“Is it good for you?”

"Yes, sure." Harry hurriedly pushed Gareth, and under the latter's resentful gaze, the girl sat next to Harry.

It was from this time that Harry and Veratia met and became close friends.

So no matter what, Harry didn't believe that Willatia would become a dark wizard.

"How can she be a dark wizard?"

Ron chewed his candy and glanced at Harry: "She? Oh no, buddy, isn't Grindelwald a man? I think his name is... Oh, yes, Gellert Grindelwald. I heard that his relationship with Dumbledore is quite complicated."

"Oh." Harry breathed a sigh of relief for no apparent reason.

Then he remembered that it was Gellert.

He was invited by Veratria to go to Nurmengard Castle in the Austro-Hungarian Empire during Christmas in the fifth grade. At that time, he met Gellert, Veratria's younger brother. He was only eight years old at the time. He looked like a sunflower parrot and had a bad temper.

but……

That little sunflower parrot, him?

Dark wizard?
I don’t know if it’s dark or not, but the little face is quite easy to pinch.

"Dude, you really should brush up on your common sense about the wizarding world." Ron said with some regret, "You are the savior, you can't go on like this." "You're right." Harry nodded in agreement.

At this moment, there was a knock on the room door.

A chubby little boy with tears in his eyes asked pitifully, "Excuse me, have you seen my toad?"

Seeing that both of them were shaking their heads to indicate that they didn't see it, the boy burst into tears.

"It always tries to run away from me, and I lose it again..."

"Relax a little," Ron advised, "You may find it soon."

However, the boy ran away without looking back.

"If I had bought a toad, I would have thrown it away long ago." Ron spread his hands. "I really can't appreciate that thing. Fortunately, I brought Scabbers. Although it is old and lazy, and it is like dead when it sleeps, it has been with me for so many years after all. To be honest, I actually like it very much. Although it is a mouse, it is very obedient when I hold it to sleep."

Harry really didn't expect that the friend he just met would be so heavy-handed that he would sleep with a mouse in his arms.

However, Harry chose to respect his friend's little quirk. After all, it is normal to sleep with pets.

But he would never allow Hedwig to have sex with him.

"Fred, George and I learned a spell yesterday that can turn this mouse yellow. I want to try it." Ron pulled out the old wand in his arms: "Look, the unicorn hair is about to show, but it doesn't matter."

"Is this Charlie's?" Harry asked.

"Yes, Charlie's old wand." Ron said helplessly.

Harry remembered what Ollivander had said, that it was the wand that chose the wizard.

Harry couldn't help but feel a little worried about using a wand that was approved for use by another wizard.

Before he could say anything, the door opened again.

"Has anyone seen a toad? A boy called Neville has lost a toad."

Harry looked up when he heard a familiar voice and said in surprise, "Hermione?"

"Oh, Harry?" Hermione also smiled happily. "I just wanted to find you, but when I saw Neville crying so pitifully, I wanted to help him find it - are you practicing magic? I did learn a few spells at home, but the results are not very good. Can you let me take a look?"

Ron was stunned by the rapid-fire speaking speed. It was the first time he saw someone speaking so fast.

Hermione sat next to Harry in a familiar manner, and Harry handed her a bag of Bibi Every-Flavour Beans.

Ron coughed twice and waved his wand: "Then let me try, daisies, sweet cream and sunshine, let me turn this silly mouse into golden -"

An awkward situation arose and nothing happened.

"Are you sure this is a spell?" Hermione looked at Ron suspiciously.

Ron put down his wand awkwardly, realizing that he had been tricked by his two twin brothers, again.

Hermione looked at Harry again: "Harry, what about you?"

"What did you say the boy's name was?" Harry asked.

"Neville," Hermione replied.

Harry drew his wand and pointed it at the door.

"Here comes Neville's toad—"

Hermione held her forehead with her hand. She really didn't expect that two people in the same compartment would be so unreliable.

One chants silly spells, the other has wild ideas.

"Do you expect to attract toads by this means?" she asked helplessly.
