Harry returns from Hogwarts Legacy

Chapter 271 Inviting Cassandra

Chapter 271 Inviting Cassandra

For a moment, Harry felt that he might be destined to be a master of balancing things for the rest of his life.

As the saying goes, everyone has their biases. If Harry were to choose, his favorite would probably be Vivi.

But then again, he did indeed do wrong Cassandra.

"Actually, you can just throw the problem out there."

That evening, Sirius called him back and gave him his most sincere advice: "Instead of wasting your time here agonizing over who to choose, why not throw this question out there and let them decide who will ultimately become your dance partner..."

Upon hearing Sirius's suggestion, Harry began to question his life, much like a future world-class Italian football star from the neck down.

No, this method...

Isn't that a bit too much?
I might be a bit of a jerk, but I'm not a complete jerk.

"Isn't this a bit too much?" Harry asked suspiciously. "Isn't this too bad?"

"Look at you," Sirius said with a look of utter disappointment. "You're neither good nor bad enough, and your body is still so weak..."

Harry agreed to the first two sentences, and said a few more.

But he absolutely could not admit to the latter statement.

Virtual?
Am I weak?

Ha, don't be fooled by how proactive she is with Wei; she's always the one begging for mercy!
"Where am I weak?" he retorted. "Impossible, absolutely impossible!"

“Oh, I was just saying.” Sirius chuckled and continued, “Anyway, this is my suggestion: if you don’t want to fight amongst yourselves, just pass this problem on to them… Of course, if things go wrong after you do this, don’t reveal my name as Godfather…”

Harry: %@#¥!
You still say this isn't a bad idea?!
Harry hung up the phone dejectedly, took a deep breath, and decided to be a responsible man.

In layman's terms, you should quickly choose one and prepare to face the wrath of the other two.

but……

This time, Harry decided to choose Cassandra.

Now that he had made up his mind, he planned to talk to Cassandra about it after the Potions test tomorrow.

The next day, Hogwarts had changed into a winter Christmas decoration.

The Hogwarts teachers and students showed a strong desire to impress the guests from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang, and they seemed determined to present the castle at its best for this Christmas.

The school was decorated with lanterns and colorful decorations, and Harry found that he had never seen such beautiful decorations since he entered the school.

The marble staircase railings were covered with icicles that never melted, and the twelve Christmas trees that were always placed in the auditorium were decorated with all sorts of little trinkets, from glittering holly berries to live, chirping golden owls.

The armor was enchanted; it would sing Christmas carols whenever someone passed by.

It's really funny to hear an empty helmet singing "Oh, come on, you pious people."

The armor only knew half the lyrics, and the gatekeeper Filch had to pull Peeves out of the armor several times because Peeves would hide inside and fill in the gaps in the armor's singing with his own lyrics, which were all very crude and unpleasant.

The Potions class test was held in the Great Hall, which was filled with Christmas decorations. Since it was an after-school assignment, most students were quite casual and left the Great Hall as soon as they finished.

The entire class sat together, engrossed in answering questions, while Snape stood at the back, seemingly absorbed in reading a book on potions.

Ron was still sighing and racking his brains. He was really bad at potions, or rather, he didn't like the course.

Just as he was struggling with this decision, a note was suddenly passed to him.

He looked up and saw George nodding at him.

Ron pursed his lips and looked down at the note, which read:

"Hurry up and act, or all the good stuff will be snatched up by others."

Ron wrote "So who are you planning to ask to go with you?" on it, crumpled up the note, and threw it back.

George opened it, glanced at it, and gave his foolish brother a scornful smile.

He looked up to see where Snape was, and after confirming that the professor wasn't paying attention to him, George picked up a crumpled piece of paper and threw it at Angelina, who was whispering with Spinnet not far away.

"What's wrong?" Angelina asked.

"Would you like to come to the ball with me?" George mouthed, making a dancing gesture as he mentioned the ball.

“Okay,” Angelina readily agreed.

George was pleased to receive the feedback, and he winked at Ron happily, clearly meaning "learn from me."

Ron took a deep breath.

He never imagined that inviting a girl to a dance would be so simple.

Encouraged, he turned to look at Hermione.

Hermione was almost finished with her test. Just as she wrote the last letter, Ron asked, "Hey, um, I said... Hermione?"

"What's wrong?" Hermione looked up.

“You’re a girl,” Ron said with certainty.

Hermione glanced at the hopelessly hopeless Ron and said with a cold laugh, "I'm glad you noticed that!"

Harry knew things were about to get bad; if Ron continued, who knew what infuriating things he might say.

“Um,” Harry quickly said, “Ron has been telling me for the past couple of days that he wants to invite you to the ball, but he’s a little shy…”

Hearing Harry's words, Hermione was secretly delighted.

However, Ron pouted, and just as he was about to retort, Harry grabbed his shoulder.

Shut up, bro!

“If that’s the case, why didn’t you tell me sooner?” Hermione said cheerfully. She stood up, handed the exam paper to Professor Snape, and said with her head bowed, “I’ll reluctantly agree, Ronald—so you won’t be laughed at for not having a dance partner, haha~”

After saying that, Hermione skipped and hopped away from the Great Hall like a little rabbit.

"You really are..." Ron didn't know whether he should be happy or not, anyway... it was a bit complicated.

“Oh, you’re welcome,” Harry said. “If I let you say it, you might say something hurtful and push Hermione away—”

“What do you mean by pushing it away?” Ron protested. “Don’t talk about me, you should talk about yourself too… I think you should make a choice. This cowardly behavior isn’t going to work. I suggest you decide as soon as possible. What do you say?”

"I've made up my mind..."

Before they could finish speaking, Snape appeared behind them and smacked each of them on the head with a scroll.

Harry shrugged, stood up, and handed the test paper on the table to Snape.

Snape took the test paper and gave a cold snort.

Harry really wanted to ask Snape if he had ever attended a Christmas ball at school, and if he had been all alone, but he wisely held back.

What if he sat outside the dance floor, gritting his teeth, watching James and Lily dance gracefully inside? That would be...

This is not good.

After leaving the Great Hall, Harry planned to go to the Slytherin common room to find Cassandra. When he reached the door, he saw Draco standing there, chatting and laughing with Crabbe and Goyle.

“Draco,” he said.

Draco turned around, saw it was Harry, and greeted him with a smile.

Harry pointed to the common room and asked, "Is Cassandra there? I need to talk to her about something important."

Upon hearing Harry's question, Draco leaned back strategically, filled with awe.

"Looks like you've finally come to your senses?" Draco rambled on, looking extremely pleased. "You've finally come to your senses, wanting to invite Cassandra to the ball to be your date... Well, I must say, Miss Grindelwald has graduated from Hogwarts after all... I mean, graduated..."

Even though Draco wanted to stand up for Cassandra, he didn't dare to speak ill of Vivi.

After all, if Vivi finds out, even Harry and Cassandra can't protect him.

“Call her out,” Harry said to Draco.

Draco left happily, and a little while later he came out, followed by a cold-looking Cassandra.

“Speak,” Cassandra said, her head held high, her long neck as graceful as a swan’s. “What do you want from me? Or… do you want to tell me something not so good?”

Harry looked at Draco suspiciously, but Draco shrugged, indicating that he hadn't ruined the surprise beforehand.

“Come with me,” Harry said to Cassandra, taking her little hand in the process.

Draco took a deep breath and held it, not daring to disrupt this historic moment.

Great! Excellent!

Potter's finally figured it out! He's started taking my ancestor's hand!

Cassandra was stunned when her hand was suddenly grabbed.

She hadn't expected Harry to be so direct.

It must be said that Cassandra's small hands felt nice to the touch. She always liked to wear a pair of white lace gloves on her hands. Although you couldn't feel the skin inside, you could still feel its amazing softness through the gloves.

It's nothing like her personality at all—well, not quite. You could say that beneath Cassandra's haughty exterior, she's actually quite soft inside.

Cassandra, whose hand was being held, remained silent and followed Harry forward with her head held high.

But her little face was rosy, and if you looked closely, you could see that her beautiful eyes were already glazed over.

Harry dragged her all the way to an abandoned classroom. He closed the door, but didn't let go of Cassandra's little hand.

It was at this moment that Cassandra finally came to her senses.

She glanced around at her surroundings, then parted her thin lips slightly.

"What, is there something you're hiding that you have to bring me here to tell you?"

Harry could clearly see the mockery in those phoenix eyes.

The small mole at the corner of her eye added a touch of foxy charm to her.

“Kathy,” he said, “I, um…”

"What's wrong?" Cassandra asked.

Harry's mind flashed to Vivi—the enraged version, the same Vivi who had taught Gellert a lesson.

However, after only a moment's thought, he banished the image of Vivi from his mind.

Just kidding, if she scares us, how will we ever enjoy the bliss of having two wives?

He took a deep breath and looked at Cassandra slowly and firmly.

“I would like to invite you to the dance,” he said.

Upon hearing the news, Cassandra was momentarily stunned.

Then, a slight smile appeared on her lips.

“Oh, really?” Cassandra said with a light laugh. “What, Grindelwald rejected you? So you’ve settled for me and come to the ball with you?”

She regretted it as soon as she said it, but it was just an instinct; she was used to making sarcastic remarks.

Harry, who knew her well, naturally didn't take it seriously. He leaned against the table next to Cassandra, his hand still clasped in hers.

“I’m serious, Case,” he said. “I didn’t invite Vivi or Papiyas… I think I should invite you to the ball, just you.”

Cassandra's throat bobbed, and a strange light flickered in her eyes.

"Oh?" she asked, "Why?"

reason?

There are, of course, many reasons...

But Harry, who had learned a great deal from Sirius, knew what the optimal solution was in this situation.

“Does it have to be a why?” Harry chuckled and reached out to ruffle Cassandra’s hair. “I just thought it was a reason, and then I did it, that’s all.”

This answer is undoubtedly perfect.

Cassandra's gaze gradually softened, eventually turning into a pool of spring water.

“Okay.” She nodded with a smile. “I promise you, I’ll go to the Christmas ball with you this year…”

Finally, with a half-smile, she asked, "And what about your Grindelwald? If she knew you invited me but not her, I think, given her personality, she'd probably blow Hogwarts castle to pieces..."

Hey, what do you mean by "my Grindelwald"...?

Oh, it really does seem to be my Grindelwald.

I'll talk to her about it tonight.

Harry answered with a smile, but released his hand from Cassandra's small hand and moved it to her thigh.

"Don't worry, she'll understand."

“I don’t think so.” Cassandra seemed to be suppressing a laugh, her eyes full of mockery.

She seemed to have already anticipated how devastated Vivi would be when she learned of this news.

She had planned everything perfectly, but she never expected Harry to actually invite her out...

Just thinking about it made Cassandra feel that the resentment she had been holding in for a hundred years had completely vanished today.

Humph,
Grindelwald...

You have today too!
Just as Cassandra was enjoying her daydreams, the crystal ball communicator in Harry's arms suddenly rang.

"It's Vivi on the phone." Harry's heart skipped a beat. What did Vivi want to do by calling at this hour?
He answered Vivi's call, and Vivi's phantom image immediately appeared in front of him.

“Harry,” Vivi said with a slight smile, “where have you been? I can’t find you anywhere. Oh… I just happened to have a day off today, and Hermione and Ron said you weren’t in the Gryffindor common room.”
