Harry returns from Hogwarts Legacy
Chapter 349 I am the school board member!
Chapter 349 I am the school board member!
Papbi frowned upon hearing Umbridge's words.
No, is this so-called senior investigator really so lacking in boundaries?
“I don’t think this requires your permission, Senior Investigator.” Papiyas’s expression was serious; this was the first time such a kind-hearted person had put on a stern face. “Hogwarts belongs to the students, and they have the right to organize any clubs or other organizations within the school that do not violate school rules.”
"Including organizations that oppose the Ministry of Magic?" Umbridge still wore that fake smile.
“Do you really think that sweating it out at school and playing Quidditch can threaten the Ministry of Magic’s rule?” Pappy laughed. “Then the Ministry of Magic is far too fragile.”
“This involves authority! The authority of the Ministry of Magic!” Umbridge pleaded earnestly, hoping this school board member was a pragmatic person. “As a Hogwarts school board member, you certainly wouldn’t want the Ministry of Magic’s authority to be undermined, would you?”
“As you know, I am merely a Hogwarts Board member and a Senior Investigator,” Pappy chuckled. “The authority of the Ministry of Magic means nothing to me, madam, and I don’t believe Hogwarts is some place where low-class wizards can come and flaunt their authority! I remind you again, Senior Investigator, Hogwarts belongs to its students and professors!”
"So, you're planning to go against the Ministry of Magic?" Umbridge asked with a smile.
“You’re the one who’s chosen to go against me, Senior Investigator.” Papby slipped away, choosing to deflect the pressure.
Umbridge sighed.
She spoke again, trying to persuade him: "I think you may not know, but you have just returned to Hogwarts—the Ministry of Magic has evidence that some students are secretly plotting activities detrimental to the Ministry. They are being guided by Headmaster Dumbledore and want to attack the Ministry under his guidance, thereby seizing its power. Do you think this is the right thing to do?"
“This is my final statement,” Papiyas’s face suddenly turned cold. “Hogwarts is a school, not an arena for you dirty politicians to play politics and scheme. If you want to stir up trouble at Hogwarts, then as a member of the Board of Governors, I will absolutely not stand idly by! Please leave, Senior Investigator!”
Umbridge's smile vanished, and after giving Papbi a cold look for a moment, she turned and said, "You'll regret this, Ms. Sweeting!"
“Ms. Umbridge, I am the school board member!” Papbi said coldly.
Umbridge glared angrily at Pappi, then turned and left.
When leaving the house, he made sure to slam the door shut behind him.
The door slammed shut with a loud "bang" as she exerted force.
Looking at the closed door, Papiyas smiled dismissively.
She took out the crystal ball, intending to make a call to Vivi.
Angelina had just walked out of the captain's office in the arena.
“Alright, everyone, listen to me,” Angelina said, standing in front of her teammates with her hands on her hips. “I know the weather isn’t ideal, but we’ll likely be playing against the Slytherin team in these conditions, so we’d better practice how to play in the rain—Harry, didn’t you use some trick to keep your glasses from getting wet during that downpour against the Hufflepuff?”
“Yes, this is the waterproof and moisture-proof one.” Harry took out his wand and said, “I can cast this spell on everyone so that we don’t have to worry about getting wet in the wind and rain.”
"That's wonderful!" Angelina said with a beaming smile.
Harry walked up to his classmates and began to add strong waterproof protection to them.
"This spell is really good, I mean, very practical." Fred chuckled and skipped around a couple of times. "At least I feel less damp, and the wind and rain can't get into my clothes—"
“But senior investigators can get in,” George replied with a dry joke.
"What do you mean?" Fred asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Oh, a Muggle saying,” George replied. “The wind can come in, the rain can come in, but the king can’t—but we all know that’s a joke. Now neither wind nor rain can get into Hogwarts, but senior investigators can.”
“No problem at all,” George said with a grin.
“Now that everyone is ready,” Angelina said, bolstering her spirits. “Let’s get started on training. I know that sleeping in the dorm in this rain might be a better option, or chatting with everyone by the fireplace, but we’re Quidditch players, we can’t be so complacent!”
“If you hadn’t said that, Captain!” Arya Spinnet exclaimed, “I really wouldn’t have expected such a comfortable environment. Now I’m starting to regret it.”
"No going back!" Angelina said lazily. "Let's go!"
They picked up brooms and followed Angelina out of the dressing room.
The group trudged through the increasingly thick mud to the center of the field. Although there was a waterproof spell, visibility was still very low, the light rapidly diminished, and rain swept across the field.
"Okay, listen to my whistle," Angelina shouted, "Three—two—one—toot toot!"
Harry leaped into the air, splashing mud everywhere. The wind blew him slightly off-center, but luckily his eyesight was good enough to spot the Golden Snitch.
“Dude!” Ron yelled, “I have no idea how you saw the Golden Snitch—it’s hard enough just to see them hitting the ball.”
Then, a loud bang was heard.
Ron was nearly hit by the wandering ball—it struck the ring next to him.
Ron was so frightened that he had to use his sloth-like ability to roll over a tree to escape, but unfortunately Angelina didn't see it. In fact, she seemed to be blind to everything; they had no idea what anyone else was doing.
The wind grew stronger and stronger; the sound of rain pattering against the lake could even be heard in the distance from the Quidditch pitch.
Angelina practiced for over an hour before announcing that she was stopping.
She led the team members, who were shivering and grumbling from the cold wind, back to the locker room, insisting that this training session was not a waste of time, although her tone lacked conviction.
“At least we didn’t get wet, did we?” she reassured everyone.
“Hey, Captain!” Arya called out, turning around. “If only we didn’t have to feel the wind.”
Fred and George were particularly frustrated; both of them developed bowlegs and grimaced with every step they took.
“Several of mine might be broken,” Fred said in a somber voice.
“Mine isn’t,” George said through gritted teeth, “It’s terribly swollen—it seems to have gotten bigger again—”
Harry looked completely bewildered.
I suspect you're driving, but I have no proof.
“Thanks to you, Harry,” Fred said, sniffling. “If it weren’t for your idea, we might be soaking wet right now, lying in Madam Pomfrey’s infirmary wrapped in blankets.”
“Perhaps we’ll even get a little of Mrs. Pomfrey’s special cold medicine,” George said, rubbing his backside. “But we don’t need it now—how about we go warm ourselves by the fireplace later?”
“Okay,” Harry nodded in agreement.
As Harry entered the castle, he found Anne quietly standing there reading a book, with Sebastian looking on with a disapproving expression.
“Annie! Seber!” Harry raised his hand to greet them.
Upon hearing Harry's voice, Sebastian angrily floated up, then swooped down on Harry like a Stuka, aiming a punch at Harry's face—
However, they didn't hit anything.
Sebastian said nothing, spat at Harry, and floated down to the ground.
Harry was completely baffled. Wait, dude?
What are you doing?
Anne stepped forward apologetically: "Harry, don't worry, he might be in a bad mood—how are you? Are you feeling a little cold? Let's go to the Hogwarts kitchen for some hot drinks, how about pumpkin juice?"
“Okay.” Harry was a little reluctant to refuse Anne; he knew the little girl had been waiting for him all along.
Then he figured out why Sebastian was so angry.
Oh, so it's because Annie was waiting for me here...
You know, this is a mess.
“I’ll go to the Hogwarts kitchen with Anne first,” Harry said, turning to the others. “Anyone want to come along?”
"You two go ahead," Fred and George said with lewd grins. "We won't get in your way—have fun."
As they were talking, the two brothers grabbed Ron, who wanted to go to the Hogwarts kitchen for some chicken legs, and said to him seriously, "No, you don't want to."
Yeah, what are you doing in the kitchen? Just being a third wheel for these two?
To be honest, Harry is indeed very brave...
Look, he's already involved with Miss Grindelwald and Miss Malfoy, and now there's Miss Salou...
No, you're just naturally attractive to Slytherins, aren't you?
After everyone had left, Harry smiled at Anne and said, "Let's go to the kitchen together."
Harry drank two glasses of pumpkin juice in the kitchen before his hands felt less cold.
Even with the existence of a curse, flying so high in the sky and with such strong winds and rain, the cold is something that ordinary people cannot resist.
Almost an hour later, he returned to the Gryffindor common room, satisfied.
By this time, the common room was practically empty.
In this weather, everyone would rather go back to their dorm room, lie in their warm blankets, and have a good night's sleep than stay outside in this miserable weather.
Ron, on the other hand, was sitting reluctantly in the corner, with Hermione sitting next to him, holding a wand and staring at him. Jack was standing on Hermione's shoulder, constantly combing her hair with his mouth.
"Aren't you going to sleep yet?" Harry asked as he walked over.
“Still writing my paper,” Ron said listlessly. “It’s a Transfiguration paper. Hermione insists I finish it right now, or she won’t let me sleep…”
“It’s good that someone’s keeping an eye on you.” Harry patted Ron on the shoulder. “In that case, I won’t keep you from writing your paper here—Hermione, remember to be strict with him; it’s the responsibility you’ll have.”
Ron, weary, raised his head, his hand trembling as he gripped the pen, and asked with a last glimmer of hope:
Aren't you going to say a few words in my defense?
“Oh, no,” Harry waved his hand, “if I were to speak up for you now, I would be harming you—”
Ron glared at Harry through gritted teeth.
Harry patted Ron on the shoulder, laughed, and left the common room.
Ron didn't come back until he fell asleep.
Correspondingly, after Ron finally finished writing his paper and returned to his dorm, the first thing he did was wake Harry up.
"Harry, Harry!"
Harry groggily opened his eyes and looked outside; it was still dark outside.
He immediately sat up: "What happened! Did something occur?"
“Oh, it’s nothing,” Ron said, patting him on the shoulder. “I just noticed you weren’t sleeping in a very good position, so I wanted you to get up and correct it.”
Harry took a deep breath.
No, you fucking...
Forget it.
He rolled his eyes, rolled over, and lay back down on the bed.
The second day's classes weren't early or rushed, and Harry had given his homework to Anne to do, so he was relatively free compared to the other students.
As for OWLs?
Harry remembered that a hundred years ago, he had taken the OWLs exam and achieved a score of twelve O's.
Since he had already taken the exam, he didn't think he needed to take it again.
“Sometimes I really envy you,” Hermione said, sitting on the stool and watching Harry eat without a care in the world.
“What do you envy about me?” Harry continued wolfing down his sausage and mashed potatoes.
"I envy you for getting twelve O's!" Hermione said in a low voice.
Of course, she didn't really need to lower her voice, since no one was paying attention to their conversation. The auditorium was noisy enough to drown out their voices.
Harry smiled, and as he looked up to drink his pumpkin juice, he noticed Anne watching him.
"What's wrong?" Harry asked, turning his head.
“It’s nothing,” Anne smiled at Harry. “I just remembered something small.”
“Oh, so you need to take the OWLs.” Harry put down his pumpkin juice and said, “I remember you really wanted to go back to school, and taking the OWLs was your dream, wasn’t it?”
“Yes.” Anne recalled those painful days, but found that when she looked back now, the pain was gone, replaced by a sense of relief.
After crossing a mountain, when you look back, you'll find that the mountain was nothing special, and even the fierce winds and snows you experienced on that mountain were insignificant.
"Ugh--"
Lee Jordan suddenly walked over and whispered to everyone, "Have you heard? Ms. Sweetine and Umbridge had a fight yesterday!"
"Huh?" Fred put down his fork and asked in surprise, "Ms. Sweetine and Umbridge had a fight? What about it... wait, how did you know about this?"
“Of course, it was Umbridge herself who said it,” Lee Jordan smiled mysteriously. “Yesterday she wrote a letter to the Ministry of Magic, in which she severely criticized the uncooperative attitude of the school board trustee, Ms. Sweeting…”
