Harry returns from Hogwarts Legacy
Chapter 352 Long live Gryffindor!
Chapter 352 Long live Gryffindor!
Ron was confidently about grabbing Draco and turning him into a monster in an instant, while Hermione was taking an interest in Luna's hat.
She got a lion-head shaped hat, as big as a real lion's head, and wore it precariously on her head.
“Oh, Luna.” Hermione cradled Luna’s lion’s head in her hands. “It’s huge, isn’t it?”
“I support Gryffindor,” Luna said, pointing to her hat. “Let’s see what it does…”
She reached out and tapped her hat with her wand. The lion's head opened its mouth wide and let out a realistic roar, startling everyone around.
“Not bad, right?” Luna said cheerfully. “I wanted it to eat a snake that symbolizes Slytherin, but it was too late—anyway… good luck, Ron!”
After saying that, she winked meaningfully at Ron and drifted away.
“I also feel like I’ll have good luck!” Ron said happily. “I feel full of energy right now!”
"Ha." Hermione scoffed repeatedly. "Is it Luna's wink that gave you this power, Weasley!?"
“Of course not.” Ron immediately agreed. “How could it be Luna? It was clearly you who encouraged me.”
Hermione nodded in satisfaction.
She snuggled up to Ron and gave him a light kiss on the cheek.
"Good luck, Ron," she said, then smiled politely at Harry, "and you, Harry."
Harry knew he was just incidentally there; Hermione was mainly there to wish Ron good luck.
Ron was completely bewildered until Angelina came over to call him and led them through the hall, which brought him back to his senses.
"She kissed me..."
Ron muttered to himself, covering his face and touching the spot on his cheek where Hermione had kissed him. He looked confused, as if he didn't understand what had happened.
“Oh yeah, she kissed you,” Harry said from the side. “She definitely kissed you—so the question is, are you ready to wreak havoc?”
"Wait, what did you say?" Ron didn't hear what Harry said.
“Look.” Harry gestured with his chin toward Slytherin.
Ron looked in the direction Harry pointed and saw the crown-shaped badges pinned to the Slytherins' chests, which read:
Weasley is our king.
“That’s probably not a nice thing to say,” said Aria Spinnett, who had returned to her original appearance and was no longer the one with long eyebrows covering her face.
“I’ll take that as a compliment,” Ron said confidently. “Perhaps once we’ve completely conquered the Slytherins, this badge will be sold out.”
“We believe you, buddy,” the twins said, one on each side.
They descended the stone steps and stepped into the cold air.
The frosty grass crunched under their feet as they hurried down the slope toward the stadium.
The weather is nice today. There's no wind, and the sky is a uniform pearly white, which means good visibility without the glare of the sun.
“It seems Angelina misjudged the situation,” Arya said from behind. “Look, the weather is really nice today. We don’t need to have a Quidditch match with Slytherin in the cold wind and rain, don’t you think?”
“Always be prepared, Arya,” George chimed in for Angelina.
“I’d rather it were a rainy day,” Katie Bell said from the side. “That way we’d be prepared, while Slytherin wouldn’t be.”
“Go change your clothes,” Angelina said to them. “Put on your jerseys; we’re about to say something!”
They went to the dressing room to change, and Ron was still thinking about Hermione's kiss from earlier, so he put his clothes on backwards.
If Harry hadn't kindly stepped in to lend a hand, Ron might have experienced what it's like to have someone choking him.
“Stop thinking about things like that, Ron.” Harry patted Ron on the shoulder. “Let’s talk about everything after the match, okay? Let’s focus on the match first. Hermione’s still watching from up there—besides, you’ve had Felix Felicis, so you’ll definitely be able to take down those Slytherins… um.”
He ultimately didn't utter the word "scum." After all, he was now the acting professor. If he were still a Gryffindor, saying that would certainly be fine, but his status as a professor didn't allow him to say it.
The noise outside grew louder as people poured from the castle onto the stadium.
"Girls!" Angelina began her address.
“And the lads,” the Weasley twins reminded him in unison.
Angelina rolled her eyes at them: "This is our first match since Oliver and the others left school. I'm sure you can keep the Quidditch Cup in Professor McGonagall's office and prevent that bat from succeeding—"
After saying that, she took out a piece of parchment.
“I saw Slytherin’s final lineup,” Angelina said, looking at the parchment. “Last year’s batters, Derek and Pol, are gone, but Montaigne seems to have found two decent gorillas instead of really good fliers. Their names are Crabbe and Goyle, and I don’t know much about them—”
“I understand,” Ron said, raising his hand. “They don’t seem to be able to tell the difference between the head and the tail of a broom.”
Angelina put away the parchment and said, "But then again, I've always wondered how Derek and Ball found the stadium without relying on road signs."
“Crawb and Goyle are cut from the same cloth,” Ron reassured her.
"It seems like this is a good thing, at least our opponent is simple-minded," Angelina said happily. "But we must not let our guard down. Even if the opponent is a gorilla who can't even ride a broom, we must go all out and let the Slytherins know how powerful we are!"
"Let Slytherin know how powerful we are!" Everyone responded in unison to Angelina's admonition.
“It’s time.” Angelina glanced at her watch. “Let’s go, wish us luck—and you, Ron, show those Slytherins who look down on you what you’re capable of!”
"Don't worry, Captain!" Ron said confidently.
The locker room was right below the stands, and they could hear the sound of countless feet climbing onto the stands.
Someone started singing, and the team members stood up, carrying brooms.
They marched out of the locker room in a line and into the dazzling sunlight, where they received a thunderous welcome.
The Slytherin members were already standing there, also wearing silver crown-shaped badges.
The new captain, Monta, was about the same size as Dudley, and Harry was very suspicious that he had encountered another pig wearing a wig.
However, he thought this man named Monta was not even half as pleasing to the eye as Dudley.
Behind Monta stood Crabbe and Gore, both nearly equally burly, one tall and strong, the other short and stout. They blinked clumsily in the sunlight, waving their newly issued baseball bats.
"See them?" Ron whispered to Harry, tilting his head. "Look at them, don't they look like gorillas with baseball bats?"
Harry pursed his lips, forcibly suppressing a laugh. Beside Crabbe and Goyle, Draco stood squinting, the sunlight shimmering on his pale blond hair.
He caught Ron's gaze, patted the silver badge on his chest, and smiled smugly.
"The two captains shake hands," called the referee, Mrs. Hooch, and Angelina and Monta walked together.
Harry could tell that Monta wanted to break Angelina's fingers, but she didn't flinch.
"Get on the broom..."
Mrs. Hooch put the whistle in her mouth and blew it hard.
The kickoff has begun, and they've taken to the air.
Harry didn't rush to find the Golden Snitch; instead, he looked around.
Within his line of sight, Angelina swiftly grabbed the Quaffle and flew through the Slytherin defenders with an incredible leap.
Slytherin's captain Monta wanted to intimidate the opposing team's new captain with a foul, but George's bat hit Monta hard on the head with the stray ball, forcing him to dodge to avoid being knocked unconscious by the stray ball.
Taking advantage of this, Angelina sprinted forward in a spiral and threw the Quake into the ring.
"Well done, Johnson! Johnson launched an attack within the first few seconds, and Gryffindor scored!"
Lee Jordan shouted at the top of his lungs.
Harry suddenly heard a song drifting from the stands—he looked in the direction the song came from and saw the Slytherin sea of silver and green rising and falling in the stands.
"That silly Weasley, he can't block a single ball, the Slytherins sing, Weasley is our king."
"Weasley is like a dumpster, he always puts the ball in the goal. Weasley guarantees me the win. Weasley is our king."
Harry turned his head and saw that Ron's expression was normal, as if he didn't care about the singing at all.
When it was Slytherin's turn to attack, Warrington dribbled the ball toward Ron's goal.
He got closer and closer to Ron, but Ron didn't panic at all.
The Gryffindor defenders have already started their attack, flanking the ball from both sides in an attempt to stop the pursuer heading towards the Gryffindor goal.
Warrington evaded the defender with a beautiful "Satch Scissors" move and hurled the ball toward the goal.
The Slytherins' singing grew louder and louder; in their eyes, the ball was sure to go in.
However, Ron remained completely calm. He performed an inverted pose in mid-air, catching the Quaffle that was about to go in with both hands.
"Great! Ron!" Angelina cheered loudly, waving her arms.
The golden-red sea of Gryffindor also began to cheer, waving their house flag.
On the other hand, there was complete silence in Slytherin.
They thought this psychological tactic would cause Gryffindor's new goalkeeper to underperform, but to their surprise, not only did it fail to achieve its goal, but Ron also outplayed them.
No, pigeons?
Are you serious about picking a bell upside down?
Everyone here is a rookie, so why are you the only one who's so talented?
At this moment, Jordan was also excitedly commentating. His face was dark, but his white teeth were extremely conspicuous.
"Warrington has shaken off the Gryffindor defenders, leaving only the goalie in his path. Now, the situation presents the first test for Gryffindor's new goalie, Weasley, the younger brother of batters Fred and George, and the team's rising star... Why is it Weasley again? Wait, why did I say 'again'?... Oh no, the Gryffindor goal is in danger! He threw the ball—beautiful! Brilliant save! Weasley snatched what seemed like a sure goal with a flashy move, a huge blow to the Slytherins' morale! Well done! Weasley is our king!"
“Jordan!” Professor McGonagall reminded him seriously.
“Just kidding, Professor, add a little something extra—” Lee Jordan said with a grin as he turned around.
"Attack!" Ron shouted, passing the ball to Katie Bell.
Katie received the ball and, along with two other chasers, began a rapid breakthrough in a cone formation.
The scooter flew powerfully toward Katie, but George appeared just in time, swinging his bat and knocking the Quaffle away.
"Well done!" Angelina exclaimed in praise.
Slytherin's defenders began pressing, but Katie seized the opportunity and passed the ball to Arya, who then found an opening and passed it between the two to the unmarked Angelina.
Angelina rapidly increased the distance, then launched the Quake ball downwards from her elevated position...
"Johnson got the ball, shot... no, Johnson didn't shoot, she passed... Spinnet, she received the ball, shot! Goal!"
Lee Jordan roared wildly, venting his excitement.
"Beautiful! That fake shot and pass, Johnson! What an outstanding performance, what an excellent player! She is truly the backbone of Gryffindor in this game!"
The golden-red sea of Gryffindor erupted in deafening cheers once more as they unleashed their excitement.
Luna was also using her wand to control her comical lion hat, roaring as she jumped up and down, raising her hands and jumping for joy.
Just a few minutes into the game, Gryffindor had already taken a 20-point lead!
It is foreseeable that as a rookie goalkeeper, Ron can also keep the goal intact—they even see the prime Oliver Wood in Ron!
"Keep it up!" Slytherin captain Monta said with a grim face. "I need to remind you to strengthen your defense—Crawb, Goyle, are you two slow-witted?"
“It’s because his brain isn’t fully developed,” Fred chimed in with a grin.
“The cerebellum is completely underdeveloped,” George chimed in.
Crabbe and Gore chuckled upon hearing these two sentences.
"Idiots!" Meng Tai angrily slapped them both on the head. "He's insulting you!"
Crabbe and Gore immediately stopped laughing.
Slytherin kicks off again.
Lee Jordan continued the commentary.
"Go for it, Gryffindor!" he shouted.
"Jordan!" Professor McGonagall was genuinely angry now. "As a referee, you must remain neutral!"
“Yes, Professor, I’m just cheering them on as a Gryffindor.” Lee Jordan grinned. “Don’t worry, Professor, I won’t say anything like ‘Long live the great Gryffindor’ during the commentary…”
