Harry returns from Hogwarts Legacy
Chapter 434 The Worst Decision of My Life
Chapter 434 The Biggest Wrong Decision of My Life
Draco felt his fists clench hard at the mere thought of his goddess being held and kissed by someone else.
This is no ordinary minotaur; we must deliver a heavy blow!
Draco, his mind reeling, looked up and asked, "Harry, you have to help me with this—"
Harry suddenly felt playful. He cleared his throat and asked Draco, "What did you call me?"
“Harry,” Draco said, still confused.
“I’ve done you such a big favor, what do you call me?” Harry prompted again.
But Draco clearly didn't understand Harry's meaning. He scratched his head and tentatively asked, "Harry?"
Harry was a little speechless; Draco seemed rather dull.
“Once we're outside this door, you can call me Harry, and I won't argue with you.” Harry asked, exasperated, “But here, what do you call me?”
For a fleeting moment, Draco suddenly had a flash of inspiration.
"Great-great-grandfather!" he quickly corrected himself.
Harry nodded with a satisfied smile, and Draco, seeing Harry's satisfaction, hurriedly called out again, "Great-Grandpa!"
“You’re not stupid, are you?” Harry patted him on the shoulder. “Alright, leave this to me, don’t worry.”
Draco finally breathed a sigh of relief.
With Harry involved, it seems Ginny's problem will be solved as well—it's well known that Harry has a good relationship with the Weasleys.
“However, you can’t rely on me to woo girls,” Harry said again. “The only thing I can do for you is to make sure the Weasleys don’t stop you from pursuing Ginny, understand? As for how to win Ginny over, that’s up to you!”
"Understood! Great-Grandpa!" Draco gave a playful salute.
He now feels that life is full of hope, and with his great-uncle taking care of things, he is truly worth two men.
Cassandra was still a little curious as she left the garden.
"What are you doing all this so mysteriously?" she asked.
“Draco has a crush on a girl,” Harry said, describing the girl: “She’s very beautiful, pure-blooded, academically gifted, very capable, and most importantly, a great Quidditch player.”
“Ginny?” Cassandra thought for a moment, then nodded and said, “If it’s Ginny, it’s not impossible—at least she’s pure-blooded, which doesn’t contradict the Malfoy family’s principles.”
"And what about me?" Harry asked with a sheepish grin.
“Aren’t you also a young master of the Potter family?” Cassandra reached out and pinched Harry’s cheek. “You know how happy Dad was when he found out you were actually a member of the Potter family…”
Harry did have a vague recollection of it; when he first met Mr. Malfoy a century later, he mentioned that he was a member of the Potter family.
Mr. Malfoy, who had initially been threatening to kill him, suddenly changed his attitude in an instant.
“This kind of bloodline prejudice is unacceptable; this is a new society now,” Harry said seriously. “And you? Would you be happy because I’m a pure-blood wizard?”
Unexpectedly, Cassandra's little face immediately hardened.
"I'm with you not because you're a pure-blood wizard," she said seriously. "Even if you were a Muggle-born wizard, I would still..."
At this point, Cassandra suddenly paused, a suspicious blush appearing on her cheeks.
"What else?" Harry pressed.
“I’ll fall in love with you too, are you satisfied now, Pott?” Cassandra looked at Harry with a mixture of amusement and embarrassment.
Harry laughed heartily, put his arm around Cassandra's shoulder, and let her lean against him.
Cassandra struggled symbolically for a moment, then obediently nestled in his arms.
“You know?” Cassandra’s gaze drifted somewhat to the falling snow in the courtyard. “At first, I approached you because your father received news that you were a time traveler from the future… I was also quite curious about you, so your father acquiesced to it… But later, I discovered that you are actually a very reliable and good child, so…”
At this point, Cassandra sighed again.
"My biggest regret is taking you to Vienna for Christmas in 1888. It was probably the worst decision I ever made in my life."
Harry knew that Cassandra was referring to the time she met Vivi that Christmas, which led to her raising a pig only to have it snatched away by the Austro-Hungarian cabbage.
“Well…” Harry tried to change the subject, “everything has two sides. Let’s look at the bright side. At least we’ve made Vivi our best friend, haven’t we?”
"Heh." Cassandra's lips curled downwards. "You got off easy, you bastard."
It's clear that although she has accepted the fact, she still harbors resentment about it.
Harry stayed at the Malfoys' house for a few days before returning to Number Twelve Grimmauld Place with Cassandra.
Vivi acted quickly and had already bought number 13 Grimmauld Place.
"Why are you doing this?" Sirius said helplessly. "Number Twelve is your home too. After all, Harry is my godson, isn't he?"
“You’re already married, Sirius, this isn’t appropriate,” Harry said, putting his arm around Vivi’s waist. “Besides, we can’t always be your third wheel. After all, we need a home of our own, don’t we?”
Since that's what they've said, Sirius has no reason to object.
“Tomorrow I’m going to Buenos Aires with Gemma,” he said with a touch of emotion. “Time flies, doesn’t it? In the blink of an eye, Harry is already so big… It feels like just yesterday he was a year old, riding around the house on the little broom I bought him…”
Vivi's eyebrows twitched involuntarily.
She knew about this; Lily always liked to share some everyday things with her—including the fact that she had three boys—James, Harry, and Sirius.
Men are boys until they die.
One time, Lily angrily shared with Vivi about how Sirius had bought her Harry a mini flying broomstick, and how Harry had ridden it around the house.
"Harry is still young, what if something happens to him?"
Vivi also imagined a miniature version of her boyfriend riding a little flying broomstick, and couldn't help but chuckle.
The Weasley twins also bought Number Eleven Grimmauld Place, but the Weasleys still couldn't bear to part with their Burrow.
"You have such a nice home, why did you have to spend this money?" Mrs. Weasley said, but she couldn't help but feel proud.
It wasn't because she moved into such a luxurious mansion, but simply because she was moved and proud of her two sons' filial piety.
Despite the Weasley twins' insistence, the Weasleys moved into the detached house, where they continued to live together as a large family.
“I think we should divide up our living areas, our living space,” George said, sitting next to his girlfriend, Angelina Johnson—a former Quidditch player. “Yes, even though we won’t be moving out, we still need our own space,” Percy chimed in, raising his hand.
Ron didn't care about all that, because Hermione's parents had already bought number 10, which was next to number 11, as a gift for Hermione.
No wonder he's a rich guy who drives a Bentley...
On the eve of the end of the Christmas holidays, Harry also received an invitation from Imelda—the class reunion was scheduled for March 12th, and she hoped they could attend.
“Since no one objects, let’s go together,” Harry said, putting away the envelope.
“I have no objection,” Cassandra said.
After Sirius Black took office, the Ministry of Magic established the Floo Network, which allows for quick access from the bonfires in the Ministry of Magic in London to Hogwarts—of course, it is only open after the Christmas holidays each year and is not open at other times.
This saves us from having to endure another long train journey.
They went together to the Ministry of Magic and into a temporary room.
There are many familiar faces in it, including Hannah Abbott from Hufflepuff.
"Are you planning to reopen the Duel Hut this year?" Hannah asked.
“It’s not impossible,” Harry nodded, “but it will have to wait until time allows—well, it seems it’s your turn, Hannah.”
Hannah then belatedly turned around and hurriedly followed.
After Hannah, it was Harry's turn.
After saying goodbye to Cassandra, who had come to see him off—and receiving another hug from Mrs. Weasley—Harry stepped into the green fireplace and called out, "Hogwarts!"
The last thing he saw was Cassandra's pretty face—but before he could get a good look at it, it was engulfed in flames.
As he spun rapidly, he vaguely saw some wizards' rooms, but they all flashed by before he could see them clearly.
Then he slowed down and came to a perfect stop in Professor McGonagall's fireplace.
When he climbed out, the professor, who was working, barely even looked up.
"Good evening, Potter. Don't get too much dust on the carpet."
“No, Professor.” Harry straightened his glasses and smoothed his hair, and Ron appeared spinning around.
“I still don’t really like this method.” Ron coughed twice. “Look at you, covered in furnace ash. You really need to go back and wash yourself properly.”
“I think I said it, Weasley.” Professor McGonagall finally looked up, her face serious. “Don’t get too much dust on the floor. If you want to shake it off, I suggest you go outside.”
Ron, after hearing this, offered an apology and hurriedly left the office.
Immediately afterwards, Ginny appeared in the fireplace.
"Let's go." After saying goodbye to Ginny and Professor McGonagall, Harry called to Ginny to leave together.
When Ron reached the entrance to the Gryffindor common room, he discovered that the figure guarding the door was not the portrait of the Fat Lady, but the Sphinx.
“Hey, Sphinx,” Ron asked curiously, “Where’s the Fat Lady? If I remember correctly, she should be the one guarding the door now, right?”
“She obviously had too much fun at Christmas.” Sphinx smiled elegantly. “She and her friend Violet drank all the wine in that picture of drunken monks in the hallway next to the Charms classroom, and she’s still a little tipsy, so she asked me to watch the door to the Gryffindor common room for her.”
"You're a pretty nice person, aren't you?" Ron nodded, though for some reason, he had a bad feeling about it.
The Sphinx smiled.
"So, are you ready with my riddle?"
Ron finally understood where that ominous feeling came from—if the Sphinx was the doorman, it meant he would have to solve a riddle to get into the common room.
But now, all we can do is guess.
He said, forcing himself to speak, "Bring it on!"
“Listen carefully—” the Sphinx cleared its throat, “'What question can you never answer 'Yes' to?'”
"Are you dead?" Ron asked tentatively.
“No,” Ginny interrupted Ron, “if you ask the ghost, then he can give a ‘yes’ answer—I think the answer would be ‘Are you asleep?’”
“Strict, so very strict!” Sphinx laughed even harder, clapping for Ginny and saying, “Clever little witch—if I could give extra points to students, I would certainly give extra points to Gryffindor.”
“But you can’t, sir,” Ginny said.
The Sphinx laughed twice, then jumped aside, clearing a path for the entrance.
When they entered the common room, they found Hermione sitting inside peeling and eating a grapefruit.
When Hermione saw them, she even broke off a piece for each of them.
“Try it, especially you, Ron,” Hermione said to Ron. “Eating more grapefruit is good for your health—remember when you had a toothache? It was because you didn’t eat enough grapefruit. Eating more will effectively reduce the likelihood of your inflammation.”
"Really?" Ron looked at Yuzu suspiciously, then at Hermione. He had a feeling that Hermione was lying to him, but he had no proof.
However, pomelos... although they're a bit bitter, they're still quite delicious.
He put the pomelo in his mouth, and thought, "Hmm... it's alright."
"Any news?" Hermione asked, putting the grapefruit away.
“Nothing new.” Ginny sat down next to Hermione, holding the grapefruit. “I just heard the Fat Lady had been drinking, which is why she had the Sphinx guarding the door—”
“Yes, it’s a barrel of wine that’s five hundred years old.” Hermione said, rubbing her forehead. “I really don’t know how those portraits managed to get themselves drunk. It’s amazing, don’t you think?”
Just then, Dean Thomas walked over, still looking reserved.
Upon seeing him, the Weasley siblings, who had been smiling, suddenly turned grim.
Ron's face darkened because that scoundrel who had designs on his sister was here again!
Ginny looked upset because she had already broken up with Dean Thomas, and now that he was clinging to her like this, wasn't it a sign of relentless pursuit? But Thomas was the one who betrayed her, wasn't he?
