Harry returns from Hogwarts Legacy
Chapter 45: Good Principal Phineas
Chapter 45: Good Principal Phineas
Harry sat in the chair opposite the desk, looking a little reserved.
Dumbledore smiled at Harry kindly. He thought Harry was just nervous because it was his first interview with the headmaster.
"Oh, Harry, relax," said Dumbledore. "In fact, I was once a Gryffindor student, and even your senior."
Harry glanced up at Dumbledore and quickly looked down again.
He didn't intend to refute because he was not sure what the consequences of doing so would be.
He had only heard a little about the headmaster's title from Hagrid's words, but he had never met the headmaster, so Harry couldn't judge what the other party's attitude towards him was.
"Lemonade?" asked Dumbledore.
"Okay, with ice, thank you." Harry nodded obediently, not being polite at all.
Soon, a glass of iced lemonade appeared in front of him.
Harry reached for the glass of lemonade and took a sip -
"Ew!" Harry frowned in disgust, "It's so sweet..."
He doubted very much that sugar was free at Hogwarts, otherwise they wouldn't add it to lemonade without regard for cost.
Is this lemonade or lemon-flavored syrup?
"It seems you don't like it, what a pity." Dumbledore spread his hands, grabbed a cockroach from the jar on the table and put it into his mouth.
If Harry hadn't known that this thing was a magical candy, he would have vomited on the table.
"You two, there are still people sleeping here!" A familiar voice sounded from the wall, "Oh my God, Albus, you should know that even when I was the headmaster, I never met with students so late at night! Any student!"
It was Phineas Black, Harry knew that voice no matter how long it had passed.
Don't see me, don't see me...
Harry muttered to himself, trying not to attract Black's attention.
However, Murphy's Law tells us that the more you don't want something to happen, the more likely it is to happen.
After Phineas Black finished insulting Dumbledore, he noticed Harry sitting opposite him.
"Who are you...?" He felt that the figure was very familiar, but he couldn't remember it for a while.
After a while, he showed a look of sudden realization.
"Ha! I knew it! Let me see, Gryffindor..."
Dumbledore thought he was going to promote his theory of school and bloodline, so he immediately said, "Dalis, please do me a small favor."
"At your service, Albus."
Headmaster Delise Devonte lifted her skirt and saluted to Dumbledore like a lady, then rubbed her hands together and led a group of headmasters out of the picture frame and rushed into Phineas's frame.
"What...what are you going to do?" Phineas asked in horror.
The principals did not answer. They all stepped forward, threw him to the ground, tied him tightly to a chair with ropes, and blocked his mouth.
Phineas struggled for a while, then suddenly relaxed and stopped resisting.
I never thought that this Gryffindor kid would not die together with Lanlock, but would come to a hundred years later...
Judging from his appearance, he has become younger after time traveling?
Oh, so what? Even if he turns into ashes, this principal will still remember him!
but!
Phineas stared at Dumbledore outside the frame fiercely, thinking, so what if I recognize him? Who told you to tie me up? Even if you beg me, don't even think about me telling you the truth! Don't even think about it!
"Phineas is like this," Dumbledore smiled at Harry, "Actually he's not a bad guy, he's a good ..."
At this point, he got stuck.
"Good Headmaster?"
Harry followed Dumbledore's lead, but as he said this he felt goosebumps dancing wildly on his arms.
Good principal?
he?
Phineas Black?
Merlin has the longest rabbit ears...
Dumbledore had a complicated expression on his face. He opened his mouth but said nothing.
He was actually tortured by Phineas's various rules at Hogwarts for seven years when Phineas was the headmaster.
The principals in the surrounding photo frames also fell silent for a while, and then, unknown to whom, they started a burst of earth-shaking laughter.
"Oh my god, kid." Headmaster Delis wiped the tears from her laughter and said breathlessly, "If you were studying at Hogwarts when Phineas was the headmaster, you would find out how funny what you just said is..."
Harry shrugged. He had been to the headmaster's office before, but that was when he used Polyjuice Potion to transform into Phineas.
Besides, the other principals had no contact with him, so it was normal that they didn’t recognize him.
"But it is worth admitting that Phineas's efforts in promoting unity among the various colleges are beyond the reach of any other headmaster." Headmaster Eupraxia Moore said, "I am sure that even if the Big Four were to come back to life, they would not be able to do this."
Phineas kicked his legs hard in protest, and the stool made a clattering sound.
"The portraits are really magical, aren't they?" Dumbledore raised his glass of lemonade to the headmasters in the photo frames.
Harry felt that this should not be delayed any longer. He was still young and at the age where he needed more sleep.
"Well, Mr. Headmaster," he said, "I thought we should talk about what happened on the Quidditch pitch today."
"Go ahead." Dumbledore took out another cockroach and soaked it in the cup.
The cockroach's two antennae stretched out from the cup, swaying left and right, and even shaking in a very lifelike manner.
"I think my broom suddenly lost control. Someone must have cursed me." Harry said confidently, "It was my classmates who reminded me of this."
"It's Hermione." Dumbledore smiled, "There are only a handful of witches at her age who are smarter than her -"
"So what I want to ask you is, why did the person who cursed my broom dare to do this in front of you." Harry tried not to look at Dumbledore, but stared at the cup in his hand, "Or, why are you indifferent to it?"
"Someone is trying to save you, isn't there?" Dumbledore stroked his gray beard and pulled the cockroach candy off his beard.
After finally pulling the cockroach out from between his beard, Dumbledore looked up, only to see Harry still "stiffly" staring at the cup in his hand.
"You... are afraid of me?" Dumbledore raised his eyebrows, but he was not surprised.
It would be strange if students were not afraid when talking with the principal in the office.
"No, Mr. Headmaster, I have seen a kind of magic in a book." Harry said, "The book said that the magic can get the other person's thoughts by looking directly into their eyes."
