Harry returns from Hogwarts Legacy

Chapter 54 How Q attacked the professor

Chapter 54 How Q attacked the professor
As Christmas approaches, the weather in the Scottish Highlands is getting colder.

More and more students were unwilling to go out, and chose to stay in the castle, or take a warm rest by the fireplace, or sit at the long table to eat hot meals. Anyway, it was better than going out in the cold.

The conflict with Slytherin was not known to the professors. The Gryffindor students would not be stupid enough to fall into the trap, while the Slytherin students felt they could not afford to lose face.

Besides, several senior students attacked junior students and even called them out the word "mudblood". Even Snape would have to deduct points from them.

Before we had time to welcome the newcomers to the Duel Lodge, the Christmas holiday arrived as scheduled.

At Hogwarts, the Christmas holidays are long vacations, from mid-December to mid-January of the following year.

A hundred years ago, except for the time he went to Nurmengard Castle in the fifth grade, Harry stayed in school every Christmas.

After all, he had nowhere to go except Hogwarts.

Now back to 1991, I can go back to my aunt's house.

But for Harry, that place is not home, on the contrary, Hogwarts is more like his home.

So when Professor McGonagall came to register the list of students who would stay on campus for the holidays, he signed his name decisively.

On the one hand, it was because Hogwarts made him feel more comfortable, and on the other hand, he wanted to continue exploring the castle.

He sat at the Gryffindor table and ate breakfast carelessly. Ron and the others were still lying in bed sleeping because they had been partying too late before the holiday.

The arrival of Christmas gave him inspiration. During this festival, friends should give each other gifts.

Then I might as well give Ron a wand as a gift, he thought.

But the problem arises again. The wand needs to be purchased by the wizard himself in order to test whether it is compatible with the wizard. And Ron will be going home in two days, so we can't just buy a wand from Ollivander's and give it to him, right?

"It's him. It's him."

Just as Harry was thinking about something, the Weasley twins came up from the left and right.

"Our little hero—"

"No, it was the little lion king." Fred corrected George, "He defeated Slytherin - in every sense, he should be our lion king."

"He chewed up and spit out the Farley that Percy admired." George said, and invited Harry again: "So, our little lion king, do you want to participate in a great plan?"

"What plan?" Harry stuffed toast into his mouth.

"Quirrel, I mean Professor Quirrell," whispered Fred. "He smells really strong. Who knows what's wrapped under that thick turban? I think it's garlic, and George thinks it's some kind of dirty secret. Do you want to make a bet?"

"What's the bet?" Harry asked.

"Of course, we're betting on what's hidden under that big turban of his." A pair of clones said in unison.

Harry paused in his spoonful of baked beans in tomato sauce. He turned his head and looked at the two promising young men again.

He only knew that the twins liked to play pranks, but he didn't expect that they would play a prank on the professor.

Very good, very thoughtful...

Harry really couldn't like Professor Quirrell. Rather than saying he was a professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts, it would be more accurate to say that he was just here to kill time.

What disgusted him even more was that if Quirrell was a hypnotist like Professor Binns, it would be easy to do. However, Professor Quirrell not only taught hypnosis, but the lingering smell of garlic on his head always prevented people from falling asleep when they were drowsy.

Even a teacher like Hermione always called Quirrell by his first name when talking about him, instead of using the word "Professor". So he was also somewhat tempted and didn't want to refuse this opportunity to make things difficult for Quirrell.

"That's not right," Harry suddenly asked, "Aren't you going home?"

"The plan has changed. Mom and Dad are going to Romania to visit Charlie," Fred replied. "You must know Charlie, the Seeker and Captain of Gryffindor before you. He is raising dragons in Romania now - Ron should have mentioned him to you a lot."

"This is a cool job." Harry said, the problem he had been worrying about was finally solved.

Since Ron doesn't want to go home, just take him to Ollivander's Wand Shop in Diagon Alley.

"I think this job is cool, too. Actually, Charlie originally wanted to continue playing Quidditch, but his mother disagreed, saying that he should have a decent job." Fred shrugged. "In order not to make his mother sad, Charlie had to give up his favorite Quidditch. You know, he would talk about Quidditch with others non-stop during meals."

"That's terribly sad," said Harry. "What's your plan? I mean - how do you get Quirrell to take off his turban?"

"Here's the plan." Fred and George came over and whispered their plan to Harry.

"According to our observation, Quirrell leaves the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom at eight o'clock every morning and goes to the hall for dinner. It just so happens that it snowed recently. Why don't we hit him on the back of the head with a snowball to force him to take off his turban and clean it up? What do you think?"

"I'll join." Harry nodded. This plan was good, covert and had a suitable excuse.

If they were discovered, they would say they were just playing around and threw the ball in the wrong direction.

The professor won't argue with us students, right?

The twins looked at each other and high-fived.

"Oh yeah, I thought the little lion king wouldn't reject our plan."

"It's seven forty now, we have to get ready," George said again.

Harry thought about it and felt that relying solely on snowballs was not enough.

He said to the twins, "Wait here for me. I'm going back to the dormitory to get something."

"What is that?" Fred asked curiously.

"If snowballs don't work, use that," Harry said mysteriously.

After saying that, he turned and left the Gryffindor table.

In the dormitory, three friends were still sleeping soundly.

There were no classes today, so Harry didn't plan to wake them up.

He looked towards the window, where there was a flower pot.

The biting kale that was growing fatter and fatter was twisting its round body, and Harry actually saw a hint of comfort in it.

Neville has been taking care of this biting cabbage recently, and he is extremely meticulous from fertilizing to watering.

Harry could see that Neville was genuinely interested in plants.

Perhaps we can cultivate his interest in this area. After all, plants can also help people fight. For example, mandrake, poisonous tentacles and biting cabbage are all good helpers for wizards.
