Chapter 44 Undercurrent
After a brief chat, the SHIELD agents began the handover work.

It was called a handover, but in fact Su Ze just watched them re-organize the documents and materials sorted out by the Wakandans. Before that, Su Ze just went through them briefly, after all, he didn't understand these things very well.

However, judging from the actions of these people, they are obviously much more professional than a layman like me.

At first, Su Ze was worried whether they would cause trouble for him when they were handing over the business, such as asking questions that he couldn't answer, or accusing him of not doing things well enough.

But what Su Ze didn't expect was that the process was very smooth, and he didn't even need to intervene. Under the leadership of Harris, the group quickly sorted out all the information.

After being seen off by Harris, Suze packed his luggage and brought Rocket Raccoon to the Wakanda airport.

"To be honest, there are some things I shouldn't tell you, but now is a special situation, and since we are all family, I won't hide it from you."

Harris patted Su Ze's shoulder and spoke as they walked.

"Compared to Wakanda, the situation in China is much more dangerous. The Avengers failed and we suffered huge losses. Now the whole world hopes someone will stand up and give people confidence."

"I know, I saw the news. The United Nations has restored Steve Rogers' position and identity as Captain America." Su Ze nodded slightly.

But Harris smiled and shook his head. "I'm not talking about him. Times have changed. Captain America is only a spiritual symbol in today's world. If you want to really make people confident, you need strength."

Su Ze was stunned for a moment, and looked at Harris meaningfully. "Why do I feel like you have something else to say?"

"Haha." Harris waved his hand, his face filled with a gentle and relaxed smile. "Don't think too much, we're just chatting."

Chat? Su Ze didn't think it was that simple. The meaning expressed by Harris seemed to be very different from what he knew about SHIELD.

"Twenty years ago, everyone was trying to replicate Dr. Erkins's super soldier serum. In the eyes of the world at that time, the super soldier serum was the golden finger that determined the direction of future wars, but later, Howard Stark taught people another lesson."

Harris walked forward slowly, speaking casually.

"Ten years ago, Iron Man Tony Stark emerged. It was not until then that people realized that in the face of invasion from advanced civilizations, super soldiers were far less secure than technological deterrence."

Su Ze followed Harris's steps and listened to the other party quietly. Although he wanted to say something at one point, he did not disturb the other party in the end.

Harris continued. "The arrival of Thanos is a warning, or we can say that this is what we deserve. We can do better, but the reality is... we are too busy fighting among ourselves to take the right path."

"We didn't start the war, did we?" Su Ze frowned.

"really"

Hearing Su Ze's words, Harris suddenly stopped, paused for two seconds, and then nodded slowly.

"There is no shortage of people who crave chaos in this world, but the universe is huge. In the future, we will face more than just threats from Earth. After the Shutdown Crisis, the world will be reshuffled."

Su Ze observed Harris's expression and took over the conversation. "Hydra, Chitauri, Loki, Thanos, we are not the ones who started the fight. I don't think there is any right or wrong path."

"Is it really?"

Harris pushed up his glasses and thought for a long time before speaking.

"Although this is the first time we meet, I know you are a smart person, Kaiya. Smart people know what to do. Ms. Kalina will definitely send you to deal with New York's affairs next. I hope you can make the right decision."

"I may not be as smart as you think." Su Ze smiled.

Harris also smiled when he heard this and looked at Su Ze deeply. "You have great potential. I think I am pretty good at judging people."

"Maybe you are mistaken."

Su Ze answered indifferently and then stopped.

It was not until this time that the two men realized that they had walked in front of the Quinjet, and the Wakanda guards had been waiting here for a long time.

Glancing at the Wakandans standing guard, Harris did not continue the previous topic, but raised his hand and patted Suze on the shoulder. "I look forward to our next meeting, Kaia. When we meet next time, I will buy you a drink."

"I'll treat you when we get to New York."

Su Ze nodded slightly and said politely with a smile.

But when he turned his head, his eyes gradually turned cold.

The Wakanda female guard who was seeing him off saw Su Ze coming, took a step forward, and handed the pistol that had been disarmed back into Su Ze's hands.

"Agent Kaia, here's your gun."

Judging from the condition of the gun, these Wakandans have done some maintenance on it. It must be said that although they have always had a bad attitude towards outsiders, they are very meticulous in such small matters.

"Thank you."

Su Ze took the gun, then patted the Winter Soldier's light machine gun behind him. "I'll take this first. I've already told General Okoye about it."

"I know. The general has instructed us." The female guard had no objection.

Then she stepped aside and signaled Suze and Rocket Raccoon to board the plane.

The person who came to pick up Su Ze and return to the northern base in New York State was still the old acquaintance Boss. It can be seen that the bureau is really short of people now, and they wish one person could be used as two.

After boarding the Quinjet, Su Ze's face darkened slightly.

Noticing Suze's expression, Rocket Raccoon asked curiously. "What's wrong? You looked like you ate a dead fly from a while ago."

"It's nothing, maybe I'm overthinking it."

Su Ze glanced out the window and saw Harris still standing on the tarmac. When he saw Su Ze looking at him, he smiled and waved.

But when he saw his actions, Su Ze felt a chill on his back, as if he was being stared at by a poisonous snake, and his whole body felt like it was falling into an icy cave.

"Is there something wrong with that guy?" Rocket came over. He was not familiar with these people, so he had not spoken before. "Isn't he your colleague?"

"I'm not sure, but I can tell that he seems to be conveying some message to me."

Su Ze shook his head slightly and continued.

"I'm just an ordinary operative. There are many people like me in SHIELD. I can't understand why Harris suddenly told me so much. The only thing I can think of is that it has something to do with Ms. Kalina."

"Is that your female boss?" Rocket asked.

"Ah."

Su Ze frowned slightly.

"I am currently a member of Ms. Kalina's special operations team and I only take orders from her. She is also a senior executive of S.H.I.E.L.D. I think apart from this identity, I may not have any ability to catch the eye of the head of this region."

"That guy just mentioned the gang problem in New York."

After thinking for a while, Rocket spoke up and reminded.

When Su Ze heard this, he nodded seriously and narrowed his eyes slightly.

"It seems that the problem in New York is more serious than I thought. There may be a shadow of power struggle among the top executives of SHIELD."
