Chapter 784 The Possibility of Reviving a Great Being with Mortal Power

Chapter 784 The Possibility of Reviving a Great Being with Mortal Power

The massive Raven Ship was three times the height of the Raven Ship in the Blue Sea Islands. Based on his previous experience building ships in the Frozen Territory, Ryan guessed that this ship could probably hold five thousand people.

It's too big; its propulsion is definitely not from oars. Of course, once you see the thousands of Holy Domain Ravens on board, that's not a problem.

Turtle Island is not small, but it cannot accommodate thousands of ravens. What kind of otherworld is Mikragard that it can have so many sanctuaries?

This is not normal.

"A godlike body?"

Ryan could only guess that if these thousand-plus ravens represented half of a god's body, it would make sense, but the power of a god's body was probably not that 'weak'.

Ryan and Brand became the only two legends on Turtle Island.

Oh, and there's also a Raven King.

Liv followed behind Ryan, curiously approaching the Raven King. The people of Mikragard were certainly familiar with ravens, but she had never seen a Raven Orc before.

There was a vague sense of familiarity about him, and Liv sensed a certain power that drew her to the Raven King.

So she reached out and grabbed it, and the artifact, the Book of Knowledge, flew into Liv's hand. Staring blankly as her life-sustaining treasure disappeared into the distance, the Raven King finally began to struggle violently.

However, the illusory chains on its body sealed away all its magic, rendering its legendary power immobile.

"what is this?"

Liv asked curiously, flipping open the book in her hand and seeing one of the pages.

On that page, a giant with no hands glared fiercely, while thunder and gale formed a dark and oppressive background behind him, depicting his rage. It seemed as if this was not a painting on paper, but a portal to another dimension.

The Book of Knowledge still bears the seal of the ravens, but this seal could not stop Liv. As she murmured incantations, the grotesque giant on the pages showed faint signs of movement.

The air around them had also grown colder. Many of the crows were watching this area while they were exchanging words. Liv was a very special being in the whole world. If they were servants of the gods, then Liv was the gods' chosen one.

It is because the gods of this world have been gone for too long, and the ravens' pursuit of truth is even more extreme and twisted than that of magicians, that their attitude towards Liv has always been ambiguous.

"This is no good thing."

Ryan reached out and closed the Book of Knowledge in Liv's hand. Artifacts can be studied at any time, but right now they were under the noses of the ravens. If things really got out of hand, he wasn't confident he could get out of so many ravens.

What's more... things have already gotten out of hand here.

"I summoned you here not so that you would make a scene!"

Keck flew through the sky above Turtle Island, roaring loudly, while the surrounding crows chattered incessantly.

In Mikragard, they all have their own territories, know of each other's existence but never interact, the only difference is that even as ravens, they still have ideological conflicts due to their wizarding nature.

“Keck, you are calling us, saying that you have discovered His return, but we have not felt it.”

"And you also told us that His power is in these disgusting and ugly orcs. This shouldn't be the case. How could the divine source of a great god choose these orcs with raven wings?"

"Even without choosing humans from another world, His power is enough to select fairies as believers."

"We can't wait any longer. The shadows beneath those chaotic seas possess power beyond our reach. The return of the gods is our only chance of victory."

“Keck, you madman, I sense betrayal emanating from you.”

"Do you choose to give up this eternal body?"

The crows were all talking their own things, making a racket in the sky. Finally, Keck couldn't take it anymore. The turtle island floating on the sea suddenly stood up, and a heavy force covered the entire sea area. The sea surged up and huge waves swept over the crows.

This was like stirring up a powder keg. As Keck made his move, hundreds of ravens in the sky responded. As a result, flames soared into the sky and the sea, boulders surged from the ocean, and thunderstorms, hail, and giant trees appeared one after another.

Ryan saw the phantom giant bear stand upright, with lightning swirling between its claws and teeth. He also saw purple mist spreading, and even the monsters in the deep sea were turned belly up by the poison of the purple mist.

The vast sea area was transformed into a desolate forbidden zone in just a dozen breaths.

Ryan watched the spectacular battle from afar on the raven ship. The majority of the ravens used magical powers, but there were also quite a few ravens using alchemy.

Dark clouds covered the sky, while dazzling light and shadow bloomed on the sea. These raven spirits showed no mercy in their respective systems and beliefs.

However, Ryan discovered that neither of them could kill the other.

There is a distinction between the strong and the weak, and it is quite obvious that Kek and Kledal belong to the strongest group. There are no more than fifty ravens that can compare with them, and some weaker ravens cannot even last ten minutes in front of them.

Their divine bodies saved their lives; no matter how powerful these Saint-level forces were, they could not destroy the raven's physical body.

Gradually, more and more ravens were forced to leave the battlefield, while those that were still fighting fought fiercely.

Ryan looked at them carefully and memorized their unique methods. It would be great if he could learn them.

But it was almost time, and the ravens were in chaos, which was not what Ryan wanted to see.

He glanced at Brand, who understood and bowed. Then, the legendary aura of oppression spread across the battlefield.

Between the Holy Realm and the Legendary Realm, there is an insurmountable chasm, especially in this dead world, where even a single Legendary Realm cannot be born.

So many powerful crows were naturally not afraid of Brand, but their legendary power was enough to calm them down.

“Mr. Keck, didn’t you say that this was someone you invited to deal with that great being in the deep sea?”

"Judging from this, they don't seem very willing to accept your suggestion."

Ryan spoke to Keke, who was fiercely fighting against several ravens with whom he had a long-standing feud. Upon hearing Ryan's words, Keke cawed and the tortoise island behind him spat out a jet of water, shattering the dark vortex in the void ahead.

"Be quiet, everyone."

Kledar shouted and was the first to withdraw from the battlefield. He was old and highly respected, and many of the crows felt that it was pointless to continue, so they gradually stopped.

The ravens' gaze upon Ryan remained constant.

"These are the humans from another world that Keck mentioned in his letter?"

"The power of legends is rare; he must have been very powerful in that world."

"Does he possess the essence of a god? I didn't sense it."

Ryan wasn't targeting any particular raven, but continued speaking to Keke and Kledal:
"Perhaps you should tell these wizards who have come from afar in detail what happened."

Keck sent a message to all the ravens, mentioning that the divine essence was damaged and that the projection of a great being from the Chaotic Sea had devoured a portion of Mikragard's authority. Otherwise, these ravens wouldn't all be here.

Upon hearing Ryan's words, many of the ravens who were watching the show on the sidelines couldn't sit still any longer and began to question Keck.

“Keck Wizard, you have always been an outcast among us, a man who has infused himself with the blood of the gods. Why would you utter such news? Are the gods truly dead?”

The enormous tortoise island came to life. It was originally the physical body of the wizard Keke. The body, possessing the blood of the gods, had the characteristic of immortality. Even after so many years, it had not decayed due to time.

Standing on the back of Turtle Island, Keke looked at the ravens around him. After cawing, several large iron cages were thrown out, each containing a raven-beastman.

“I extracted great divinity from their souls; see for yourselves.”

The ravens are all great scholars and researchers. Many of the more than a thousand ravens are not good at experiments on the soul, but a small number of them are very authoritative in their field.

The souls of the raven-beastmen were tossed about and torn into thousands of pieces. Some ravens had already extracted pure faith power from them. This faith had nowhere to go, but it should have been absorbed by the great gods.

"The gods... are really dead."

The raven made this judgment and then fell into a long silence.

"Then what is our significance?"

"Our raven bodies were once part of a great being, but now that the gods are dead, what should we do?"

A raven asked a loud question, or rather, a bewildered inquiry; his question was the question of all the raven.

The terrifying knowledge they possessed, and the wisdom they had accumulated over a long period of time, caused them to lose their composure at this moment.

At this moment, Ryan stepped forward and said:

"Regarding this issue, I have different opinions from Keck and several other wizards, including Kledal."

"The gods have died, but as everyone knows, gods cannot die. Even if their essence is destroyed and their physical bodies perish, they cannot truly die. In the long river of time, in the future, they will eventually awaken."

"However, His time is simply too long, a thousand years, ten thousand years, a million years, are just a blink of an eye in the eyes of the gods."

"Great beings have no concept of life or death."

"Therefore, we believe that the gods of Mikragad have not died out completely."

"The fact that you are still alive, that your bodies have not decayed, that the ravens still exist in this sky, and that Mikragard has not completely fallen into death and been swallowed by the abyss, is the best evidence."

"Therefore, we suspect that He was simply injured."

“He was so badly wounded that he could not even respond to his believers and receive the faith that belongs to him.”

"The orcs can provide the answer to this."

Ryan looked at the Raven King beside him and said:

"If you don't believe me, you can ask it if it is no longer able to invoke the great being it serves."

During this process, the Raven King gradually regained his senses and was somewhat shocked to see the enormous number of ravens around him.

"Are these guys all servants of my lord?"

It looked at the crows and said loudly:
"We all serve the same great being, we should be friends!"

It roared, utterly terrified. Thousands of Saint-level ravens! The entire continent of Norris, from orcs to humans, plus elves, could never muster so many Saint-level warriors.

Not even half.

However, its words failed to gain the approval of any of the witch crows, who were all ancient creatures who had lived for thousands of years and were unlikely to be swayed by words.

“We don’t have any of our kind that are so ugly.”

"The kingdom of a great being would not allow such an ugly and barbaric creature to enter. Its eyes may appear wise, but the turbidity within them cannot be hidden from our gaze."

The ravens disagreed, but the Raven King was eager to establish contact with them.

"Damn it... this human is right, the great god has indeed fallen into slumber."

“We called upon Him and offered sacrifices, but He did not respond.”

"In the past, in the world I live in, we started a war between the gods and humans, but we failed because we lacked the necessary resources."

The Raven King echoed Ryan's earlier point, saying that the god was indeed asleep, but not dead. It didn't want these ravens to think that the great being was dead, because only if He was still alive could it have a conversation with these ravens.

"War of the Gods?"

"Orcs and humans?"

"If the knowledge carried in our souls is correct... when did humans and orcs become qualified to wage a war that belongs to the gods?"

"They can also clean up the records."

Instinctively, all the ravens sensed that the outside world had become very different.

The crows fell silent, which pleased Ryan, who then loudly proclaimed:
“I believe that your gods have not died and will return in another form.”

"But if you want to awaken and revive it ahead of time, you can't wait for time to pass."

“We should take the initiative to awaken the great being, use faith to unite the divine source, and let Him revive and return. Similarly, He also needs to reclaim His authority.”

"The only remaining part of the authority that can be found is the shadow in the depths of the ocean. Perhaps you should thank Him for devouring a part of the original authority of the great being, which has given you this opportunity."

"Take back that part of the authority, and then use the power of faith contained within these raven beastmen to reshape a great being."

Ryan's words made the ravens consider the feasibility, while the Raven King, who was heavily sealed off nearby, opened his eyes wide and lunged at Ryan in anger and shock.

"Damn humans, they actually want to sacrifice my race!"

Ryan ignored it and instead tried to win over the wizards, including Keck, saying:

"This is the only way I brought from another world, and I have already reached an agreement with Wizard Keck and the others."
